Google
The chateau it looks like a manor instead a properly castle. Let’s say different features. The experience itself was very interesting but the tour guide could speak slower and be more clear. A bit intimidating for the tourists. Their location and standards for the wine are great but I found very commercial approach, different than other experiences. Their wines is basically 3 times the price of the other wines in the region and I didn’t find so special as they paint. Again, this is very personal and reflects my opinion.

Google
Beautiful château, good visit with friendly and knowledgeable staff, nicely welcomed upon our arrival. Tasting pours were a bit short when it came to the end of the bottle on our end, it was a little :/ but we enjoyed the wines. Lots of choice in their boutique : souvenirs, wine accessories, etc

This is a very nice vineyard to come and sample some of the best wines in the area. The tour is classy and encompassing. You will get to see the people at work as well as wonderful tour of the grounds. It came recommended to me and it easy to see why you should add this to your list of Bordeaux Chateaus to visit.

Yelp
Did a wine tasting here today. We were luckily at the winery during the harvest and the collecting and sorting of the grapes. We were taken through the entire process from grape sorting to entry in the vats to walking through the barrel room and the bottle storage area. The wine was excellent. We tasted 3 of the same wines from 3 different years. It was a wonderful exercise.

Yelp
My friends and I visited the chateau late April, and did a tour and tasting with Sarah. It was lovely! Located in a stunning area and easy to find. Sarah gave a very informative tour and allowed time for all of our many questions about the wine-making process. I highly recommend this tour and tasting because of its affordable price for everything you get out of it. After the tasting, we each got to keep wine classes from the chateau as well! A lovely place in the Medoc region.

Yelp
The third day of the wife and my tour of Bordeaux wine châteaus continued with a late morning stop at Château Prieuré Lichine. A 4th Growth château of the Margaux appellation, Prieuré Lichine offered the best overall tour experience of our trip. Our tour guide, Ulrich, was fluent in English, exceedingly knowledgeable in Prieuré Lichine's history and operations, and easily the most descriptive and enthusiastic, if not passionate, while leading our tour. He was stellar! The château property was aesthetically beautiful with an interesting, logical blend of the modern with its vintage heritage. Château Prieuré Lichine had a very nice tasting room/wine/gift shop where its wines in a wide range of formats and vintages as well as wine accessories, books, and other souvenirs could be purchased. We had the opportunity to experience a barrel tasting of its 2013 vintage Margaux as well as a barrel tasting of its pre-blend, straight cabernet sauvignon. Our tour culminated with a delicious lunch in the château's "Harvest" dining room where we were served both its white Bordeaux, a 2013 Le Blanc du Château Prieuré Lichine and a vertical of its 2003, 2005, and 2007 margaux. Tasting the wines as a vertical truly highlighted the variances of the same wine between multiple vintages. Our tour of Prieuré Lichine was an enlightening and enjoyable experience. We were made to feel very welcome. While we were on a special tour not available to most of the public, I still highly recommend checking it out. If Ulrich's the one giving you your tour, then you're in for a treat!

Yelp
As an American who loves a good opportunity for some educational day drinking, I jumped at the opportunity to hit the Bordeaux vineyard circuit while visiting France. What a treat to happen upon Château Prieuré-Lichine! Of the dozens on winery/vineyard/brewery/distillery tours I've participated in over the years, this one was by leaps and bounds the most informative, interesting, thought-provoking, and delicious. Tours at Château Prieuré-Lichine are offered both privately and in group format in a variety of languages--our outstanding guide Ana spoke French, English, Spanish, and German as well as a fifth language I'm not nearly cool enough to remember. As a casual wine drinker, I appreciated the format of the mixed group tour which allowed for a terrific Q&A between wine lovers whose palettes were just a hair more sophisticated than the bottom shelf at Trader Joe's that I often frequent. The visit included a tour of the actual vines, the fermentation process, the barrel room, the château grounds, and a tasting of two wines in mighty fine glassware, all for 10€. Truly the best and well worth a visit!

Yelp
I was working on a cruise ship which docked in the middle of Downtown Bordeaux on a Saturday. I was shocked to find so many vineyards nearby are closed on Saturdays...but not Chateau Prieure' Lichine! When I inquired about a tour and tasting, they promptly responded to my emails and booked myself and 5 coworkers on their last english tour of the day at 4:30pm. We got a taxi van up to the Cahteau and had a great time taking pictures with the vines out front while waiting for our tour. Our tour leader, Ana, was thorough and informative and answered everyone's questions. The tasting at the end of 2 of their wines was more then generous, and their store featured many different wines and accessories. And the whole thing was only 10 euro While we originally ended up here by default for it being open on a Saturday, we could not have been more pleased with our experience and were very happy we chose this Chateau to visit.

Yelp
We had tried one of their wines at lunch, so we came here after, and they were nice about letting us walk in and sample without an appointment. They also have a gift shop where they sell lots of wine accessories, which reminded me a little of Napa - more commercial than some of the other smaller chateaus. There was a big Viking tour group there, but one of the younger interns still spent a solid amount of time with us, which was really educational and nice. The whole experience was very unpretentious.

Yelp
This is a review of the tour itself on 10/13. The wine I thought was more like 4 stars. The tour was awesome. We had a younger guide by the name of Sara but if you get the pleasure of participating in a tour with her don't let her age fool you. She knows everything about everything. She took us through the history of the Bordeaux area and wine making roots and answered every question we had like it was written on the back of her hand. Not only of the Chateau Prieure Lichine and the famous Alexis Lichine of the priory which the chateau takes its name but of the entire region. She went over the history of the chateau classifications and the politics of it all as well with older and newer wine makers. The details of the harvests and the visiting worker program. Extremely knowledgeable about the wine making process, the differences between the qualities of each varietal and the effect of them in different growing areas. She even made it understandable to non-wine conoisseurs but could bring up the level of the conversation to more knowledgeable folk. I can't say enough about the guide. The whole operation was very professional and culminated in an impressive wine tasting display. The wine itself was definitely good but not outstanding. Maybe it had to do more with the 2007, 2008 vintages we tried. Maybe the 2005 would knocked our socks off. If you make it to Bordeaux, you HAVE to go here for the tour.
