Château Monfort

Absolutely wonderful hotel in a fantastic location in the city! It’s extremely easy to get to, with metro and tram stations right outside. The hotel is a beautifully restored mansion straight out of a fairytale. The themed rooms are stunning and impeccably clean — housekeeping cleans and makes up the room twice a day, which is truly impressive. The staff are exceptionally kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything you need. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

Really enjoyed a second stay in Chateau Monfort around Christmas time. The exuberantly decorated hotel has lovely Christmas decorations, fittingly also slightly over the top. They deliver a true five star experience for the price of a four star hotel (in Milano). The Spa is phenomenally nice and included in the room rate if you book on the hotel’s own website. The Mezzanotte lounge bar is expensive but very pleasant and did provide a complimentary Limoncello digestif as a nice gesture. Although this is somewhat unusual indeed, I was happy to sign for the 5 percent tip which had been included (proposed) on the hotel bill.

Chateau Monfort in Milan is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their exceptional service. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a magical and festive atmosphere that was just perfect. Our room was great and the entire hotel was spotless. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a delicious variety of food that was both tasty and plentiful. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful, and I would highly recommend Chateau Monfort to anyone visiting Milan!

We had an amazing stay here. After splurging on stays elsewhere on our Italy trip we tried to find somewhere with better value on our last leg of our trip. This happened to be the nicest hotel of our entire trip. Rooms were great and beds were very comfortable. The hotel is beautiful.

We had a great stay at this beautiful hotel. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated their warm service throughout our visit. One thing I’d like to point out is the bathroom design — the bathtub and shower head setup wasn’t very user-friendly, and water ended up all over the floor after showering. Not a major issue, but something that could be improved for future guests. At checkout, I was informed that an additional €10 had been added to our bill as a support/tip for the hotel staff, with the option to remove it if we preferred. I chose to opt out because the situation felt a bit awkward. We usually tip staff individually when appropriate, so being presented with an added charge at checkout was unexpected. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate the staff’s hospitality, but a bit more clarity around optional charges and a small improvement in bathroom design would make the experience even better.

Excellent hotel in a very convenient area, with public transport right nearby and an easy walk to the main sights. The staff were welcoming and made check-in smooth, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. The spa was calm and well organized, and the food was consistently good. A solid choice if you’re looking for a comfortable, high-quality stay.

Some of the most helpful staff of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in, extraordinarily professional. House keeping was top notch, but inconsistent; a little standardisation between the team and a more streamlined laundry service will see this place earning Michelin keys. 10/10, never wanted for anything.

Nice 5-star hotel with a unique and somewhat whimsical, fairytale-like style. I stayed here for the second time recently, and while the decor can be a bit over the top, the overall experience is solid. The location isn’t right in the center, but it’s still fairly central and well-connected, making it convenient enough for exploring Milan without being in the middle of the crowds. Service is consistently good, and the staff are professional and helpful. The hotel has a spa, which is decent—not extraordinary, but a nice extra. I didn’t try the restaurant or breakfast, so I can’t comment on that part. One downside is the room layout, which can be a bit awkward, and the rooms themselves are on the smaller side—even the upgraded room we stayed in felt quite compact. Still, it’s quiet, clean, and offers a level of comfort and service that makes it a good option if you’re looking for a more affordable five-star stay in Milan. I’d recommend it for travelers who want a touch of luxury without the price tag of the city’s top-tier hotels.

I can't express enough how fabulous this hotel is. From the staff to the property itself, it's all amazing. It's like staying inside of a castle. Close to all the luxury shopping, including Via Montenapoleone as well as fine dining. I was able to have my room upgraded to one of the junior suites with a circular bed and it was superb. They also use Diptyque for all of their body care products. While I waited for my driver to pick me up on my last day, I ordered the Barbie cocktail at the bar and it was the prettiest and tastiest drink ever. I can't wait to stay there again on my next trip to Milan.

Great for couples or yourself. The hotel is located near transit lines and can be in walking distance of many restaurants and shops. They have a wonderful Turkish spa that is great And a great breakfast if you opt for it There are stores walking distance and on the weekdays there's a micro farmers market on the next corner to check out. Milano is similar to any gentrified neighborhood with its graffiti but expensive clothing shops. But the food is decent. As you'll find a good deal on food going out. And if your not form Italy. McDonald's is difftent but avoid the pannarozeti( yes I misspelled it ) Staff is awesome and welcoming.

My husband and I didn't even realize this was a Relais & Chateaux property until we arrived. These folks do not have a bad boutique hotel, and Chateau Monfort was no exception. A magical delight. On our flight home from Europe we were going over our fave meals, drinks, sites, and I blurted out "The sleep at Chateau Monfort was the best sleep of the trip!". We both laughed at the ridiculousness of being super pleased with a hotel sleep, but hell, it was an incredible snooze. The hotel is about 15 minutes walking to the duomo, some cute nabes and all of the high-end shopping your credit card can handle. It has beautiful, fairytale inspired rooms, the nicest staff ever, a huge spa and two restaurants. Yes, it is a bit pricy, but there are often deals on expedia.com, etc, and it's oh-so worth it.

Very nice hotel, which is what I expect from a Relais & Chateaux designated property. Located a bit off the beaten path but in a nice neighborhood within a 15-20 minute walk to most places you will visit within Milan and/or accessible by tram, which stops directly across the street from the hotel. I requested and received the Hibiscus room which was uniquely and tastefully furnished along with modern comforts such as rain shower and LCD TV. Very small but functional gym and spa on site. Did not eat or drink at the hotel but they have a beautiful restaurant area along with a very helpful front desk staff. Free wifi and they even have a remote wifi box you can carry with you when you explore the city.

Absolutely special! I loved the idea of a variety of designs for the rooms and the suites! I stayed in a suite which is so amazing and so romantic then I wanted to try the butterfly room and it has its special touch! The hotel has one of the best spas in Milano! The stuff were so nice and friendly. The hotel not that big but it has a very chic and elegant mysterious experience

So we booked a twin room to stay for four days which is not cheap to establish that we have been given a double. Stated that they will separate the beds tonight which was not a great start after the journey was looking forward to showering and freshening up but the shower is very poor and has little pressure. To use the Spa you also have to pay addition fee of €30 which baffles me as I understand if it was a treatment but to use the swimming pool. :/ and overall I think that it is over rated as there are Marks on walls, tiny rooms, little closet space and over priced. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the service is outstanding but the above makes me rate it 4.5* not 5* the hotel itself is beautifully designed and the interior is pretty which is shown in the photos.

I cannot day enough good things about this hotel! We happened to stumble across this gem of a hotel on a British Airways package deal. Everything from the ambiance of the hotel to the staff was impeccable! Upon arrival you are given a welcome drink and biscuits. We were upgrade to a suite with a terrace and were so pleased with the room. I will be staying here again and it is a hotel where you are treated like royalty! It is not a place where there are numerous rooms so you are taken care of quite well. We are already awaiting our next trip and will be staying here again without a doubt!

This place was crazy awesome. The staff were great. The rooms were super clean and the room service was fantastic. Beyond cleaning, they'd also leave a fact sheet indicating the weather for the next day. It was crazy good. The rooms were super fun. I've stayed in some modern hip hotels, some historic / grand hotels, and the various Vegas strip hotels in the United States. This hotel was the best hotel I've ever stayed at ever. The location was great. You're close to the train station, you're right on the tram line, and you're close to the city center.

My Husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip! We did tons of research before finalizing this hotel. Upon arrival, the staff was very welcoming and sweet :) Throughout our stay, the staff was generous, kind and helpful! With that said, we did run into a few issues but management went above and beyond for us to make things right. My Husband and I were impressed with management's interest in our concerns and the eagerness to resolve those concerns to our full satisfaction. Honestly, in a city as commercialized as Milan, we were absolutely stunned to come across this gem of a hotel where guest experience is above all else. They really take an interest in your stay and satisfaction. Aside form their stellar service, the hotel is also centrally located (close to attractions, shopping and public transportation). I definitely recommend this hotel!

Great touches in the details of this hotel. We came over Easter weekend and got to choose a bunny that gave use 30% off a spa treatment. The room was pretty, clean and well appointed with nice toiletries and comfy robes. Service was great and we even got a special Lindt bunny on the eve of Easter.

Stefano, the GM was excellent. Patient, knowledgeable, resourceful and helpful. Martina and Alberto were also exceptional. About 10 minute walk to Center of city. Not an issue as it was good exercise walking off all the calories we ate! Small rooms but had everything you needed. For some odd reason, the closet light didn't work so they tried to repair it for two days but without any success.

We stayed there a couple of years ago. It's divine. I could live in the spa and pool.

Gorgeous Hotel, Gorgeous rooms, Pleasant service! I stayed here with my mother and we were both pleasantly surprised by the room and decor. The location of the hotel is also a plus! The only reason why this is getting 4 stars is because they could improve the somewhat stuffy service at the front desk and the constant insistence I received for one of them to help me with my small luggage case. (I wanted them to help my mom with her case but not mine as it was super manageable...but the insistence was extremely annoying). All in all, the service was pleasant but not friendly so it's a 4 star in total. Might return if I'm back in Milan.

Stayed here on our first stop of our European honeymoon. The rooms have a great vibe. The staff is very friendly. They helped us book our train tickets to Florence. Location is pretty great (about a 15 minute walk to Central Milan and the Duomo).
