Excellent private vertical tasting session with matching charcuterie and cheese platter each. We tried 2008, 2009 (Robert Parker 100 points) and 2010 (double stainless steel tank).
The tour of the winery was excellent and the lady explained the histories, interesting family stories and the whole wine making process from hand picking grapes, sorting tables, fermentation, barrel selections, racking etc. We have learnt a lot and appreciate the wine differently now.
We had the opportunity to taste the actual grapes from 4 different varieties as well which used in their blends and we really understood how to distinguishing different grape varieties by looking at the leaves.
Charcuteries and cheeses matched the wine perfectly; we both particularly loved the curred smoked duck! It was so delicious!
Merchants and wine are available to purchase from their retail store and we took home the 2010 vintage.
Reservation is definitely recommended and they only have a very small amount of private booking available. We had our private guide Guillaume arranges everything for us.
