Amazing stay from start to finish. we were warmly welcomed with refreshments and help taking our luggage up to the room. The hotel is simply stunning, full of charm and well presented. The staff was very attentive throughout the two days we were here. Food and drinks were delicious. We could tell a lot of care and love goes into making guests’ experiences one to remember. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Marseilles and surroundings.

Great night at the Chateau- only thing I’d change is staying longer. Super welcoming and so many great amenities. The perfect place to get away from the city but still be in it. Enjoyed the quirky and clean rooms and pool.

We had an absolutely beautiful 2-night stay at this boutique hotel tucked away in Marseille! The facilities and grounds are exceptionally charming — special mention to the gorgeous pool which was a lovely setting to enjoy some wine on a hot summer afternoon. The service at check-in and throughout our stay was also very attentive and made us feel well cared for. We did eat breakfast at the Chateau for convenience and as an excuse to enjoy the absolutely beautiful garden dining area. The room size was excellent with beautiful setting and extremely comfortable beds, including a large and comfortable sofa bed that made it easy to accommodate our party of 3 friends. Just an excellent place to stay for a relaxing time. The location is very walkable to the beach, which we enjoyed, and took cabs to the Old Port area to sightsee. The tucked-away location is quiet but still accessible to more activity, and is perfect for relaxation. Our only negative experience was some delay during checkout with the attendant for breakfast not preparing anything until our entire party was seated although we had requested breakfast service at a certain time — we had a train to catch and the rest of us were checking out, settling bills, transporting luggage, etc. However, absolutely everything else in terms of service, attentiveness, cleanliness, room size, comfort, and space was genuinely a treasure! We will definitely recommend to others and be sure to return if we come back to the area.

I cannot say enough about Chateau Beaupin. We would come all the way back to Marseille just to stay here again. The staff were incredible. Denis, the manager, was very accommodating. And everyone else was very kind. 10/10 experience

Think Twice Before Booking We didn’t stay at the hotel—luckily. The place looks charming, but service was a disaster. We attended a cooking class and dinner here. While the class was private and pleasant, dinner was chaotic. The chef was overwhelmed cooking for both us and a full restaurant. Three couples left unserved after waiting 30+ minutes. We sat with empty plates and glasses, had to ask the manager to clean the table, and were met with rudeness from the waiter/barman, who asked “What do you want?” and looked annoyed we spoke English. We paid €250pp expecting a curated experience—but ended up feeling like unpaid staff. The food we prepared was served to other guests. Completely unacceptable.

I rarely add any ratings, but Victoria made our stay extra special. She gave us a lot of attention and advised the best places to go, making all the reservations. The hotel is atmospheric and the rooms are recently refurbished. Dinner was good too

We had a lovely two-night stay here, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood near the sea in Marseille. We paid a bit more for here than we would have for an Airbnb in the area, but we think it was worth it because of the professional services (daily cleaning, in-house dining options even though we did not use it, in-person check-in and check-out). Our room was big and we even had a private yard with a sun bed and breakfast table, which we sadly did not get to use as it was a bit too cold and windy in September when we visited. We really liked the decoration of the room and the whole chateau in general. RE: other comments about the hotel, it is typical of small bed and breakfasts in the South of France to not be totally sparkling new and polished as most of these buildings are pretty old and there is a more of a coastal patina to things (chipped paint, and creaky joinery), is how I can best describe it Just to note the city center is not super close unless you rent a car, but there is a local bakery for quick pastries in the morning. I also want to highly recommend a secret amazing dinner spot we found a 15 min walk from the hotel called La Parenthèse - we had the best meal of our trip here!
