Our room was Tierra. Contemporary finish, a nice size with a small outdoor area.|Cleaned daily and it was absolutely spotless. Loved the daily cakes left in the hallway for all the guests. Great way to access the property with the door code rather than having a key. |First night did not get off to a good start as a neighbour had a party while 4am which kept us awake and we'd been up since 2am the previous night to travel. |There are some things that could be better to improve the room.|A full length mirror, more surfaces to put things, real cups for the coffee rather than paper cups that went soft, no need for the mini bar just need the fridge, everything is on the doorstep to buy. |The bed settee needs attention, it's bent in the middle like a taco, impossible to sleep on your front, this is not acceptable for the weekly rate. |We enjoyed our stay in a prime location but it's not really cheap. |We love Menorca and especially Ciutadella.

What a great hotel this is! We've had a room with a top floor terrace which was a great use in the evenings for a relaxed drink before going to sleep. Quiet and relaxed place based right in the town centre where it is close basically to everywhere you'd like to go. Interiors, design, art are giving very nice vibe to the place and of course, Suzanna, the face and the soul of the hotel :) always attentive, always smiling, helpful and very nice lady who's presence already gives you a good feeling about the place you're staying in. If you don't speak spanish, don't worry, language is not a barrier here at all, she'll make sure you'll feel comfortable here at all times. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a pleasant stay in a beatiful town of Ciutadella and I am definitely looking forward to come back!

The rooms are very modern and comfortable, furthermore the hotel is located in the perfect location in Ciutadella, the parking nearby is very affordable as well. All in all, it ticks all the boxes ✅

We had a lovely stay in this hotel, which is right in the centre of the beautiful town of Ciutadella. We arrived in town without a booking, but called and spoke with a very friendly lady who gave us a good rate. Although there was no-one on site at the hotel, entry instructions followed promptly by WhatsApp and we were in. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and very quiet even on a Saturday night. The traditional shutters meant we could get it nice and dark, so we had some great sleeps. We had help from staff with where to park and with providing some additional room amenities. There was good space to hang our clothes, and a fridge/minibar so we could keep breakfast provisions cool. We miss it already and I hope to go back again!

We never got to do the check-in because when we arrived there was nobody to meet us there. The door was closed and no matter how many times we called the telephone number provided on the hotel sign, there was no answer. The hotel has no 24h reception service. This is usually not a problem for us as we have had this in many ocasions, however, usually you are then provided with check-in instructions to acces the hotel. The hotel asks you to provide the time of arrival 24h in advance. We had asked for an early check-in which was denied (no problem, we know it is subject to availability), the hotel told us that they will therefore expect us as from 14:00 onwards. I wrote to the hotel that we would be there after lunch (which in spain is usually after 15:00h) as there was no further question about the time of check-in and the hotel did not mention any inconvinience regarding my info, we did not forward more information. We had been up since 01:00am. When we arrived at 17:00h (so not any strange time, we were not attended. Neither at the property nor vía telephone. We called 33!!!!! times over the time span of 1h 17min. |In the meantime we contacted booking.com for help, they also tried to contact the property without any response from the property. They then started the process of relocating us and cancelled the booking at this hotel with a refund (the hotel charged us the full stay in advance). We had to be relocated to a more expensive hotel, booking took care of the difference. Our new hotel was fortunately much more beautiful and in a better location. |The lady who should have checked us in finally called us back when we were in the middle of the phone call with booking. I asked her to wait and she very rudely responded she doesn't have the time to wait. We had been waiting 2 hours infront of the closed door of her hotel!!! And instead of apologizing she was being rude about it and also saying she has only 4 calls. This is a complete lie. I have all calls on record. There was even a spanish couple who tried to help us by phoning her also and even leaving her a voice message. There was no apology whatsoever. Just rudeness and giving us the feeling she is glad she does not have to deal with us (probably did not suit her time schedule for the day to come and check us in).|We are apalled by the treatment we got. I have worked in the hotel industry for nearly 16 years, also in a management position at a 5* hotel. I know exactly how things should work and what is completely unacceptable. Even if the hotel has no 24h reception, there must be someone available at least by phone. A guest could have a serious emergency (health issue) and need assistance. This is a serious issue. We speak spanish as we live in Spain and know what we have to do and who we need to call in case of an emergency. But most foreign tourists don't. This hotel has no sense of customer service at all. The rooms looked nice on booking.com and the locstion is not bad. But we would now not ever consider booking this property again. It is a -10 from us.

Cheap&Chic is one of the hotel to stay if you should choice (we recommend it) the beautiful Ciutadella - the ancient capital of the isle - as the basis of your holiday in Menorca. Not only because of its good value for money (cheap) and because of the modern and minimalist charachter of the bright rooms (chic) but also because of its exceptional location, in a pedestrian street, just 100 meters from the cathedral (you will hear its bells), the heart of the town. No breakfast is served (although a free service fresh cake is available every day) but nearby you can find (you are in the town center) several cafes where you can have breakfast. We strongly recommend Can Padet, just a five minute walk from the hotel: quiet in a little square, nice staff, wonderful things (sweet and savory) to eat, produced in their own laboratory. The hotel doesn't has a reception, but they give you easy information about self check-in. In any case, in the morning a person is there. Artwork of local artists are featured (and on sale) throughout the hotel.

My wife had been wanting to try different accommodation in the town for ages. We opted for the Cheap n Chic hotel, which ls positioned very central and near to the Cathedral, shopping and restaurants. Our room was on the second floor and accessed by a winding staircase. Our suite was large with low beams. The interior was modern and had a warmth as we walked through the door. We arrived late, so there were no staff to greet us. But no worries , easy access and no problems at all. The next morning we were met by the manager, a lovely lady who ensured our room was cleaned daily, to a high standard. The hotel has very nice touches. There is a coffee machine and cake in the reception. In the room, there was a drinks fridge with water, beer and wine and at a very reasonable price. When you are situated in the centre, you are always going to hear the bells. But the rooms are very well sound proofed. The bed was probably the most comfortable I had ever slept in. The shower and bathroom were excellent. I thought the hotel was fantastic and would recommend it to anyone who wants something different. You are left alone with no hassle or fuss. The manager is around for a few hours in the daytime, but if you have any problems there are contact details.

Nice place to stay downtown Ciutadella. However I would definitely not recommend the place, as the pictures about “double room” on hotel.com might not match your expectations! (i.e the little garden is only for one of the rooms, if you need a proper desk to work from, you might not have a proper one, but only a tiny table in the bathroom…) Too bad, but still the host/owner was nice.
