The First Chase Sapphire Lounge Has Dim Sum, Specialty Cocktails, and a Separate Relaxation Area

"Chase's first-ever airport lounge, the Chase Sapphire Lounge Hong Kong, offers a 12,000-square-foot space with amenities such as buffet-style dining, signature cocktails, separate spaces to work, relax, and eat. It features a variety of seating options including dining nooks, lounging areas, and semi-private workstations, but lacks shower facilities."

Visited May 2025 (morning). I give this a 4.5* (if you were to compare this one with the neighboring Amxx Cenxxx Lounge, they are quite similar but Chase will have a slightly higher score with the food quality). Space - is quite ok, should be able to find some private corners if not crowded. Service was good. Some server knowledge needed to be polished (gelatine is not vegetarian! I overheard that one of the guests asked if the dessert was vegetarian). Food quality was good - order -to-make meny available through app and the Thai curry I tried was hot & flavorable. Chinese soups were provided. No shower facilities.

Loved this lounge far more than the Amex lounge. Food was good and you can order to your seat. Extensive bar options and the bartender was awesome! Tons of seating also, lots of different seats and tables to choose from. Highly recommend this lounge.

Google
The lounge is near gate 40 & easy to miss. The reception staff was warm and welcoming. Quick tap of the card and I was able to get in. First tip would be to actually walk around the lounge and explore the place before you finalize on a place to be seated. There are some secluded areas to be seated without much rush. The food spread is amazing, but I felt Cantonese food options were less. The staff were really helpful and you get great selection of cocktails. They have displays showing flight status and be sure that you can keep eye on it as some gates such as gate 1 or 2 etc is really really far away from the lounge. There is an option to order some very selected dishes through your phone after scanning a QR code. Additional tip for Indian travelers with Rupay platinum debit/credit cards with diners club logo on the rear of your card. The card gets accepted at this lounge. Overall this lounge is a much better choice than the Plaza Premium Lounge if your card has an access here.

Spacious lounge near gate 40. Plenty of various seating areas- dining tables, lounge chairs, bar and high chairs… some with views of the beautiful mountains and tarmac. Few private booths(first time seeing this) for confidential conversations. Plenty of food options with a separate menu behind the buffet counter-altho you have to ask for it. Separate bar area thats dark and cozy. Overall a beautiful lounge with plenty of options

Google
So happy that chase has a lounge here which was a welcome change on our lay over after a 16 hour flight. Lots of seating. Adequate food options. Amazing views of the tarmac and runway. Can’t really ask for more unless you’re extra bougie. Easily one of the better lounges we’ve ever been to with priority pass.

Another very enjoyable lounge at HKG. Lots of space and quite comfortable. Quiet enough. Decent treats. We had a few hours to waste before our next flight. We visited the AMEX Lounge for an hour and then decided to visit the Chase Sapphire. This is the first time experiencing the Chase lounge, and we like it very much.

Google
The Chase Sapphire Lounge is one of the better lounges in the airport. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and there's a nice bar with decent cocktails. I especially enjoyed the fish soup offered during lunch via table service—flavorful and satisfying. There’s plenty of seating throughout, though the A/C ventilation could be improved in some areas. The seats near the bar tend to be cooler and more comfortable. It appears the lounge is still undergoing renovations, so some sections may not be fully complete yet. It's a bit easy to miss—look for the escalators near Gate 40 and head upstairs. Overall, a great spot to unwind before your flight, and a step above many other airport lounges.

Google
Nice lounge at HK airport, featuring one of the better bars (with extensive cocktails and drinks menu). There is QR code to order hot food and desserts on top of the food stations.

Yelp
This is the first time I have used this lounge. It is clean and spacious, and the food choices are great. I had the fish ball noodles and five-spice cube noodles, both of which tasted good. The lounge also offers rice rolls and fish shiu mai. The staff offers excellent service. However, finding an empty table during peak hours may be challenging.

Yelp
There are several Plaza Premium lounges in HKG. The one is located on 7th floor above gate 60. Across from the Centurion lounge. It's small. Can be very crowded. Hard to find seatings. Food selection was minimal but good enough for my kids. They had churn fun (other ones did too!), and shu mai, fried noodles. Coffee machine but no creamer (had to use machine for hot milk). Not very good looking salad. The sweets were not very tempting either. Overall, a decent lounge. Does the job. No complain.

Yelp
Sadly this lounge wasn't up to par , super crowded , food is not that tasty. Very little selection, only beer wine and water , jsut go to chase lounge they got full bar, lots of food and made to order variety! It was way more than plaza. Kind of disappointed since you need to pay $360 hkf to get in . I would highly recommend going to the chase sapphire lounge ! You get way more . The place is over crowded at plaza premium lounge

Yelp
Nice lounge. Hot food, snacks, drinks are provided. Bathroom is clean. It also has shower room. Nice staff. I think there's another section with more seats but I didn't check it out.

Yelp
Completely unhelpful staff, ignoring customer questions and basic requests. Basic aesthetic

Yelp
Free lounge access all thanks to Priority Pass (practically useless within US but excellent for international travels)! Comparatively speaking, the quality of the lounge falls far short from those of Cathay's throughout the first terminal. But remember, it's free! If you're a fan of the classic Hong Kong-style fish ball noodle soup, then you are in luck (unfortunately, this being one of my least favorite food items of all times). Aside from the noodle soup, there is also the mini line up of hot buffet (starch, one or two meat dishes, shumai, and veggies), salad bar, and pastries. The only thing that bothered me with this particular lounge was the wait time to get in. Priority Pass holders aside, there are other participating credit card companies that offer access to the lounge to premium card holders. My two hours to kill was reduced to an hour thanks to the lengthy queue....

Yelp
I was here with priority pass and easily brought in a guest. There's another plaza premium lounge within the same terminal available to PP. It's got multiple areas of different seating though not too many of the comfy chairs that everyone seems to go after that always have a table and outlet nearby. Any alcohol except beer costs. A glass of champagne is 100hkd. There are no soda cans, only fountain soda, which is on the right when you enter. The design is beautiful but I didn't like the layout. I'd like to try the other next time.

Yelp
Nice lounge to come for free food. The lounge offers great variety of food and served fresh. It also offers variety of imported beer and alcohol. This lounge also offers shower services. The shower room are actually nice for summer and humid times. It really helps out to relax and feel much better to travel to the next destination I really like this lounge!

Yelp
If you have a few hours, the Plaza Premium Lounge is a great place to spend sometime before a long flight. It offers hot meal, drinks, and wifi. It also has a shower stall. The food we for the most part was OK, nothing to rave about. There was a variety of drinks and even offer draft beer. The service was attentive. Constantly clearing plates away. There was a good amount of traffic. The place was always filled with people. Value, I didn't pay. It was a benefit that came with my credit card. So I can't really complain. Not sure the cost, maybe $25? Personally, I wouldn't pay unless the company was paying. I'm glad the Plaza Premium Lounge offers this type of service at the airport. Wifi and draft beer is a win win. If you don't have to pay, it's even better.

Yelp
Came by Plaza Premium lounge the other day while lounge hopping at HKG. As more premium credit cards now feature lounge access, these "pay per use" lounges are starting to get crowded. The hot buffet consisted of a few quality entrees along with an option for fish ball noodles which were quite tasty! A snack section along with a coffee and drink selection rounded out the dining section of the lounge. There were plenty of seating areas in a relatively dark environment. Showers are available for use too!
google avatar

Yelp
Semi open air lounge with showers. Because its open air, the temps in this lounge feels a little warmer than the other 2. The food selection here is the widest and has the biggest space among all 3 plaza premium lounges in the Hong Kong airport. All 3 lounges serve a set of common foods, but this lounge has mini donuts and dried scallop soup (my fave), which the other lounges do not. There is an area for eating, a comfy, lounging area where people work and a bar area with plenty of seating.

Yelp
There are two lounges at HKG available to Priority Pass members: Plaza Premium Lounge West Hall and East Hall. Check your gate before choosing which lounge to visit; they essentially offer the same amenities. This lounge - located farthest away from security and immigration - is on the second floor adjacent to the Emirates and Thai Airways lounges. The Good: + Open 24 hours. +Impressive array of food options, including a noodle bar that serves local specialities. + Various types of seating (plush chairs, bar stools, dining tables, cubicles) to meet your needs. + Computers available for use if you don't have your laptop, tablet, or cellphone. + Clean bathrooms. The Bad: - Quantity doesn't mean quality when it comes to food. I don't expect lounge food to be amazing, but the stir fried noodles and shrimp and pork shumai were almost inedible. - It took staff awhile to clean up other guests' used dishes and silverware. - Maintenance could be improved. The lounge definitely isn't as shiny and new as it appears in the promotional material on the Priority Pass website. - AC varied according to where you were in the lounge. Verdict: This isn't a bad place to wait for your flight, but there are definitely nicer lounges out there! P.S. Very nice views of the tarmac and mountains from the "hidden" seating area past the food area / computers.

Yelp
Comparing to the photos of food in other reviews, the food I had was definitely a step or two backward. There was this Chinese speaking lady talked loudly on the phone like people in her village do. Anywho, the place is a bit cramped and the carpet can use a refresher. I will probably check out priority pass next time.

Yelp
Super nice lounge, although there seems to be a line to get in due to the lounge having multiple partners. There were many food choices and we were able to catch breakfast and lunch. Non alcoholic drinks selection was nice but if you're looking for beer, they only had canned and one kind of draft. Any hard liquor was available for purchase behind the napping area. The bathroom only had two stalls and I believe I only saw 1 or 2 shower rooms.

Yelp
I had exactly two hours to kill here since my ride to the airport was pretty uneventful and I had a 15.5 hour flight back home. I got here in the late morning and this place was pretty packed. Most people in line were Priority Pass holders and they were fast tracking any airline invitation holders first. By the time I got to the front, their machines had gone down and they had to bust out a manual carbon copy machine to process my visit. No big deal, I signed and was on my way. There's a lot of seating but the place was pretty busy in the main dining area by the kitchen. The highlights were of course the fish ball soup which comes with a generous portion of noodles. You can also throw in a bunch of toppings: garlic, onion, hot chilis, and shallots. In the hot food steam tables they had one selection of dim sum, chow mein, and rice. There is plain congee available as well. If you want something healthier there is a salad station "green market" right next to the "noodle don" stand. If that isn't to your liking you can also get some fried samoas or fried spring rolls. They ran out of plates at one point due to the amount of people in the lounge. There was a short wait for them to replenish them. If you're looking for a quiet place, walk further back by the bar area and you'll find more comfortable seating as well as the ability to people watch in the middlefield concourse. You'll find soft drinks, juice, and coffee in this section so you don't have to walk to far back towards the kitchen. Alcoholic drinks are available for a fee at the bar. I'm not sure about the sandwiches though. There were no prices on them and I didn't bother to ask. I would say 3.5 stars is about accurate. This is definitely better than sitting around in the airport and since I have Priority Pass, getting here early makes travel less stressful as I'm in full control of making it to the gate on-time. I was boarding at gate 41 which is steps away.

Yelp
Gotta try them both in Hong Kong. One is near gate 1 the other is near Gate 40. Good variety of food but not too many meats. Snacks are ok too. It is rather crowed too and sometimes difficult to find a seat.

Yelp
[HKG] We had a 7 hour or so layover in HK. Prior to my trip in April 2018, a few people on IG recommended that I don't leave the airport as there wasn't enough time to go downtown and back. I took their advice and J and I decided to stay in the lounge. The lounge at HKG was nice and spacious with private showers. Given the humidity in HK, the showers station was great and came with full amenities (comb, towel, shampoo, body wash, hair dryer, and beauty kit). If you're not a member or don't want to pay for the lounge, you can just pay for shower usage (I think it's $20 per person). Food was pretty decent with different options and drinks (pop and beer) were self-served. We weren't planning on staying too long, but our flight to Kaohsiung was delayed from its initial 4:15 pm flight time to 8:05 pm. Good thing - the staff didn't kick us out despite us staying longer than 4 hrs, which was nice cause the waiting gate areas were super overcrowded.

Yelp
Pretty good lounge compared to the Plaza Premium Lounge in the Toronto airport. Had a good selection of made to order foods- steamed rice rolls, fish ball noodles and a soup rice dish (didn't try this). Food was good and a good selection of desserts as well. The lineup is a bit long but I always tend to walk around the airport to shop then dedicate time to go to the lounge before my flight so while yes, there's a steady wait to get in the lounge I thought it was okay. Service was impeccable, the moment I was done with my plate the cleaning staff was there to help clear my table.

Yelp
I am reviewing for the Plaza Premium on Airside West Hall level 7 near the Gate 40 of Terminal 1 departure. This is my 2nd favorite Plaza lounge in terminal 1 because there are alot less people here then the lounge in terminal 1 near gate 1. The option is very similar to the one in gate 1 except this location don't have the HK milk tea which they make for you at the one near gate 1. There is a noodle bar, salad area and some chinese styles dim sum, rice dishes. The one think they had here is a reverse beer tap in the public area. I guess if you are staying at the lounge for more then few hours or near gate 40 this might be a better location as less people and more choices for seats. Overall the food was same quality as the one in terminal 1. I gotten in the Cathay Business class lounge before and I would still prefer the Premium lounge over it. I got in as Priority pass but would not paid the regular price to get it unless you are planning for a long laid over. Outlets at some of the dinning booth make it great if you can get one of those seats P.S. What I found very good at both plaza lounge was the desserts. I really enjoyed that. Please click helpful and check out my photos for the reverse beer tap.

Yelp
Relaxing and great vibe. Plenty of places to sit and recharge between flights and the food is really good. They have something for everyone and plenty of new things to try. Free water, beer, soda and you name it. Lots of places to plug your phone in and the WiFi is so much better that the free airport one. I like trying all the exotic foods and they have American food as well. The showers are clean and they have amenities if needed. I am so spoiled now after staying her and will for sure be back on my next trip.

Yelp
Plaza Premium Lounge was located next to Emirates, Thai Airways, and other airline lounges. Granted, these other lounges were probably better as I had visited them previously at other airports. This time, I couldn't get into them, lol, but I was able to get into Plaza Premium Lounge with my Priority Pass card. Seating: This lounge could get a little crowded. When I walked in I saw several people occupied the seating area on the left to the point that the area was full. When I made my way to the food area, I saw that most tables were occupied. However, there were ample seatings in the section right past the food area. That section had coffee and drinks machine plus a few snacks. Luckily, I was able to grab a table in the food area to get something to eat first. Later, I made my way to the less crowded area that I had mentioned earlier. Food: There are varieties of food here. When I got there I see noodles, samosa, shiu mai dumpling, and 5-6 other items. I'd say the food selection is the strong point of this lounge. The dishes that I tried tasted ok to me. It could be that my tastebud had somewhat gone at the time due to the fact that I had been eating a good amount of airline food. Anything that I ate at the sea level altitude seemed to taste better. Restroom: Yes, this is important when you traveled. I sure prefer a facility that has less people frequent. I think Plaza Premium lounge did a good job here on the cleanliness. The men's room was clean. I also ran into an employee routinely cleaning the restroom as well. All and all, I spent 1.5 - 2 hours at this lounge. I had some food, got some rest, charged my phone, used the facility, etc. OK the food was ok and may be above average for a Priority Pass lounge, but there were so many items to choose. In the end, this lounge served my purpose. My final rating is a solid 4-star.

Yelp
As my title says it, believe it! Our journey makes Dorothy from wizard of Oz smirk in the corner and says I definitely made my bed. Lol! And this lounge just rewarded us for our efforts. Trust me, ..i'll probably be blogging about it or writing a little book about it, ...but stay tuned. Anyhow, fast forward at 2am....when everything seemed almost bleak, we were able to go past through HK immigration and found our way to this lounge. We already made our reservation way ahead of time when we were still in China. At that time, we were contemplating either booking a hotel or a lounge. We were expecting to be back in HK overnight and our flight wasn't going to be until 1040am the ff day. All the decent hotels were overpriced.. so we started looking at the airport lounges. We found Plaza Premier First Lounge. With all the amenities they offered, it just totally made sense. For 5hrs.. to pay $126/person... total $252/ 2 pax.. that's like 1 bedroom in a decent HK hotel... but this price gets you the ff: * shower w/ all the bath amenities * unlimited food (main entrees, desserts, snacks & drinks) * 10minute massage * $100HK gift certificate for shopping * souvenir bottle canister * lounge access to sleep * free wi-fi * you're already at the airport.. soooo no more extra pay for cab I mean, if that's not enough..then I don't know what is. Plus, if you don't think that's not worth it, then I don't know what you're drinking.....but this is plain common sense. So, we took the deal. And boy! We don't regret it one bit. The place is awesome! Clean, fresh, ..the staffs amazing! From the time we checked in at 2am.. ..the guy who's name starts with H..can't remember, he was so kind.. he offered to put away some of our luggages. Showed us the shower.. briefed us etc. I felt so refreshed after showering. I grabbed a dessert & the lady who helped me saw that I was taking photos was embarrassed and asked if she should grab me a better slice of the dessert I wanted. So sweet of her. The capuccino coffee they had which I made was LaVazza, it was extremely delicious.. i had it with my dessert. After that, we rested. When we woke up, we grabbed a quick bite. The hosts at the restaurant area were so gracious. Always smiling and courteous. I got the mushroom risotto which was really good, but the adorable salads in mason jars were impeccable! The massage, even if it was a quick 10minute push..he was precise to the points and relieved my back shoulder pains. I"m just saying.. as a traveler.. you'd regret it if you have a long flight, a long lay over and not take this option over a hotel. And by far amongst the lounges I've tried.. -this one beats everyone so far! Great job Plaza Premier First Lounge! Keep up the awesome work! Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Much nicer than most lounges in US. Less seats and chairs smaller but still comfortable. The check in was easy. You can sign up for shower. They provide towels and toothbrush etc. Hair dryer is present. They had plenty of cold beverages stocked. Liked the soy milk and teas. Also had coffee maker. Bar had decent options. The buffet was nice. Breakfast they had eggs, croissants, vermicelli, meatballs, mushrooms and salad bar. Also had cereal and bread section. Overall had a nice time here. Free WiFi was fast and plenty areas to charge stuff.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of my favorite lounges mainly for the selection of food. You would think you're at a buffet palace. It does get crowded however seating was fairly easy to spot, given the time frame we arrived. The noodle bar was very good and usually draws a big line so I would visit that first. I actually went back for seconds because it was super tasty and my husband was eating most of it. They do have showers for a fee, which makes sense since Hong Kong is a major layover for long flights to and from Asia. They do also have a business center if you need more silence or need to print anything out. Overall, good customer service there - the workers were very diligent in cleaning up the tables for turnover.

Yelp
The Plaza Premium Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport is a 24-hour lounge. If you have an overnight connection and are too lazy or too cheap to find a hotel for a few hours, you can actually camp out here and take a nap somewhere in the back as it is very quiet and there are many huge comfortable chairs. Another good thing is that they have decent food and beer. Unfortunately, no wine or Spirits are available unless you pay a premium fee. If you need to take a shower, there is another Lounge right next door that is part of the plaza premium Lounge with great shower facilities. Although I wanted to sleep in my connecting flight, I really like great expresso and there is a fresh ground made to order shot espresso machine right next to a beer machine. This is a pay lounge so you may simply pay an entry fee or if you have a premium credit card membership that offers you priority pass then you may enter and bring guest for free. Definitely recommend it if you have a half hour or more to kill before your flight.

Yelp
Excellent lounge. This is one of the better ones I've been to. It is also a constant reminder of how inferior U.S. lounges are when compared to other countries. This lounge accepts Priority Pass, Diners, and a few other credit cards. There are two lounges (G1, G40) with the first one being a bit crazier since it is the closest to security. Overview - Food (5/5). Good and gets the job done. I ran out of HKD so I couldn't get any food up top before my flight to Shanghai. Luckily, I was able to score some breakfast, grab some fruits, and water bottles here. The food options are fairly fresh and made-to-order with a decent selection of noodle soups, Chinese morning tea items, and chips and beer if you prefer. I am not too picky, merely looking for some healthy calories before the flight - Amenities (4/5). Pretty good. There were a dozen or so individual office desks for you to use. The lounge feels a little crowded but I thought that was fine and made it vibrant and fun. People were sitting in the dark enjoying a cold one or making laps around the area to see what else to eat. Believe there are also showers and beds available but I didn't check. The best part of the lounge is its 24/7 availability, which will come in handy if you do get stuck at the airport Overall, I am impressed with this lounge at HKG and recommend it if you have a bit of time to relax, get hydrated, and mentally prepare for your next flight

Mike P.

Yelp
There's nothing relaxing about this lounge. It has a tiny footprint and it's always crowded. The SQ Kris Lounge and the United Lounge are still closed therefore all Star Alliance pax are sent here. The ambience is akin to a school canteen with white walls and harsh lighting. There is a tiny bar and alcoholic drinks are served by the bartender who also doubles as a server/busboy. The buffet food looks unappetizing though I did not try. Having had gone to the Chase Lounge prior, this Premium lounge is a big letdown.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to visit this lounge twice, once on my way to Bali and once on my way back. Most experiences were OK. 3.5 Stars. The Priority Pass lounges in anywhere but the USA seem to be AMAZING. the USA lounges just suck in general. If I were to compare any of the US lounges to Plaza Premium this lounge would be more than 5 stars. Food: They have a ramen bar, dim sum, and the food variety varies based on time of day (morning there is congee, eggs, and bacon, lunch/dinner there is Chinese chicken and mushroom and pizza). The dim sum and food aren't restaurant quality, but for a lounge it was nice. The dimsum seemed to be frozen dimsum not the ones you would get at a tea parlor in HK. But at least its not inedible. There is also snacks, cookies, chips next to the bar. Fountain drinks are available, as well as soy milk, water and beer. Shower: Amazing shower facilities. You must reserve at front desk. I was able to use the shower facilities on a 26 hour flight from Bali to NYC with a 3 hour layover here in Hong Kong. Unfortunately they do limit your time to 15-20 minutes in the shower. You could get away with a 25 minute shower, but then the cleaning lady starts knocking on the door to see whether you are still alive in there. Chairs/Seats/General area: This was probably the worst part of the lounge. Tons of people here at all times of the day, so can't really spread out much. This was probably the worst part of lounge.

Yelp
Great lounge. It just opened today (June 8th, 2017) One of the best I've been to. They've got a great selection of dim sum goodies, free beverages and more! All you'd expect from the other Plaza Premium Lounges you can find here minus the super long lines and crowding. Staff here seem a lot friendlier than most so that's a great plus.
google avatar

Jennifer K.

Yelp
There are 2 Plaza Premium Lounges at HKG - The West and the East Hall. The East Hall, which most people visit due to the convenience location near Gate 1 is just like a hell hole. The lighting in here is dim and dark as there is no windows at all. Good if you want to have a nap. But this place is so noisy and busy, I doubt if you can have any peace or quiet at all during your stay. The food area was such a mess... I know people want some food before going on the plane but this place is just like a war zone! I would avoid this location unless my gate is close by.. Plaza Premium Lounge really needs to do some renovation or face lift for this lounge ASAP!
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite Priority Pass lounges so far. There are showers available, and the seating is quite comfortable. The food selection is extensive, in case you didn't have time to grab food before your flight, you won't be subjected to pay for crappy airport food. I would look forward to stops here before any flight.

Yelp
The one time I went to this lounge it was an overcrowded nightmare. The staff mostly seemed nice enough and the facility was fine but it was packed to the bursting point. It was a Friday evening, but we were taking a 10:45 PM flight so I didn't expect it to be this full at that relatively late hour. In theory this lounge has showers but I was told there was a three hour wait in order to use them. The behavior of a lot of the passengers here was also awful and inconsiderate. Lots of people having conversation on speaker on their cell phones. I don't blame the people who work here but I do hold the management of this lounge responsible for selling access to so many people while failing to provide the facilities to accommodate them all.

Yelp
14 hours layover in HKG. Arrived 7pm and flight does not leave until 9am next day. I debated if I should just get a hotel and do public transport, but since it's a pretty early flight, I didn't want to chance it. I wanted to hold up as long as possible, so I reserved my time for 12:30 am which also happened to be their next opening for the lounge with private sleep area by Gate 60. It is 600HKD for 3 hours and also includes 1 additional hour for the regular lounge with food and drinks. I paid an additional 100HKD for 1 additional hour. At today's exchange rate, that is equivalent to close to $100 USD. I showed up exactly 12:27am and was shown straight to my room. I wished I showed up 20 minutes earlier as they didn't seem so strict on time. - Sleep area was basic room with bathroom. Bed not so comfortable. - Shower was warm, clean. - Towel, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, comb, qtips all provided. Cons: - Food in the lounge by Gate 40 was pretty wide selection, but all of them except the croissants tasted meh. Overall, for 4 hours plus 1 hour lounge area use, $100USD is a bit much. A reasonable amount would be $60. However, because I didn't want to deal with any outside unforseen circumstances, I stayed in. In hindsight, I wish I did the 270Hkd which includes 1 hour lounge/shower use, and instead sleep on the many chairs by the gates. Some chairs have no armrests for 3 people so you can easily lay down and catch your zzz's there. On another note, I'm going to start looking for a credit card that has lounge access as a perk.

Yelp
Plaza premium lounge takes my Priority Pass which I receive from my AMEX Platinum card. This lounge has a nice little food court of its own, beverages, alcohol and a big screen TV to watch. There are a few other areas within that are a little quieter where you can relax and take a little nap or to decompress before your flight. This isn't the nicest airport lounge I've been to but it beats sitting in the general boarding area or some food court where you'll spend an arm and a leg!

Yelp
I love that you can have your noodles freshly cooked to order here. There's also a congee station and a huge selection of dim sum and pastries. Tons of variety of yummy drinks in the fridge and very spacious. They also offer beds to sleep on and massages! Very spacious and everyone is sweet. -1 star because they don't offer wine. There's beer in the fridge though!

Yelp
This is a better lounge out of the other Priority Pass lounges that I have been. It (near Gate 60 in Terminal 1) is also the best out of the three Plaza Premium Lounges at the Hong Kong International Airport. It has wider food selection and a nice view of the planes. The other two lounges do not having any view or natural light. FOOD and DRINK: They have a wide range of selections from the Hong Kong (HK) traditional food to western snacks, including HK style fish cake noodle soup, Cheung fan with sweet and peanut sauce, siu mai, scrambled eggs, sandwiches, porridge, salad bar, soup, cereals, gummy candies, cookies, soda water, quite a few choices of beers, HK sylte vita soy drinks. COFFEE: theirs espresso machine is quite decent as well! I would definitely set for their coffee rather than paying for one outside the lounge. Rating Summary: Food: 7 out of 10 (Note that it's a lounge, not restaurant) Coffee: 7 out of 10 (Again, it's a lounge, so it's not made from a barista using the best blended beans with the perfect water temperature.) Service: 6 out of 10 Ambiance & Comfort: 8 out of 10

Yelp
Out of all airport lounges I have been to, Plaza Premium Lounge at HKG Gate 40 was not the most comfortable one. But you can get a complete meal of hot food there. It was also clean and updated. Plus it had showers, water was hot enough Back to the food, they offered super local Hong Kong food like fishball noodles, XO sauce, stir-fried noodles, etc. Drinks were decent, they had the Hong Kong style soymilk and lemon tea besides the regular coffee and tea. As far as complimentary booze, they only offered beers. They also offered massages for an extra cost.

Yelp
This is a lounge open to the general public for a fee, or to those holding certain credit cards (i.e. Platinum Amex gets you in here for free). The big highlight for the Plaza Premium Lounge for me is the HK style fishball soup and also if you're on an early morning arriving flight before 0530 you can also use this to hole up in (the plaza premium lounges are 24 hours!) before the CX lounges open at 0530. Although you'd have to have an onward flight to be able to do this. As another reviewer said, the the lounge at the other end of the terminal (near Gate 40) is much more quieter than the "zoo" that is the one near Gate 1 While it's not like the Airline lounges, it sure beats sitting at the gate as long as you're getting in with your credit card. Not sure I'd pay HKD$480 for 2 hours though. You can probably do something really nice in town for that kind of money.

Yelp
We got to enjoyed the HK Plaza Premium Lounge twice recently on our trip. Once at the one by Gate 40 on our way to our second destination, and then again at Gate 1-4 on our layover going back home. This location is so far nicest lounge we got to use with our Priority Pass lounge access. This is a 24-hour lounge and it seems there's no time limit unlike some other picky airports. You can see the Wifi code at the check-in counter. The layout is a section for sit down eating or you can go lounge at the individual sofa chairs. We had a 4 hour layover and I saw the entrees had changed from breakfast to lunch. The workers clear your table's plates pretty quickly. I enjoyed the latte machine, dim sum snacks, and fish cake noodles here. I also like the big refrigerator with all the Vita soy drinks to reminisce my childhood. The lounge by Gate 40 has giant windows so you can the airplanes takeoff. The one by Gate 1-4 is all indoor with no windows so it's more dim. Definitely a great way to relax and fill up your tummy before a long flight home!

Yelp
This apparently is the flagship lounge in the Plaza Premium Lounge network and it's located next to some of the other International Lounges at HKG. There are a couple of ways to gain access into the Plaza Premium Lounge. 1) You can pay for it. My advice, don't...because it's not worth it. Yes, there is hot food and a buffet and there are showers...but not really convenient. For the amount of money and the crowding issues that this lounge has a tendency to experience, it's not worth it. Not unless you're planning on a 9 hour layover and if that's the case, store your luggage in a locker and take the Airport Express into town. 2) You given complimentary membership in the Priority Pass Network of lounges which Plaza Premium is apart of through one of the many premium credit cards out there like the American Express Platinum Card, the Chase Sapphire Reserve, the Citi Prestige or the Ritz Carlton Card. The AMEX Hilton Surpass Card gives you access, but entry is not complimentary which means you have to pay $27/visit. This lounge like most at HKG is airy because of the high ceilings at the terminal. It's also not the quietest lounge because of that. There's a variety of seating options from loungers, to couches to high tops, low tops and cubicles. From my view, I felt like this lounge was set up more for dining than lounging as there were quite a few more tables than usual. The buffet is decent for airport lounge food, but I found the Plaza Premium Lounge at TPE to have better food. The udon noodles was nice to have, but lacked flavor. The sui mai was rubbery. The drinks supply was a plenty and the dessert options were there. There are showers at this location, but not within the lounge. You have to walk across the way to the spa so your basically forfeit your space by doing that. Overall, this is a nice option to have...but if you're departing at off hours, I actually find HKG to be far more relaxing of an airport than most in the world. If you have the option between this and say the United Club or the Virgin Clubhouse, I would choose the ladder.

Yelp
Lounge was a bit hard to find. There was a line outside because of processing delays. Finally got into this dark, low ceiling place with a crowded claustrophobic feel. We saw sandwiches, fries at one station and fried rice, stir fried vegetables, tomato soup, and some Chinese chicken and mushroom entrees at another. The best thing was the hot fish cake noodle soup. Saw several types of canned beers in a fridge along with soft drinks. But the fridge was not cold and drinks were lukewarm. There was a cash bar sign next to draft beers and wine so there's a charge. There was an area in the back area with charging stations but most required a Hong Kong type adapter. Only a few seats allowed USB connections. We left quickly.

Yelp
Had a late night fight from HKG so looking for a shower before boarding. Was told it's an two hour wait (wth) before you actually get the chance to shower. Lady staff had this 'I don't give a fuck' face. My recommendation would be to fly enough to get lounge access for airlines instead of choosing Plaza Premium lounges as they seem to be in the lowest end when it comes to customer services

Yelp
This lounge is the best priority pass lounge I have ever been in. The lounge is big and can fit a lot of people. This lounge is pretty busy but there was enough comfortable seating. The check-in was fast and easy. There are plenty of food options at this lounge. They have a noodle bar where you can ask them to make fresh noodle soup for you. There's also a small buffet, which had fried rice and a few dishes available. There is a snack and drink bar along with a huge fridge stocked with different bottled drinks that you can grab. The front bar has a bread and dessert bar along with someone making fresh wraps and sandwiches. You definitely won't want for anything here. The price of admission is almost $100USD without priority pass so the quality definitely matches the price. I would definitely stop here again if I were to go through HKG airport again.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've felt this ripped off. I've lost count of how many aspects of the experience were horribly off, but here's a few. I arrived at Hong Kong Plaza Premium Lounge around 5 am. I found the resting area cubicles littered with food scraps, wrappers, bottles, etc. Every single empty space was filthy. Newcomers walked up, scratched the backs of their head, and either left or moved the rubbish to nearby tables... which ended up accumulating to over a foot in length before it was finally removed. The check-in left much to be desired. The host was rude, unhelpful, and unclear. He sneered when I mentioned that my booking was supposed to include private resting areas. Oh, did I find the website confusing? He was so. very. sorry. The resting lounge would cost more, was I interested? Oops, no spaces left anyway. Bye now... And the highlight... the shower experience. This review gets two stars (not one) because the shower was at least clean. It wasn't easy to find though, and with lack of clear signage, I ended up wandering around for a while. This was after I asked for help at the front desk in locating it. How dare I! The poor ventilation and temperature control meant that after trying to dry my hair, I was even more sweaty and red-faced then when I had started. Forget relaxing, imagine yourself scrambling to get ready, get dressed, and sort your items out in a sauna. The time limit, the heat and the pent up steam in a tiny room made it awful. I could go on. I want to go on-there's just so much to discuss. But hopefully you get the idea. In conclusion, PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Yelp
I spent a few hours at this lounge to relax, clean up and finish off my work. I was there at around 11 plus at night. As my flight was at 7am, I decided to use this lounge to save money to stay at a hotel and also waking up in an ungodly hour to take public transport to the airport. It was empty at that time, had the whole place for myself. There was a little snack bar which is free flow. Sandwiches, cup noodles, bread and cookies were available, as for drinks, you have choices of coffee (machine), water, soft drinks and orange juice, not bad for midnight snacks. Every seats have two AC electrical sockets for you to do my work, I used those to charge up my portable devices and did some work on my laptop. Atmosphere at that time was quite and great for catching up with my stuff. After that, I went to use the shower, had to ask the staff to unlock a door for you. Service was pretty average, wasn't very helpful. Once I was inside, I had a very nice shower and was all set for my flight after that! Always great to feel fresh before your flight. So the next time my flight leaves HK at a very early hour, I would probably come back here.

Yelp
Plaza Lounge upstairs was very lovely and chill. They have a noodle bar, which had HK Fish Ball Noodle and Roasted Duck Rice Soup. There were also some egg rolls and tarts, a salad bar and a place to have some milk tea. The hot food area was quite small but the best thing there was the heaping pile of cauliflower and broccoli with onion and carrot. The broccoli was SO good, though it was salty with little bits of fried garlic and shallot. Apparently I was not the only one who thought this was the bomb because there were a lot of people coming back for more! There was also japchae, teriyaki chicken, fish shumai (the ones you get off the street in HK/ Doll brand shumai), and some vegetarian pizza (don't get that-- you're welcome). There was also an area with cereal, marshmallows, cookies and cakes, along with a snack mix and crushed Doritos (nacho cheese-- sorry Cool Ranch lovers). There was tea and coffee area, and bottled water, beer, juice, and Vitasoy milk in the fridge area. I had a tall can of lemon tea, which tasted quite like the Vitasoy one. Overall, pretty good. The business side of the lounge had a nice restroom area and little areas where you can work quietly. But otherwise the whole area was fairly quiet.

Yelp
Very much enjoyed this lounge. It is a lot quieter than the one near Gate 1. There was a variety of seating and magazines. Washrooms didn't have enough stalls for the amount of people it can hold. I loved the fish ball noodle bar and the Chinese dessert soup with gingko nuts. My m husband enjoyed chilling in front of the tv drinking a beer and watching premiere league soccer before our long haul.

Yelp
We had a TWELVE HOUR layover in Hong Kong Airport. We initially planned to get a hotel room for the day, but due to confusing signs in the airport that didn't happen. We ended up in the departures terminal at 7am with no plans. After doing some Googling, we found out there were these lounges in the airport that are open to anyone (and not just First Class/Business Class passengers). Disclosure: It's kind of expensive. BUT, for being stuck in the airport for TWELVE HOURS...it was worth it. Included in the day pass (we paid for 10-hours) was a shower and a 30-minute chair massage. The showers have to be scheduled as they're fairly busy but it was glorious. They are private shower rooms that you have for 30 minutes. The showers have great pressure and are clean. The 30-minute chair massage was amazing. I didn't realize how tight I was until I got the massage. As for the lounge itself, there is food all day long. You can go and graze. They have breads/pastries/cookies as well as snacks and other foods such as noodles/salads/buffet snacks. They have coffee/latte/beer/sodas. If you have a First Class/Business Class or Premium Economy ticket, you get access to the premium side of the lounge which has better desserts and liquor/wine for your taking. It can get super busy so just be aware. There are also no great places to lay down if you wanted to nap. You're kind of stuck sitting up at this place, but if you're stuck in the airport for a small eternity and you opted not to (or totally screwed up) try to leave the airport, then this is a nice option.

Yelp
HKG has two Plaza Premium lounges in terminal 1. Since this one is located directly below the security/exit immigration area, it tends to be disproportionately more crowded. However, there is a pretty steady turnover rate, so I don't think getting turned away is ever an issue. I was able to access this lounge using my Priority Pass membership card. Check-in is pretty straightforward, with 3-4 staff members present at the front desk to make the process as quick as possible. The lounge is very large and spacious as far as airport lounges go. There is ample seating in terms of couches, armchairs, tables, and workstations. Staff are fairly efficient about cleaning up dirty plates, but sometimes you do see several tables in a row that haven't been cleaned yet--that's just because this lounge is always pretty busy. The food options are tantalizing! There's a noodle bar where you can get fish ball soup made to order. There is also a buffet that offers local fare for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In another section is a bread and pastry bar, where I had some delightful coconut pudding. The fridges are replete with beer, water, and other beverages, and are completely self-serve. Tea and espresso machines are also available for hot beverages. I wish there were more free alcohol options than just beer, since that's pretty standard at most lounges around the world. Five stars if that were true!
