Château Beausaint (La Roche-en-Ardenne, Wallonia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Tranquillity reigns throughout this splendid 1870 castle set in gardens and woodland. The historic character of the edifice is perfectly paired with the tasteful Flamant - style interior. The friendly vibe of this B&B is further enhanced by the helpful staff (who whisk your bags up to the third floor (no lift))!" - Tablet Hotels

We booked a place pretty last minute, so I was thrilled to find this gorgeous, perfectly renovated chateau, with amazing hosts and food. They accommodated my request for gluten free food, and much of the produce was made locally by small producers - we were very impressed. Loved our stay.

We are a family of five adults and stayed in the Carriage House. It was fabulous! A few short steps from the Chateau, we enjoyed the private patio, kitchen and extra room. Sally and her husband are the proprietors of the Chateau and take care of you through your entire stay. He is the culinary wizard and she, the details Queen! Breakfast was amazing, but if you are lucky enough to be there for the five course degustation menu, make sure you get a reservation! You will not be disappointed. The Chateau is a short drive from La Roche where you can go for shopping or dining. We were staying there around a tour of Bastogne and the Battle of the Bulge. Bastogne is about 30 minutes away. The charm of the Chateau is well worth visiting. I hope I have the opportunity to visit again. ||Sally gave us a viewing of the regular rooms in the Chateau and they're lovely with beautiful decor, modern bathrooms and all the comforts one could ask for.

Absolutely a 5 star experience. The ambience and the hosts Sally and chef Alain will make you feel at home immediately. The chateaux is very well maintained and looks amazing inside out. Rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and the restaurant is a jewel in the region. If not for the beautiful scenery I would go here only to have dinner. A culinary experience!

An unforgettable luxurious experience in an oasis of tranquility. Rooms are very large and beds are extremely comfortable, The food is exquisite. Chef Alain prepares dishes which are a lust to the eye and to the tastebuds at the same time. Hostess Sally is joyful and charming. Fantastic place to commence a number of promenades through the fields and woods.|In short: advisable as a medicine to jack up your spirit and soul.

My family (with a young daughter) stayed a night at Chateau Beausaint. The family that runs this is so nice and accommodating. Call ahead of time and make sure you have their dinner, it looked amazing. We booked too late to partake. But Sally called down to the town to ensure we were taken care of. There is a great patio that is really relaxing into the evening. This place is worth the trip! The town is nice too, seems to have some outdoor adventure places and ruins from an old castle.

My first time at a Chateau and it was good :). Nice Hospitality with everything we need, and Wonderful food. Every room is comfortable and equipt with everything you need. Maybe i'm a little bit peaky, but the floor was a littlle bit squeaky and the soap was strange. It doesn't wash out easly.||Any way, it looks like a cool place to stay in the Ardense.

Chateau Beausaint is a truly fabulous place. Alain & Sally, the owners are warm and friendly hosts and Alain is a brilliant chef. The quality of the accommodation is tremendous with the chateau tastefully updated where necessary yet keeping its charm. It’s also in a very pleasant setting in a small village with walks in the countryside around.||Possibly the best place we’ve stayed, anywhere

We arrived and were told that they were having a function with about 30 guests that evening so we would not be allowed to use the common areas in the house that evening and we would have to stay in our rooms. She said we could go elsewhere but never offered to call and find a place for us to stay. When we first arrived, I told her we have been traveling for 22 days and that my husband was not feeling well. Again, she gave us a couple of names in the town but, again, never offered to call to see if there was any availability. Since my husband wasn't feeling well and we had driven many hours, we decided to stay anyway and paid for the room the amount that she requested. After going outside on the patio to have a peaceful glass of wine, the gardener was there with a gas power trimmer trimming the bushes never stopping. The young innkeeper came outside telling us that there was a problem. We booked the room 6 months ago and apparently the prices went up and we owed her another 14€. So instead of getting a possible discount for not being able to use the common areas and having to stay in our rooms, we had to pay additional money or we had to leave. At that point, my husband was willing to sleep in the car because of her attitude and unwillingness to bend on anything. It was her way or the highway!! She made it very obvious that she preferred us not being there since she had a group coming in and having us there was an inconvenience. We've traveled throughout the world and this is the worst that we have ever been treated. The place might be lovely, but I would not recommend it as far as friendliness or service. We wound up leaving and getting a hotel in town (not as pretty) but with friendlier service and a feeling of welcome. With the treatment we received, my husband would not stay at the chateau. Think twice before booking this place.
