Chase Sapphire Lounge JFK T4

I missed my flight ✈️ and had to pay $99 ( but I have AmEx Platinum so the $200 incidental credit will cover it).I was able to stop by the Chase Sapphire lounge ( 1 visit /yr is allowed with the AmEx Platinum card). The ambiance is nice with various seating areas. They have showers to freshen up and prayer 🙏🏾 rooms. The staff is attentive & friendly. The buffet food is good as well, there was a nice variety. The bar tenders were cool I had many mixed cocktails 🍹. I look forward to my next visit. Unika B. & Co.

Was looking forward to visiting this lounge and even after waiting about 20 minutes outside, the experience felt underwhelming. As a solo traveler, I was led to the side room, where I was allowed to pick a table, but I couldn't sit anywhere else outside. I asked and they simply said no, I had to be in that room, even though it was just me and there were plenty of spaces. They had buffet style food and a standard Sapphire made-to-order plates on their menu. It felt similar to several other Sapphire lounges I've been to, even one that is co-branded with an airline..if you've ordered a sapphire burger, you know what to expect at another lounge. This lounge is not stingy with their alcohol..I was a little worried about being able to walk to my gate. Strong drinks, no complaints. 😅 Facilities are clean: bathrooms, shower, prayer/reflection room..even the common area! Everyone worked hard to pick up service items and refill food..like it, would return again.

Well I was a bit skeptical approaching Chase Sapphire lounge given the rating and negative reviews. But to my surprise this was the best experience I've ever had at an Int'l Airport. I spent almost 3 hours and everything was too good right from the reception to the buffet meal, drinks and comfortable seating. They had meat kebab stew, fish stew and other dishes in the buffet. Multiple types of coffees, amazing selection of desserts including baklava and mini chocolate brownies. Drinks were amazing too, I took orange juice. The washrooms were tidy and had muslim showers as well. They also had a reflection/prayer room. I checked in on Sunday at 11am and found plenty of room but later on guests started checking in and it went crowded. Still amazing service, the waiters and receptionists they've all my respect. One of the beautiful memories that I made here!

The way Chase had an agreement to co-brand with Ethiad for this lounge was deeply misleading. It is not a Chase lounge. It is an ethiad lounge Chase members have access to. But, ethiad members have priority and have no need to wait and sometimes they even turn away Chase sapphire reserve members. The wait when I went on 12/19 was very long and was over 45 minutes. The wait to get on the waitlist alone was five minutes. They announced ethiad business class passengers didn’t need to wait and ordinary priority pass passengers were not allowed. There were ten people in line to get on the waitlist when I arrived and there were over a dozen families sitting on the ground outside waiting to get in. The waitlist system is they get your phone number and then they text that you have ten minutes to check in at the front desk to get your seat without guarantee there are enough seats for your party. They also don’t give an estimated wait time or your spot on the queue. Inside the lounge, the front desk host had trouble finding me a seat and mentioned table sharing between different parties was a normal occurrence or people even just standing around. I luckily spotted a table for myself. I only spent ten minutes there because I was going to be late for my flight in another terminal. When I left the line was even longer to get on the waitlist and there were many uncleared tables. The staff seemed to be struggling to keep up especially at the bar. This lounge is NOT worth it if you purchase a chase sapphire reserve card to get access to this lounge. I spent most of my time when waiting in the virgin clubhouse and air India lounge where I had space to sit and some food to eat. The “chase lounge” (read: ethiad lounge) may be beautiful and the food may be decent, but the cons greatly outweigh the pros when it comes to choosing this lounge. Chase needs to not mislead its cardholders and better yet, make a better lounge system instead of contracting out to airlines like Ethiad who will clearly prioritize its own business and first class passengers. If you have non chase priority pass, you won’t get a chance at entering this lounge. Virgin clubhouse has plenty of space and air India has good Indian food (look out for the samosas!!)

Very good lounge located to the ledt after passing security, and about a 5-10 minute walk to the gates. It is spacious, so you can enjoy some quite time. You can order food and drinks with a QR code and they bring it to your table. There is also a coffee place, some biscuits and a small opened menu to serve from. It is my preferred lounge at JFK.

If you go in via priority pass, be prepared to be treated like second class citizens. From waitlist (even when it’s not at full capacity) to less than average service by the hostesses. The servers are much friendlier. Their ordering system kept having time out issues. Food-wise, there’s buffet as well as an online ordering system for made to order food and bar drinks. The portions are on the smaller side. I would skip the noodles and get the pasta. There’s no bottled water but there’s canned drinks and you can fill up your water if you brought your bottle.

Updating my review. This lounge seems much better and more pleasant than I remember a few months ago. I ordered food off the menu and it was very good. The food offerings at the buffet bar have also improved. Modern, clean, and comfortable lounge with great view of the outside. There are many places to sit, and ample spacing between seats so you can find privacy. However, a big drawback is that this lounge is simply not big enough. Particularly in the afternoon, there could be a long line to get in, and a few times I have had to write my name down on a wait list and wait for up to 30 minutes. The bathrooms also could have more stalls. I feel like the capacity needs to be expanded, especially because people are paying a lot of money for access! I have been to many lounges at JFK and this is one of the most comfortable.

Wait time: Even with the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card, I had to wait 10 minutes to get on the waitlist and then another 30 minutes to get in for a total of 40 minutes. Service: Service was alright, I was expecting it to be great considering they have a lot of staff around but after trying to flag someone sitting down for a minute I had to get up and walk up to someone in order to get their attention. Also, as a solo traveler they gave me a worse spot although didn't proactively ask if I wanted to wait for a better spot. Food: The food was very decent for lounge food. My favorites was the lemon bar and Moroccan beef. The burger and fries were also good, nothing fancy but not greasy (which is great) and tastes homemade in a good way. Features: There seems to be charging stations at each seat. The outlet at my seat didn't seem to work but there were plenty of outlets on the ground. The staff also offered me a charging block so I presume they have chargers if you forget to bring one. They also order all the made-to-order food via a QR code which is easy and convenient. They also had a board with all the flight information although they didn't have anyone come over to personally remind you of your flight. It's definitely an enjoyable lounge and one I would visit again if I had extra time.
