Château de Bourron

Stunning hotel very close to Fontainebleau |We stayed in the château which was beautifully decorated and hugely comfortable. No restaurant on site but it is a short walk to some delicious restaurants in the village. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed cycling around the park. The owners and staff were charming.|I would definitely recommend

If you are looking for an authentic chateau hotel experience while visiting Fontainebleau and/or Vicomte, this is the place to be. The owners did a fantastic job with the period decor for the inside and rooms of the chateau. The outside park area is something that you would see in pictures. The hosts were very accommodating in greeting us and helpful with an introduction to the layout of the chateau. The rooms were very spacious, with the only drawback being the shower has no curtains/glass and has one of those handheld contraptions causing a good amount of water to get on the floor (the lack of experience in using these probably does not help either). There a few restaurants available in the area that the front desk can reserve for you. Overall, highly recommend staying at this location because it's a memory you can have for the rest of your life. The host upgraded us to a nicer room, and we enjoyed both his hospitality and the comfort of the chateau. The town had some excellent places to enjoy dinner. Had the weather been drier, we would have been able to enjoy the grounds with the walks and tennis courts.

Located just down the road from Fountainebleau, this lovely chateau is a treat to even visit. |The location is great as you have the privacy of the chateau, but are only a short drive from town (you can even walk into the village) and the palace. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, and are happy to share the history of the chateau. The entire property is well maintained, and we found our room to be spacious and comfortable. They have been able to maintain the chateau's charm, while still offering all the modern amenities you would want.|We had a wonderful stay here and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

An absolute gem of a stay close to Paris! I have come here with my family four times and every time it feels like you are living out a fairytale. The chateau and grounds are stunning. We’ve stayed in the d’Artagnan house every time and the rooms are so clean and the beds are among some of the most comfortable we’ve ever had in a hotel. The hosts are lovely and accommodating and help provide useful tips for what to see in the area. If you’re looking for a quiet stay close to Paris that’ll make you feel like you’re living Iike a royal, this is the place to go!!

What a surprise!. To be able to stay in an authentic family owned 16th century Chateau with modern conditions. The owners should be proud of what they have achieved. Staying was a delight, extremely well appointed, well organized, very comfortable and no signs of ghosts. I could not recommend more highly

Château de Bourron is beautifully renovated, located just a 10-minute drive from Fontainebleau or an hour from Paris by car or train and is nestled within a large park and forest. In addition to the big house rooms, there are several outbuildings with individual rooms available for rent, perfect for families or groups of friends seeking a private space or for those who prefer to stay a bit more in nature. Each room is very comfortable and tastefully decorated in its unique style. Also, the rooms are very clean. The tranquility of the place guarantees a restful night's sleep. The owner is welcoming and hospitable and the property has been in the family for centuries. Upon request, a traditional French buffet-style breakfast is available, featuring fresh baguettes and croissants, ham, a variety of cheeses, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruits and jams, all of good quality. The nearby town Bourron-Marlotte offers several delightful restaurants. We recommend Bistrot du Broc for its traditional cuisine. The food is well-prepared, flavorful and complemented by an excellent wine list. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend restaurant Les Prémices on the same grounds. To be clear, it belongs not to the same owner! Château de Bourron is a place that feels like home from the moment you arrive. We eagerly anticipate our next visit!

We had an absolutely phenomenal stay at the Chateau. The hosts were extremely accommodating and have created a truly special experience for guests. This is an important generational family home to them and they have restored it meticulously. We will definitely stay again someday when we return to France!
