Porrentruy, in the Ajoie region of northwestern Jura, Switzerland, is a historic town that served as the residence of the Prince-Bishops of Basel.
The town hosts a St Martin's Day festival, which celebrates the harvest and the pig slaughter. Coincidentally, its coat of arms has a wild boar. According to legend, a huge boar charged into Porrentruy, was slain before the Hôtel de Ville, and became the town’s emblem.
