This is a 3-star hotel pretending to be a 5-star. The hotel and rooms are generally nice, though a little dated. That said, the rooms are high quality, very clean, and offer beautiful views. The hotel also has two decent cafés. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
There is only one main restaurant, which is both underwhelming and expensive. I would recommend skipping it and dining outside the hotel instead.
As for activities, during our stay there were effectively none. Ocean activities were not available, except for one option requiring a minimum of four participants—so as a couple, we were excluded. The swimming pools are mostly just 50 cm deep, clearly designed for children rather than adults. This makes it a good fit for families, but not for adults hoping to actually swim or relax by the pool.
You would also expect that being a beachfront hotel, the ocean could be enjoyed more freely. Instead, access is cut off at 6 pm, and you must sign a waiver to swim without a life vest and lifejacket, which feels overly restrictive.
Since options were so limited, we wanted to use the spa, but it was closed during our stay. The following day it only opened at 2 pm—after checkout. In general, almost everything (activities, cafés, restaurants, pools) has different opening hours, strict rules, and limited availability. It’s confusing, stressful to navigate, and makes planning nearly impossible. To make matters worse, activities for the next day are only announced on the day itself, so you cannot plan ahead.
Overall, the hotel served its basic purpose and has potential—it’s clearly trying to stay relevant—but the endless restrictions, inconsistent rules, and awkward scheduling make for an unpleasant experience. I won’t be returning, and unless you are visiting with children, I would strongly advise you to consider other options.
