Château de Noyelles – Baie de Somme, a Design Boutique Hotel Noyelles-sur-Mer, France

"In the heart of the Baie de Somme, between Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme and Le Crotoy, the Château de Noyelles hotel house is a unique place nestled in a magnificent green and flowery 4-hectare park. The protective turrets of this mid-19th century castle overlook an English garden with perfect lines. We welcome you to this address where the eclectic decoration of each of the 12 rooms combines period furniture and contemporary creations. This establishment is as romantic as possible between the suites of the Château or the two caravans fitted out in the park and the table d'hôte where you can enjoy an excellent meal by the fireside in winter, under the light of candles. Our table d'hôte offers gourmet cuisine through a unique menu made of fresh, homemade products. Dinner is possible via reservation 48 hours beforehand (excluding lunchtimes and Sunday evening). Our rooms are not equipped with television but you will find one available in the salons of the Castle. Free private parking is available on site. You will stay just 4 minutes on foot from the train station serving Paris in 1h40 direct. The Château provides bicycles on request to explore the surroundings or to go sand yachting on the Channel coast located 3.7 mi away. Le Touquet-Paris-Plage is 23 mi from Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, while Berck-sur-Mer is 16 mi away. The nearest airport is Le Touquet-Côte d'Opale." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

The chateau is beautiful, in relaxing grounds with an orchard from which they produce fresh apple juice. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast is excellent. The main building is lovely, but wi-fi is patchy, as, on occasions is phone reception. I stayed in one of the overflow rooms (this was peak season), a wooden caravan in the grounds. This can be a quirky, different option. But it can get hot and is located some distance from the main building. ||This is really a bed and breakfast. You have to book dinners 48 hours ahead, but there's a bistro opposite that serves local seafood specialities. The main tourist towns are just 10 minutes' drive away, so there's lots to do and see, and some very good food. Also good activities for children.||One of my favourite parts of France, I've visited several times and never tired of it.

We stopped for one night before travelling further into France. The chateau is stunningly beautiful with lovely grounds and a couple of communal rooms to sit in.||||We stayed in the Orangery which had an en-suite room with an enormous bed and a sofa bed in the kitchen area which was fine for one night. There is a coffee machine in the kitchen which is a nice touch. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.||||We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was a set menu but a delicious vegetarian alternative was happily provided. We also had breakfast which was lovely- cereal, croissants, meat, cheese, yoghurt and the offer of eggs cooked to our choice should we want it

We stayed in the "Gipsy Caravan" in the pear and apple trees orchard. Wonderfully romantic and great accomodation. The chateau itself is rather impressive and all its facilities were opened to us. The caravan itself was surprisingly spacious and decorated with flair and lots of little touches which made it unforgettable. The lady of the Chateau was adorable and super helpful. What a beautiful place and what a great idea for a more quirky accomodation

Beautiful location, impeccably maintained chateau surrounded by beautiful gardens. I arrived on my bike late for check in and after the local restaurants had closed. The proprietor Anne kindly waited for me beyond the regular check in time and even lent me her car to drive to the next village for a meal! The room was great and breakfast was delicious.

We were here for a wonderful week. This is a great place to stay and the hotel has a relaxed elegance. You feel as though you are really experiencing this lovely part of France. ||It was a good location for day trips to the nearby cities and WWI history. St Valery sur Mer is close and full of shops and restaurants.

We stayed here for 1 night on our London to Paris bike ride and it was everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bath and shower facilities were amazing and the owner offered to do breakfast earlier for us so we could set off on our next leg. I would happily stay here again!

Charming and friendly in a good location, quiet and within easy reach of the sea. Breakfast was good and extensive if you wanted it to be, and good value. Dinner, whilst without choice when we were there as we were the only occupants for one night, was good and tasty, and good value.

Travelling from the Aveyron to the Baie de Somme takes around 9 hours allowing for stops. We arrived around 8.30pm. The dining room was half full but we were unable to eat at the chateau as we had not booked beforehand. Our fault I expect, although the offer of an ommelette or some bread and cheese would have been welcomed. No other eating places in tiny Noyelles sur Mer were open on a Tuesday. It was suggested we try Saint Valery-sur-Somme (other side of the estuary) to find a restaurant. We have stayed in Saint Valery before and it does have lots of restaurants but the idea of walking around at 9pm hungry and looking for a meal was unbearable. Low and behold a McDonalds is just outside Saint Valery, we ate there rather than starve. This is an experience in itself, no fast food here, you go in and quickly order from a board then wait at least 20-30 minutes for your order only to find it is usually wrong. It was quite amusing to watch all the comings and goings of everyone.||Regarding the 'cottage' for €85 I could honestly stretch out my arms either side of my body and almost touch both walls! I had to climb into the 4'6" bed from the end as it was pressed up against the wall. Everything was immaculately clean but it was a bit of a shock to see how tiny the room was! Oh! and no television in the room so walked around the grounds to kill some time. WiFi only in the chateau.||We shall stay in the Mercure in Abbeville next time! Also cottage near noisy road and noisy trains passing every so oftern.
