My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams at the Château de Flaugergues! The chateau gardens are absolutely stunning and provided so many unique spaces for each part of our day (the bambouseraie was perfect for the welcome lemonade, the more forested area served as our ceremony space, and the area in front of the orangerie was a great backdrop for our vin d'honneur!) We used the plastic chairs and tables provided by the chateau and these worked perfectly well. Pierre de Colbert and his team are very responsive and helpful, and really contributed a lot to the smooth organization of the event. It rained unexpectedly on our wedding day, but luckily the chateau has a big indoor reception room that we were able to use very easily for dinner and dancing (and it still looked great even without any decoration). For such a beautiful setting, we found the price of the venue to be very reasonable, especially compared to other chateaux in the region. As we had lots of international guests, the fact that the chateau is located near the center of Montpellier was really convenient, and there is a great hotel next door where all of our guests were able to stay (so no bothering with driving or ubers after the wedding). We also got to experience dinner and a great gospel music concert the night before our wedding at the chateau for the fête de la musique, which only added to our experience. Honestly, I can't imagine a better wedding venue in Montpellier!

It was a great day to have a guided tour (in English and French mixed) around the castle and have a little backstory of how, when and what was happening around it. The property is surrounded by beautiful gardens which worth a longer visit! Our tour has finished with wine tasting of white, rosé and red wines produced on the vineyards located behind the château. Many thanks to the staff and the lady who was our guide!🫶🏻

Google
Very nice tour of the Chateau, done by a young French lady in English, with some help with audience participation. There are some wonderful gardens to peruse afterwards and a wine tadting of 3 different wines, all made by the vineyard.

Great experience and nice local wines, the chateau and garden are both beautiful. It was a bit unclear at first wether we got tickets for just the wine tasting or the tour for the chateau/garden, ended up being both! The whole tour was in french, but they solved it right away giving us a translation card for the tour to help! Overall really nice staff and place :).

That’s a nice place to go for a walk. It takes about an hour to go around the garden. Next to it you can find an eco farm. And of course there is some degustation of local vines and products available.

Yelp
If you are in Montpellier, this is worth a side trip if calmness and a break from the urban environment is what you need. There is a spacious botanical garden to get some fresh air and appreciate nature, and you can tour the chateau. Throw in a wine tasting of some decent wine, and you can have a few hours of enjoyment.

Yelp
We enjoyed walking the gardens immensely. At first it was a little sparse in upkeep near the beginning (including a dead lily pond). We also found the hedgehog tour sheet a bit infantile. The olive tree veranda was gorgeous with a perfect windy niche to sit in at the end. The garden is towering and has nice umbrage. It is sweetly done and we loved the gingko tree in the end. The wine tasting was a bit unorganized and not very well led. The ladies working rush you through and somewhat pretentiously sell the goods. Fun wine to taste on a leisurely day and take home, but not so much to rave about. Reliably enjoyable overall.
