We recently stayed here with the family. On the plus side: beautiful location, lots of activities to choose from (we flew in a helicopter, did archery, etc.), great food, and the chalet itself has a lot of history.
On the downside: 1. The rooms are gorgeous, but if you look closely, there are cracks in the bathroom, the water taps are dirty, and the sofa near the bed is broken—the armrest comes off when you lean on it. 2. Housekeeping wasn’t great sometimes. In the morning, I accidentally dropped a candy wrapper in the middle of the room when rushing to breakfast. Housekeeping came, but the wrapper was still there after they left. They only made the bed. However, the second cleaning in the afternoon was much better 3. The restaurant: if you’re having a buffet, there’s plenty of delicious food. But if you’re ordering for a group in the restaurant, be prepared to wait for your meal. We waited an hour and a half. 4. The jacuzzi and pool are small. I can’t imagine how they manage during peak season when there are way more people.
In conclusion, it’s a great place to celebrate an event, and overall, the standard is very high. But in my opinion, a 5-star experience should be something different.
