I came here on a Friday around noon with my boyfriend. The place was pretty busy, so we did have to wait a little bit for our sandwiches to come out, but it was worth it. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, and the ones we got were tasty and filling (ended up packing half for later). The location is also centrally located with many cute stores to visit all around.

Wide variety of food, beverages, and snacks for all ages and palates! Cute, beachy interior with a local flair. Standard breakfast sandwiches come on the BEST Portuguese muffins (and unlike many other cafes and breakfast spots... they use REAL eggs). Lunch sandwiches have excellent portion sizes. Quite an impressive range of ingredients and breads to choose from.. oh... and you can make your own panini if you want! You can take your food to go or enjoy on the back patio, front porch, or inside the store. So many dining options! Great for a beach day, during a stroll down Main Street, or just to satiate your breakfast or lunch cravings!

Google
Good sandwiches, albeit a bit expensive. There is a very nice space with tables to the back of the store. Quiet an comfortable. Good place to stop for a quick lunch on your visit to Chatham.

It was my fist time at the Cape and I went to the cafe for breakfast. I was confused by part of the menu and asked one of the employees. I asked her name, Hannah, she was EXTREMELY helpful. She really makes local places like this amazing. An amazing employee, amazing sandwich, and amazing cafe!!!

Google
Situated right in the middle of main st Chatham this place was a great disappointment.. we stopped in for snacks .. the staff was friendly but the food was terrible .. the ice tea was the only thing that was palatable .. we tossed the other 2 stuff we got before we left the place … frozen watermelon lemonade had no flavor just very sweet pink colored sugar water with crushed ice .. the pistachio muffin was yuck with strong artificial taste of the pistachio extract and green food color .. no idea how this place has a 4.2 star rating .. will not be back.

Google
Quaint little place on Main St. Nice selection of coffee and pastries. I got hot apple cider which was very good. They also have sandwiches and a room out back with extra seating. Outdoor seating also available for warmer weather.

Google
Went in for lunch. They serve breakfast sandwiches til 11am. We got the quirky mermaid and the riptide. Both of which were amazing. The prices were good. The coffee was good too. I enjoyed the Covid precautions in the shop. The back deck had a cute little outdoor patio for eating and picnic tables farther back as well.

Google
Loved this place! The coffee and food was great! Be sure to get into the right line as they have a line for coffee and bakery items and another line for food items that are custom-made. The custom-made items took longer, obviously but if you’ve never been here, it can be a bit confusing.

Yelp
Breakfast sandwiches are awesome, highly recommended. Yelp made me add filler even though I said what I had to say.

Tom H.

Yelp
Cool little coffee shop right near my hotel. Stopped in two mornings for coffee and pastries and they were excellent. Very friendly woman working the counter, was really good.

Semra E.

Yelp
This is a great quick & easy solution for those needing a little food to go, or if you need a quick lunch. Their selections are made fresh, they have a cute side patio in addition to a larger one that's fully covered in the back that's worth it on hot sunny days (as it happened to be for us when we went).

Lindsey R.

Yelp
Good spot for a quick breakfast and coffee. We stayed in town and stopped in twice for breakfast. Coffee is self serve and there's a separate line just for coffee. Pastries were just OK. Skip the scone. Breakfast sandwich is similar to an egg McMuffin. I was thinking it would be more of a scrambled egg, my mistake. Staff was fine but not overly friendly or helpful. They charge a service charge for cards better to pay cash.

Shoshana F.

Yelp
The best - they have delicious coffee and grab and go food. I love going here for lunch and breakfast. They can get busy but the line moves fast and all the staff are young and so nice! I come here every day that I am in Chatham.

Jenny N.

Yelp
The food here is good, but the process of ordering is slightly confusing. During peak times it gets SUPER busy. The sandwiches are good though!

Maureen D.

Yelp
Very disappointed! No prices listed on anything! No personality on either employee encounter! Bland egg sandwich and pastry too petite for price, possibly day old? 4% credit card!

Babs C.

Yelp
Chatham Cookware Cafe used to have the best sandwiches chock full of protein, i.e. turkey, roast beef, etc. This week, I ordered a roast beef sandwich wrap and basically got a lettuce sandwich with one very thin slice of roast beef. It was chock full of lettuce, but if the owner thought I didn't notice, I did. I won't be back anytime soon to order a sandwich and get ripped off.

Rebecca K.

Yelp
Cham cookware was recommended to me by a local as a great go to for sandwiches. The menu is very robust and I had quite a difficult time choosing what to order. They were also extremely busy it's always a good idea to call into this location. I got the riptide which was turkey with dill Havarti and a cranberry chipotle mayo with bacon on seven grain bread. My overall impression was the sandwich was overwhelmed by the cranberry. I couldn't really taste the other flavors. I would try something different on my next visit. The outdoor seating is so nice and expensive. I really enjoyed sitting outside and people watching.

Yelp
This place was packed! So chose the quick grab and go sandwhich for me and the kids. The pre-prepared sandwhiches were fresh and delicious. My daughter enjoyed her roast beef- the flavor combo of the roasted peppers, lettuce, tomato, onions, roast beef, and herbed spread was perfect. She also loved that it came on marble rye. I chose the chicken salad which was also fresh and the perfect thing for a hot summer day. The tables out back in the shade were lovely - it was nice to get off the sidewalk and away from the crowds and just chill. We also had a sesame bagel, which when toasted with butter (a little heavy branded on the butter), was reminiscent of buttered popcorn- not in a bad way. It was more of a Montreal style bagel... a little more dense which I like, but my daughter prefers the the airier ny style. We finished off with a pastry - a kouign amann... which looked amazing, my daughter loved it, but i found it a little disappointing.

Melissa G.

Yelp
The cutest and easy lunch/breakfast shop to stop in if you are staying or visiting in Chatham. We stopped in while waking around. It was busy which I knew was a good sign that it's somewhere good to eat and I was happy with the choice to try it. Great variety of pastries or sweet treats, coffee and sandwich options. They have THE best cheese danish I have ever had, cookies were huge and coffee selection was perfect. We grabbed lunch here as well. The sandwiches were a little pricey but delicious. I tried the "Ding" chicken salad which was so light and tasty. The staff was helpful and even though it was busy we did not wait a long time to check out. There is a very small section of tables and and outdoor bench to sit and eat.

Jeanine L.

Yelp
We are in town for Chatham's first night and got coffee and a bite to eat here two of the mornings we were in town. Everything was good, probably the best thing our group had was the blueberry muffin and the "hi ho Joe". coffee. The spinach & feta croissant looked good but the ham & cheese one tasted much better. The help left a little to be desired, they had to be reminded several times what was ordered from the pastry case but overall we'd go back.

Yelp
I spent two days in Chatham staying at the Wayside Inn. Continental breakfast was included there however since it was table-service, I wanted some thing a little more casual. Headed right next-door to Chatham cookware Café. I was pleasantly surprised at all they had to offer when looking for a quick meal. I ordered the sunrise breakfast sandwich two days in a row and it was simple and delicious. I had brewed tea and their bottled fresh squeezed orange juice. My kids had croissants and muffins. We liked everything we had. The service was slow at the register but I'm giving five stars for the breakfast sandwich. Seemed to have locals coming in which I take as a good sign. Would return!

Ellen G.

Yelp
Everything here is fresh and delicious. The best baked goods in Chatham, bar none! The sandwiches are huge and delicious. The "Buoy" is the best tuna sandwich I've ever had!

Hillary E.

Yelp
In NYC these small independent markets, some consider high end, sell their pasta salads for a realistic price. Let's make a comparison. No, why not take advantage of those who, should I continue?

Marisa C.

Yelp
Chatham Cookware Cafe is a mistake I make once a year. At this point, I'll acknowledge that I deserve less than five stars for repeating it, but after this weekend I feel irresponsible not warning others to find a sandwich elsewhere. On Sunday I ordered two sandwiches over the phone and was told they would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived 40 minutes later to a very crowded store, and walked up to the sandwich counter where an employee who looked like she wanted to be anywhere else directed me to the normal line (with everyone who hadn't ordered). I waited for 20 minutes to get to the front of the line, where I paid and reiterated that I had ordered in advance. I then waited an additional 30 minutes for my sandwiches... a full 90 minutes after my order for those counting. During this time, I checked in periodically with the staff who seemed entirely indifferent. I understand that staffing is tough right now. I understand that sometimes you over promise and underdeliver. But this isn't new.... It's how they were before COVID, supply chain bottlenecks, and staffing shortages. I have an infant, and by the time I got my sandwiches, I had to skip the beach and go straight back home for the next nap. Oh... and the sandwiches aren't good. Unless you feel it's appropriate to pay $13 for Pepperidge Farms bread with kind of deli meat that comes pre sliced in those containers that look like they've been at the grocery store since the last president was in office. The reason you buy a sandwich instead of making it yourself is because it's either more convenient or better than you could make your own. They miss on both fronts. As we drove away I saw a hot dog guy, and I got borderline emotional that I didn't just opt for that....

Yelp
A real treat!! The gluten free offerings at Chatham Cookware Cafe, where I visited twice on my most recent cape cod stay. The GF blueberry muffin and GF chocolate chip cookie were excellent. The GF brownie was moist and tasty, but closer to chocolate cake than brownie in texture. The double chocolate muffin was also very good.

Taylor S.

Yelp
Amazingggg the chicken salad IS THE BEST EVER! Many salad/sandwich/soups and pastries to choose from. It's a must if you're in Chatham!

Debi R.

Yelp
Stopped in for a sandwich and baked goods. I had the riptide sandwich which was a panini with turkey, bacon, cheese and a cranberry sour cream spread. The bread was delicious, crispy with a slight cinnamon flavor. The spread was so good. I would definitely order this "large shareable" sandwich again. The potato salad was also very good. Tuna Salad and Egg salad looked good. You can pick up the salads to go and make your own with bread from the bakery. My favorite baked good was the Kouign-Amann (butter cake). This could possibly be the best dessert I've never heard of. Try it!!

Lucy S.

Yelp
On vacation we stopped into the Chatham Cookware Cafe for a sandwich because we wanted something quick and easy. The descriptions of the sandwiches sounded delicious and they were made to order. Unfortunately, the sandwich I choose, The Binnacle, didn't have much of the main ingredient in it, hummus. It was described as hummus with shredded carrots, tomato, lettuce, sprouts and onion. There was more than enough onion, tons of shredded carrots, but I am guessing maybe a teaspoon of the hummus. Very disappointing. Also my friend ordered the Spinnaker, and she said there was barely any hummus in hers. The food was fresh, but missing a main ingredient, which is that part I wanted most of!

Hannah S.

Yelp
Contrary to yelp user "Ted", wait times are completely normal for summer season as they are doing the best they can and everyone is short staffed. Did you forget to pack your patience? Prices are very fair considering the portions, especially for the fresh pastries and huge freshly made sandwiches. Love the gale force. Great staff and great food, never any complaints. People: Don't want to be nice to workers or don't want wait times? Don't come to Cape Cod.

Emily L.

Yelp
Awesome place to go for coffee, baked goods and sandwiches. They have about 7-8 different kinds of coffee for you to choose and even frozen drinks such as watermelon lemonade and Arnold Palmer. There is usually a line and it moves pretty quickly. It's usually pretty crowded but I can definitely see why!

Darcie M.

Yelp
Rude Customer Service. No one could tell us when we walked in and lingered around the sandwich counter reading the menu board that they stop making sandwiches. There was a sign that said sandwiches were not made 30 minutes before closing. According to Yelp it stated they were open until 4pm but the lady working there said they close at 3pm. Basically the two ladies working there wanted to leave early and not make any sandwiches. So we resorted to buying pre made sandwiches and salads out of the refrigerator case. $12 for a Greek salad with one measly tiny container of dressing and all of the iceberg lettuce was red and wilted. Lady who checked us out was like whatever - take it or leave it. We should have known this place was no good. A man in his 50's wasn't happy either and we overheard the lady with the brown ponytail how many jobs she ever had and she said this was the only place she ever worked and he said well your establishment can definitely improve. After spending slightly over $100 for a late lunch they charged a 4% surcharge for a credit card transaction to gauge a little more. Oh and if you need a bathroom after driving for a while in the Cape they don't have one. You have to walk across the street for a public restroom. Advice - Don't stop here PERIOD! Rude workers with Snotty and elitist attitudes. For that matter skip Chatham. Town looks cute but has an upity vibe. We'll go back to Provincetown where everyone we encountered was friendly, nice and offered kind customer service.

Jeanmarie M.

Yelp
My husband and I were spending the weekend in the Cape celebrating our honeymoon and stumbled across this place after many of the nearby restaurants were closed due to the 4th of July. They were friendly and fast. There portoguese rolls are amazing!

Beth M.

Yelp
Breakfast is great with muffins including the French Breakfast Muffin...my personal favorite. For lunch there are soups and sandwiches. It is my go to stop every morning after my walk through Chatham. ANd, on the weekends and in the summer the parade of old cars parked in front of the Chatham Cookware is just wonderful to watch! Don't be fooled by the name "Cookware"...this is a great bakery and breakfast/lunch spot to eat there (in the back outside or in the front area) OR just to grab and go. -Beth

E S.

Yelp
This is a lovely cafe with a diverse menu, good coffee, friendly staff, and wonderful outdoor seating. They did a really nice job throughout the Summer despite being short staffed. They shut down for a bit when they could not find workers, a real challenge for many businesses in Chatham this year, but opened back up. I would highly recommend this Chatham Cookware Cafe to anyone living in or visiting Chatham.

John B.

Yelp
Decent sandwich, mine was names 'Buoy' in the maritime theme...basically it was Tuna, dressing, on whole wheat bread - priced at $8.25 which is neither especially great value nor overpriced given the location. Iced coffee wasn't the best I've had (far from it). Overall the location (Chatham main st, and the garden setting to eat) elevates it to 3 stars.

Samantha M.

Yelp
Great for breakfast!! Went there two mornings in a row because it was so good. The bagels and breakfast sandwiches are awesome, and the pastries are the cherry on top. Highly recommend for a quick breakfast.

Katy G.

Yelp
Get their breakfast sandwich on a Portuguese muffin and you won't be disappointed! Also love their chicken salad wrap

Philip M.

Yelp
Nice space, good coffee, and it appears to have nice baked goods and creative sandwiches. It has WAY more seating than you would expect to see in a Main Street storefront. I had a sort of barbecue chicken panini. It was pretty good but nothing special, and certainly not worth $8. It's also yet another Chatham business staffed by miserable high school/college students. I guess I don't know what I expect from such a seasonal place as Chatham, and this isn't a problem exclusive to CCC, but these kids need some happy pills or something. At any rate, good coffee! I'd be willing to give it one more shot.

A.J. R.

Yelp
Don't let the name fool you. This spot is a cafe serving coffee, breakfast sandwiches and pastries, ranging from cookies to Cro- nuts and Kouign-Amann. However, if you are coming here for breakfast, note that if you have a nut allergy, you can't get any pastries. You are only limited to the breakfast sandwiches (Which are quite good) but they use the same baking sheet to bake there Reese's peanut butter cups cookies as their nut free pastries. So if you have a nut allergy, be prepared to get a breakfast sandwich.

Ashley C.

Yelp
Such a huge selection of hot and cold sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, drinks, pastries, and snacks. A really comforting place with a lot of choices, good service, and closes around 4pm

Katie M.

Yelp
I went to this place because I was hungry but left unpleased and disgusted. Very rude customer service girl got my muffin and then ignored me to go talk to friends behind the counter. I get back to my work place and see multiple different hairs in my muffin so I go back and tell them and the same girl who didn't help me the first time just says oh and asks if I want another one no I'll give your money back no apology. Definitely do not recommend and definitely will not be going back.

Jeffrey D.

Yelp
Breakfast sandwiches were delicious. However the bagels were hard as a rock and other pastries were stale. Disappointing.

Kristen S.

Yelp
Stayed next door at the Wayside Inn in June and this seemed to be our only option for coffee before 8 am. They open at 630. My husband ran next door to grab us coffee on Saturday morning since the proprieter has an unwelcoming sign on the front door, "Please no baby carriages." The coffee was watered down and weak. I couldn't even get down a cup. Hubby also ordered a breakfast sandwich and Chatham bun, which he said was OK (he saw a van delivering the baked goods that morning, so their pastries are NOT homemade). We didn't return on Sunday and instead walked the extra half mile to Cumberland Farms for better tasting, cheaper coffee, where we weren't discouraged from bringing our baby carriage (and there was ample space for it). Note to the owner-Your sign isn't going to deter the rude people who will attempt to bring their baby carriage in a small cafe. It DOES, however, insult people like us, who wouldn't be so inconsiderate as to cram our baby carriage into your small shop/cafe. Guess this is an OK spot for the locals, but travelers with kids should AVOID.

Sarah M.

Yelp
We used to come here every summer for lunch. I am disappointed and we will not be returning as it is no longer a family friendly spot with the quality I had come to expect. The sign out front reads "No Carriages Inside" - no big deal but odd we had brought strollers in the past. I go to bring my daughter to the restroom (one of the reasons it was a go-to was easy restroom access) it's been sealed off and closed - I'm told without apology or explanation "go use a public rest room". There is no kids menu listed but they used to have it? We order 4 sandwiches (one of which was a kids pb&j) bag of chips and two drinks the total was $53 not insane but surprisingly higher than I had remembered. I asked for two plastic cups and straws in order to split my kid's drink and was given a dirty look and then told they were straw free, I am all about moral high ground but this ain't it - buy the paper straws. My veggie wrap only filled 1/4 of the wrap and had maybe a teaspoon of hummus completely flavorless - for $10 I expect more. My son's pb&j had large holes in the bread which for a little kid is just the excuse they need not to eat it. Expensive, unwelcoming, not family friendly, no facilities for patrons, rude service - go elsewhere!

Teresa S.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick pick-me-up while shopping along Main St. Quite the variety of coffee options on coffee bar. I combined a couple - Delicious! I also totally treated myself to a homemade coconut macaroon. It was by far the largest and tastiest I've ever experienced...and I love coconut! Definitely a place to take in while visiting Chatham!

Ted P.

Yelp
I don't know what the problem is with this place. The staff needs to be reminded the summer tourists are what keeps the place in business. Unreasonable wait times, very rude cashiers, and overpriced food. The whole vibe creates an atmosphere of unfriendly clientele and a bad experience. Clean it up!

jon l.

Yelp
Although you might not know it by the name or appearance, this is a great place to stop if you in town and looking for a quick, simple breakfast or salad or sandwich for lunch. They have a crowd in the summer and seating is very limited, so you may not get a table. If you are looking to take something home or to the beach, this is perfect. I recommend trying some pastries which are very tasty as well.

Herr K.

Yelp
Baby K. and I went for lunch. All good. Solid comfort food with the Mac and Cheese and the turkey sandwich called the Gale Force: Turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato. It's a nice place for coffee and pastries too. Never lets you down. Sitting on the front porch and drinking coffee should be included on the list of Chatham must-do's.

C H.

Yelp
Had lunch from here twice this summer. One time the order was wrong which was very disappointing. The other time was fine. Chicken salad is delicious. Other sandwiches were good too. Cookies are great! Staff is showing the stress of the summer--not friendly or obliging. But that's probably due in part to the difficulty presented by covid summer. We will return.

Mari C.

Yelp
Always good coffee and ok breakfast sandwiches. The muffins, scones and other breakfast bakery fare is their best Some concern over cleanliness and attn to detail in Covid time. No unused pens to sign credit card slips; girl at register seemed oblivious to this even when reminded. Also trash over flowering to the floor where you add milk and sugar; this was at 8am! No one seemed to notice though they worked just feet away. Disappointing for such a popular place.

Janice S.

Yelp
Was charged $20 for a gluten free sandwich!!!! What the heck??? My friend got a sandwich and a root beer for $13.97. They rang up my order next. Just a sandwich. A sandwich - ya know 2 pieces of bread and deli meat. No drink, nothing, just a sandwich. Cashier said $20. Excuse me? 20.00. Yes, there is an upcharge for gluten free. A $10 up charge for gluten free (don't know what the upcharge was, just assumption because f friends order of $13.97) I eat here about 2x ayear when shopping in Chatham and never been charged prices like that. I'm out.

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Great sandwiches and friendly atmosphere. Very excited to bring some gluten-free baked goods back to my Celiac son.

D L.

Yelp
Cute place, for sure. Great outdoor seating great for family or couple, very quaint. My family has been making this a for sure stop in Chatham every year. Food is always spot on, great sandwiches fresh. Things seem to of changed a bit when I came in today. The very friendly nature from years ago, has been lifted a bit? I decided to go for a kale salad which was pre made in the fridge. Nothing special, a handful of kale a few cranberries. And a side of dressing. For eight dollars. I then asked the girls behind the counter if I could please get a scoop of chicken salad on top of the salad, and she said we won't do that anymore. Won't do that anymore? Just put a scoop of chicken salad which I would happily of paid for on top of my salad? She said you have to buy them separate. So guess what, I had to buy a seven dollar small container of chicken salad and an eight dollar kale salad, making my salad and my lunch today $17? Are you kidding? When I asked for dressing, she handed me a packet of dressing you normally get at McDonalds.... Girls behind the counter rude, still good food, decided to stay here and eat my lunch because my family did. But for the first time in years, I can honestly say I won't be back, thumbs down on your attitude. If I wanted an $18 salad I would have gone to Chatham Bars Inn .....

Anthony R.

Yelp
Excellent food ,very unique sandwich combinations that need to be tried and a friendly cozy environment.

Amy U.

Yelp
Fabulous coffee! Enjoyed a quick break here during our shopping trip up and down Main Street. Cute area in front to relax and watch the people go by. Would definitely have lunch here next time we're visiting the Cape.

Mary K M.

Yelp
Let me explain my love affair with the salty llama sandwich. This sandwich is amazing. It's considered a favorite for a reason! For the couple o years I've been coming to chatham, I've always stopped a got a salty llama sandwich (sometimes twice in a day). The chicken salad is quite possibly the BEST chicken salad I've gotten in my life time. It's ALWAYS good no matter what. With this salad obsession and leaving the MA area and moving to Philly, my dad has shipped over tubs of this salad knowing how much I love it. ITS THAT GOOD. Seriously- just try it. I'm obsessed and will continuously try to remake it despite never coming close to its perfection.

Steph G.

Yelp
Wanted a quick healthy and affordable lunch on a Saturday afternoon shopping in Chatham and this fit the bill nicely. Sandwiches are fresh and they have interesting combinations. The Spinnaker and the No Wake were great choices paired with Cape Cod chips. There was good seating at the end of summer but i could see this being very crowded in peak season. Staff was friendly and service was fairly quick.
