Che Playa Hostel & Bar

In general a very nice hostel with friendly staff. Unfortunately, it was low season, when I was there. The music in the rooftop bar was always way too loud, so that a proper conversation couldn't really happen and there are no individual lights at the beds, which I think should be changed. Good system with the wristbands, so that you onky have to pay, when you leave. The pool ist very nice and I would probably stay here again.

Great hostel in a perfect central location. Good airconditioning in the rooms just take some ese pulga if you want to sleep before midnight. But the roof top is awesome for drinks and the pool, can’t recommend this place enough. Shout out to Armando for great help and company during the stay

Amazing service from Eugenio when arriving at hostel. He was able to upgrade our dorm to a private room free of charge so that we felt more comfortable during our stay (and could stay in our group of 3). We really appreciated how accomodating and warm Eugenio and other staff were which had a positive impact on our trip. Also shout out to Alan who was helpful and kind throughout our stay.

Had the best time at Che Playa Hostel! Really good vibes, everyone makes you feel so welcome, especially Camila! She made sure that everyone had a great stay and kept the party going with fun activities throughout the week I was there. Easy place to meet other solo traveler, and will stay there next time I’m in playa!

The staff are all faultless, kind and helpful in whatever you need from directions, advice, a band aid or a last minute extension. Free filtered water tap, kitchen facilities and ensuite in dorm rooms. Not a pushy hostel to buy drinks at the rooftop bar just to sit there, they leave you in peace to work or relax whether you order something or not which is a big plus! Big shout out and thanks to all the staff over the last 5 days for the travelling crew of 8 and 3 wild Aussies!

Camila is truly the heart of the hostel. She goes out of her way to make sure every guest feels included, connected, and part of the community. Whether it’s remembering your name, introducing you to new people, or running fun rooftop events, she creates an atmosphere where even short-term guests can feel like they’ve made lifelong friends. Her energy and warmth are a huge part of what makes the experience at Che Hostel so special. A special shoutout as well to Martín who’s not just a great bartender but also one of the friendliest people around the hostel. Always welcoming and always smiling. Together, Camila and Martín make staying at Che Hostel an unforgettable experience

Very good location next to shops and the beach. However there so much noise during the day and night that we could not sleep at all. Maintenance is very poor. Will not come back

We had a good experience staying at CHE Hostel in Playa del Carmen for 10 nights! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. We had many questions and no request was too big or small. Whether it was offering tips on where to explore in Playa del Carmen, arranging bookings, or simply making sure we were comfortable, the team truly exceeded our expectations.
