Went there with some family members. We tried one of the vegan ice creams, vanilla, tea time, and a couple others. Everyone agreed that the ice cream was great! I especially enjoyed the tea time ice cream. It was earl grey tea with pieces of cake in it. I don't know how the cake stayed perfect without getting all mushy. The only complaint was that one of the teens in my group thought the texture of the sprinkles didn't go well with the vanilla ice cream. So glad they had vegan options. This is good for lactose intolerant people as well. Everyone in my group was able to find something enjoyable. I don't quite understand what a charm school has to do with ice cream. It might be good to get a bit of back story on the creation of this business. It's slightly odd to walk into an ice cream shop decorated with wallpaper featuring books and book shelves. I actually passed up eating at this place multiple times in the past because of the name and the photos online. After finally visiting, I'll eat the ice cream but I'll definitely pass on the decor. 😉

One of the most interesting and tasty ice cream parlors that I have ever been to. I especially enjoyed the toasted fluff on top of my ice cream cone. Definitely worth the trip! Vegan and gluten free options available; see an attendant if you have any special dietary or allergy restrictions.

Charm School is the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The constant rotation of flavors, vegan options and their just delightfully fresh taste build my case. Their shop on Broad Street is open, bright and airy. Tons of seating and a delightfully “Richmond” experience (canned Liquid Death mountain water, music playing was ABBA once then metal another time). The French schoolhouse artwork in the space is just too cute. Also- cup and cone are the same price?! Yes please. Don’t wait- go to Charm School now.

The Charm School is a "charming" little ice cream shop with lots of fun character. The sweet aroma of freshly made waffle cones is irresistibly inviting from the street. The service was fast and they kept the crowd moving. They offered a good variety of ice cream flavors including Vegan options. The ice cream itself was yummy and their homemade waffle cones were good too. The price was a great value compared to other ice cream shops. Definitely worth checking out.

I walked into this place wanting to be critical, because I remember when I used to come here in 2018-2019 the service wasn't very friendly. They also have a snarky Q&A on their website which I find unnecessary. BUT I can't deny that this place is incredible. This is definitely among the best ice cream in Richmond and probably in general, it's definitely in my Top 2. This place and Scoop are now my go-to recommendations and where I will be going for my cravings. I ordered the Peachmallow and the Princess Cake, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed (especially Princess Cake). The prices were also pretty good compared to other places. The staff turned out to be SUPER friendly and welcoming! I walked in a bit nervous that they would be mean, but I ended up feeling really comfortable there. They don't offer samples, which is pretty typical of most ice cream places in RVA these days. I also want to agree with another review I read and say that I do wish they offered flights, so that I could try more of their flavors since they're so unique. I always wish I knew why their hours are so strange. I'm sad that they're only open a few days a week for around 5-6 hours each day. Amazing ice cream and I will definitely be back!

Delicious ice cream worth the stop. They have some very unique and different flavors that are good and worth sampling. They also have the common flavors too just in case you're not that adventurous. Very hip ice cream shop and very friendly staff.

A good selection of unique and ordinary flavors of ice cream - all delicious. They even have a few vegan ice creams available - I tried the vegan chocolate and it is very good, and very rich! We had sundaes and I had mine topped with toasted fluff - so good!

Charm School is #Yum#Yum. The flavors are amazing. They have a nice big clean seating area. Dairy free, gluten free and regular recipes. The staff are friendly and you can sample as much as you want. The Cinnadoodle is by far my favorite! The fancy sprinkles and the toasted marshmallow fluff is so delicious. You can get a cup or freshly made waffle cone they make them in front of you. Anytime I'm in Richmond i have to stop in.
