Got recommended this place by a friend that lives in the area. The food was not bad at all but the service we received from the dark-haired male server with a black moustache was abysmal. We arrived at the restaurant and asked for a table and he told us to wait. Whilst we wait, two different groups arrive after us and he comes back to ask them how many people and lead them to their tables as we’re waiting, so I remind him we had arrived first and he makes up an excuse about “sorting out the tables”, and finishes taking the other group to their seats before finally leading us to the counter seats in the dark area of the restaurant - I’ll admit it was busy but the groups waiting in front of us didnt have reservations either and got table seats instead. After we finished our meals, I am looking around trying to get a server’s attention for a few minutes, before my partner calls out to him to get his attention as he is passing by so we can get the bill. He completely ignores us, no eye contact or nod, walks past us just to stop and look around the other room and then comes back to ask us what we wanted. He says he will get the bill and then immediately walks back to the front door to greet the newly arrived customers and takes them to their tables, and he does that once again with the just-arrived group. We think he will then finally bring us our bill, but he decides to fill a jug of water and stroll around the restaurant and chitchat with the other serves for a couple minutes only to finally put it down at the kitchen counter where no one is sitting and finally get us the bill. Then he never actually shows us the bill he is holding folded up in his hand, and when I ask him to take out the service charge he says “sorry for the lack of service guys” in a half-heartedly manner. He never offered us the receipt. Ive been to several restaurants during peak hours, but Ive never encountered a server who purposely refused to serve us even when visiting 2 or 3 star rated restaurants. It was the sort of customer service I’d expect from a McDonald’s. Not coming here again.
