We spent a few days at this wonderful inn at the end of September and had a wonderful experience. The Victorian decor was lovely and the inn has been beautifully maintained. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owner, Randy, cooked an extraordinary breakfast each morning which was so filling and delicious that we easily postponed the next meal until late afternoon. The Charlotte Rose Inn is within easy walking distance of both downtown and the waterfront. I certainly recommend it to all.

Randy is a super host. Very friendly and did a great job showing us the property. He is also an amazing chef. His breakfasts were wonderful and the treats he put out each afternoon were awesome. He leaves coffee, tea, water in the main room. Lovely common sitting area. We stayed in the Lucy Maud Montgomery suite which was a nice size and had room for us to relax as well. Coffee and tea were in the room too. Bathroom was spacious and even had a make up mirror and sitting area. The only downside, understandable being an old building, was we could hear our neighbours next door clearly and also people above us. This is the only negative to our stay. People across the hall had no neighbours and said their room was very quiet.

Beautiful room (Milton Acorn suite) with antique furniture including a 4-poster bed. Comfortable mattress, private en-suite bathroom and a private deck, which is glorious in the afternoon. Fresh water daily, wine and water glasses, travel books and suggested itineraries in room and a wonderful welcome gift of Cows Creamery chocolate-dipped chips.|The Victorian inn is inviting and clean. Yummy afternoon snacks are available daily with tea or coffee self-serve-style in the parlour. But what was absolutely fabulous were the delicious, ample, healthy breakfasts so divine and filling we often skipped lunch.|One of the best B&Bs we’ve ever stayed in. Randy and staff up the ante on service and hospitality. Bonus, we walked to all Charlottetown attractions and left the car in the driveway.

We had a wonderful stay at the Charlotte Rose Inn during our visit to Prince Edward Island in 2025, and it truly made our trip memorable.||Location: Perfectly situated, the Inn is just a 5-minute walk to Queen Street, Victoria Park’s scenic boardwalk, and the Beaconsfield Historic House. The waterfront is also an easy 15-minute stroll away. The city center is filled with restaurants, cafés, and bars offering a wide range of dining choices — from casual bites to fine dining — all within walking distance.||Room: Our room was a comfortable size, with an impressively spacious bathroom. The air-conditioning was strong and much appreciated during the unusually hot summer. We also loved the practical touches — plenty of plug points with USB sockets, a quality steam iron, and thoughtful amenities.||Food & Beverage: Breakfast was outstanding — plentiful, varied, and of superb quality. The host bakes fresh pastries daily, each day offering something new and delicious. The common area is stocked 24/7 with coffee, tea, milk, water, and even chocolates, which felt like such a generous touch.||Service: The hospitality here is genuine and warm. As there’s no elevator, our host personally carried our heavy luggage to our first-floor room — a gesture we truly appreciated. Laundry service is available in-house for just CAD 10 per load, and ours was done the same day.||Aesthetic: The front garden is simply beautiful, adding to the charm and welcoming feel of the place.|||Disliked · Areas for Improvement: The mattress was a little too soft for our backs, and the room felt somewhat crowded with furniture and decorative pillows, which made the space feel less open.

We stayed two nights in August 2025. Perfectly located maybe 5 minute walk from main street Queen and because it is on a quiet street it is very calm at night. House and room nicely decorated. Room very comfortable with all you can ask for and more. We had the breakfast included ... wow ... both morning different selection that you choose from the day before. I never had such a great breakfast in a B&B in my life. In addition to your selection of eggs or pancake or vegetable choice you have bread, ham, honey (both locally) muffins, juice tea, coffee and impeccable service. The host was extremely nice and passionate about explaining everything you should know about the house. Cookies or other sweet items available and always home made. Tea, coffee, water available as well. You have of course the leisure to use the common area if you wish. The only negative would be the price at almost 380 cad$ per night. To be fair, it is high season in PEI and all hotels are expensive. If you remove about 2 amazing breakfast at minimum 30$ plus tax plus tips you would pay, you end up at about 300$ cad per night. It is high but if you want to treat yourself at least you will not regret for paying this.

We stayed in the Confederation Suite 8/21/2025-8/23/2025. It was an amazing space. The room was comfortable. We loved the sitting area. They supplied wine glasses and rocks glasses, which was helpful having visited some of the local distilleries and breweries. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and parks. Breakfasts were very elegant, with a wide variety for all 3 days. The room has a heat pump for heating and cooling. The staff were friendly and personable. Check in process was easy. My wife forgot an item in the room on the morning we checked out and we got a call when we were no more than 15 minutes out of town and were able to retrieve it easily. We have stayed in many BnBs and would highly recommend this inn.

Charlotte's Rose Inn is about as perfect a B&B as you are likely to find.||The Inn is decorated in a somewhat ornate Victorian style. We might not choose that for our own home, but it was fun to stay here. The decorator, whoever it might have been, had a terrific eye. The fabrics, wallpaper, and design elements work extremely well.||The Inn itself is in the northwest quadrant of the attractive old town in Charlottetown. It's an easy walk to the town's attractions, restaurants, and shops. They have three parking spots on site, as well as street parking. We had no trouble parking our car.||We were warmly welcomed on arrival and they quickly established things like our breakfast preferences and were ready to provide restaurant recommendations. The level of service was extremely high throughout our visit.||Breakfast was incredible. They had almost everything you might want in abundance, all fresh and well prepared. Waffles, charcuterie, fresh fruit, cereals, coffee, tea, you name it. On our second morning, we had to catch an early morning ferry, and they packed wonderful breakfasts for us on the road.||This is a spectacularly well-run B&B. We loved it and you should not hesitate to stay here.

We stayed here in 2008, and decided to return this year, even though the owners had changed. The present owners have kept the charm of the original inn and the room we had, Confederation Room, was exquisite with a most comfortable bed and set of pillows, a charming room, and a wonderful bathroom. The breakfasts were delicious and above "normal"; quite fancy and very tasty. We chose what we wanted the night before and it was served at a time we chose to our specifications. Randy was the chef and he did a superb job. Everything was delightful and we would love to return one day.

Yelp
My partner and I stayed here with our friend on our trip to PEI. We stayed in the Loft which was a 2 bedroom apartment. It was a true home away from home with a private entrance, kitchen (with stove, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer and all of the fixings) and living room. They gave us a couple of bags of chips and coffee as well. The apartment also included an assortment of games and beach towels we could use. I love that they are as eco-friendly as possible, with marked containers for recycling, housekeeping every 3 days, and refillable soap containers. The location is a short walk from all of the restaurants, shops and water front. I would love to come back and stay here again!

Yelp
Had I known there were no other photos, I would've taken a bunch. This place is wonderful! The location is perfect, a short walk to the waterfront and Victoria Row & Queen Street. They built a outdoor patio area which was prefect to relax and enjoy the sun before heading out to dinner. Our room was the Jacque Cartier room. Super comfortable queen size bed and linens. The bathroom has a shower claw foot tub. Dee and Chris are great innkeepers. The food here is delicious as well, with breakfast included with our stay. Selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, inn-baked scones, and two hot breakfast options. There also make French pressed coffee, which if you been around PEI, you know there are extremely limited good coffee options. Definitely staying on all our PEI visits.

Yelp
The Charlotte's Rose Inn was the highlight of our recent trip to Charlottetown, PEI. It was a beautiful Inn with wonderful inn-keepers. Breakfasts were prepared with local, organic ingredients and there was lots to do in the immediate area. We look forward to visiting again when we return to the island. 5 stars!

Yelp
As the other reviewers have written, this is a most amazing B and B. The hosts are extraordinarily friendly , helpful, and generous. The breakfasts are gourmet experiences with varied menus daily. Dee is a very talents chef and baker. She daily bakes pies , scones and other wonderful treats for her guests to have whoever they want with French press coffee or tea. The house is beautiful , our room was lovely and comfortable and there were generous amounts of amenities in the room. Every sort of guest need seems to have been anticipated in advance We were sorry to have to leave after 5 nights!

Yelp
This place is amazing. If you are looking for a room to stay in Charlottetown, look no further -- this is your place! I was looking for a room for Canada Day that was in Charlottetown and was lucky enough to snag the last room. Very convenient location -- only a few blocks away from everything! Upon our arrival we were greeted with fresh apple pie, homemade croissants, scones and an assortment of cookies, as well as teas and coffee. We were in the Lucy Maud Montgomery room (two twin beds). The room itself was very comfortable and very well kept. Modern bathroom attached with all of the creature comforts. They even had chairs that we could borrow when we went out to watch the fireworks at Victoria Park (only 2 blocks away). Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Dee and Chris were the perfect hosts -- warm, personable, great stories and great recommendations for the area. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
