Château Saint-Jean

One of the best Service experiences I have ever heard in a hotel. Every single person serving us did everything they possibly could were friendly and professional. Highly recommended for Service. We are in the bistro and the food was lovely. The entrance to the bistro could do with a little bit more sense of occasion. It’s set in a kind of park area and very quiet peaceful.

We were there in order to celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of my parents. We spent 3 fantastic days. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the breakfast on the terrace in the morning is a great moment, the team is absolutely great and was able to answer all our requests (including the set-up of a meeting room to be able to watch a soccer game with teh whole family). The 'La Chapelle' restaurant is terrific. They have 1 star Michelin but the chef can certainly ask for a sceond one ! We also tested the 'Bistrot St Jean' which is excellent (we had a very nice dinner there on the Sunday evening).

This is a beautiful Chateaux with two wonderful restaurants and particularly good facilities. This hotel is absolutely immaculate and a huge amount of attention has been taken with the overall design which we loved! The staff went above and beyond to ensure they could make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Bravo team Saint -Jean!

Second time we have stayed here. Wonderful service in every respect. One of our party had a health issue in the restaurant and Pascal gave tremendous support. He gave absolute priority to helping us deal with this situation. A wonderful human being!

I know Montluçon is not a tourist destination per say but if you find yourself crossing france and wonder where to make a stop, i highly recommend this place. It is by far the best hotel in the center of France, Lyon region included. First of all, the hotel is located next to a park, perfect for a stroll after your meal and the area is very calm so you are not bothered by any external noise. -The rooms are very new, modern, and super comfy. The aircon is very quiet and the bed is so comfortable it is hard to leave in the morning. -Service is absolutely superb. Whether it is at the reception, the valet or the restaurant you wont be disappointed. The restaurant has small menu but the food is exquisite. Breakfast buffet has pretty much everything you expect from a 5 star hotel. Why does this pearl finds itself in Montluçon? Well the GM will tell you all about it but lets say the landlord also own La Reserve in St tropez and you can feel it is the same standard, which is upheld.

We only spent one night here on our way further south. Service was incredible from when we arrived (in the pouring rain, the porter brought the trolley to our car with an umbrella, got my wife and daughter in and dry and helped me to sort out the onsite car charger (11kw ac, can pay contactless)). We used the spa facilities (gorgeous small inside pool, excellent steam room) and ate in the Michelin star restaurant where the food and service where exemplary, and the setting - a 12th century converted chapel - truly magical. Special mention to the barman who made a massive effort to looked after us and our 10 year old daughter. Standard room was also very spacious for 3 including with the sofa bed out. All in all we left thoroughly refreshed having had a lovely short stay, with an incredible meal thrown in for good measure!

A beautiful hotel, well equipped rooms, a fabulous swimming pool and above all friendly, helpful and efficient staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. We had a fabulous stay. The old part of the hotel is lovely but the more modern elements are linked to it seamlessly. The public spaces have great works of art and the bar does fabulous cocktails!

The hotel was beautiful and spotless. The food was exceptional as were everyone of the staff. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
