Chawla's Cuisine

I ordered biryani from this place for the first time, and the experience was honestly shocking. When I opened the container, I found a hair inside the biryani. This is completely unacceptable for any food establishment, especially one serving cooked meals. Because of this incident, I will be filing a complaint with the Canada Health & Food Safety Department. Food safety is not something to take lightly, and customers deserve hygienic, clean, and safe meals. This also raises serious concerns about the kitchen environment. Questions that immediately came to my mind: • Are the staff wearing proper hair nets while cooking? • How clean is the food preparation area? • Are there proper sanitation and hygiene standards being followed? • How often are they inspected for food safety compliance? If this is what a first-time customer receives, I can’t imagine how careless the kitchen might be on a daily basis. I’m extremely disappointed and will not be ordering again.

The food was decent and the prices are genuine. I love the tandoori momos but dal makhani and cream chicken were average.

Restaurant Atmosphere is really Nice, Good Lighting and Comfortable Sitting. However, Food is the Main Point and I'm sorry to say but its not Good. Quitr Average and little taste. I don't suggest them. Even they took so much time for the Main Course.

Ordered first time at this restaurant a chicken biryani and what I got is Chicken curry rice. Rep telling me they have been selling this for 8 years apparently they don't know how to cook biryani and selling chicken curry rice as biryani.

Me and 2 other friends of mine went for dinner. Firstly, if someone is from India and going there after thinking that it may resemble to Chawla 2 since 1960, so definitely not. Yes the sign is almost similar. But the food quality and tastes is way too different. I would give overall 3.5 to food. We ordered cheese chilly semi-gravy. It was fine. But paneer wasn't that soft and something was not right with it, taste wise. Dal makhani was good but it could have been better if the cream in it was less. Breads were good. Naan were soft and lachha prantha was also good too. Their green chutney is tasty. One of our friend order creamy chicken and according to him it was good. Service was fast and good. Atmosphere is also preferable. Not too loud and you don't have to wait for too much for the table. Price is fine. We spent around $50 on food without tip.

Visited Chawla’s recently and had an amazing experience! Even though tossed lollipops weren’t on the menu, the chef kindly prepared them on request — and they turned out to be the highlight of the meal. Absolutely delicious, perfectly balanced flavours, and cooked to perfection! They should add it in the menu The staff is amazing and very attentive to guests, which made the experience even better. This is a must-try item, and I highly recommend everyone to ask for the Chef’s Special Tossed Lollypop when you visit Chawla’s. Truly worth it! 🍗✨

Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service is attentive and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. You can really tell they care about quality and the experience they provide. Every visit has been a great one, highly recommend.
