Easy access off the highway. Spacious rooms and clean. Real ceramic plates and stainless steel cutlery at a served buffet breakfast. This is increasingly rare and was really nice. Plus the Incredible espresso bar. No pool but the rest of the amenities and service make up for that. Highly recommend.

This is one of the few hotels which I slept a whole night till my phone ring. I woke up full energy. The reason? Quite, without the Hotel common buzzing noise. Accurate thermostat, home feel temp. Best of quality mattress, I want to know its model I will change mine. Welcoming and timely service. I will try other hotel brands under it

The staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean. The addition of an in-room Nespresso machine as well as the Nespresso commercial grade machine with breakfast is a very nice touch. We did not want the room serviced on day 2 and left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. There was a note left to indicate that the maid did not service because of the sign but we should feel free to call if we required any service. The lady serving breakfast is such a delight! We had a lovely stay!

We have stayed here regularly for years and absolutely love it. Staff are so nice and attentive. Beds are INSANELY comfortable. Rooms are clean and spacious. All around my favourite hotel I’ve ever stayed at and that’s why we always come back!

I will give detailed descriptions/ information on all my ratings. Rooms got a 4 out of 5 simply because they don't have any microwaves in them. Not any if the rooms I've been in anyways. I heard the do in some rooms. Just not the ones I've been placed in. The service got a 5 star rating for the staff going above and beyond for me. Last Thursday, once i arrived at the hotel, my reservation wasn't in. My people forgot to make the call. So, being a wicked snow storm outside and being well last 11pm, they booked me for an over night stay with no money down. Considering I don't have a credit card. They had absolutely no problem doing that for me. As I got it all figured out the next afternoon. Everything went excellent. The location is where they describe it to be. Walking distance to the TD station. Close to uptown Saint John and to gas station stores. The reason I gave it a 3 out of 5 rating is because if the many homeless that live right there by the hotel. Right across the street they had tents pictured. And even more on the other side of the highway. Honestly, I couldn't believe how much homeless there now is. I used to live in that town over 10 years ago. And, you would never see things like tents set up around with tarps and campers under the bridges/ off ramps. It actually kind of broke my heart a little. But, 8 guess it is what it is. So, all together I give this hotel a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. Because, last but not least, the hotel does not have a swimming pool and/ or hot tub in it. Which is very, very strange if you ask me. Shouldn't ever hotel, especially as fancy as the Chateau Saint John, have a swimming pool in it? Shoot, even the days Inn Fredericton had a pool and hot tub in it. And that's pretty run down with prostitutes working out of it...which is my favorite hotel to stay at while I'm in Fredericton by the way. Next would be the Fredericton Inn. That's a nice one in my opinion. Especially being located right next to the mall. If you never stayed there before, check it out. It's close to everything. And I mean everything you need to go to in the city.

Yelp
If you're looking for a hotel that makes you feel like royalty, stay here! The room makes you feel regal the second you walk in! The bed was extremely comfortable & the pillows were really plush! The bathroom was so extremely clean as was the room! The breakfast was eggs, sausage, bacon, ham, toast, muffins, english muffins, juices & really good coffee! One of the best restaurants I've ever stayed at. The staff was also very accommodating & kind! Highly highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Easy check-in. Room was spacious and clean. However, there were four lamps in the room and only the one by the bed worked. The one by the desk was unplugged. I plugged it in and it still did not work. Room was too dark to use desk and the chair and the desk was the cheapest office chair they probably could get. It felt like it might break when I sat in it. Very rickety. Bathroom was very clean. Disappointing to find all toiletries were made in China. Breakfast was good. Coffee was decent. Appreciated the indoor parking as it was snowing in the am.

Yelp
Easy to find when entering St John, it kinds of looms up on a hill. We found a parking spot and checked in with ease. The front desk staff was friendly and helped with many of our questions. Our rooms were set up in a studio/suite format, with a big queen sized bed and plenty of extra room for a small couch, table and TV. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom was also roomy and shiny clean, with plenty of extra towels. Nice! At breakfast in the morning, there was coffee and juices, cereal and breads to toast, apples and bananas, hard boiled or scrambled eggs, waffles, and bacon or sausage. There were also lots of comfortable tables to eat at. Check out was an easy breeze. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Up until today, my partner and I had the best time exploring all over New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, staying everywhere from Airbnb's to lovely B&Bs and camping under the stars. We visited and supported many restaurants and establishments. For our last night we decided to get a hotel in St. John within a short drive from the ferry. I've stayed in a Wyndham hotel before and had a great experience; and this hotel offered a bar - one of my favs!!! The staff at first were great, two staff members mentioned the hotel bar would be open until midnight. Great ! We went to dinner- albeit the hotel wasn't really walking distance to other spots, this wasn't the hotels fault . Came back and was told at 8pm the bar wasn't open due to no staff being available. Even though LITERALLY the front desk person , and another staff member, said it would be open. We were pretty bummed and decided to go with a bottle of wine.. what should have been $10 was $25. The front desk recommended a real shitty dive bar we didn't want to go to at all. Got upstairs to our room where we noticed a huge black grease stain on the floor outside, all of the lamps unplugged in our room, the air wouldn't turn off. Decided to look for a movie to watch but we didn't want to pay $25 fucking dollars for it. The last straw was to watch something on my laptop ; wifi was free but BARELY working . When I called about this, the front desk clerk was absolutely less than apologetic . "Yeah, people have complained , it's just worse if you're higher up in the building." (We we're on the 4th floor). Now I'm not honestly one to complain. But this was a last straw, especially the total lack of apology. I expressed how disappointed we were in this stay and she didn't seem to care and kept saying "ok" after every word I said. She offered to move us but it was 10pm at this point and I didn't want to deal with that. Definitely just go somewhere else, NOT here. I've never stayed in such a worse hotel .

Yelp
Rooms are clean, right off exit so convenient. No pool. Breakfast included but toaster broken-only cooked half of bread slice. It was not on bagel mode either

Yelp
Close to the highway and downtown with super comfortable beds in very clean rooms. Would stay here again. We didn't try the breakfast as we left very early in the morning.

Yelp
I am very glad this hotel has been added to the Choice Hotels chain as part of their Ascend collection. This hotel is an especially good deal if you are redeeming Choice Rewards points. The rooms are spacious and well-lit, with thermostat control and large bathrooms. The beds are extremely comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included and features the usual pastries, cereals, coffee, juice, etc., but also sausage, bacon, eggs, and a crock pot of beans! This hotel also had something I have never seen at any other hotel - at least yet - a pancake machine! If I'm in St. John again I'll definitely stay here!

Yelp
I've stayed at the Chateau Saint John a number of times over the last few years and it is my "go to" hotel in Saint John. It is clean, comfortable and the staff is great - from the front desk to the housekeeping crew - they all are very friendly and very helpful. While a car is necessary to get to some of the outlying areas, you're only about a 30 minutes walk from the uptown area of Saint John where shops and restaurants are located. I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a good comfortable stay that doesn't empty your wallet in the process.

Yelp
We rode up to Canada on our motorcycles from Boston Massachusetts. Château Sainte Jean was our first stop. The hotel is beautiful inside and the funny thing is is they sound like they are American. I was trying to speak French and they spoke English and I laughed it was so funny. The bartender is super cool he is amazing. If you get a chance to go the rooms are absolutely beautiful and clean and roomy definitely worth the money,And very reasonable.

Yelp
Great Hotel! Accomodated a group of 40 people coming from Boston, MA USA with EASE! Recently renovated and extremely accomodating! I dont know much about other hotels in this area, but there can't be any nicer than this. NOTHING bad to say from any people in our group! Thanks again!

Yelp
Outstanding genuine maritime hospitality!! Checking in after our long late night flight from Edmonton was quick and easy as they could tell we were a bit weary. The front staff are amazing. This is day one, but this hotel is exactly as advertised and spotless. Breakfast is included and is the standard hotel type breakfast of scrambled eggs and other hot items. Coffee is good. The difference is that the staff here are constantly asking if they can be of service. I'm used to being served with staff with their head in their Iphones. This service is refreshing. This hotel is an easy exit off the main hiway and walking distance to downtown.

Yelp
Specious rooms, great facilities The hotel is basically the newest in Saint John I think and everything from lobby through rooms, facilities and more will give you a great relaxing feeling. Stuff are friendly, rooms are very nice and large, free parking and relaxed atmosphere. You need a car to uptown and to get here. Free continental breakfast is ok, but defiantly need an upgrade.

Yelp
Very clean rooms at a very reasonable rate. The breakfast was kind of gross (we all had rumbly stomachs after) but hey, free is free right?
