We had a great experience at Chatham Tides recently and look forward to coming back! The room was perfect for what we needed, large, great ac and quiet. We were looking for a dog friendly place with easy beach access and this was the perfect find. All the other guests were really nice and we had no issues during our stay. The beach access was ideal and the hotel had beach chairs available to checkout, bikes and Adirondack chairs on the beach. Very family friendly location as well. To be honest, we were expecting much besides a nice beach and this place far surpassed our expectations.

My husband and I traveled to Chatham Tides based off of a blog recommendation for a mid-priced stay in the area. I feel like we stumbled on a hidden gem.||Our suite was very spacious, the furnishings were comfortable, and it was very clean. The view was incredible and unobstructed. ||The grounds were very well kept and the beach was extremely easy to access. They had kayaks, SUPs, and beach chairs, and beach towels free of charge. Made it so easy for travelers to enjoy their stay. ||They are also a wealth of information and so helpful at check in. We will return when we come back to Chatham.

Right on the beach. Efficiency room that was newly renovated - definitely had a Cape Cod vibe to it. Beach chairs, umbrellas and bikes all included. Friendly staff. Our efficiency was right on the beach and we were able to sit on our deck and view the ocean at breakfast and at night. Private beach. Room was comfortable and clean. 5 minutes from downtown Chatham. Definitely would stay here again.

The Chatham Tides far surpassed our expectations. My husband and I booked this location due to the property being dog-friendly. We were celebrating our babymoon and wanted our entire little family involved. The location to not only the beach but downtown Chatham was perfect. The staff from check-in to cleaners were all very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to coming back with our baby next time!

We had two days to enjoy the Cape and chose the Chatham area for our stay. Chatham Tides was wonderful! Great location on the beach, which seems hard to find, and only a 5 minute drive to downtown Chatham. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the area! highly recommend!

Lovely resort. Great spot just above a beautiful beach with warm water. Rooms right above the dunes are compact but very nice, comfortable, and with great outdoor decks. Staff was very responsive. Not a pretentious place, but fits into the setting nicely.

Google
I booked an ocean‑view room at Chatham Tides for a quick Cape Cod getaway and paid just over $800 for one night (after taxes/fees). Unfortunately, the room had no working air‑conditioning—a deal‑breaker on a humid July day. What went wrong • A/C was completely inoperative. • Maintenance dropped by but couldn’t repair it. • I phoned the front desk twice requesting a manager to discuss partial compensation; nobody ever followed up. The result: a sweltering, sleepless night and radio silence from management since checkout. For a property in this price bracket, I expected basic comfort and responsive guest service. Until Chatham Tides can guarantee functioning amenities and timely customer care, I’d suggest looking elsewhere on the Lower Cape. After reviewing other reviews. It seems the AC issue has been ongoing. We should have opted for a refund and left. Being the 4th of July weekend It made it a little hard to find any place with availability.

Pleasantly clean and comfortable room. We visit Chatham often and found Chatham Tides to be one of the finest and affordable rooms we've enjoyed. We look forward to our next visit.

Yelp
Coming off of 8 fabulous nights over a few weeks time. Some tips/observations as we watch a myriad of parties checking out: This is a peaceful setting. It is a boutique hotel appropriate for older adults. This is the perfect setting to rest and read a book. The negative reviews or complaints are from people with children or those who book with a third party like booking.com. With such tranquility, if a child cries or screams, or you try to bring a dog (not allowed) then you are THAT person. Book directly with the hotel to discuss who will be traveling and your room needs.

Yelp
Chatham Tides is a great ocean view motel. This is not a fancy place. Think "beachy". We stayed in a King Oceanfront room. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are clean and include a refrigerator and kitchenette (Keurig, Toaster, Microwave and two stove top burners. The bathroom is small. I'm talking small. I'm an average sized person and bending down in the shower to pick up the soap was tight! But there's hot water and a toilet and a small sink with plenty of towels and some toiletries. Really the room has everything you need. I've never stayed in the other buildings so I'm not sure if the showers are bigger in other rooms. I see other past visitors complaining about the customer service at the registration desk. After my stay I can honestly tell you that anyone that complained about the rude service had evidently left their manners at home. It doesn't hurt to be polite. If you behave like a spoiled brat it's going to come back at you. You're on vacation! Relax and enjoy! The Chatham Tides is a gem in the rough.

Yelp
When you hear the word "motel" it's very off putting. However, Chatham Tides more so resembles an inn/B&B. I was so pleasantly surprised after checking in. We stayed in room 14. You can park directly in front of your room. The location is steps from the beach. We had an ocean view room equipped with a kitchenette that had everything we needed - stovetop, fridge, sink, dinnerware, utensils, keurig. The only thing missing was a microwave. Our room was very spacious although it's obvious there could be some TLC/upgrades to make the room even better. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever on the Cape.

Yelp
Very nice place! Went here with friends and family to unwind and to get away and relax. The staff was very accommodating but the beach and views stole the show. The place is not the Ritz Carlton but we barely were in our rooms. It was all about enjoying the beach, the views and neighborhoods. I strongly recommend this place if you want to go to an excluded place on a dead end road.

Yelp
I'm in Cape Cod for my wedding weekend. Found this place through Orbitz. At the time it was one of the better priced hotels in the area, not sure what pricing is now. It's located in a cul de sac, no extra traffic going through. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking available right in front of the room, or in the lot on the bottom level. We had to separate rooms booked for ourselves and family. Beautiful views from both rooms. The king room had a little deck with a much better view. Everything is clean and kept beautifully. Both rooms are very charming. King room has a full kitchen and much more space. The other room with two beds has a small kitchenette to the left. Both rooms were provided with some soaps, shampoo, and coffee. Chatham Tides is great for a weekend getaway or just to relax for a few days.

Yelp
Location: picked an oceanfront room which was amazing. Views, outside table and chairs, can hear the waves at night. Perfect! Room: Clean and well maintained. It is minimalist in accommodations but has all of the essentials. That is all you need here. Service: Friendly, personable, and welcoming. Overall, a wonderful stay. Would recommend and plan to come again.

Yelp
Me and my husband wanted a quiet charming place in Cape Cod and this place was perfect! Great ocean view from our patio. Could hear the ocean from our room. Sat out on the balcony each morning to enjoy the site and sound of the ocean. Staff was very friendly and gave us many suggestions for things to do and places to eat. When we checked out I went to buy a ball cap and they gave it to me complimentary. Would stay here again!

Yelp
So Close to perfect- right on the water, private beach.. you can hear the waves...it is a quiet property overall...private decks are really shared so there is not a lot of privacy. The rooms are generally small and out shower was teeny tiny.... Ask for a full length mirror!

Yelp
We are visiting Chatham Tides presently - Sept 2022. We booked an ocean front king Sz room. At first it seemed ok even though the rug in the room was disgusting-- stains all over and the bathroom has the smallest stand up shower. We got here Sunday evening and we're gone all day Monday. Monday when we returned the toilet did not flush. my husband being handy thought he could ask for a plunger which didn't work. when to the reception desk she gave him dawn detergent and hot water to see if HE could fix it!!! it didn't work. now it is almost 8:00 at night and the girl gets extremely nasty and tells us she has a small room if we want a working toilet or could leave!!!!! OMG! Really! apparently a working toilet isn't a big deal!!' never, never again! I've never experienced anything like this!!!

Yelp
We booked this hotel for a family trip to the cape. We specifically choose the hotel for the location and beach access. Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant stay. Upon arrival and checking in, we were disappointed to find that our room was extremely small and would not accommodate our family of four. We were clear during booking that we were a family of four. Hardly any room to move around and if we had brought our clothing into the room and a few toys, it would have been impossible to even move around. We were worried our 2 year old would trip over items. The kitchenette that was advertised was in a small closet area and was very dated. Room was not the updated room that Is displayed on the website pictures. It was also very dirty. After a few minutes I returned to the front desk to inform we would be unable to stay in the room- it would be impossible - and ask if their were any cancellations for a larger room. The guy at the front desk was immediately agitated with me and became combative. I told him that the room was misleading and it was not going to work. We had a bit of a heated exchange, the entire time I was holding my tongue because I really had no choice but to stay at this establishment. I could not put my 2 kids back in the car and drive 3 hours home. Anyway, we were ultimately given another room however we were told we would have to end our trip a day early. Thanks. He said the room was one of the more requested rooms. Upon arrival at our second room I could see that he was full of crap and that room was also very dated and dirty. But what was I going to do? Returning to the lobby would only result in an argument. I purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned the best I could. Beware of this establishment, the pictures on the website are not the rooms you are staying in. I am guessing they have a few updated rooms that they took pictures of. Maybe you will get lucky and get one of those.... But I doubt it. Pros: Chatham is a nice town Cons: Dirty room Mold on bathroom ceiling Broken door handle Garbage can that was melted from a prior guest Window Screens were broken and dirty Tub so dirty I would not bath my son The beach was not maintained and full of seaweed ... made no attempt to clean it up. Dirty carpet with holes in it The a/c unit was filthy and full of dust/mold Kitchen floor was awful... very dirty. Expensive, not the luxury experience we were hoping for Paid 540 a night. It's not worth the aggravation, stay somewhere else.

Yelp
Wow. Just had a terrible experience with Chatham Tides. Was really excited to stay there but given the poor customer service, have changed my mind.

Yelp
Beware unit 22. We went online to rent an ocean view room in Chatham. After looking online we rented a a 1 bedroom unit with "Panoramic ocean views from the deck, 1 and 3 bedroom units on two floors with a full kitchen, living room, 1 1/2 baths, private sundeck." After looking at the pictures on the website all the rooms seemed to have ocean views. However, the only ocean view from unit 22 is from a tiny window to the side of the unit and the sundeck which is up a narrow flight of outside steps. The hotel seems nice except for the septic odor in the parking lot. Would recommend except for that unit, however it was deceptive on their part.

Yelp
I stayed here on Saturday, September 8, 2012. I stayed in an efficiency that had a king size bed. It had a mini kitchen that worked out just fine. The kitchen was equipped with two stove burners, refrigerator, dishes, pans, silverware, toaster and a coffee maker. The room was pretty and exceptionally clean. I had my own outside deck with table and chairs. I also had a perfect view of the water. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The wind, the water, the sand and the view is all worth the price. Toll free number is 877-432-0379. Physical address is 394 Pleasant Street.

Yelp
Great location and friendly owners. Right next to a nice private beach that wasn't crowded. The public beach next to it was also pretty empty. Lots of chairs available. The views from the porch weren't too bad considering the room as not really an oceanfront room. The room was very small and outdated. The ocean view two bedroom seemed small for two of us and our son. The room was generally clean with the exception of the floor. I wiped some of the floor to clean up a spot when we got in and it was pretty dirty. I felt like we were walking on dirty floors for the whole stay. The air conditioning also didn't seem to reduce the humidity in the room so it had a damp feel the first night (including the bedding). Luckily there were nice sea breezes the next two nights so it helped make the room more comfortable. I may consider one of their larger accommodations in the future but only because we liked the location.

Yelp
Very clean, modern, tastefully decorated room. Not huge, but adequate for a few days. Private beach on the sound, and a quiet, convenient location to bike from in a residential neighborhood a few blocks from the main road. It's a very nicely kept motel, not claiming to be anything more!

Yelp
Stay from 5-Sep-2018 - 9-Sep-2018 Overall: If you want a clean, well maintained, comfortable place to stay while in Chatham, this is the place, and if that is not enough, you can reach a private beach after about a 90 second walk!! Staff: Jay, Peter, and John, were very accommodating, and more than happy to spend time with us sharing local gems in the area and assist with setting up bike rentals. Room: We had an efficiency which was perfect, 2 burners stove, nice size fridge, a small deck at the entry point of the room that had a couple chairs and a small table, perfect for looking at the sound while having your morning coffee or enjoying a bottle of wine while listening to the waves and watching the moonlight shine off the water. The bathroom was a little on the small size in our room, but all fixtures were full size, no small stand-up shower in the corner, we had a full size tub and shower. The shower/sink/kitchen water was as hot as you wanted and the A/C was cold as you wanted. Bed was soooooo comfortable and the trip to downtown was less then a 10 minute ride by vehicle. Will book on return trip!!

Yelp
Great location on the waterfront, with beautiful beaches to walk and swim. Great wildlife, watching ospreys hunt for fish. The motel is serious about keeping it clean. Pleasant staff. Many different sizes of rooms, efficiencies, studios, townhomes. We didn't use any AC, as they smelled moldy when running. We've been here before, different unit, same problem. Still, we will come back!
