Overall experience was great! The weather wasn't so great in the evening and we chose to air outside and it eventually rained! Our waiters and waitresses had great spirits as they of course served us outside. Food was delicious and the service was very kind! We had a voucher so we were lucky and we wanted to tip well but they didn't take tips unfortunately! They all deserved it!

A great find. Amazing food - everything was fresh and super tasty. Fully vegan and that’s a huge plus! People are very friendly and hospitable. We highly recommend the place to others, and will definitely return ourselves.

During our long stay in Berlin, we ate at here several times for lunch, early and late dinners. We loved how all the vegan and gluten-free options were so fresh and healthy. The staff was always pleasant and the atmosphere inviting. The decor with Buddha's and plants transported me to Southeast Asia. It actually felt like I was in Vietnam eating local dishes. The hot tea with fresh ginger was always a treat after meals and the warm sticky rice for dessert was yummy! Highly recommend it!

My absolute favorite!! It is a very special restaurant, everything is vegan so if you have friends or family members who would be interested to try something new in Berlin, I believe they will be grateful you take them here! It is only a bit pricier than your regular Asian restaurants but it is definitely worth it - the portions are also big. The food also comes quite fast, perfect choice if you're starving. The staff is very friendly and the place has a really good vibe around it.

I’m a US east coast vegan and honestly haven’t given Vietnamese food much of a chance at home in Philadelphia and I cannot believe how delicious everything was and I’m so glad I came here. In Berlin, we’ve tried a few Vietnamese restaurants now and this was by far my favorite one. The iced coffee tasted like a treat and the peanut sauce with spring rolls was so refreshing. The arugula and veggies were so fresh and the summer rolls had so much flavor. Everything was done with so much attention and care. The menu was reversible to read in either English or German. Definitely come try this place, it’s very obvious that they take pride in their food. Thanks so much for a great experience!

Google
All in all a great place for vegan Vietnamese food in Berlin. Kind service and cozy design. The “magic mushrooms” starter tasted wonderful! The summer rolls, Bun Bo Hue and the Phở were good. Personally I would have preferred a simpler Phở soup with less variety of ingredients. Prices are fair for the area.

Yelp
Chay Long is an absolutely delightful restaurant where the dishes are so flavorful and fresh that omnivores won't miss meat for a second. The staff are so welcoming and nice, the menu has a lovely selection of largely Vietnamese fare. We enjoyed the golden baked spring rolls and dumplings, the steamed bao, pho, tofu/veggies with a peanut sauce, and my 4yo enjoyed his rice with veggie chicken. The restaurant itself is beautiful and peaceful. No complaints here!

Yelp
Nice service and good vegan but not outstanding food. I'd recommend to skip number 3 and 5. the Banh Xeo number 20 was great and worth the price! Number 15 was better than 3 and 5 but also "just" ok. I wouldn't necessarily drive all the way to eat here and there are definitely better options for vietnamnese vegan food but overall it's decent. Tapas for 3.80€ and main dishes for 8.50€. Next time we will try a main dish that mostly consist of curry and peanut litter sauce with vegan duck or chicken

Yelp
While visiting Berlin, I had no intentions of eating Vietnamese food. Back home, Vietnamese or Thai is often my go to cuisine. So when we were in the Vegan paradise of Berlin, I planned to gorge on all the Vegan things that I don't normally eat. Passing by Chay Long changed all that. Their menu is fully Vegetarian with nearly all items Vegan. Even if it's labeled as Vegetarian, most things appear to be Veganizable for additional €. It's a very inviting, almost tranquil space filled with light wood and plenty of character. The waiter was welcoming and helpful in explaining the menu if we needed it. We ordered Goi Cuon and Ban Xeo to start. Goi Cuon is one of my favorites but it was missing a few key ingredients that make it great. They were skimpy on the mint and there wasn't any cilantro. It tasted fine as is but we used up all the peanut sauce in an attempt to add flavor. I swear I've had Banh Xeo before. Either I was mistaken or it's prepared much differently here. Or perhaps I was just never given instructions on how to eat it. This Banh Xeo comes as a very thin pancake with well seasoned seitan and tofu on top. We were instructed to cut the pancake and roll it in the lettuce leaves, then dip it in the provided sauce. Thanks to my lovely wife for rolling up my wrap or else I would be deconstructing this bad boy as my wrapping skills aren't existent. This was the highlight of our meal. One of the tastiest things in Berlin. We ordered Pho since I was feeling soup and they did not have Bun Bo Hue on the menu. Before seasoning it up, I sampled the broth. It wasn't bad but I like my soups very well seasoned. Even though it didn't include any herbs as traditionally it's served, the hoisin and chili sauce provided all the flavor that I needed. We ended with a dry Pho which was very good. This need no additional spices whatever (although I still had to add that Sriracha) If I wasn't so full, I would've added the rest of this to my broth to finish it up. However I was stuffed so thought it better to leave the broth behind so I could save room in the tank for beer later. Overall it was a great dining experience. The food was decent to outstanding. Service was top notch, and the place was actually cool inside. A rarity I've found, in Europe. The only disappointing moment was the cost of water. €3.20 for a glass. No wonder the waiter attempted to steer is towards the house mixed drinks instead for only €1 more. Other that that, it was one of the best dining experiences we had in Berlin.

Yelp
What a gem. I wandered in after a long cold day in Berlin and this place completely changed my mood. The hostess was so kind and forgiving of my inability to speak German (she didn't speak much English, but they have an English menu so we managed fine). I had the ginger tea, which was steeped with fresh ginger and herbs. Then the crispy pancake with herbs and sauce. Last, the banana coated in a sticky rice with creamy coconut milk. It was all amazing. The ingredients were so fresh and the meal was light and healthy, but indulgent. I would highly recommend this place to vegans and non-vegans alike!

Yelp
Delicious, well seasoned vegan Vietnamese food in a warm, hospitable restaurant. Banh bao and banh xeo were on point, noodle and rice dishes were excellent. The food was great and the comfortable vibe of the restaurant was really appreciated after a wild, stormy day in Berlin.

Yelp
Nice peaceful restaurant where you can get food either alone or with small group of friends. Good food and good service.
