Yelp
I try to keep an open mind about the restaurants I visit. I love visiting restaurants and want them to succeed. That being said, I have a problem with restaurants who don't try or care about their customers
We searched online for a good barbecue place and saw Chatt Smoke House with decent reviews...which still baffles me.
We walked 13 minutes from our hotel, to a shady area of town. Right away, we had bad vibes, as the restaurant was dirty on the outside with a handwritten note in the window. Inside was just as bad, with filthy floor, tables and chairs. The cashier was eating chips, put them away, and brushed off her hands before taking our order.
My wife ordered the Barbecue Chopped Chicken Dinner with coleslaw and baked beans. I ordered the Barbecue Beef Dinner with fries and baked beans.
We waited for about 25 minutes before our number was called. Unfortunately, when we got to our room and tried the food, it was absolutely DISGUSTING! My wife's chopped chicken was supposed to be barbecued, but was so undercooked, it crunched and had a sour taste. My Barbecued beef was literally Curly's or Lloyd's beef, just reheated. the sides were cold...even my fries were cold. A complete waste of $30.00 for terrible, undercooked, grocery store food you could make for $8 at home.
Don't make the mistake we did.
Save your money and patronize restaurants which care about the customers. No restaurant should take advantage of their customers by serving them bad/undercooked food, and then charging them. I wish I could understand the positive reviews for this place, but logically, I don't.
