Our food was hot and well prepared. Our waitress was engaging, attentive, and pleasant. We enjoyed our dining experience!

Overall I don’t really have any issues. I order takeout often and this is strictly about my last order. I got a steak to go and asked for it medium rare and it was difficult trying to cut into it the steak, and that’s because the steak was raw, not rare but cold in the center. I called and spoke with an associate and he got my information said a manager would email and get into contact. It’s been 5 days and no response.

Cheddar's provides a comforting and familiar dining experience with generous portions at reasonable prices. The honey butter croissant is a must-try – warm, flaky, and delightfully sweet. The steak was cooked to order and satisfying, and the loaded baked potato was a classic, packed with toppings. Importantly, the ribs were tender and flavorful, making them a definite highlight of the meal. While the service and checkout were a little slow, this was understandably due to a power outage from a recent storm. Despite this temporary inconvenience, the staff remained friendly. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly.

This is a really neat place, with great atmosphere. This was appetizers night for us. Unfortunately I was too excited about eating I forgot to take pictures. Next time! Anyway we had the Wisconsin Cheese Curds with marinara & ranch on the side, Nachos & Queso with ground beef added on the queso (no extra charge), French Fries & 2 bowls of Loaded Baked Potato Soup. Everything was awesome. Our waitress was very good! She really took care of us. Our food came out fast. Can't wait to go back. Their menu is very extensive, so many good things I want to try. The establishment is very clean with plenty of free parking. This one is located right off of Harris Blvd on the University area in Charlotte. You really need to try Cheddar's, you won't be disappointed!!

Chicken tenders are not seasoned. Ranch is watery. Fried shrimp not seasoned. Carrots are decent.

Went on a Sunday. The wait was not too bad. Restaurant was clean. Server was nice and attentive. Did reasonably priced. About $60 - e didn’t order from the bar. We had pasta dishes. A fan favorite was the hunger butter croissants but I was the only one not a fan. It had a weird after taste… I didn’t even finish it. I actually liked the garlic bread better. They do not sub items. I wanted the salmon n shrimp with pasta or another veggie instead of rice… NOPE. My friend wanted to sub the chicken for shrimp… NOPE We would’ve paid the difference

First time ordering fish and chips. It was lightly bread and seasoned to perfection. My 6 year old grandson had shrimp. He ate his and my last piece of fish. I low key didn't want to share. I also had the mango tea. I requested a to go cup. My daughter had the salmon, it's her favorite. Love this place.

Everything was good would of been 5 stars but appetizer was a little cold but was still flavorful but all other food items came hot and was great drinks was great also

I don't know what to think now! Because of what happened during my first visit to this place, their customer service gave me a gift card to try them again! Today I walked in to place a to-go order! I arrived at 3:45 p.m. I had to wait for a shift change before my order was placed! It's now 4:20 p.m., and I'm waiting for my order! I think I'm done with this place! The service was very good. We had a very friendly waitress. My main course was spareribs and chicken fingers which were delicious. However, I was disappointed in the side, dishes of string beans and coleslaw. They really lacked flavor. The ambience was great.

After leaving the airport today. I thought I'd stop in and get something really good to eat. I love the food, decor, music and folks here! Great service! Spoke with Manager Won and Waitress Bree made the dining experience wonderful. Will be returning for sure.

Visiting Saturday afternoon around 3, several large parties waiting to be seated. Thankfully my daughter did something on the phone and our table was ready in less than 5 minutes. Service remained just as quick throughout our visit, thanks to our waiter Kaleb. This is a very loud restaurant. I am sensitive to sound and the close proximity of tables and booths makes it very hard to hear your conversation. Needless to say this and the cleanliness of the restaurant are the only reason I'm not going 5. The food was good. I ordered meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and broccoli casserole. Everything was delicious. I wish the portions of the sides were larger. I almost ordered another order of sides to complete my meatloaf. I do love the fact their meatloaf isn't soaked down in ketchup. A gravy meatloaf is hard to find. My daughter ordered the sirloin and tenders. The steak was seasoned well and tender. The chicken tenders were juicy and meaty. My 6 yo grandson finished the kids penne pasta with Alfredo and that's my review on that. Our waiter was amazing. Really enjoyed spending my afternoon there with family. Definitely will return!

I decided to stop by cheddars, it's been so long since I've been to any location. The ambiance was great! Service was good as well. I decided to sit at the bar and grab a drink and an appetizer. (I will say it was very, very chilly inside the restaurant and that's the only complaint I have. ) So I grabbed a strawberry daiquiri and Santa Fe spinach dip. They both were amazing and I also decided to try the honey butter croissants and they were delicious. I will definitely be back because the prices are great and the food is good.

Good food, reasonable prices and great service is what we experienced on a first visit to Cheddars. The interior was nice and clean. The server brought over complementary honey butter croissants to try, YUM!. I was originally hesitant about going given the low ratings, but I will always try something at least once and I am glad I did. This is a great value place with quality food. I thoroughly enjoyed a steak (6oz) and half Slab combo which was very reasonably priced. They nailed the steak temperature, hats off!!!! We are Definitely going back. Keep up the good work!!

My first time in Charlotte NC while I make my way down to SC. Never heard of this place. Gave it a shot. Great decor and great, friendly staff. Walked right in. Happy Hour All day prices on a few drinks and Bud Light. They advertise chicken tenders as a popular dish so of course I ordered it. The tendies overall were slightly better than Canes and the ranch dressing was to die for. The Hot Honey was not good as it had a maple syrup flavor to it. The French fries was where they went wrong. A few people I was with agreed. Barely warm, no seasoning, not crispy. My meal was called Key West Chicken and Shrimp. Should have made a different selection. Wry small Piece of chicken and 3 slightly overcooked shrimp on top of a bed of rice with pineapple and some hideous teriyaki type sauce. The best part of the restaurant was the prices. Very cheap as 4 meals and a few beverages cost $70. Not a bad price. Of my party of 4, 2 people were satisfied and 2 were not. Overall a 6.8 overall out of 10.

Server was nice and there wasn't a wait for seating at all. We ordered an appetizer and drink while waiting on our entree's. Cheese bites came out warm and they were delicious. It was a lil wait on our other items but not long enough that it was a problem. My chicken wraps were room temperature, like maybe it was sitting out while waiting on the other food.

Worst dining experience I've had so far. Wait time was 6-10 minutes when I got on the waitlist but I waited 30 to sit a table of ONE with no acknowledgement from the host. Despite seeing I was #1 on the waitlist, I saw two parties sat before me. Server took awhile to bring my drinks and then took awhile after that to take my order after I've already waited longer than I planned. The drink I ordered was just juice and no alcohol which was a waste of money. After I received my food, I was left without napkins and a straw for my drink and my server just handed me my food and walked off without speaking. Went awhile before I was asked if I needed anything, and when I asked for a refill of my other beverage she brought it in a Togo cup, assumed to be rushing me out after I waited a long time just to be seated. To top it off, I was asked to walk into the back of house, to pay for my meal since the kiosk was not assigned to my table. Which is not a big deal but kind of weird on top of an already terrible experience. I can say the server was kind, but not attentive as I waited a 10 minutes just to be able to pay and leave and to be given the chance to ask for the bare minimum. I will not come back to this establishment.

Feeling nostalgia on a Sunday I decided to reminisce on the old CIAA days and just old faithfuls like Chedsar's. A gem back in the day when life was carefree. I gave this Cheddar's location a tryout again (over a decade later). I used to frequent this location in the early 2000s. I fell for Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen for its consistency and quality. I'm grateful to learn that the experience is still on point here for the most part. The restaurant was nice and clean. There was no one to be found at the Host station. Very busy day, so this was to be expected. I sat myself at the bar. My bartender/server Crystal was amazing. Very kind, welcoming, and attentive. Crystal had tables and the bar to tend to and she didn't miss a beat. Always upbeat, pleasant, and worked well with everyone never sacrificing great customer service. The rolls were as I remember. Buttery soft and delicious. The New Orleans pasta was decent. Flavorful and meaty. My only suggestion is to cook the pasta less. I prefer my pasta al dente and the penne was cooked a bit too long. The temperature of my food on arrival to me was perfect. The kitchen has mastered this. Piping hot and blowable food is a YES for me every time. My classic mule was very good and refreshing. The right amount of ice and I enjoy the mint.

The food was delicious, I ordered the ribs, the bartender was very friendly and attentive to my order, I strongly recommend it.

Our server Cameron was exceptional. Friendly, helpful and a joy to be around. He said to try the salmon. I did! Very well seasoned and came out quickly. My tummy was happy and it's worth a try. Make sure to get the honey croissants. Heavenly and we devoured them quickly lol. Place is spacious with a nice ambiance. Menu has a wide selection of seafood, chicken, steak and ribs. We arrived at 5pm and got seated in under 5 minutes. Nice to eat local and meal was very good.

You can't go wrong with cheddars. The food and service is going to be consistent every visit. We love their buttered croissants. I always get the same thing salmon, broccoli and cheese casserole and corn! The kids love looking at their huge fish tank! The inside is filled with real plants...I wonder who takes care of them lol

This is my first time eating here. I ordered the New Orleans pasta with the honey croissants. The croissants were amazing. The pasta was good but they were very skimpy on the meat I only got 2 pieces of sausage, 3 pieces of chicken and 6-7 pieces of shrimp. The sausage and chicken was salty. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The restaurant was nice and cozy. The prices were okay but they need to add more meat to the New Orleans Pasta dish. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect more than 2 pieces of sausage and 3 pieces of chicken in a dish that costs $15.00. Okay.

Food was plentiful and really tasty but not great. The restaurant was clean and well kept with a very pleasant atmosphere. Service was ok and distracted even though the restaurant was not very busy. However, the great prices made up for all the shortcomings.

The food was delicious and we had excellent service. The croissants with honey butter are amazing. The monte Cristo was very tasty. The sweet tea was perfect.

My Daughter , Granddaughter and I usually go to Cheddars almost every Friday evening. But this week we ended up going on Thursday evening. We noticed there were no familiar waiters or waitresses. That's kind of weird. I ordered a steak, baked potato and salad. Their salads are the best with crunchy fresh veggies. When my salad arrived I immediately was disappointed. The iceberg lettuce that was in it was brown around the edges. Not very appealing. Like they scraped the bottom of the barrel. Not long after the steak and potato was served. Looked good, I ordered my steak to be medium. But the center of the steak was rare, I'm surprised it didn't moo. The center of the potato looked off, as if it was cooked before today and just heated up. It didn't taste good. My Granddaughter ordered chicken tenders, which she didn't eat because they were "rubbery" when she bit into them. Cheddars has been my #1 place to go, but with such a failed dinner experience Cheddars has fallen to #10, like a hot potato. It was good till it wasn't. I'll be looking for a new Friday night dinner place! Cheddars......peace out!

I tried Cheddars in Asheville and it was amazing. Sadly, the flood took it. I found the one in Charlotte and we got delivery. We got the ribeyes with bourbon glaze. They were delicious and the cheapest I've seen in a long time being under $22.00. The loaded potatoes were good and the Caesar salads fresh. They sent along lots of condiments. We had a great eating experience!!

Very crowded but staff were hustling. Service was good considering, but floors and restaurant were not clean. Food as solid for a chain.

Not one to leave reviews, but I'd have to say the wait time was accurate, we were quick to the table. Our server was a little late getting to the table but made up for it. He was quick to tell us if we knew what we wanted to put it in cause the kitchen was behind. We ordered the Bacon Cheese Fries, they were ok... the bacon was honestly the only good part. As for our main course we ordered the Grilled Shrimp Alfredo and the Maple Bourbon Salmon, absolutely AWFUL, the salmon tasted like dish water, the pasta was overcooked. We spoke to the manager which honestly threw us for a loop cause he didn't introduce himself just came to the table and asked us if everything was ok. Made me question if he was the manager or if he was just a random person. Very loud, could probably get a contact high from the smell of dope in the place. Could be cleaner but overall we might try it again.

This was a last minute drop in since we were staying at the hotel nearby. Very disappointing as the entrance was not inviting and had a not so fresh smell. Once we sat at the bar the bartender was also not friendly and quickly let us know we had less than 15 mins to order drinks and less than an hour before the kitchen closed.Which we were ok with but the delivery of the information was a little rude. Along with the terrible service our food came out less than 10 minutes after ordering and was not fresh and cold. We had no silverware and when asked it seemed like we were being a bother.

Food is good, and it's a big restaurant. But servers need help. Not enough employees to handle the lunch rush. But overall could be a great place if they had more employees. Most people get 1 hour for lunch so waiting 30 minutes just to get seated and drinks isn't ideal.

Why can't this location do a quality check on croissants? This is the 3rd time in a row, where something was wrong. This time, they were like dry toast. How? I liken the insides to the consistency of a cheese doodle, no exaggeration. A prior visit yielded cold croissants in which, even the plate was cold. Cold enough to have the butter stiff. I don't understand how. I had 3 croissants with this order, with only one being edible without falling apart in my hand, and one disintegrated upon hitting the floor. I used to enjoy Cheddars so much that I would specifically look for it out of town. Not anymore. The Greenville NC location is terrible, too.

Chose Cheddars for lunch yesterday and it was a quite the mediocre experience. The waitress was nice and attentive but the food just wasn't good. The complimentary croissants we received shortly after being sat were cold and topped with way too much butter for my liking. We were just popping in for a quick bite to eat and decided to share a platter. Ribs for my bf and chicken tenders for myself. He enjoyed the ribs but we both agreed the chicken tenders were pretty bad. I ate one and he had 1/2 of one. They weren't worth finishing. Lots of batter, a greasy taste and just not a good tender. The sides were good. We got mashed potatoes and corn. The restaurant wasn't busy but the food took about 30 min to be delivered. We paid on the machine because no one ever brought a check to the table. This restaurant was a convenient choice after shopping nearby but not a place I'd add to my list of places to return.

the honey butter croissants were sooooo good. I got the loaded potato soup, broc cheese casserole, bacon cheese fries, buffalo chicken wrappers, and a pain killer. my friend had a margarita. Matt at the bar makes an awesome drink! and great prices. also the food was all delish. service was great. bathrooms were clean! not from Gastonia but I'd definitely come back.

Horrible service just left cause the waiter never showed up but was helping people that came in 10 minutes after we did. Never coming back or my family. Shut this place down.

Great taste, i had the new Orleans pasta it only had 5 shrimp, 6 chicken, and like 7 sausage, extremely small meat options buh alot of pasta, delicious savory, slightly spicy, customer service was exquisite, i recommend asking for more meats to really enjoy the meal, beautiful restaurant the establishment is well made

I was here but it was too crowded and the wait time was too long, something like 45 mins. I have been here before they do have good food. My advice is if you want to try any good restaurant in Charlotte to eat you better go during the week or early like before dinner time if you planing to go on the weekend start on Friday. 5/8/23 I ordered the baby back ribs, broccoli, and the loaded bake potato. The ribs fell off the bone, the baked potato, and broccoli was good. I want to come back and try the chicken pot pie. The men's bathroom was clean and stocked. The waiter that we had was awesome. I wish I could remember his name.

incredible!!! ive only been twice and the service was incredible. I went today with my boyfriend and our server was so sweet. she complimented us, gave us a free to-go drink, made good conversation, it was lovely. and the atmosphere of the building was great, it's a beautiful establishment and its very clean!!! prices were good and food portions are large and food is delicious!!!! i would recommend taking your time to go here, perfect place to eat!

The hostess quickly sat us. The ambiance is really nice. If it's busy you can tell it gets a little loud. I love the hot croissants. They were right on point. The Texas margarita and cheddars painkiller was watered down and took about 10 mins to get to us. Not far behind was the food. It was good the only down fall was the sides we ordered baked potatoes and broccoli casserole were cold. The seafood was made hot and ready. The waitress was nice.

We ordered to-go from Cheddars last night only to arrive home and discover that one of our orders was completely wrong! On top of that I attempted to call to have the situation rectified only to be placed on hold then hung up on. Our food was not good and was not right I do not recommend at all.

The service and professionalism in this cheddars location is trash! I hope I just caught them on a bad night. Bartender and some waitresses seemed very frustrated and overwhelmed. To the point where they were using profanity around customers (F bombs). Just seemed real chaotic.

Waitress was very nice. Baked potato soup yummy with lots of potato chunks. Caesar salad fresh and tasty but more dressing than I like. My friend liked the chicken tender salad. Great fry job on the chicken. Ribs were tasty too! Oh I forgot about the best part those honey buttered croissants. Delish!

I went to college in this area and decided to bring my group here for some team building pre engagement time! And I'm glad I did! The food came out superrrr fast! One of my favorite items here is the honey butter croissants, let's just say that hasn't changed much! Great service and very affordable pricing!

Worse Cheddars I have ever been to! This place was terrible from the start. Dirty restaurant, staff clothes dirty, baggy, and unprofessional looking. Sat in bar area 10 minute greet, ordered drinks and appetizers. Chip's greasy, queso watered down, tenders NOT hand breaded. Burger was dry and burnt definitely been cooked and sitting prior to us, chicken fried steak ok, mashed cold and been sitting for a while, drinks too forever. Managers standing around bar not running drinks or talking to guests. Hard to believe this is a Cheddars.

Sitting back off Harris Blvd in the university area you will find cheddars scratch kitchen, this place has been around for a while, even after all the restaurants on either side of of it have gone out of business numerous times. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly, the menu has a decent selection and the food is pretty good. I've eaten here many times and usually get the buffalo chicken wrap, but the other things I've had have been pretty good as well. I've seen that this place had gotten a B on their report card several times in the past, but they always fix the problems and get their A rating back. They stay pretty busy, so expect to wait a bit to be seated. But once you are seated, they bring you some amazing honey butter croissants which have always been good.

Accomodation of 30 received with ease . Service was phenomenal. Food was great with the various entrees. The Ambiance was a standout. We enjoyed our luncheon very much.

I had to order a vegetable plate because there is absolutely nothing vegan on the menu. Most places will have a vegan burger or some other vegan item. House salad had cheese and eggs on it and had to send it back. Not a good start. Veggies are good. Broccoli is perfect, carrots were not mushy and corn was good. Could not eat a the fries. Too much food. Waiter was very friendly and courteous.

Was hungry after a long drive and saw this place on the way so decided go give it a try. Service and food was ok. I liked that they had a wide variety of options and they advertise everything from scratch. Food had a decent flavor. Overall an ok outing

Sat in the bar and had the chicken fried chicken and swapped one of the sides for the broccoli cheddar casserole. It had rice in it, reminded me of rice a roni, and not in a good way. The chicken was fried well and appreciated the gravy on the side without asking. Mashed potatoes were good. The Tito's watermelon drink was cheap and delicious! Service was good, very attentive! Cheap for the amount of food you get!
