Château Hôtel Edward 1er

We spent a week at the hotel staying either side of our son's wedding. It is ideally located to explore the interesting town of Monpazier and the surrounding area. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a lovely view and Isabel and all her staff including the cleaners were helpful, considerate and couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. Breakfast was plentiful and appetizing. We dined in the restaurant one evening which is to be highly recommended with excellent food and service. The pool was a godsend and very welcome in the heat with no problems finding somewhere to lay your towel. Overall we would highly recommend a stay here, it manages to combine an air of relaxation with comfort and elegance. We felt it was also excellent value given it was high season and we would love to return at some point.

We booked the room last minute as our other hotel was not up to standard. The staff were very courteous and welcoming. We were shown to our room and everything explained perfectly. The room was spotless and everything was available to us. A nice touch was the little table and chairs outside our room. We had breakfast the next morning which was a selection of hot or cold food buffet. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be visiting it again

The Chateau Edward 1er is a beautiful hotel perfectly situated in a historical village and perched above the French countryside. The staff are exceptional, the rooms are comfortable and stylish, we could not have asked for more. It is like you are staying in a historic art gallery as they have many pieces of art and sculptures that are for sale. We bought a beautiful bronze ballerina statue! A day at the pool followed by an exceptional dinner makes for a perfect summer day.

We had an amazing and unforgettable birthday celebration at the stunning Chateau. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious and the service impeccable. Isabelle's incredible attention to detail at every point to make our night special was so appreciated. We will treasure our celebration here for many years to come. Highly recommend if you are seeking an elegant, intimate and super-fun event.

On our way from the Massif central to Bordeaux, this was a perfect stop: A beautiful village, quiet, and then this little castle on the edge of the village with warm hosts—like a dream. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the pool, as well as playing chess. The generous breakfast was also a perfect start to the next day. Isabell's tips later proved to be extremely helpful in Bordeaux and Arcachon.

The Chateau Hotel Edward 1er was the ideal location to enjoy a couple of days in Monpazier. Charming and professional staff, spotlessly clean property with loads of character and the pool was particularly welcome in the het after a day's exploring. we loved both and would return in an instant.

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful village. The staff cannot do enough for you, and are always smiling!! The food is exceptional. Can't wait to return.
