We booked a 3 night stay to have a relaxing & quiet break from touring 🇫🇷 France. It was a great choice. With just 10 rooms, it's restful AF. We were greeted with a smile by Maxime & from there, everything went fabulous. We had a lovely room, a really comfy bed & a great view over the river. Our first breakfast was attended to by Lucie, who was marvellous, nothing was too much trouble. I could understand if people expect & "cooked" options for in-house dinners, but that, to us, improved the exclusivity & charm of the Château.

I stayed at this beautiful chateau with my husband and our two young children. We stayed during the week so it was very quiet and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! The private balcony, the refreshing pool and the especially the wine dispenser were all favorites among our group. The breakfast was delicious and we agreed that they were the best croissants we had during our whole trip. We enjoyed our picnic by the water with the delicious cheese and meat plate available for purchase. A short 20 min drive to Bordeaux city centre and plenty of parking for our car. We loved going to the wineries and into the city during the morning/afternoon and retreating back to the chateau in the afternoon for swimming and sauna time. We truly enjoyed EVERYTHING about this hotel and would love to return again someday. Thank you all so much for your hospitality!

Stunning chateau with lovely gardens, excellent hospitality from the team. We had a slight issue with the air conditioning (it was 35 degrees outside!) but Max went above and beyond to resolve this. We were very comfortable. Breakfast was typically French which we enjoyed. There is a basic choice of food throughout the day but there is no active bar or restaurant. The wine vending machine is interesting! Tea and coffee always available free of charge.

This was my first trip to the Bordeaux region, and wanted a unique experience. Chateau Grattequina is a unique property that is approx 10km north east of Bordeaux city. It's a convenient location for accessing the city, which we did almost every day for dinner and walking around the city. Out closer to the Chateau are bike/walk paths. The location was convenient for visitng the vineyards of Medoc and Margeaux. We didn't take the trip to the beach, but we were told it was approx an hour away. ||||The property was beautiful and well-maintained. The service staff was attentive to our needs and we enjoyed speaking with them about the area and the property. The rooms are large, well-equipped, and comfortable. Our room had a view of the pool, gardens and river on one side, and the expansive front lawn on the other side. The morning breakfast was outstanding and included a variety of local options. I enjoyed the self-serve wine bar which had 8 wines which you could access with a card, and choose the size of the pour from a taster to a full glass. Their kitchen offers cold snacks such as salads and charcuterie throughout the day and evening. ||||I enjoyed the pool area which is surrounded by beautiful gardens and includes a pool house with a sauna and shower. ||||Chateau Grattequina is a perfect option if you are looking for a unique expereince or to stay outside the crowds and noise of Bordeaux city. ||

For 3 nights, we and another couple stayed at Chateau Grattequina in the suites with the stone terraces overlooking the river. It was heavenly. As my travel companion remarked, “After seeing so many chateaux, it’s nice to be staying in one.” The owner even gave us a ride into town on his speed boat!

This is our second stay at this stunning hotel. The ambience is wonderful as are the people and the service. The room was spacious with beautiful views of the gardens, pool and the river. Breakfast was good and whilst the dinner menu is limited, it is perfectly fine. Not cheap but would stay again in a heartbeat.

The Château was beautiful and very well taken care of the grounds were breathtaking. The pool and the pool area were very clean. The hosts Were exceptional and went out of their way to make our time their special. In the end, it was worth the trip back-and-forth to Bordeaux for our planned activities. It was very special to return to this unique retreat. Watching the boat go by on the river while sipping wine and eating wonderful cheese and baguettes was also a big treat

Incredible Chateau along the Garonne. It's outside of the busy city of Bordeaux, so it's quiet while still being close. Plan meals accordingly as they serve some light fare during the day/evening. Nice breakfast is included. Room 8 is spectacular!!!
