So lucky to find this gorgeous place Every dish a delight and a great selection of french and aussie wine. Anne-Gaelle was welcoming and friendly and helped us to find a delicious to pair with our chosen dishes. The duck liver pate was light and fluffy, excellent surloin steak with seasonal veg and the burramundi fish was perfectly cooked Recommended to anyone in the area and especially if you are staying at the Manor Hotel nearby.

Had a great dining experience at Che Bon Restaurant in Ballina! This place truly brings authentic French cuisine and hospitality to the area. Started with their Warm Goat Cheese Salad which was perfectly balanced - the creamy, tangy goat cheese paired beautifully with fresh greens and their house-made dressing. The highlight of our evening was definitely the Cote de Boeuf featuring Troy's Farm's Tomahawk - grass fed and hormone free beef that was absolutely spectacular. The French wine pairing our server recommended was spot-on and elevated the entire dish. The service was truly exceptional - the French staff bring such authenticity and passion to the dining experience. Their knowledge of both the menu and wine selections was impressive, and their genuine enthusiasm for French cuisine really enhanced our evening. What makes this place even more special is that they make their own salad dressings, truffle mustard, and other condiments on-site - and they're available for purchase! Che Bon offers a genuine French dining experience with quality ingredients, expert preparation, and service that makes you feel like you're dining in France. Highly recommend for a special night out!

Such an amazing dinner experience. The waitress was so welcoming and always made you feel well looked after, the food was absolutely incredible. I had the duck pâté and beef eye fillet with blue cheese sauce - absolutely phenomenal. Cant wait to dine here again

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious, with a great selection of traditional French dishes. What impressed me most, however, was the reasonable pricing - excellent value for the quality and portion sizes. But what truly made our evening special was the thoughtful gesture by the staff. They surprised my daughter with a little treat and sang 'Happy Birthday' with such warmth and enthusiasm. It made her feel like a princess, and we were all touched by their kindness. A True Taste of France in Ballina! Che Bon has been our go-to restaurant for over three years and it never disappoints. The food is consistently outstanding—authentic, original and full of heart. My French husband often says it feels like being back home, which is the highest praise you can give. The service is always amazing - warm and professional, and the atmosphere relaxed yet welcoming. We’ve dined in some of Paris’s top restaurants, and Che Bon holds its own. It’s a special place, and we’re so lucky to have it in Ballina.

Che Bon is awesome start to finish. It's an 11 out of 10 for food, service and pricing, but it's a 8.5 out of 10 for lighting. It's VERY bright in there and is the only point deduction they get. The service is outstanding - ALL of the staff were very knoweldgeable and did their jobs perfectly. Coming from an ex hospo background it's rare that you can go somewhere and relax completely. These guys did not hover. They were there when you wanted them and absent when you wanted time to yourself. The food is OUTSTANDING (doubly so for the price). It comes out quickly, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The wine selection is great and the bar staff really know what they are doing. We're very lucky to have this place in Ballina, actually, it's too good for this place :) They also have a gift shop. Go there. You'll love it. And if hassle the owner enough about the lighting, this will be the best place in Ballina. :)

I was here with 2 of my friends. From our greeting by Anne, we were warmly welcomed & felt we were personally treated. The menu is delightful. We had the seafood platter between us for entree 👌🏼 I ordered the duck, absolutely superb 👌🏼 We couldn’t resist the desserts, again 👌🏼. Anne ran the floor so professionally & I know everyone in the restaurant would have felt as special as we did. Thank you Anne, we go away singing your praises & how superb Che Bon is. We will return, along with other friends & family.

Great dinner the service was attentive, efficient, and friendly. The waitress took the time to answer our questions. The menu has gluten-free options. The food was delicious the homemade duck pate and the steak were incredible. I highly recommend it.

Loved trying this place! Visiting friends in the area who are regulars. Fantastic a French food using Local ingredients. Very welcoming & professional staff. Would very much recommend steak frites. Perfect medium rare. We shared Excellent pâté starter. Desserts were wonderful. Crème brûlée and a light but deep chocolate mousse. We will be back !
