Best Bordeaux Wineries to Visit

"In an area where affordable wines can be difficult to come by, this St. Emilon Grand Cru offers a genuine taste of the terroir at realistic prices, and provides a great base for touring with its lovely B&B, including a gorgeous landscaped swimming pool about a mile from the center of town. Other attractions include its extensive quarry caves and guided tours and tastings. chateaufrancmayne.com" - Food & Wine Editors

Amazing experience with a large history of not just vineyards but even the route of pilgrims and excavation of lime stones. Lovely wines and our tour guide was so helpful with all the questions. Recommendation to see it! :)

Excellent tour of the wine production. We had a 40min tour, price which included 3 good size tasters. Veronique was fantastic. Good sense of humour and perfect amount of information delivered in an easy listening and very friendly way. Highly recommended.

Great tour from Antoine! We were about to book one day ahead online and they are one of the few vineyards open on Sunday. The English tour was great, 25 euros includes a tour to see how they blend and age the wines and you can see their cave as well. The tasting includes 3 different wines (merlot) including grand cru classé. We had a small group of 8 people and lots of opportunities to ask questions. Antoine was knowledgeable and friendly. A very enjoyable experience!

An Unforgettable Experience at Château Franc Mayne! We had an amazing tour with Véronique—an absolutely brilliant guide! Her knowledge and passion brought the rich history of the château to life. The wines were exceptional, and the underground caves were breathtaking (sometimes literally:). A perfect blend of culture, taste, and discovery. Don’t miss this gem!

Yelp
You should definitely visit this place if you are in the Saint Emilion area. We went there expecting a regular / standard wine tasting tour and when we started walking to the caves/tunnels we were like... ok, this is new! The guide not only gave us an explanation of the history of Chateau Franc Mayne, but she was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the region and explained to us in such detail everything that we saw in the limestone tunnels. I do not remember the name of our guide, but she was a girl that was in Napa for a little while, she was the nicest person.
