Best service! Excellent pintxos! Cosy and intimate but still in the middle of Plaza Nueva!

In my opinion Bar Charly has the best rabas in town. Head there on the weekend for a ración de rabas (think fried calimare only infinitely better) which is a Bilbao specialty. Their selection of bar top pintxos is superb with both traditional classics and modern gems. Staff is friendly and helpful. The bar is nearly always crowded but is worth wading through the masses.

Popped in for a what Jorvic calls our Croatian breakfast..a small beer and a coffee.Also tried the ham buttie. Nice, small bar with some outdoor seating. Amstel beer. One of many good bars on the square...could spend the day going round them all....Also tried the tortilla, lovely and guey..worth the fifth star.

We really liked their pinchos, they had a very good variety of options, we especially liked the cheesy one. Good service.

Popped in here for some local Pinctos, the people working in the bar were super friendly and can speak English for us British idiots! 6 x small tapas and a pint for €20 which was a total bargain! Toilet in the back which is nice and clean A nice place to cop a squat in the square Really attentive service and really friendly which was exactly what we wanted after exploring Bilbao

Great spot, the deal for 12 pintxos and a bottle of wine is Amassing value.

Low quality food. Friendly service. We visited b cause it was highly recommended on websites but are very disappointed.

The pintxos are quite mediocre but the service was fast and quick. 6 pintxos + pint for 20€
