After drooling over cars we couldn't afford at the Chicago Auto Show, we headed to Chinatown for an early dinner/late lunch. Although we ate where everyone was comfortable with, i strongly suggested Chatime afterwards for warm drinks because i had experienced it back in the Philippines.
So we were all excited. The menus are easy to access. And the place was slightly crowded. I did like the fact that my cashier lady had a good smile. (Pleasing personality) Very important where many businesses fail to recognize. Ambience was ok but felt more noisy than a warm drinks kinda place. Although despite many people our drinks (Taro milk tea and QQ Taro red bean pearl milk tea) came in an understandable time. In my part i failed to request a lower level of sweetness... you can choose 20% 40%...i like around 60%. Drink prices are around average for the area. Quality is where it changes though. I opened the lid and wondered....it smells like pancake batter. Dont know why...
Taste is good though. But i kept getting put off from the smell of pancake batter. And it wasnt only me.
I will try Chatime again, but order something else. And then maybe it will get my 5th star.
