Wondeful. The main temple were the Idol of lord Ram was actually decided to placed but that not happened. The story is easily available on internet but best to listen in Orchha itself. The temple is very huge & beautiful and people can also visit to the terrace, but you shoud first take ticket from the Orchha fort, otherwise they will charge you onetime money to visit the terrace of the temple. But i recommend to visit the terrace as the view from the terrace is good but here the catche, if you have any kind of problem in legs then dont. The stairs are really tall.

Orchha's Chaturbhuj Temple is an ancient architectureal gem that is attracting devotees and antiquarians for centuries. I was absolutely spellbound after visiting this magnificent temple. Although the actual temple area is small (on the ground floor), but the architecture, narrow adventurous stairways to reach the top floor, high ceilings and the overall vibe offer an experience like no other place. It's situated adjacent to the famous Raja Ram Mandir and to reach the upper floor you can show the gatekeeper your ticket 🎫 of Orchha Fort and he will open the gate for you. However, please ensure safety because the upper section doesn't have any railing or grill. Even the large windows lack any protection. So, keep yourself and your children safe. Today, this heritage temple is one of the most important Indian monuments that have successfully stood the test of time. Highly suggest everyone to visit here, at least once.😇💛

The temple was constructed by the Bundela Rajputs of the kingdom of Orchha during the reign of Mughal emperor Akbar. Its construction was begun by Madhukar Shah and completed by his son, Vir Singh Deo in the 16th century. Madhukar Shah built the temple for his wife, Rani Ganeshkuwari.

The best Mandir at Orchha and possibly one of the tallest in India. Need ticket to enter, which can be procured from the ticket counter ar Orchha fort, so plan accordingly. One needs to climb up the narrow steps to reach the top once inside the main temple sanctum. The view from the top is great. One can clearly see the Orchha fort, Ram Raja mandir and Lakshmi temple from here. Be carefull not to go towards the edges (risk of falling).

Chaturbhuj Temple in Orchha is an architectural marvel, famous for its towering spire and blend of temple and fort-like design. Built in the 16th century, it houses a majestic idol of Lord Vishnu and offers panoramic views of the town and Betwa River. Its serene atmosphere and historical significance make it a must-visit for both devotees and history enthusiasts.

The high ceilings create a lot of light and space inside. Some also mention that climbing the dark interior stairwells to the towers can be a fun and "unnerving" experience.

This temple is the main famous temple of Orchha. This temple is more ancient than other temples of Orchha. The structure of this temple is very huge. Only the foundation of this temple is built up to a height of about 30 to 35 feet. is mandir ki antrik sanrachna bahut hi sundar aur vishal hai. The construction of this temple itself shows the art of the artisans and the architecture of our ancient architects and the skill of ancient engineers.

The Chaturbhuj Temple is tall and majestic, a true architectural gem that dominates Orchha’s skyline. However, it is not very well maintained, which takes away a bit from its beauty. Still, the structure and its spiritual atmosphere make it worth visiting for devotees and history lovers alike.
