Recently visited Cheers Restaurant in Bury St Edmunds, and what can I say, this place is awesome! We went in last minute without a booking to see if we could get a table, but the extremely polite staff said it was full, as we could see, but still offered a later time which worked out perfectly, so we went to the pub next door for a couple of drinks. Anyway, when we returned our table was ready and OMG the menu, the food, experience and overall service was flawless. Love the concept too, cooking your own food at your table including the well seasoned steaks and lamb, so you can have it exactly as you like it, rare, medium, well done. Since the steak on hot stone seems to be one of the signature dishes, we opted for the Rump, to be cooked by ourselves on the hot stone at the table (all you can eat). It turned out to be the right decision and we enjoyed it very much, although not all of the pieces we were given were equally tender, but overall the quality was good. The French Fries served with the meat were great, with just the right crisp. I'm usually not too keen on "all you can eat" options, as I'm not that great an eater, but on this occasions it was the right decision, as it turned out to be really great value for the money and was also fun at the same time. Great place for meat lovers!

Impressed! Had the tomahawk for two, and the friendliness and quality here was noteworthy. Best steak I've had in years, and I was suprised by how obviously fresh the fries were while still being offered enough to choke a hippo. Opens late too which is useful to fit around a busy night.

Suggested to us by one of our daughters. You can not fault these guys and girls at all . The food was absolutely gorgeous we had tomahawk steak with sides followed by the best desserts .we also had three cocktails. Total bill £72 which is outstanding. Dont just walk past this place looking in as you walk by, stop go in book a table trust us you will not regret it at all

This is the place we run to any time we crave steak. You get literally unlimited steak slices for only around £30. Worth mentioning their starters and drinks are also part of this deal. Its our family tradition to come here at least twice a year . Love and will always come back !

l’ll recommend to anyone who loves a good bit of steak and eat all you can steak who visited Bury St. Edmunds. It was our first time to eat in here at Cheers. Great food and friendly staff despite of being packed and busy. The experience cooking your meat on stone is really refreshing. I’ll be back soon.

Absolutely awful. The steak was very cheap and the sides that went with it were bland and boring. The chips were clearly cheap frozen french fries and there was a really odd bowl of what can only be described as tasteless black baked beans. The sangria tasted like over-concentrated blackcurrant squash. Atmosphere was bad and the waiting team were cold and miserable. Generally a very bad experience for almost £80 for two people. Would not go back again.

Working away in Bury St Edmunds and somehow went on a run and stumbled upon this fine establishment it’s some of the greatest service I’ve ever received all thanks to Cassie and Maria and wow the steak was something to remember some of the best I’ve ever had. My self and my colleague savoured every mouthful as if it was our last meal on deaths row. Again thanks to cassie and Maria for making it happen

We had a great night out here with friends. Absolutely enjoyed the food and wine. Service was excellent and we ate and drank much as possible. Definitely recommend it, great value for money. Can't wait to go back x

First time going yesterday and it was completely smokey, like toxic smoke. They need a better ventilating system in this place. Also, we threw a going away and I ordered menu set 1 and never even got my coleslaw salad, rice, or beans... the meat is bland... it's just a total waste of money. I think the reason why it's so big is because they serve endless sangria if you order off of their all you can eat menu.

We made reservations for 7 pm. I feel that it was smart to do but on a Monday was not needed. After being seated promptly we were presented with two menus and a drink list. The small menu is their specialty with two choices. Both choices were all you care to eat and drink. The other menu was for an ala carte fare. We all choice the same all you carry to eat item. We started out with delicious warm fills olives and a sliced sausage. After an appropriate time the course was removed and a hot stone heated with stereo was placed in the center of the table and each person was given sliced and cut raw steak for us to cook as we wished. Fries coleslaw black beans and rice were the sides. I almost forgot, There was a constant supply of Sangria along with as much steak as you wish. The only limitation to the free flowing Sangria was that you had to be eating as well. The service was excellent. The price was exceptional at less than £25 per person. The only negative aspect was the smoke created by grilling at your table.
