Nice little cheese shop with a good variety of selections and knowledgeable staff. - credit card minimum $10; - closed Mondays during summer.

Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be. I noticed it by the fact that I live so close yet I rarely go there. Why? Because it is not a pleasant experience there. Staff is rude, slow and not helpful. Every time you walk into this shop, they make you feel like you owe them something. They also have unreliable hours. Several times I stopped by when Google Maps says they are open and they were close. There is a much better cheese place down the block- Mr Vino Cucina. I like to get my cheeses from them and their staff is so sweet and kind.

I used to live in the area and 30 years ago I moved to Mexico. Every time I come back to Forest Hills I have to have to visit this store!! Everyone is very knowledgeable about all of the cheeses and the products they sell. The prices are very reasonable. I left the store with a smile knowing that I'll always be eating well.

Wow what a pleasant surprise! I used to go to this store many years ago but stopped after the business was sold and quality was icky. Today the place was bustling, the staff were very nice and helpful and everything we bought was delicious and fresh tasting. Thank goodness for this place! So glad you guys have turned things around!

Oh my goodness! When I walked in I felt like I died and went to cheese Heaven! The cheese selection is amazing! There is practically every cheese known to man here and the best part is you can sample as much cheese as you want! The lady who helped us (Nelly) was so nice and she knew everything about cheese! She was patient with us as she gave us sample after sample of exquisite, glorious cheese! She even gave recommendations on cheese pairings! After we decided on our cheeses we even got a free fresh baguette with our purchase! I am a cheese lover by birth but this place took my love of cheese to the next level! I can't wait to go back and get more cheeses! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Wish I could've given less than 1 star! The Oriental dude meeting shoppers entering this store is a d!ck! VERY UNWELCOMING! I walked into the store to purchase something, didn't have cash, and the purchase price was less than the minimum card payment allowed. I decided to leave to get cash, and this is where it got interesting. As I was about to walk out, this dude questioned whether I put the items I wanted to purchase back onto the shelves. He clearly saw, and I told him I placed them back. I had to empty my pockets to convince him I did. The purchase price for the items were roughly $7, and this just made me feel very embarrassed. I, honestly, go to this store because it's closer to my house, however, that was my last time. Their prices are very inflated, and their selections of cheese are mediocre. I would much rather go to Astoria Beer and Cheese!...much better shop!

A well run business. They keep a record of your purchases and make recommendations. Willing to provide samples, and are very helpful. They have crackers and meats to go along with all the cheese. Small shop, but definitely worth the time.

Bought some garlic brie (rather salty), aged manchego (this is very good) & some crackers. Kind of pricey as 4 items added up to almost $45
