DONT LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! THERE’S NO WAY THIS IS A 4 STAR “RESORT”. This resort honestly needs to be shut down. The property is run-down, the staff are extremely rude, and service takes forever. Literally every single customer I encountered had a complaint. During my 3-night stay, I only received room service once. I had to ask multiple times just to get towels. The TV never worked the entire stay, and the bathroom sink made loud, constant noises. There’s no microwave in the room and only ONE mirror. When I asked for spoons and forks, they couldn’t even provide basic eating utensils. The elevators were a complete nightmare. I requested a top-floor room and quickly regretted it because only one elevator was working, and the wait time was ridiculous. The mini mart never had anything stocked. They only have sunscreen and medicine. No sodas, chips nothing. The pool wasn’t open. The water pressure in the room SUCKED. Parking was horrible. Super far from the entrance. All the amenities closed at 7. We only used the resort to sleep and shower at this point. The bed was uncomfortable, and the overall cleanliness was concerning. One guest found a roach in her bed. Another guest had someone else checked into her room by mistake. Yet another guest tried to check in with a confirmed reservation and was told there were no rooms available because they were fully booked. Customer service was horrible, and the staff seemed extremely unorganized. Honestly, the only good thing about this place was the view from our balcony. Staying at a comfort inn or motel 6 would have been such a better experience than staying at this run down resort! Take your money elsewhere! I understand every customer has different opinions but every single person I encountered had a problem.

I stayed at the Chateau Mar Golf Resort over Thanksgiving and unfortunately had some unexpected surprises. When I booked online, I was under the impression that breakfast would be included or at least easily available in the morning. However, when we arrived, we were told there was no breakfast service included at all. That was a letdown, especially on a holiday morning. Additionally, we noticed a pretty strong smell of weed smoke in the elevator area, which wasn’t exactly welcoming. And while we don’t have anything against pets, we also noticed quite a few dogs around, which might be something for other guests to be aware of if they’re sensitive to that. Overall, the room itself was fine, but these issues did affect our experience. If management can clarify their breakfast policies and maybe keep an eye on those common areas, it could make the stay a lot more comfortable.

I booked two rooms with two beds for three nights through Expedia. The hotel looked nice in the photos, and I paid $1,014 for two rooms for three nights. However, in a very absurd way, the hotel claimed that only one of the rooms was paid for just one night. I forwarded the Expedia receipt to them by email as proof. Additionally, I requested housekeeping service for both rooms. When I returned to the hotel in the evening, the situation was a disaster — no fresh towels were provided, the beds were not made, and the pillows smelled bad. The hotel claims they do not even have enough towels available. On top of that, the picnic shelter by the river is surrounded by trash. Do not stay at this hotel. Although it operates under the Wyndham brand, there is absolutely no sign of quality or proper management. This stay was a complete disappointment for me.

I stayed at Chateau Mar for a long-term stay and always paid my money on time. My experience ended in the worst way possible. The staff claimed I damaged a towel, and instead of simply charging me for it, they escalated the situation to an extreme level. They called the police while I was there with my minor children, despite the fact that I was calm, peaceful, and cooperative.. I swear! The General Manager Alison handled the situation poorly, and seemed oblivious always. Although she gave me a fixed rate, her staff would constantly change my rate. the Assistant Manager, Mariah, made me feel discriminated against through her behavior and attitude. Dana, one of the workers, was also rude and dismissive throughout my stay. She even tried going back and forth with me while police were present because I told her she was wrong for treating me this way. What should have been an easy and professional conversation turned into an unnecessary and traumatic ordeal. I left feeling completely disrespected and unsafe in the presence of my family. I would never recommend this hotel, especially for families or anyone expecting fairness, professionalism, or basic hospitality. Only one elevator works, tv remotes don’t work, ac doesn’t work, the Haitian maintenance guy with the gold teeth does fix everything, he’s great.(don’t know his name) However they maintain cleanliness to a fair level and Ariel was very kind and understanding to me, she deserves a promotion for her hospitality. Emanuella the housekeeper was wonderful, but the head housekeeper was annoying I don’t know her name. I hope one day they get treated like they treated me. A regular and a paying customer. As a person who helps this community so much I don’t recommend anyone bringing their family here. I’m still traumatized at the end results. I stayed August-Nov so I paid quite a bit. I should have been treated with integrity.

Stayed here with a friend on the 5th floor , I think it was room 530. There were baby roaches roaming the table & a dead bug on one of the beds. I visited my family once at this location, a bee 🐝 snuck inside from the balcony, the chairs in the balcony had dead bugs, live spiders & bird poop everywhere. Someone left their kid’s shorts near the balcony & they yelled at me to throw it downstairs to them. Mosquitoes in the bathroom. There’s always a party and loud music downstairs, so if that’s not your style don’t book here. They play pool table very loud downstairs, feels like loud gun shots. When I book a separate room of my own, room doesn’t have a microwave just a fridge but the lobby provides a microwave. There’s a nice computer area where I usually charge my phone. Lobby bathrooms are clean & downstairs is decorated with luxury. Hotel staff is always nice & mind their business. Who I can’t stand is the next door restaurant worker lady with the dreads. She has a terrible attitude, always rolling her eyes. Even though I spend $30 or more. For some reason the hotel charged me $14.99 after check out without any explanation, still waiting on a refund from my bank. Overall it’s a cool hotel for a young crowd

This hotel rides on 50s nostalgia under the guise of being a 4 star experience. Ive had better Wi-Fi at 1 stars. Whoever said the rooms were well decorated. I want what they are smoking because the room literally has a small 50s vibe frigidaire, 3 tiny paintings, what looks to be the tiniest desk I have ever seen in my entire life that would make the likes of IKEA blush. It's 2025 and we still dont have microwaves in our room? Sheeeeeessshhh. RoOmS aRe eXtReMelY NeAt, wElL dEcOrAtEd, CoUldN’T hAvE HaD aSkEd fOR a bEtTeR sTAy!

Sliding doors are so outdated you can hear EVERYTHING outside. Every night of our 3 night stay was disturbed by noise from other guests or from the park downstairs, including a loud speaker/music that started before 6am on a Saturday. Front desk was unwilling to do anything about it. Additionally, rooms were dirty with several bugs, rust, dirt and mold. Only two large towels were provided (4 guests) and we had to wait hours for additional ones because they didn’t have any. Only one functional elevator. I honestly cannot believe this facility is affiliated with Wyndham.
