"In the last two decades the shops along the narrow alleys and cobbled streets of Kazimierz have attracted a variety of artists who have set up their businesses here as the neighbouhood has become Krakow's bohemian quarter. Visitors can now spend several hours happily browsing the shops along Ulica Jozefa. Cheder Caféoffers Middle Eastern snacks and is decorated in a contemporary style that is unmistakably Jewish in character and feels like a relaxed library."

Not a pleasant experience. We had to wait almost an hour for our breakfast - in an almost empty restaurant. Guests who arrived after us had already finished their meal before we got anything to eat. Meanwhile, the three (not very cheerful) waiters spent most of their time sitting outside the door drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes in the sun. The food was ok, but the proportions were very manageable. No recommendation.

Very cozy café lined with books. It is dimly lit and plays soft music. I found it perfect for a focused afternoon of work on my laptop. The rose Baklava is delicious!

A place with great atmosphere. Lots of books and a place to sit on a special carpet with small tables. They serve traditional coffee, sweats and food great for breakfast

This cozy coffee shop in Kazimierz is such a nice place to visit. The inside feels very unique and authentic, and their menu design is super cute, which makes it even better. The coffee was really tasty too, so I was happy with that. The only thing I did not love was that the baristas did not seem very positive. I understand that people can be tired, but a smile or a little more enthusiasm would make the experience even nicer for customers. It is just a small thing, but it really makes a difference. Overall, it is a lovely spot for good coffee and a nice atmosphere in Kazimierz!

This is such a lovely cafe/restaurant. They have incredible and unusual lemonades (we had a rose and a fig lemonade). We also ordered a large mezze platter and it was really great! The Hummus was creamy, the Labneh was very tasty and slightly tangy and everything tasted perfectly balanced in general. It just tasted really amazing! Nothing you expect to get really full from but perfect if you are just a little hungry or a light meal for a hot day. Also very vegan friendly. We also tried the tea, which was also truly amazing. The atmosphere is very comfortable, calm and laid back.

Nicely set up cafe. Food was presented beautifully & I was happy to be able to eat some labneh and try baba ghanoush. The pitta was a bit dry, but the food was good otherwise. The coffee was nice, too. Nice selection of books as well including siddurim and tanakhim.

The Cheder (Hebrew for “room”) is a small and very cozy café located in Krakow’s Jewish quarter, Kazimierz. Apart from various breakfast options, the café also offers a good selection of mezze, Hebrew coffee with cardamom and spices, delicious homemade lemonades and even Israeli wines. If you like, you can also sit on the cozy cushions on the floor. Once you have found a comfortable spot inside the café, you can order at the counter (self-service). Communication in English was not a problem; card payments are accepted. A very unique spot that immediately makes you feel at ease.

Wonderful little cafe in a corner of Krakow. Really enjoyed the atmosphere surrounded by books and the kids loved it too. Would definitely recommend for the interesting variety of teas from around the Middle East. Families and groups of up to about 10 welcomed. Sensible prices too.

Yelp
This was the most beautiful cafe of all time. I absolutely adored it there! There was ambient music playing, plenty of plants, books lining the shelves, etc. I loved the area where you could sit on the ground with pillows. The menu is mostly Jewish/Middle Eastern food and a lot of tea and coffee options. I chose a large black coffee for 12 PLN and it was excellent. And cheaper than the mainstream cafes like Starbucks and costa. There was free fast wifi and outlets to use. There toilet was clean. Service was nice. I spent a good amount of time in the cafe just hanging out, doing some reading, and enjoying the atmosphere. Would recommend!

Yelp
A trendy place in Kazmierz, the old Jewish quarter of Krakow, Cheder is a great option to have a light lunch. We ordered pitta bread with a number of side dishes including humus, tahini, carrots and cucumber which didn't cost that much at all. Despite the light lunch I would see it as more of a coffee shop as they have free wi-fi and lots of people sitting around for prolonged periods on laptops. Worth checking out if you are in the area!

Yelp
I really like the place- is located in Kazimierz district but in the part I like the most. Place itself is very nicely decorated and somehow familiar ...:) It brought me some memories. While sipping my milk & honey drink I read the book from the library located in there and also later on took part in special event. All was prepared so well and food - humous and wine and olives were delicious. It was such lovely evening and it was so calm and service was so friendly. I like the idea of having wine testing evening too and also before I was listening to Jewish traditional music and took a stroll around district- all put me in different mood and lift me up a bit - because I am in miserable condition due to other problems- visit in Cheder brought a bit light to me...:)

Yelp
Very unique coffee shop in Kazimierz, serving traditional Israeli coffee in Finjan kettles with spices and sugar. I tried the chocolate cake, which was super tasty.

Yelp
The setting and Israeli coffee were quite interesting. What ruins the experience is not having enough people working at the cafe. Most people had to wait for a long time to receive their order.

Yelp
A really good place to sit or work, with a super-eclectic selection of music. I once heard a Jewish Cowboy singer singing about Yom Kippur on the range on the stereo. Their spicy Israeli coffee is delicious as is their Israeli Tea with fresh mint leaves. Have a slice of baclava, and chill out on the rugs and pillows with the low tables on the stage.

Yelp
A spacious but cosy jewish cafe that is easily ignored as you pass by the Jozefa street if you are not aware of its existence, yet quite popular in the Kazimierz cafe scene from wyat I have gathered. Excellent location for some afternoon tea and reading in a well lit atmosphere around the tables during the day. The staff is always welcoming and very friendly. I just wish they had a few more tables as I do think there would be space to accommodate it without ruining the ambience..!

Yelp
THE best coffee I've ever had. I'm a coffee snob, so that says a lot. I had been staying in the center of Krakow over the summer, which to people who know Krakow, is a super touristy spot. A friend and I decided it was time to get out of the center of Krakow and explore the surrounding neighborhoods. We ended up going to Kazimierz and check out the cafe and restaurant scene. We just happened to stumble upon Cheder--as we were in desperate need of caffeine. Walking in, It has a really inviting and cozy with authentic Jewish charm. We sat down on a bench with a table and comfy pillows. We loved how they were playing 60's pop in the background, which made it an fun place to chill and relax. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the Israeli coffee. Expecting a small up of coffee, the barista brings out a large vintage-looking pot of coffee. It was honestly SO good. It was spiced to perfection. The presentation was incredible too. I enjoyed every sip of it. The baristas there were really nice too. My friend and I could only speak minimal Polish, so the baristas were patient enough as we ordered. Even helped us with our Polish. This coffee shop is definitely going to be a hard one to top in the States.

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic place with nice and cozy interior, well blended coffee and world's best hummus (probably), then you are on a right spot. Thanks to reasonable pricing you won't pay too much for this experience. 5 our of 5 for sure!

Yelp
Another warm, inviting place in Kazimerz with great coffee and delightful small plate offerings. Billed as a middle-eastern cafe, here you will find Israeli and Turkish coffee, hummus, tepenada, baklava, etc. A good place to relax and recharge your batteries.

Yelp
Cool/unfriendly service is bad service. Period. Food was good and the interior was very cool, but service was very cold and unwelcoming. Really left a chill. Can not recommend and definitely would not return.

Yelp
Quaint charming Jewish inspired cafe on the corner of Jozefa and Jakuba in the heart of Kazimierz. Fresh daily baked baklava, pita sandwich bites, refreshing Moroccan mint tea, and and an eclectic little library of everything Polish-Jewish. There are frequently scheduled live music sessions, talks, and classes here too.
