We had an absolutely beautiful 2-night stay at this boutique hotel tucked away in Marseille! The facilities and grounds are exceptionally charming — special mention to the gorgeous pool which was a lovely setting to enjoy some wine on a hot summer afternoon. The service at check-in and throughout our stay was also very attentive and made us feel well cared for. We did eat breakfast at the Chateau for convenience and as an excuse to enjoy the absolutely beautiful garden dining area.
The room size was excellent with beautiful setting and extremely comfortable beds, including a large and comfortable sofa bed that made it easy to accommodate our party of 3 friends. Just an excellent place to stay for a relaxing time. The location is very walkable to the beach, which we enjoyed, and took cabs to the Old Port area to sightsee. The tucked-away location is quiet but still accessible to more activity, and is perfect for relaxation.
Our only negative experience was some delay during checkout with the attendant for breakfast not preparing anything until our entire party was seated although we had requested breakfast service at a certain time — we had a train to catch and the rest of us were checking out, settling bills, transporting luggage, etc. However, absolutely everything else in terms of service, attentiveness, cleanliness, room size, comfort, and space was genuinely a treasure! We will definitely recommend to others and be sure to return if we come back to the area.
