Please note that this château isn't open all the time it's in line with tourists, so July and August. There's a cost of €10 per adult and €5 per child, cash only. Between the hours of 10-12h and 14-16h (if my memory serves for the afternoon times), we went in the morning and waited for the first guided tour.
Our family visited in early August 2023. We loved the guided tour (this is how it works, guided or you can't enter), another French family was there and the guide, she was so lovely and translated in both French and English. I listened to both 😊
To say Château de Tournoël was derelict for 300 years it's amazing what has been lovingly restored/interpreted, but with the owners take on it, whilst having to follow key rules as it's a listed building.
I was blown away by the historic documents!! Phenomenal. I'm such a geek!
The guide was lovely and answered all our questions with enthusiasm and honesty. Thank you!!
Although, my two wanted to return for a pizza party 😆
Children loved it as much as I did, and we were so happy that we got to visit with a really interesting room at the end of the tour!! Not to be missed!! I don't usually like those kind of aspects but the guide made it so interesting and made me want to get to know the owner 🥰👌🏼
I recommend this tour of château de Tournoël wholeheartedly!!
