Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon

We (married couple with 10 year old daughter from Germany) have stayed for 3 nights at Chatrium Hotel. The hotel, its infrastructure and atmosphere make the stay a true Myanmar experience. Classic style but well maintained. Rooms are spacious and „public areas“ including the pool are lovely. That much, you would expect from a 5 star hotel in other countries, but please do not forget, that the current situation (01/2026) is nothing but ordinary. The hotel ground is a „safe haven“ - a fact that is appreciated by the few remaining expats. And that must be quite difficult. Let me come to the end by saying that the entire staff make all the difference. I have been to many countries and many hotels. But the staff of the Chatrium Hotel go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. They support guests with transport and outside restaurant bookings…so far so good :) but as it was our daughters 10th birthday, they put in a lot of effort to make it a special experience. All in all: if you come to Yangon, the Chatrium Hotel is an excellent option.

I recently stayed at Chatrium Hotel and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a beautiful view. The hotel facilities were excellent, especially the swimming pool and breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options. Location-wise, the hotel is convenient and easy to access, making it perfect for both leisure and business stays. I also appreciated the smooth check-in and check-out process. However, there are a few small areas for improvement. Some services could be a bit faster during peak hours, and the Wi-Fi connection was slightly unstable at times. Aside from that, everything else was great. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Chatrium Hotel to others. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Chatrium Hotel Yangon –Afternoon High Tea Set Review I recently had the chance to try the High Tea Set at Chatrium Hotel Yangon, and it was a truly delightful experience. The tea was served in the Lobby Lounge, offering a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views of Kandawgyi Lake. The staff were very attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The High Tea Set included a good variety of both sweet and savory items. The pastries were freshly made and beautifully presented — especially the macarons and fruit tarts, which were delicious. The savory bites, such as mini sandwiches and quiches, were flavorful and well-balanced. I also appreciated that the portion sizes were just right, allowing me to enjoy everything without feeling too full. The selection of teas was impressive, offering a mix of classic and aromatic blends. I tried the Earl Grey, which paired perfectly with the desserts. The presentation of the set was elegant, with a classic three-tier tray that added to the afternoon tea charm. Overall, Chatrium Hotel’s High Tea is perfect for relaxing with friends or celebrating a special occasion. The quality of the food, excellent service, and serene atmosphere make it one of the best high tea experiences in Yangon. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting again.

I had a lovely time at the Chatrium Hotel lobby coffee area. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, always ready with warm service that made me feel well taken care of. The place itself is cozy and inviting — a perfect spot to relax. The coffee was excellent, rich in flavor and expertly prepared. A truly comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Fantastic value for money! For two people, the price is unbeatable for the setting and quality you receive. The snacks were balanced—not too sweet, not too heavy—and they gave us a generous amount. Hi-Tea at Chatrium Hotel – A Lovely Experience Had a wonderful hi-tea at Chatrium Hotel with my mom and child. They both absolutely loved it! The food was delicious with a nice variety of sweet and savory items. The ambiance was calm and elegant—great for a relaxing afternoon. Service was polite and attentive, making us feel very welcome. Overall, a great experience for the whole family. We’d definitely visit again!

Amazing hotel! When visiting Yangon and finding a place to stay, this hotel is the one I recommend. The hotel is similar to a luxurious villa. There is a large area of land with beautiful trees and elegant decor. The entire building, including the rooms, corridors, swimming pool, reception are clean, tidy, and has a nice scent to them. This hotel also has trustworthy security(they'll assign you the card for your room and only by that card can you access the elevator and your respective room). The meals they offer are delicious (they offer morning buffet too!) The service and hospitality makes you feel like a king! Absolutely recommend this!!
