Château Haute Roche

Perfect, every detail was fabulous. Lars and Nirin are the perfect hosts. Professional and warm. The chateau and grounds are delightful. We stayed in the Tower room, too wonderful to describe fully. We are not easy to cater for, with endless restrictions. Lars made the most incredible meal, he is really talented, the reviews are not exaggerated. We did not stay long enough, a good excuse to go back. And only a few metres from the Loire a Velo.

Myself and my father had a fantastic stay here recently while attending a wedding locally. Lars and Nirin are the warmest hosts and have thought of every detail for a comfortable stay and luxury experience. The food is superb, we had a special dinner on our first night and it was spectacular- especially the wines! The setting is stunning and serene, and the dogs were the cherry on top! Every room is finished to a very high standard, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. If you are in this area Haute Roche is a must, it represents great value and is truly a memorable experience.

Just back from 2 nights staying at this charming Chateau.||The local area is beautiful, with plenty of restaurant / bistro options in Oudon and the surrounding villages.||My room was decorated and furnished to a meticulously high standard, and I had 2 great nights of sleep on the comfortable bed. Great bathroom too; I was lucky enough to have the room with the "shower in a tower" - very cool!||The views over the Loire valley are to die for, and every window frames another fantastic view from inside the Chateau. No light pollution at night makes for some amazing star gazing too!||Breakfast was an event! Home made bread and preserves, excellent coffee, an egg from the Chateau's hens, local apple juice and lots more!||The highlight of the stay was to be welcomed and looked after so well by Lars. ||A heartwarming experience!

This was our first time staying in a Chateau, and we are very impressed by the beauty of the place and Mr Lars’s warm hospitality. The Chateau is nestled along the Loire Valley, and the interior is very cozy. The cleanliness, furnishings and bedding in the rooms were impeccable!||We absolutely enjoyed the dinner prepared by Mr Lars, it was the best meal we had in France thus far! Breakfast was scrumptious and Mr Lars provided a wide selection too! We could taste the freshness of the ingredients used to create the dishes.||This place is an absolute gem and we were so glad to have a chance to spend time here!

If you want to treat yourself to a sublime stay, then you must go here. Beautiful location with stunning views of the Loire Valley. A small, fine and unpretentious castle that has some amazing owners. They are the icing on the cake with their great friendliness, high level of service and helpfulness. The fact that the rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean is just a big plus. Few rooms so book quickly. The beautiful view can be enjoyed from all the rooms and the car is safely parked on the ground behind a gate.

Lars achieves the perfect balance of refinement and simplicity, professionalism and hospitality. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and bathed in sunlight with views over the garden and the Vallée de la Loire. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, making generous use of local ingredients which Lars transforms into original and succulent recipes. Highly recommended.

It's hard to better the experience you'll receive from Lars at the Chateau Haute Roche. An oasis of calm and serenity, incredible food, wonderful hospitality and stunning views. Do yourself a favour and take a moment to indulge yourself here. I only wish we had booked for longer.

We had the most wonderful stay here for a few days. Lars is a perfect host, he is charming and helpful. The property has a very interesting history, and now is decorated in an elegant cool Swedish style. There is a gorgeous view from the large patio (also from our room). Lars has been a professional cook, I strongly recommend that you ask him to cook you dinner one night. To me this was the most luxurious stay we had ever had, not in the sense of opulence, but in the beauty of the place and the interactions we had. You should definitely stay here if you can.
