I went here for dinner with my girlfriend based on all of the positive reviews. We each ordered a cocktail, and they were both too sweet, and this is coming from someone who likes sweet drinks. The food (lamb chops and oxtail) was fine, but nothing spectacular and overpriced. The biggest issue is that we were served raw lamb (which we ordered medium). Our server didn't seem to care too much and we didn't even get an apology. They did take 10% off our bill, but with the 20% auto-gratuity (I would've only tipped 10% if I had the choice), it was still an overpay for being served raw meat.

Sabrina really made our experience memorable. She was aware, attentive, and flexible within her limits. Thank you for taking our pics, and making sure everything we experienced was above the standard.

Visited the spot after attending a show at the Barclays center. The visit was not bad but based on reviews I was expecting more.the food was ok, nothing to rave about, and the drinks were originally watered down. However after noting that to the bar tender he offered us remade drinks that were much better. The food was well cooked and beautifully presented. But I expected more from a Jamaican restaurant. The hostess was a bit dismissive, to the point where the waitress saw and apologized on her behalf. Stating that, “it’s been a rough night”. We were seated in the back where a gentleman, (drunk) kept glaring at my partner, making her uncomfortable.

Google
A smaller restaurant with a good soulful vibes. This restaurant is the epitome of black culture. From the black artwork posted on their walls to the R&B hits played through their sound system. I came here with my partner and it was a good time. - Alcoholic drink(s): We started off with the “Zombie,” and man it was hitting! This well blended drink will definitely have you in a good mood. We followed this drink with “Lucky Charm,” this was just as good but on the sweeter side. - Appetizer(s): We got the Jerk Wings with a side of Guava sauce and Shrimp and plantains. The Jerk wings were evenly charred and seasoned. Honestly, I wish it had a little more kick to it but a solid 9/10. For the Shrimp and plantains we gave it a 7/10 nothing crazy. - Entire: We got the Lamb Chops and Griot plate. My spouse is Haitian and said that the Griot was perfect but the rice wasn’t actual Djon rice. The meal was paired with Spinach which is weird. We gave it a 8/10 only because the Griot was fire. The lamb Chops were tendered and seasoned with a little kick. Mash potatoes were on point with the caramelize Brussels sprouts. Gave it a solid 9.5/10.

Sabrina, Ryan, Chloe are amazing. They kept their composure during a very busy time. They communicated well and the wait wasn’t too bad. They accommodated us even though we were late for our reservations. Good and drinks were delicious. Music was perfect. I’ll be back. Def recommend.

Food was amazing! We had rasta pasta with oxtails and lamb chops plus the grilled salmon! Compliments to the chef! Dallas out waitress was the absolute best and so sweet!

Google
Words could not express how great of an experience I had here if I wanted to! The food was amazing from the Guava Jerk wings to the Salmon and the Mac and Cheese was to die for but that all pales in comparison to the bartender Jazz. I am a connoisseur of fine drinks. In the US and abroad and I can say with absolute certainty that the best drinks, the best service I have had anywhere has been the service I was provided by this bartender. From the Margaritas to the Old Fashions (which I didn’t like before she made me one) to the atmosphere she provided, it was truly a pleasure. I will definitely make this a place I visit more often

Yelp
I've been to this place a few times, and have never been disappointed. I went recently and had an AMAZING server named Roxstar. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating and overall have 5-star service. The food was good. I had the curry mussels, and jerk lamb chops. My friend has the mac and cheese w/ oxtail and the lamb burger. No complaints! The drinks were strong and the ambiance was intimate, friendly and very grown and sexy. Would def recommend for a date or a group of 4 max.

Yelp
Food was delicious, drinks were on point and strong, atmosphere was a 10, and service was top tier. Will visit every time I'm in NY

Aryana N.

Yelp
Very good service and delicious food. Place is a bit small but overall good vibes ! Love the menu's on iPads.

Hulgrid G.

Yelp
Great spot for a delicious cocktail. Came in right at lunch and the staff was warm/inviting. Our mixologist was great at recommending what we'd might like and his drinks were amazing. We ordered the Cloud 9 and Dusse Sangria. The sangria was sweet and berry forward and the Cloud 9 tastes like a pina colada (was my favorite of the two). Recommend having a bite alongside the cocktails since most of the items in the menu have 2 types of spirits in them. I definitely want to come back here; music was excellent and so were the drinks.

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE. I took my girlfriend here last week. This restaurant puts an automatic 20% on your orders (which is fine.) I was out with my girlfriend at the bar and went to the bathroom before leaving. The bartender gives my girlfriend a free drink (because he was flirting with her) and then bad mouths me saying "your boyfriend doesn't tip" and shows her the bill, and made her give him a $20, without including the fact that YOU'RE ALREADY GETTING AN AUTOMATIC 20%. This is a disgrace. I wont be back.

Bronta F.

Yelp
I visited the restaurant for brunch on a Sunday with two girlfriends. My review reflects my experience. Ambiance- The restaurant is small, yet the music is good. Service - The server was friendly. Food - I ordered the oxtail and grits. The grits were good. The oxtail was tasty; however, it wasn't a portion commensurate with the price point (any price point for that matter). The kitchen took two pieces of oxtails, pulled the meat off the bone, spread that meat across the grits, and then added oxtail gravy. Dine at your own risk!

Yelp
1 month LATER. I came back for the lobster mac and cheese and I took a pic this time! Our waitress Maryland was badass and served us fast and pleasantly! That Mac and cheese lived up to the memorable hype.atmosphere is top tier. Definitely coming back again

Jessy L.

Yelp
Gotta love a black owned restaurant in close proximity to your employer. Came here for dinner three times and for brunch once. I've had fried calamari and lobster ragoon as appetizers. The fried Calamari is amazing especially with the dipping sauce. Lobster ragoons is something I would just have once. The steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli meal is the absolute best. I will not have the grilled chicken rasta pasta meal again; one time thing. The drinks are incredible! Especially the Junelee and Wray Maker. Unfortunately, my brunch experience wasn't the best. I ordered chicken and waffles but instead received chicken with french toast. My side of turkey bacon was burnt and almost inedible. I will be back for dinner and drinks as well as for brunch strictly to try the shrimp and grits. The drinks are too good not to return here.

ShaQuana M.

Yelp
Our whole table wasn't pleased with the food my chicken was fried to hard couldn't eat it got two stars for my drink being good

Audra C.

Yelp
Normally a good experience here but do not go on a night when there's an event at Barclay Center. We were seated in a makeshift dining room without warning or being asked if it was ok. We followed the hostess through the kitchen (yes through the kitchen) and down a few steps to get to an area outside behind the restaurant. Limited food items too. I asked for 3 different items. I was told they " ran out". I get the seating situation. Now that I know , I would never be ok with sitting out there. Running out of 3 menu items , not acceptable.

Yelp
Let me share my experience at Charm Bar and Restaurant - it was truly delightful! As soon as I stepped inside, I felt welcomed by the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Now, onto the best part - the food! The jerk wings, guava wings, and mushroom tacos were absolutely delicious, each bite bursting with flavor. I'll be honest, the griot was a bit saltier than I prefer, but it was still tasty. What stood out the most was the exceptional customer service. The staff made sure every detail was taken care of, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Beyond the food and service, the ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall charm. Whether it's a casual outing with friends or a special occasion, Charm Bar and Restaurant is a nice spot.

Yelp
Omg this drink is so good. I was out on a chilly day and have been trying to get a seat at Charmed for a while. Whenever I'd walk in they'd be super busy or packed and I finally got a chance to sit at the bar on a rainy night! This Campfire drink right here is amazing. It's warm and cozy and they light a marshmallow on fire. It's theatrical, it's extra and I love a cocktail with a story to tell! Okayyy! Check em out. Give it a try. This bar is Black owned so if you're looking to intentionally support a BIPOC business, here you go!

Kimberly G.

Yelp
The tables are very tight. There is no space. The drinks are underwhelming and grossly overpriced. The service was slow. Both the hostess and waiter were slow. Everyone is moving at a snail's pace. It took 15 minutes just to get water. Because the drinks took so long we couldn't even order food. The Junelee drink was gross. The Dream Catcher was just okay.

Imani B.

Yelp
Very Small Restaurant, so if you don't have a reservation I would call ahead to see if they have tables before going. Food was worth it, we ordered fries and the steak Mac for the table and it was so good! I usually don't enjoy Mac and cheese from restaurants but this one was really good. 8.5/10 for the Island Toast and Fried Chicken. The chicken was excellent no complaints, hot, seasoned and juicy! The toast on the other-hand, was a bit too toasted on one slice. If it wasn't for that it would've been a 10/10 10/10 for the Rose Sangria, the drinks are strong and tasty. If you like peach rings you'll enjoy this drink, you don't taste any alcohol and the cup was nice and full! 9.5/10 The whole experience! It was a bit hard getting up from my seat because of how small the space was. But the music was on point, the staff were quick and friendly, and it was the perfect Brooklyn restaurant for a small gathering!!!

Yelp
I ended up back here after a friend wanted to have a group birthday meal. This experience was much better than the first thankfully. I was not aware that this place had a back yard sitting area. Getting to it was interesting. Going through the kitchen, down some stairs and voila. The food this time was much better this time around. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Our waitress was busy but very attentive and friendly. My only frustrating part was that they didn't have the lamb burger that I wanted but our waitress recommended the lamb sliders and would've tried to get her manager to comp the fries. Well said manager did not comp the fries and I did have to pay separately for them which didn't make sense but oh well. Still was a nice experience.

Yelp
Charm, I like you and I shall certainly return. The size of the establishment is def. charming as it's quaint and intimate. What we ate- mushroom tacos, guava wings, seafood linguini, lamb burger What we drank- -2 junelees 1 dreamcatcher 1 cognac sidecar later we enjoyed our drinks! They were all very tasty! Pros- Mushroom tacos are AMAZING! Well Seasoned and simply DELICIOUS (I opted out of the bbq sauce and kept the crema) -We were able to walkin in pretty late (about 1115ish) and get seated in 20 minutes or so. Con- I specifically said that I don't like spice. I ordered my lamb burger with the sauce on the side. Never ate my burger until the next day only to discover it was slathered in the sauce. I was only able to eat half of it before I tossed it because I'm personally very sensitive to heat spices. I look forward to returning and exploring more food options on the menu. Delicious and will return.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to visit charm for sometime. The place was always booked up! My friends and I went on a Friday. The drinks were okay, definitely on the sweet side for most options. I had the cauliflower guava wings and plantain fritters. I thought both were great. Two of my friends ordered the shrimp scampi which they couldn't finish; The meal was sour. Another friend ordered the djon djon rice and salmon and she enjoyed her meal. One of my friends decided to pay with cash. We asked for the bill to be split evenly. A friend at the table mentioned that gratuity was included and so at some point after swiping one of our cards, it was mentioned that there was no cash in the register to break the $100 bill, so that if my friend wanted her change, she would have to wait for the server to return to make it, to which my friend responded she would like that. It was definitely awkward as it was implied that getting her cash back was optional.

Yelp
The food was really really good. We had the griot which looked dry but wasn't at all it was so tender & flavorful. Lamb chop rasta pasta was good. The salmon was really good too. I had the steak which had a great taste to it. The guava jerk was also good. For appetizers we had the lobster & lump crab Rangoon o so good. The Mac & cheese so good, the guava jerk wings were finger licking good. Overall our food was really good we were having a great time. Our waiter was really nice but I think he may have taken for granted that we were mad cool cuz he went on break & didn't come back till like an hour later. Now in the interim someone else comes & asks if we want the check I said no I told the waiter there was 2 birthdays so she said oh ƙ & then still didn't come back until our waiter came back asking if he was supposed to be doing something for us. I told him about the birthdays & wanted the check cuz at that point we had waited so long. Then he came out with a check & then came out with 2 shots with like a fire presentation which was dope. Overall, we had a good time and great food. The space is really small luckily they had a space in the back passed the kitchen. It was more spacious.

Dana L.

Yelp
The shrimp plantain cups are a must! The shrimp is very well seasoned. The cocktails were also very good. Loved the ambiance. There's a good amount of bar seating and tables. Great spot to grab a drink and bite before attending a show at the Barclays.

Alainia T.

Yelp
Food was mediocre at best with overpriced drinks. Bartender and hostess seemed as though they had an attitude, because we asked not to be seated on top of other patrons.

Cheri G.

Yelp
Arrived here on Friday around 1pm. They were serving brunch. They have an updated electronic ordering system. Nice very modern feel. They give you a tablet for your viewing of the menu items. I wasn't that hungry, so I opted for 2 apps so I could get a feel for the chef. I got the jerk wings, and they were cooked to perfection with a nice char on them. Authentic flavors. I also got a plantain cassava mixed type of cup served with pikliz a spicy (hatian) vinaigrette it was good. My brother ordered some items that he enjoyed, and I will show pictures of them. The staff was friendly, the place is really small but you can see they do alot with the space. They have been around for many years. This was my first time stopping in. I enjoyed my dusse sangria and I'd come back. Actually It was so good we tried to come back later that evening with friends, but they were packed to the max.

Koriey H.

Yelp
Charm was charming lol Me and a few friends came here without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon. Luckily they did offer a few tables outside and it were able to sit. I highly recommend making resy if you want to sit inside on the weekends. The host was great, full of energy and a welcoming smile. I also wanted to shoutout the server (a young man) who was more than patient and took great care of us. We sat down and was already vibing out with the playlist. R&B was blasting through this speakers and had us ready to drink and eat! My table decided to get the unlimited drinks with a brunch entree. FYI I believe our table got the tower because we had more than three at the table (allows them to be more efficient with refills, therefore you get your monies worth) However with the tower you can only get one flavor but then can change it once that tower is finished. Food was honestly not bad but not great. Was it worth the price with the vibes YES! I'll be back for sure.

Peta W.

Yelp
This is my third time at Charm. Personally I find the food to be flavorful and yummy. This particular day my fried rice was stale (as if cooked the day before and reheated), salmon nonetheless yummy and medicinal done as requested. The wagyu burger & Rasta pasta were great. Drinks are normally strong, this time around we opted for mocktails, which were bursting with flavors. Service was good, order came quicker than expected, waited a while to get a glass of wine, but the bartender redeemed himself with an extra pour. Yay! Overall ambiance is hip, trendy, youngish and urban. Bit crunch on space, but there's also back seating. I'd go again.

Ciarra L.

Yelp
Glad I finally made it over to this spot because I will definitely be returning! Came for an impromptu Sunday brunch after church. It was super easy to make a 12:15 reservation the morning of, so that's already a plus in my book. We were seated right away. My immediate thoughts were the place was small. There's not many tables and if you're sitting close to the door, you will freeze if it's cold out. They played a nice hip hop and R&B mix, which we enjoyed! Our server was super nice and gave us drink recommendations. I had the Wray maker which was very coconuty and sweet but not super strong. Not sure I loved the flavor overall but it was nice. While our appetizers came out quickly, it took forever (nearly 40 mins) to get our mains. It was packed so maybe they were overwhelmed but we were starving. To eat we had: Lobster & Lump Crab Rangoon: This didn't taste like a traditional crab rangoon but I was happy with it! The fish tasted fresh and was not drowned our by the cream cheese. The sweet and sour sauce it came with was also pleasantly different. I'd come back to sit at the bar and just eat these. Mac & Cheese: This was a solid mac and cheese. Nothing super special but it was baked well and still maintained its creaminess. Oxtail and Grits: Now this is what I came for. Grits were perfectly cooked and buttery. Oxtail was savory and tender and the stew had butter beans so those were a nice surprise to find throughout. And reasonably priced ($28) which is great considering oxtail prices are insane nowadays. Chicken and Waffles: Chicken was crispy and seasoned well. Waffle was a little on the thin side for my taste but all in all, still pretty good! Biscuits: Skip these. I'm sorry but they were sooo dry and just not very good. Overall we had a great time here for brunch and I could easily see this being a staple for me if I'm in the area downtown or coming from Barclays! Rating: 4/5 stars.

Gregg J.

Yelp
Great service, great food, great atmosphere, service was excellent very nice staff, I recommend the wings ..love everything

Alicia V.

Yelp
Been eyeing this place for sometime now and super excited when I was able to go this past weekend. The restaurant is small but they do have an extra space in the back(u do have to pass the kitchen) The menu was very creative with it being on an iPad for everyone. The drinks were really good and strong. The food was really good and good portions. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I was so looking forward to the oxtails and they didn't have any that day. So that was a bummer being it's a Caribbean restaurant and it's so advertised on their IG. I would definitely recommend this place and hopefully I can make it back and try them!

Casai H.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious I will come back again. The fact that you can't make reservations online is absolutely ridiculous. Then when I got there they sat us in there back outdoor seating that doesn't have heat in the middle of winter. Once they fix all of that it'll be better

Lola B.

Yelp
First things first, the hostess was rude and snobby which is unfair because now you can't really enjoy the experience. The energy was horrible on the walk in like she didn't want us there or was annoyed to be at work in general. The badly built girl in the front with the silly bucket hat Never greeted us or accommodated us , just stared blankly so i went to sit at a table assuming maybe they dont seat ppl here.. I came to check this place out because of how good they the food looked on instagram i wanted to try it out. Didn't get to because she walks up and all of a sudden she "Speaks" finally and says there was a reservation there for a two top . We saw another table she said that one was taken too and we have to wait 30 mins if they don't show up we can sit back down , again with a nasty attitude which is why we just left . experience over thanks to the square body flat back in the front being rude for no reason at all . Only reason 1 star was given hope she has better days and wont ruin other peoples experience moving forward .

Eugene P.

Yelp
Typical NYC eatery. Nothing exciting to share. But I would be remiss if I didn't mention the tacky tablet menus. Poor UX/UI. Clunky, cheap, and you can't place your order. I will not accept this is gold plated menu contributes to restaurant efficiency . The servers are hollow. The place is optimized to maximize revenue per square footage and the food service is southern slow -- not a good thing. The oxtails and grits appears to be a top seller, as many people ordered it.

Syon S.

Yelp
Charm is a newly built restaurant downtown Brooklyn that is currently thriving with newly built high rises and businesses. This is a black owned restaurant and let me tell you it met all my expectations. I went for my friends private birthday dinner, they have a backyard setup for if you want to do group private dinners and it's a prefix menu. I had the junelee which is a Hennessy based creamy drink and I highly recommend it well that's if you a rent lactose intolerant lol. The drink was very strong and well blended with taste. We were then presented with several shots that were lit on fire and I must say it was tasty but only If I couldn't recall what type of shot it was but I do know it was blue. The food was amazing I had the oranger ginger glazed salmon and it was one of the best Salmon I've ever had. It was sweet, well cooked, crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. The staff was very friendly and welcoming , the food came out in a timely fashion as well as the drinks. I'll surely recommend this and will be back.

Woody G.

Yelp
Great food. Excellent Staff and Ambiance is on point. Hidden gem right in an awesome location.

June P.

Yelp
This was my 2nd time here. I love that they have a full bar. The food was good I ordered the jerk lamb chops. But I went on a Saturday evening and the service was really slow. My entree came out 1.5 hours after I ordered. When paying me and my friend split the bill but the gratuity (20% automatically included) did not show until after I paid and the tip amount on my receipt appeared to be the full 20% and then some. I'd return here again, probably on a weekday and definitely pay with cash

Saasha G.

Yelp
Good Brunch! Good drinks! Good service! I came here for Sunday Brunch and was sure to make a reservation for 12:30pm. I got here at 12:17 and was seated immediately to a packed dining room which was surprising as I thought I would be early for Brunch. The DJ must've had a obsession with Rihanna because that's all that was plying but it didn't bother me lol. I decided to try tthe birds of prey drink since I thought I would get it in that nice bird glass but womp womp, it was served in a martini glass and tasted really good. I also has the rose Sangria and that was good as well. We had the shrimp cups, oxtails grits and steak and eggs. Cons - The eggs tasted like carton eggs and there was no fluff to them. - the grits were good but needed some cheese to give it some saltiness to contrast the sweetness of the oxtails Pros -The service was great! Our server was back and forth bringin things and clearing things quickly. -The steak was awesome! Whatever seasoning they are putting on it, keep it up. My steak was cooked to my liking and it was a big piece. - The shrimp in the shrimp cups were grilled nicely and cooked well. The salsa and cream were smooth. I plan to go back here and sit at the bar because the drinks were really good.

Tamika G.

Yelp
Stopped in to Charm on a sunday for a nice brunch and left satisfied. It was the regular brooklyn brunch vibe, music playing, ppl laughing, and having a good time. It was not overcrowded but it was a full restaurant. We got there around 1215 for a 1230 reservation, and we were seated right away. The service was great and the dj was good. Resturant decor was cute as well. I ordered the rum raisin drink it tasted like rubbing alcohol. The birds of prey drink was deelish but did not come in the cute glass. The steak and eggs were good..visually appealing, right flavors and steak cooked well. The eggs however tasted fake. We also tried the oxtail and grits, while the oxtail was cooked well it lacked the spices im accustomed to and the grits needed salt. The shrimp cups were good..shrimp cooked perfectly but the plaintain cups were cold.

Tye R.

Yelp
Charm is easily one of my favorite places to dine in Brooklyn. I can't be in the area without stopping by. The food is always well seasoned and cooked well, the drinks are strong, and the staff are super personable. This time around, I tried the lamb chops for the first time are they were cooked to a perfect medium. The lobster was cooked just enough to maintain a translucent center and remain tender enough to easily slice/bite. We got the yucca fries which came with a jerk aioli and I need this sauce bottles so I can have it in my house. I've been coming here since they opened and will remain a loyal customer. If you are planning to dine here on a weekend or with more than 2 people in your party, I highly suggest you make a reservation. The actual space is small and cannot accommodate large groups on short notice. Rather than be upset, plan ahead. However, it is worth it every time.

Kristina B.

Yelp
Popped in here on a whim and boy was it a wise choice! From the music -old and new R&B- to the yummy food and delicious cocktails, I was in love. I got the vegan barbecue "chicken" with coconut rice and steamed broccoli. My friend got the quesadillas. The food was amazing! Especially the vegan barbecue "chicken" Another thing- the cocktails! I had the Smoke and Migos, which is so cool when prepared to see the smoke rising from the glass *chef's kiss* Can't remember the other drinks name, but it was in a glass mug and filled with coconut milk, soooo delicious! Definitely feel like we lucked out just stumbling upon Charmed; great vibe, excellent food and cocktails.

Keri M.

Yelp
This place was really nice but small. I had the honey glazed salmon with the pineapple rice and spinach. It was delicious and flavorful. I enjoyed the calamari, it was very good as well. I enjoyed my drink, it was sweet, I forgot what it was called. My only issue was the bathroom, I wish it was a little bit cleaner. Other than that, everyone was nice, and seated us promptly.

Kim P.

Yelp
Charm, my NEW TOP Jamaican spot near Barclays!!! CHARM - UNDERSTOOD the assignment. My girls and I stopped in for Sunday Brunch and were pleasantly impressed by the quaint and comfortable atmosphere. We felt the warmth of the vibe of the restaurant as soon as we stepped in. Our entrees were top tier. My girlfriend had the steak cheese eggs and biscuits, my other GF and I had the Mango French toast, sides eggs with cheese and bacon. Let's just say conversation was NONE, everything was delicious. We enjoyed the Mango Mimosas, nice touch! Now for the service, on point. Thank you Dammoy. Your service, and attention to detail and care, was not missed. You are PURE JOY. It's because of your service/kindness, we will continue to support. Thank you my friend.

Shaasia L.

Yelp
Love love love it here. It is small but that's fine because I enjoy sitting at the bar anyway. I left this place talking about this lamb burger for TWO DAYS. Matter fact just writing this review I wanna go today lol! The bar tender was kind and attentive. The music was good and the food was amazing.

Felicia I.

Yelp
I'm gonna list the pros & cons & go from there. Pros * Tasty specialty drinks * Food is good overall (but I have to come back to this) * Conveniently located downtown Brooklyn * I ordered the Salmon with Rasta pasta & the salmon was good & cooked well. Cons *Very small & tables are damn near on top of each other. I asked the waiter if there were seats in the back & he said "yes, but a large party already has it reserved". I wish I could've saw how big it is in the back. *some items on the menu they have the spicy symbol, however there are more items that should have it. We tried the "lobster & crab Rangoon" & the filling was very spicy. I could only eat one & had to do the mouth motion to let air in my mouth because it was spicy & it didn't have the symbol near it on the menu. My cousin had the lamp burger & also said it was spicy & it didn't have the symbol indicating spicy. * 20% gratuity is added & my waiter definitely didn't deserve that, but it wasn't a situation where he was rude or unprofessional so we let it be, however after brining our drinks & food, we didn't see him until the end when he asked "if we wanted the check now". I guess servers knowing gratuity is included, there is no above & beyond service, which is silly because I've tipped over that amount with exceptional service, but this was far from it. Overall it was cool experience, however the cons really make me question if I would go back. If I did I might would aim for the bar & not a table since there's less than 20 tables & as I mentioned prior you can't even stretch your arm out to the side without touching the person next to you because it's so small. I also don't like the gratuity being added on everyone's tab. 4 people or more, cool, but a party of two?!? Not that fond of it.

Yelp
Stopped here on my way to a concert in prospect park. While the atmosphere was supper cute and the staff was friendly, I must admit, I was a little disappointed in the food. As a Haitian, when I see griot and mushroom rice on the menu, I expected it to taste authentic. Unfortunately this was not the case. I still give this place 3 stars because the drinks were good and lobster & crab Rangoon was fire but don't expect to have an authentic Haitian meal here.

The oxtail Mac was really good and very filling really can't go wrong with oxtail and Mac drinks were really good also I just wish the place was a little bigger other than that it was cool I'd definitely go back

Yelp
Very nice restaurant Caribbean restaurant. It had very great drinks. A very great pour. They have a nice patio private room area in the back for larger parties. Service was was good but a little slow. My cousin has her birthday here with a total of over 20 friends. We had a large table in the back, place was very accommodating. Food came out hot and delicious. Lamb Sliders were very flavorful. I had a great time in a very popular area. The Barclays Center was pretty much right next door.

Yelp
Great food just a little tight inside so when it gets crowded you feel it but overall a great spot

Yelp
Went back here to try their brunch yesterday (Saturday). Had reservations at 1215pm and it was surprisingly empty when we got there (could be cuz of the rain or cuz it was early idk). We were greeted immediately and seated right away. We had the same amazing experience I had from my previous visit, both food, drinks, and service! Ambiance was good too, music playing in the background and but not too loud where you can't have a convo. Brooke was our waitress this time. She was sweet and attentive and gave us good feedback on menu items. Ashlee also checked on our table to make sure we were always good. We did the bottomless brunch. $50 for 90 minutes unlimited mimosas and Bellinis and an entree. We tried the mango (5/5), pear and rosemary (5/5), passion fruit (3/5), and guava (3/5) flavor Bellinis. We didn't really taste the guava and passion fruit flavors at all, just tasted like Prosecco, but the other 2 flavors were really good! For food we started with the shrimp and plantain cups $14 and the calamari $16. Both apps were bomb! 5/5. You get two plantain cups and each comes with 2 big succulent shrimps. The calamari might be the best I've had! It was the perfect combination of crunchy on the outside but so juicy on the inside and the portion was huge! The sauce is different too but really good. My friend had the Rasta pasta with grilled shrimp and I had the 2 egg plate with eggs over easy, home fries, and a side salad. I also had a side of bacon ($3) which was cooked perfectly. Oh! Last visit I left a review saying I think they should change the angel hair pasta in the West Indies scampi. Ashlee informed me they yielded that suggestion and it's now made with linguine! Yess! I definitely recommend here for everything! Whether you just want drinks, brunch, or dinner, this is definitely a go to spot! I would just always recommend a reservation to be safe cuz I know it to be pretty busy usually. Yelp wasn't allowing me to add all the pics so I added the most important ones.

Yelp
I went to Charm Bar for brunch, and it was okay. The place is on the smaller size which is fine. I would recommend you making a reservation which I did. We ordered the fried calamari, shrimp Rasta pasta, garlic mashed potatoes and plantain and cassava fritters. I did like the fritters because they had some spice from the scotch bonnet pepper. The shrimp pasta, calamari and garlic mashed potatoes were decent. The calamari was a little greasy. What I liked the most was the ambiance and music. Service was not the best.

Yelp
It's very small in here Idk how many workers they have but they need new and more efficient ones. & The women that work here need a class on customer service because their attitudes were nasty. The food and music were good but everything else was terrible. We had reservations for 9pm and had to wait 20 mins to get seated and another 25 minutes to order. The kitchen took forever to bring out a Caesar salad and it took almost an hour to bring out pasta and a burger. The waitress we had was RUDE AF she came over one time to bring the salad and never came back and the bartender who claimed to be the manager was also rude. We didn't get our food until almost 11pm by the time it came out we weren't even hungry anymore and there were no apologies or compensations for the long ass wait. I asked for us to be comped with something and all we got was 10% off the bill which did nothing as everything is overpriced. The table that came way after us order before us and their food took forever to come out, they too were very disappointed yet they were asked if they wanted free shots for the wait.... Don't waste your time coming here if you are hungry because you will be waiting a long time and they won't care. Oh and not to mention they automatically add 20% gratuity to the bill which they did not deserve.

Yelp
I've been there about 4 times, the taste of the food is spectacular! The Oxtails, the mini burgers, the seafood with shrimp , the liquor has a nice presentation .. everything is delicious and well thought out. The ambiance is great, the waitresses are nice and friendly. Seating outside is optional. 10/10

Yelp
Brooklyn's finest! Charm Bar was the pick me up I needed on a quick trip to NYC and out within 24 hours. It's a Friday summer afternoon in NYC, so we had to hit the streets! My foodie homegirl recommended Charm Bar so we took the 2 train from Harlem to BK. Easy ride to Atlantic Ave/Barclay Center stop. Just walk across the street and you're there (next door to Patsy's Pizza). It's a quaint, little place. There are about 8 tables and a generously sized bar. There's an area in the back for private parties but I didn't check it out. We sat at the bar and the bartender is everything. SHE had the libations flowing and served up the best drinks. We even did shots with the patrons beside us. We ordered appetizers, cocktails and entrees. Everything was on point - my only disappointment was they were out of the Beet Salad. Instead I ordered the Spinach Salad, Jerk wings, Calamari and my friend had the Rasta Pasta with oxtail. 10/10 with everything! The Dusse Red Sangria was the star of the meal though - two rounds! I think we stumbled out of there to head back uptown. Our new friends would have had us drinking more but we had a memorial service to attend. Celebrating life always! Highly recommend and can't wait to get back. Add this spot to your list!
