"I had the pleasure of celebrating my daughter's birthday at this charming French restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious, with a great selection of traditional French dishes. What impressed me most, however, was the reasonable pricing - excellent value for the quality and portion sizes. But what truly made our evening special was the thoughtful gesture by the staff. They surprised my daughter with a little treat and sang 'Happy Birthday' with such warmth and enthusiasm. It made her feel like a princess, and we were all touched by their kindness. Merci beaucoup to the entire team for making my daughter's birthday so memorable! We can't wait to come back and enjoy another wonderful meal." 5/5 stars!

We came down to Ballina from Gold Coast for an appointment then we looked for a nice restaurant for lunch before heading back home, Che Bon came up on Google search and it was closed to where we were. From the moment we walk in the door till the end, we were greeted and served with warmth, accommodating and welcoming. The foods were amazing, wine was really with reasonable price. That was the best French food we’ve had for a long time. Will definitely come back again and recommend to our friends.

Che Bon is awesome start to finish. It's an 11 out of 10 for food, service and pricing, but it's a 8.5 out of 10 for lighting. It's VERY bright in there and is the only point deduction they get. The service is outstanding - ALL of the staff were very knoweldgeable and did their jobs perfectly. Coming from an ex hospo background it's rare that you can go somewhere and relax completely. These guys did not hover. They were there when you wanted them and absent when you wanted time to yourself. The food is OUTSTANDING (doubly so for the price). It comes out quickly, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The wine selection is great and the bar staff really know what they are doing. We're very lucky to have this place in Ballina, actually, it's too good for this place :) They also have a gift shop. Go there. You'll love it. And if hassle the owner enough about the lighting, this will be the best place in Ballina. :)

A beautiful French food experience! The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. I did find the restaurant a little noisy due to the number of people. The 3 course dinner option had a great variety to choose from and was very reasonably priced. The owners also tried to come and greet every customer at some point during the evening. That was a nice and personal touch.

Blind choose this small French Restaurant to have the last meal of 2024 in Ballina, so surprise abt all things, Lovely staff, perfect taste, friendly Atmosphere...Will back again..

Love love love this place. The staff and chef all create this wonderful and fun atmosphere and the food is cooked to perfection. Great value and you have not had chips until you’ve tried the chips here. Superb.

Superb, traditional French cuisine. Prepared to the highest level. The smoothest, most perfectly balanced pate we have ever had. Relaxing and non pretentious atmosphere. Our wine was decanted at the table, a rarity these days. All staff were experienced and performed their roles seamlessly. Cannot recommend Che Bon highly enough. We'll be back soon.

Loved trying this place! Visiting friends in the area who are regulars. Fantastic a French food using Local ingredients. Very welcoming & professional staff. Would very much recommend steak frites. Perfect medium rare. We shared Excellent pâté starter. Desserts were wonderful. Crème brûlée and a light but deep chocolate mousse. We will be back !
