The Surprising History Below France’s Avenue de Champagne - AFAR

"Housed in a striking twin‑spire château on the avenue, this historic estate offers a compact but richly storied cellar experience that emphasizes heritage and spectacle. Its signature Sabrage Experience combines cellar history and local hauntings with hands‑on instruction in sabering a bottle, making it a theatrical, history‑steeped attraction for visitors seeking both lore and a memorable way to open champagne." - Brad Japhe

Best champagne house tour we visited. Delicious champagnes, beautiful location and wonderful stories, greeted by delightful and friendly staff. A real treat.

Such a fun tour! With tasting three champagnes in different locations on the premises! The castle is beautiful and we had a lot of fun with the sabrage, which was definitely a highlight! After the tour we finished our champagnes by sitting outside and enjoying the view!

Had a great time hosted by Marine at the Chateau- really intimate and great fun. Even parted with some cash for the other wines as well as Champagne which is superb! Even managed to improve my swordsmanship!

We chanced being in Épernay for their annual promenade de château. Was excellent and great value too. The Baron has an enviable collection of vineyards!

Came with my mom and friend on a girl's trip from the USA. Julian (spelling?! Sorry!!) was an amazing guide, very informative, fun, and patient with my lack of sabre skills!!! Thanks for the amazing addition to our trip, we rated yours the best tour and champagne we had in Champagne! Highly recommend!

Would highly recommend this champagne house. It was a lot more personal than the bigger brands/champagne houses, and it was really nice trying different ones in different locations throughout the grounds, plus very healthy sized glasses of champagne!

This was an incredible tour and unique experience of the Chateau's Champagne & Sabrage! Highly recommended to all. This is a beautiful family-run business and was the highlight of our 4 days stay in the region. Unlike the big brands, our host gave us truly bespoke and intimate storytelling, made space for all our guests to enjoy themselves and discovered the caves and the chateau at our own pace. We tried 3 champagnes, sabered many bottles to applause and memory making photos, then ended in the landscaped garden at golden hour. My only regret is not buying more!

Lovely champagne house on the Avenue De Champagne that is well worth visiting for a tasting. Newer, and smaller than the other grande maisons, the tours of the house feel more intimate and the staff are friendly and excellent. You can also try your hand at sabrage (slicing the this off a bottle with a scabbard). Excellent champagnes, especially the blanc Dr blanc.
