Our short stay here was a gift and what a fantastic gift it was! A beautiful hotel in a very tranquil fishing village of Rozelle Bay. If peace and quiet is what you seek this is the place for you. |We flew into Jersey Airport boarded the bus into St Hellier Liberty bus station, had walk around the town center and then hopped on another bus to La Vallee De Rozelle. The bus service in Jersey is fantastic! The drivers are very helpful and friendly and always smiling! So easy to get around Jersey without a car.|We arrived at the Chateau Le Chaire to a very warm welcome by Nassim & Sonia. Nassim showed us to our room which was spacious and very well furnished. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast menu with options for all tastes/requirements. The Jersey breakfast was delicious. |We had dinner at the Rozelle Pub & Dining Restaurant just a 2 minute walk down the road from the hotel. A quaint little fishing village for a stroll in the evening. Overall nothing short of perfection making this a relaxing stay. Thank you to everyone at Chateau La Chaire for a memorable stay.

This trip was to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday so we chose this hotel having eaten in it approximately 13 years ago and we were highly impressed. This was to be a very difficult experience. Àlthough the hotel kindly allowed us to use car park at hotel and they advised they only had one "superior" room on first floor with no lift but they did help in with luggage but not out. What they didn't say was that it was two steps into bath to get to the shower. Very difficult. The house keeping was poor. Once the mark from my head was still on the pillow after cleaning room. The toiletries were sparce as were many things . A sherry etc tray was placed on check-in desh but we were not offered any. The decor in our room was overpowering . I was very old, dusty and dressed blanket on bed was Bally. It was a large room but needed completely revamped. The bathroom was no better with cracked tiles and a leaking toilet which was fixed immediately. I had a job to stop my husband checking out of hotel on second day. The front on house staff were pleasant but over worked from reception to serving breakfast to drying off and preparing outside tables, to say nothing of serving evening meals. On the evening before we left I paid the bill and explained to Sarah who was lovely all our issues and she apologised. I asked if the manager could contact me asap after we left because I wanted to be polite and give him a chance to explain, however one week later and I have had no contact from him, in fact at no time during our week stay did he greet us or even acknowledge us. The food especially breakfast like the toiletries was sparce.|There was no acknowledgement of my dear husband's birthday. How disappointing. The hotel is not being taken care of neither inside nor out.......I'll say no more.

The front of house staff were very friendly & helpful. A credit to the hotel. From thereon in, it was all downhill. The general manager never made himself known to us.|Our welcome letter promised us a memorable experience. It did, but for all the wrong reasons.|The hotel appeared to be very tired & needs redecorating externally & refurbing internally. |Our Room 2 was down at heel. A previous leak in the ceilings not mended & leaked rainwater on our last night. Appalling thin, stained old carpets you could see the floorboards underneath. Leaking coffee machine. Cracked toilet seat. Dripping, swivelling taps. Dirty windows. Feature gardens were untended & a wilderness.|The AA inspector calls this 'sumptuous luxury' By no stretch of the imagination was this 'sumptuous luxury'

Service excellent.|Property needs updating and maintenance. |Furniture's dated. |Good breakfast. |Evening meal a little over priced, as is the only pub in the village owned by hotel owner. |Nearby a very picturesque little bay, one bus stop to Jersey Zoo, other than that nothing else. |2 nights is plenty.

We stayed 1 week here in July 24 - we travelled with 1 dog. We had booked superior room. The carpet was quite stained and old, and I realize that we get a dog room - but actually we pay extra for cleaning when bringing a dog. The room was not superior, the bath was in the bedroom and the actual bathroom was small. The fridge didnt work, and was not repaired during our stay - so the fresh Milk they offered for Coffee was sour every day. There were No comfort chairs in the room so the only place to sit and relax was in the bed. The breakfast was not something special. The Honesty Bar in the living room is a nice iniative, but maybe providing bottles that are not empty would help on the sale. Or refilling with ice cubes during the day so the wine would be cold in the afternoon. Unlike others we did not find the staff super, they just did their job and nothing else. The house and surroundings are very tired. Need of many loving hands to bring it back to life. The stay on Jersey was however still very lovely and we can recommend it to everyone looking for good hikes and beautiful nature

Had a first floor room. Very spacious, clean. Comfy bed. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast good. Not for people looking for lively places but great for quiet getaway. Also, be prepared for hills and steps. |Bus route, whilst not frequent, was reliable.

Just lovely! Charming, cozy, welcoming hotel, with lovely atmosphere and friendly helpful staff (thank you Nassim ,Sarah, Chloe) set in a simply gorgeous location in Rozel. ||Food at the associated restaurant/gastropub The Rozel first class. Had a great chat to very engaging new chef Ross this morning who has brilliant pedigree from London and lots of exciting ideas - good luck Ross! and if you can’t find someone else to dive for your scallops in the bay, I’ll gladly volunteer! ||In all, truly lovely. Thank you and we’ll be back.
