Great sit-down breakfast spot in Mt. Vernon. They don’t have an espresso machine, so they don’t make lattes but they do have great cold brew! The food options are great and they’re very willing to accommodate allergies. I’ve been popping in here for a few years and always had a great experience. The staff is busy but very kind.

Great little corner cafe great for a quick sit down meal or to-go. There’s seating inside and a few tables outside and it’s pay-and-go after ordering at the counter My favorite part was their coffee ice maker - they have a machine that makes ice cubes of frozen coffee concentrate for their iced coffee drinks, I had a honey vanilla cold brew and the ice cubes were a game changer

Very chill place for a non crowed peaceful breakfast. They were very friendly and warned me and a colleague before the kitchen closed. I didn't realize that there were no waiters to take your order. You must oder at the register and the food will be delivered to your table. Less one star for the turkey bacon not being crispy. Turkey bacon should not be served like cooked bologna. Let the heat cook it till its brown. Other than that I'll be back...Nice place

First time there just started working in the area and was looking for something inexpensive and good which is hard to find downtown. It was both of those things, the atmosphere looked nice, looking forward to next time eating there. My previous rating was 4 stars. I went back again and the experience was disappointing. The BLT cheeseburger which has bacon lettuce, tomato and provolone cheese was $14. I only wanted a bacon hamburger and added red peppers. I was told that I had to then go to the option of build your own burger., Wish now cost me $16. I inquired why I could not just get the BLT cheeseburger and start to eliminate some of the options. I was told I had to go and start from scratch with the build your own burger, which caused me two dollars more with less options. This made no sense to me. The cashier this day was different. I went on and paid the additional two dollars because I did not want to get in an argument, but I was highly disappointed With how things turned out, therefore, I came back to my review and adjusted my stars to reflect my disappointment

Manager Heidi spectacular! Food phenomenal taste , texture and presentation on point! Everything from walking in the door to the time we left was perfect for Natalie and I girl day out adventure in Baltimore!

Sorry to say, ordered breakfast platter and French toast platter . The eggs were salty, bacon taste like oil, hash browns taste like cardboard, fruit was sour and spoil, the French toast taste like bread no cinnamon or sugar. This was very disappointing. We also purchased 2 cookies - sugar and chocolate chip and they were okay. The customer was nice and place was decorated nicely.

I was visiting my husband and he told me I had to check Charmed out while I had some time waiting for him to get off work. I ordered the Mexican breakfast tacos and they were absolutely incredible. Best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. Everyone in there was super nice and it was a great place to hang out for a while to do some work. Needless to say, we were back the next morning for round 2 of Mexican breakfast tacos! 100/10 recommend this place!!

Great little breakfast/lunch restaurant with tasty food and friendly service. Got the Baltimore Chicken sandwich with fries, a soda, and a chocolate chip cookie for $15. Chicken was well cooked and seasoned and fries were flavorful. Cookie was homemade and tasted great. Atmosphere was comfortable, spacious, and chock full of Baltimore spirit. Classic rock music heard from the kitchen, large windows filling the place with natural light, and a nice street view made my meal a sensory experience. Bathrooms clean, stocked, and decorated with nice fragrance. An affordable breakfast/lunch venue where management clearly has an ear to customer wants/needs.

This is the type of place we all want in our neighborhoods. It's an independent charming corner anchor and familiarly comfortable. The food is unique. Different options (none have been duds). The coffee is great. The people are too. Indoor seating outdoor seating.

Charmed is a charming little restaurant located right at the corner. They got a simple but interesting menu with reasonable prices. Parking is free for 2 hours. Which it will take to order, enjoy the food, and have some good conversations, but the last one is determined by you or your company. I enjoyed my Rueben and company. It is a BMR themed restaurant, which fits perfect in this neighborhood.

So fresh and yummyyyyyyyyy! The homemade ranch is bomb and they had the food ready when I walked in the door. Cute spot too

Chicken Biscuits | Iced Hot Chocolate | Ratio Chicken Biscuits - I had the chicken Biscuits, and they were delicious. Very filling and worthwhile. Highly recommend it. Iced Hot Chocolate - Normally, I'm not a fan of the "iced/frozen" versions of drinks traditionally served hot. However, this was AMAZING. Their blend of hot chocolate was extremely tasty and very surprising. Ratio - The best aspect of this restaurant is the price-to-portions ratio--one of the best in the city. Pro Tip: Not a lot of parking in the area. So add 10 minutes to your travel or uber over. Pro Tip: Ask the staff for the recommendations - they won't lead you wrong. Pro Tip: There is not a lot of outdoor space. So, if you want to sit outside, be sure to go earlier.

Fantastic food, friendly staff, quick service. If you know what used to be in this space it's even better. Let's just say they definitely know how to beat the eggs and whip the cream.

My go-to breakfast place in Mount Vernon. Food is great. Service is nice. About $13 per person.

Not sure what kind of ham it was in the omelette I had- but absolutely delicious. Also got some normal scrambled eggs and those were also way above average. Service was friendly and nice atmosphere. One note- it's only partially table service- ie you order at counter then they bring the food and drinks to you.

The service was very slow this past Sunday, but the food was good, and the bartender was really nice. I think I waited a little over 40 minutes for my brunch and I was by myself. The atmosphere and decor is really pretty, it's definitely a place I would go to again

I am sorry but everyone that rated this place any higher than a 2 has very low expectations on food quality/ pricing, service, and ambiance. The food: extremely mid. Everything from the actual taste to presentation was just lacking. Especially for the pricing. We got the potato waffle and Mexican burrito. The potato waffle was literally giving store bought tater tots cooked in a waffle iron. The eggs were over cooked. And the hash brown on the side was soggy. The Mexican burrito was actually okay, but it was quite small for its price. It was something I could make with minimal effort, while tasting better. The service: the cashier was there to do there job. Not bad not good. Just there. Once the food was given to our table the server only came to check in on once. The ambiance was okay. Everything was very crafty, which is cute. However, the execution of the decor was sub par (e.g. the painting on the wall was markedly half-assed, the signs on the wall were clearly handmade but with not attention to detail). The restroom was well kept though!

The BEST restaurant in the world! Caring staff who understand that learning your name helps! I had my first art exhibit there! Heidi was kind and patient and caring! That was the BEST place to have my first art exhibit!!! Tysvm for the wonderful space! :-D

Food was pretty good, nothing out of this world but I enjoyed my meal & the prices were reasonable. The service is great and everyone working there was kind. We were able to enjoy eating indoors and although it is pretty small inside it was still comfortable.

I went to this place bc it had 5 stars. Ordered potato waffles, French toast, and Ruben burger (its a sandwich). Everything was underwhelming and honestly tasted like everything you can make home. Service was okay and the food was clean tasting.. Very confident that it's not a 5 star place, maybe a 3.5 at best

Charmed was SO good! We were tired from a red eye flight and just really wanted good coffee and breakfast. What we got at Charmed far exceeded what we hoped for! The cold brew was absolutely delicious! So delicious I got one to go before I left! The food was was so good! Those hash browns are seasoned perfectly! And the staff was so welcoming and accommodating!

Small and quaint. The food was very good and the coffee was excellent. Service was pleasant and there seemed to be a down home feel to the establishment as many repeat customers seemed to be there. Only downfall is the signage on the building. Too small and easy to miss. But once you know where it is, you are good to go. Highly recommended for breakfast!

The first time coming about two years ago we were extremely happy with their potato waffles-fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside with a lovely salsa that was spicy and acidic. Unfortunately there's been a steep decline in service, food taste, and quality. Their only saving grace is that the salsa stayed the same.

I was in downtown Baltimore and it was breakfast time. I stopped in to Charmed. I'm so glad I found this place. Excellent food and great service. Heidi took my order. She was friendly and very helpful. I only wish I lived closer. When I left I bought a few of the peanut butter balls. They were amazing. I'll definitely return!!

Lunch (Uber Eats) I decided to eat lunch at charmed today and it was amazing. I normally get their breakfast and it's always a good portion size for an amazing for price. The chicken wrap was pretty good, instead of pesto sauce i asked for ranch instead. I added salt to the wrap for some taste. The chicken was tender but it wasn't season hence why I added salt, the overall wrap was delicious. The side salad was good. I'll ask for Italian dressing on the side. It's your typical side salad with tomatoes, red onions and mix greens. The pink lemonade was delicious I wish they had the strawberry lemonade on the Uber eats menu but they did not. I would definitely recommend this place for good food and reasonable prices.

Still LOVE this place! The creativity to make a different baked good every day is honestly unreal to me. They've also got the most phenomenal, buttery coffee cake I've ever had. It's clog-your-arteries delicious and if you catch it in the morning you can get it warm out of the oven. Not to mention, their coffee is flavorful and strong - a perfect compliment to their baked goods. I also love that people truly become regulars here and are often greeted by name. It's definitely a family run business in the best possible way, and I'm still absolutely loving it. If only they could be open all the time - but that would be dangerous for me :)

Potatoe waffle is so worth the wait. The people that work there are always sweet and kind. My go to brunch place for sure! Dalgona coffee whip was incredible!

While visiting Baltimore, we searched here for best rated breakfast spots. This was one of the top choices. You order your food at the counter/cashier and the food is brought to you. While it was still early, none of the employees seemed happy to be there and didn't interact with each other much, nor us. My partner and I ordered the potato waffle (which was highly recommended) and the Mexican breakfast burrito. Both were pretty underwhelming. The potato waffle was pretty much store bought tator tots smashed into a waffle maker? And an over cooked egg on top. And the burrito was small and underwhelming as well. It all lacked seasonings it felt. Very bland. For the price of what we paid (about 47$ for both meals and a coffee) - it felt very much like food we could have made at home. Im so sorry; maybe it was an off or bad day, we all have them. I hope your experience was a better one!

I wanted to love this place. Its so Baltimore! Unfortunately, the food (looks good) but lacked basic seasoning. Our order must have gotten lost because it took almost 40 minutes. When we got it the cheese in the omelet and on the bowl was not even melted. The sausage in the omelet and the gravy tasted old and had no flavor. Maybe we went on a bad day but these breakfast items are easily executed at home but we spent $40 . Its hard to give it another chance when there are so many great breakfast spots in town.

What a great find. Small neighborhood spot, completely unpretentious. Great menu of breakfast options all of which were prepared quickly and deliciously. We tried 3 different items (omelette/waffle special/chicken and honey on biscuits). Everything was great! There were 2 servers and both were terrific. We left happy and full

Love that this place has opened and wish them great success as wanted an affordable low key place to get good breakfast on weekends. Place I used to go to closed. They are counter order but do bring you the food on real plates. No alcohol is served and not sure how they would respond to bringing your own. Basic seating that is well spaced out. This is not a coffee shop where can hang out and do work as they proudly do not have WiFi. My French toast casserole was good and nice they stated when ordered this was not sliced French toast but cut up pieces. My bacon was okay but like it a bit more crispy. The hash brown were cold. They also oddly did not have orange juice or apple juice though maybe was not on drink menu. The hot chocolate was okay. I will Be back to check out place as good value for the menu.

Happened to stumble upon this place on a trip to Baltimore. We loved it, the food was great!

Stopped by for brunch on a whim. Ordered inside and sat at an outside table with no wait. The coffee menu was decent with cold brew and dalgona whipped coffee. Unfortunately, as one who can't tolerate lactose, the milk alternative menu was limited to almond (yuck, watery) so I didn't order any coffee. My companion got an iced coffee and was pleased to find coffee ice cubes to prevent watering down (!!) The food menu was a bit limited. I got the breakfast sandwich on wheat which was small, tasted OK, with a boring side fruit salad. Probably wouldn't get again. My companion for the Mexican breakfast with tacos which was delicious, nice presentation and good mix of flavors- this I would order in the future. Overall I would try again. I'm really impressed by the ice cubes. I highly recommend expanding the milk selection to include oat or soy.

In my opinion Charmed is a solid breakfast place. It's not out of this world tasty but the food is good, portions are large, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly. It definitely lives up to its mission statement. I've had the breakfast platter, Bmore omelette, egg sandwich, the breakfast bowl, and the chocolate chip pancakes, and everything is consistently good, which speaks for itself!

Not quite sure where to even start with my review because everything was just so top notch. From the service, to the food options. You won't be disappointed with making a stop here if you're in Baltimore.

Took me a minute to visit this place. I finally went in this morning and it was really good. I had the cinnamon bun crepe w/ a side of hash browns and orange juice. The food was delicious. I would say that if you don't like sweets then the cinnamon bun crepe may not be for you. On another note the staff was friendly and their service was top notch. The place is decorative and clean. Next time you're in the area definitely check it out.

So excited that Mt Vernon has another new amazing restaurant! I was drawn to check this place out for the convenience (away from busy Charles St), the low prices, and the cute decor. I'm happy to say that I was far from disappointed! This is an order at the counter and sit down type of place with plenty of seating for a busy lunch rush. I loved the simply but cute decor with Christmas lights, a city skyline mural, and funny (yet true) quotes. I was expecting the lunch portions to be small because of the low prices, but it was actually SO much food that we could barely finish it. The BLT was great (definitely add avocado & chipotle mayo). The avocado dressing on the side salad was to die for. The Baltimore Chicken sandwich was also surprisingly amazing - the homemade potato bun definitely made it. The wait staff was also very accommodating. They never let our water glasses run dry and were very attentive. The service was also super fast which we appreciated. Overall I'm excited to come back here to try their breakfast. They're also on GrubHub which is a plus!

So GOOD .. a side of sautéed spinach I added obey One of the many spices that's on your table also "Italian Sausage gravy ....with a Maryland omelette! Big portions excellent price! Friendly staff, fast service, and great food! The dalgona coffee is strong and yummy, and the omelets are fluffier than most brunch spots. Normally the make your own omelet comes with two toppings and a meat, but since I don't eat meat they were very accommodating and substituted another topping instead! Masks are required for entry, and there is limited indoor and outdoor seating. However, it's located near parks so finding somewhere to sit and eat isn't a problem!

Had a great lunch here today! The chicken wrap and side salad was delicious, ready very quickly, and a great value. The staff checked on me multiple Times to see if I needed anything during my meal. I will definitely be back!

I just ate the best breakfast delivered food I've had in a long time. This is not my first time trying Charmed, but the other times it was brought for me so I never questioned where the food came from. This time I ordered for myself and was amazed. The presentation was awesome. The containers were cute and small not too big and bulky. They weren't too thin either, no food leaked out or spilled. Everything was placed in separate containers. The serving size was plentiful. Enough to feed two people. Everything I ate was fresh, seasoned well, and hot upon arrival. Even when reheated it tasted as if it was right off the stove. The sausage gravy tased as if there were Italian sausage in it. there were big chunks of sausage in every bite. The burrito was to die for. Every ingredient could be tasted and it wasn't dry or flavorless, so I had no need for the sour cream or salsa. And it was so fulfilling I could only finish half. The hashbrowns were excellent! I added extra onions and peppers for a dollar more which gave it even more flavor. I wasn't impressed with the menu and was initially biased because I wanted grits, but boy was I wrong. Forget those grits, the menu was limited but everything I tasted was great including the MD omelet and breakfast platter that I had previous times.

I love this place! The owners are always very friendly and welcoming and the food is great. I order the omelettes and they come perfectly done. Service is also very quick. It has become one of my favorite spots for breakfast

What a hidden gem! I walked by a number of times because there isn't that much signage. A friend recommended it, however, so I give it a try. What a pleasant surprise! Some great classic diner dishes as well as some very creative and original offerings. The service is friendly and efficient and the place just has an overall positive vibe. It is my new go to place in the neighborhood. My favorite item is the potato waffle, but everything I've had is delicious.

I've gone here for breakfast and I really love the feel and ambiance of this place. The people who work here are incredibly sweet and personable. I think that it makes such a great dining experience here. I feel that some of the food though is hit or miss. I've had a couple dishes that were dry but I've also had some really fantastic and delicious meals as well (I absolutely loved their Nutella crepes). I think that the small, diner feel that I get from them and the prices really makes me want to keep coming back even though I haven't always had perfect meals here.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Charmed is probably one of my favorite local places. I've been ordering (and eating in when it was open) from here since it opened. It's such a simple place with great quality food, and SUCH friendly service. I'm always greeted with a warm smile and I'm completely taken care of all the time. I absolutely love this place. My best friend is a vegan so I'd love to see vegan options, but the times we've been there together, Danae helped us get creative to form a meal she could eat :)

This is a gem in the city of Baltimore. The food was fresh and tasted great. Every baked good in place is made from scratch and is literally homemade. We met the owner Danae and her Mother who"s recipes are used at the restaurant. Everyone was so nice and attentive and genuine. My Wife had the breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, sausages, home fries and toast. The sausage patties were really good and the homemade wheat bread was the best we ever had. I ordered the Bourbon Burger. Whew blow your head right off. The homemade Bourbon sauce was perfect, the burger was made with fresh ground beef and the flavor was perfect. The fries were addictive. I could have a full plate of them alone. This is an intimate space but very well lit especially with the natural light. Feels like an old time Neighborhood spot even though they recently opened. Danae came over to our table to ask us how was everything and we shared with her our thoughts. Told her we would definitely come back and share with our colleagues. We also asked about catering and she followed up with an email to us regarding their catering menu. Overall the experience, the food, the location, and the name, everything is great about Charmed. Keep up the great service and taste and this place will be around a long, long, long, time.

Hands down my new favorite place to grab a bite to eat in mount Vernon! As a neighborhood resident I've been missing not having a super affordable breakfast spot. The ladies here are so so accommodating and the food is phenomenal! Their French toast is to die for. I feel so lucky to only live a block away. Definitely will be back.

This is a fantastic place for both breakfast and lunch. There are not a lot of places in Mt. Vernon that offer quality food and a reasonable price point. The owner and staff are always friendly and go out of their way to give you an awesome experience - every time. P.S. Their baked goods are prepared fresh daily (these ladies must never sleep!) and are pretty phenomenal.

Charmed is a welcome addition to Mount Vernon. This place really gets it right! We have ordered multiple times for breakfast and brunch, and today we decided to give the lunch a try. Breakfast: The potato waffle, omelets, and biscuits + gravy are all excellent. The portions are HUGE and the prices can't be beat. I don't know where they get their sausage, but it is amazing. You can't go wrong getting your breakfast from Charmed. Brunch: Holy casserole, Batman! These things were so good...decadent even. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The man behind the grill is a genius at his craft. Jedi like cooking ability, if Jedi were chefs and not warrior-monks. Lunch: Today we tried the chicken sandwich and the rueben. Dear sweet lord. The sandwiches are well crafted, the ingredients are quality, and the french fries crisp and well spiced. My wife, who has the rueben, exclaimed, "My mouth has been blessed." It is seriously that good. We've only ever called in our orders and they are always ready within 10-15 minutes for pickup. That is awesome. The staff are all customer focused, and they remember your name after a few visits. This place needs to stay! Please please please go check them out so we don't lose it!

Second visit- both times were spot on. Had the bmore omelette and french toast (special version they had going on). Great prices, extremely friendly staff, and can compete with the best (saying this and in a town with Ms. Shirley's). New go-to breakfast place!
