Came at lunchtime with my husband and met Charlotte ( what a blessing!). She gave excellent service, attentive, patient and kind. We had hard time deciding from their regular menu because everything looked sooo good. Charlotte told us about their specials. She even gave tips to make my husband's Philly cheesesteak irresistible (ask Charlotte, she has all the recommendations!). Needless to say we were beyond ecstatic about the presentation, flavors, and quality of the food.

Google
Amazing in every way. Amazingly varied menu, excellent service (thanks Reagan!), and mind-blowing food. This is our favorite place on St. Croix. Don't hesitate - GO!

Google
I was glad to see this place was still in existence as it was the go to for our group from the refinery back in the day. Atmosphere is still great. It was a breezy evening so mosquitoes were at bay and I enjoyed great conversation with friends over wine. Our waitress was amazing.

Google
Loved it... great outdoor space for locals and tourists. The food was so good. We had the smashed cheeseburger and the pimento chicken. Large portions and lots of flavor. Loved the pimento cheese and chips. Drinks were fun and refreshing.

Google
A cook didn't show so we waited 90 minutes for our food. We just got off a sail so the wait sucked. The pictures of the tall drinks don't exist anymore so take it off Facebook. Food was good except the fried pickles yuck. Rings were great and slaw. Buffalo wings were very good

Google
Signature angus burger with cheese was properly cooked as medium rare. A little messy which is a good sign. Sweet potato fries and onion rings were good. Painkilla’ was nicely made, but lacked the kick Pussers rum provides. As atmosphere goes, it’s picnic tables under a tent. Common practice, but not special. Our waitress, Marissa, was upbeat and personable. Staff can make or break a restaurant, and Marissa did well with a variety of personalities around us. Update Feb 2025: Another visit, another great experience more great staff, thank you Angela! Pimpin’ Chicken was excellent and almost sized for 2 people; the candied bacon was also fire, but really more an appetizer size (can 2 pieces of bacon really be “an entire half-pound”?) Together, these were a great pair of menu items for 2 people.

VERY GOOD FOOD We have been coming back here as a safe choice because we love it so much. I’ve gotten different things and all have just been so good. The tocos are to die for

Fun time and good food in St Croix. Definitely worth the drive. Loved it. Put it on your list!!

Yelp
Such a fun and tasty place for celebrating! Remember where you are & order like the locals. From the delicious basil lemon iced tea to the incredible specials each night, this is the place to go for comfortable fun food in a truly relaxing atmosphere. No need to dress up, in true Caribbean spirit. The service is laid-back and fun with at the bar with Toby bartending and Mia watching over us. We had the tuna special, which was the best and largest piece of tuna I have ever had at a restaurant! Underneath was a lovely mash of wasabi potatoes with a creative twist. Also had some delicious grilled-up broccoli rob. The best 'welcome to St. Croix' meal without a doubt! The staff is casual and which means when you need catch their eye raise your hand a bit to let them know. You can relax island style. don't forget to order the special desserts, which look like they frequently with the freshest ingredients. a delicious ending in paradise!

Yelp
Great ambiance, fun music, best smash burger ever! Super casual and affordable, outdoor covered restaurant. It's great that it's open, I missed it last year. So many locals enjoy this place. They do takeout too, but stay if there's music.

Yelp
I'm giving them four stars purely on faith. I wrote my original review in 2017, which is more than SEVEN YEARS AGO. Things change. As did the ownership of this cute little establishment. Imagine my surprise, then, when i got a message from the new owners asking that I review my review. I really can't do that, as I'm nowhere near St. Croix, nor do I have plans to be. What I CAN do is urge YELPers! to apply some common sense. My original review is ancient, so please take it with a grain or several of salt. The new owners said they're determined to provide a five-star experience, and I wish them well. I hope they're successful, but I can't vouch for any of that myself. Maybe give 'em a try and share your (much more current) experiences here.

Yelp
We visited this place on New Year's Eve and it wasn't too crowded. We tried to have a meal here the night before but it was extremely busy, the waitstaff was frazzled, and they were out of several food options. Second time is a charm I suppose! Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. Their bartenders truly give you the island pour in their rum punches! I had the cheeseburger with potato salad. The potato salad was tangy and yummy. The cheeseburger was mouthwatering - they certainly do it right! My husband enjoyed his chicken sandwich and fries. He also liked their variety of Leatherback beers. They have live music or entertainment most nights. Definitely a fun vibe!
google avatar

Audrey U.

Yelp
Wait staff were great, and the bartender was really cool. Great outdoor vibe with some amazing drinks. I had the lemongrass tea with a splash of vodka. Yum!! Burger was great - it was a fried chicken burger, with delicious coleslaw!

Daisy B.

Yelp
We are locals and this place was terrible the first time we came back in April 2024. We came back and once again they forgot my entire Mahi Sandwhich and forgot my beef tallow so we lost some money on all of that only to find a human grey hair in our brussel sprouts and animal hairs attached to the red bell peppers in my husbands sausage sandwhich. We gave our food to some homeless in Christianstad and would not recommend this place strictly on hygiene alone let alone all the order mess ups. Absolutely disgusting.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Food was great. We had burgers & fries + sweet potato fries. I even got my GF bun! The portions were generous & the rum punch (although pricey) and rum pineapple were great. The atmosphere was inviting and chill with music that was nice but not overly loud. I recommend it
google avatar

Joshua C.

Yelp
The location is decent, and the food was good. Our waiter was friendly and provided great service. However, the portions, particularly the burgers, are on the smaller side. A solid spot overall if you're not too hungry.
google avatar

Julia N.

Yelp
Ordered the special fried chicken sandwich with pimiento cheese and fried Jalapenos. The chicken was cooked perfectly and this sandwich was awesome! Wife had the mahi sandwich which was also cooked perfectly. They have fans everywhere making it very comfortable. Highly recommend. New owners are killing it.

Jennie S.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and service from Mr. Benson was great. Drinks were ice cold and the banana bushwacker was amazing and refreshing.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic! Get the homemade pimento cheese! Smashburger and mahi sandwich were both excellent. Will be back for dinner specials.

Yelp
For 20+ years we've visited this restaurant several times while vacationing in St Croix. Had been closed for a couple of years but, now open under new ownership. Was glad to see it reopen until we stopped for a snack one afternoon. We ordered the double cheeseburger special with grilled onions for $19. Sure a little pricy but, you have to expect that on an island. We were planning on splitting 50/50 to hold us over till dinner. They use to ask how you wanted it cooked-med, well done, etc. NOT anymore. When we received our order I was shocked! I asked if maybe the order was wrong because we got a kiddie burger! That's right! No bigger than a junior burger from Wendy's. In fact it was probably smaller. We were told no- the order was correct. Now making a trip to the islands every year we realize food costs more. We also realize we should get a grown-up portion for the price we're paying. Didn't happen here! We went down the road a ways to order the other half of our snack. Very disappointing that a place that such a great reputation can't live up to the old standards. It's a one and done for us for this place. If you want a kiddie meal this is the place for you but, you better hurry as I suspect it won't be in business long once the word gets out.

Yelp
Man o' man, what a find. I was in a bit of a time crunch, so I called in my to-go order. It was very simple and easy. I ordered the Triple da Meat Burger with a side of potato salad. I got a piece of their key like pie to top it off. My order was ready by the time I got there. The place has a huge outdoor covered dining area. There was a lot of seating available. They also have a huge private parking lot to park in. The staff there was very friendly and helpful, got me in and out. They use to have live music here. I do not know if they are still going that though. You are greeted by the aroma of fresh grilled burgers when you arrive. They have like a barbecue joint feel to the place. My burger was amazing. One of the best that I have had in a while. It was juicy and pack with flavor on top of flavor. It was huge too. Very filling. I will admit that it was a bit messy, but more than worth it. The potato salad was the same way. I had not had potato salad that tasted like that in forever. I highly recommend it. My meal was 3 for 3, because the Lime Pie was the same way, scrumptious. This restaurant is a tad off of the beaten path, but well worth the trip. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and hope to make it back there real soon.

Yelp
Big, Juicy, fresh, good quality hamburgers right here! Can't beat 'em' best burgers in the Virgin Islands . Wife likes the chicken sandwhich, thanks.

Yelp
We attended Bingo and the announcer was hilarious! 5 stars for him. Even when someone got upset with him because they weren't paying attention to their own card and called bingo too-late, he kept his composure. My only suggestion is that the menu could be bigger and better. The sweet potato fries and mahi sandwich were awesome but the rest of our table wanted more of a selection, especially different appetizers. We will definitely be back to hear this young man call some more bingo. Our server was very attentive also, just a small menu.

Debbie W.

Yelp
We went to Cheeseburgers last evening and all 6 of us enjoyed the food, and the service. Mia did a great job. She was energetic and made sure we all had a good experience. We will go back!
google avatar

Martha S.

Yelp
So glad Cheeseburgers is open again and doing banner business. Had a tasty burger and one of the best salads I've had on island. Thanks Cheeseburgers!

Yelp
A great roadside restaurant that serves great burgers and chicken. Very friendly staff. Try their coleslaw, it is very good.

Yelp
Decent restaurant on vacation service is passive but consistent.

Yelp
Excellent food and great service. There was one cook, one server, and one bartender. We had the California Mahi burger and a Tex Mex burger. They were delicious!! The pain killers were delicious and STRONG.
google avatar

Bridget O.

Yelp
OMG, mouth-watering burgers!!! So juicy and just delicious! More roosters serenading us under the outdoor tents. Great vibe and super friendly staff. This is a must go!

Yelp
After reading a lot of good reviews I was hopeful this would be a repeatable option since it's close to our place. Sadly they fell very short on service and quality. It's more of a bar than restaurant. On the up side: Big burgers. (See pic1) Must've been close to 1/2pound. The prices were remarkably friendly in most cases compared to the overpriced C'stad boardwalk. On the downside: $8 chips and salsa is 15 chips and a whole jar of salsa. (See pic2). We had to ask twice for this app to be delivered while we waited for dinner. This longer than necessary wait for your food made us realize the drive down to Shupe's is worth it again. There were 2 other tables and a handful of bar patrons, half with food already when we arrived. It should not have taken almost an hour for our 2 burgers.
google avatar

Alyssa C.

Yelp
The service was good, and the atmosphere was a good casual outdoor place! It had parking right in front of the building, which was nice. The food we got was decent not amazing but not bad either. The cheeseburger was alright, the California burger was good, the nachos okay just was expecting more than just cheese and chips, and chicken sandwich was grilled and decent. The fries were good!!
google avatar

Rooty T.

Yelp
What a crap show! On a Monday, 30 minute wait to order, 20 minute wait for drinks and another 20 minute wait for food. And it's not that busy! THE MANAGER SHOULD BE FIRED!
google avatar

Agie L.

Yelp
This is a huge burger joint lots of fries and good old fashioned cheeseburgers . There's more in the menu but we've been sticking with the burgers Its all open to the outdoors so they generously supply mosquito repellent .

Yelp
December 9th, 2020. Lunch Not a good experience but I'm giving it a 3 rather than 2 because the food was good. Service....horrible. Our server was a light skinned early 30's female. We sat down in the bar area under a tent attached to the bar. She was sitting between the bar and the kitchen. She had her mask on (good thing) and spoke loudly in our direction that was unintelligible. My wife nor I could understand and we said we didn't understand. She came over and told us to put our masks on and that she "got yelled at because people weren't putting their mask on while she was at the table." We complied. She asked if we wanted rinks or food and we said both. She told us we were were in the smoking section we said we didn't care. She went and got us some menus and told us that wasn't her section. I asked where the bartender was and she pointed to another area (towards the road) and made a comment about her "always talking too much". I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Burger very good, thick, cooked perfectly and the fries were hot and crispy. My wife wanted a chicken sandwich but without bread (gluten intolerant). She asked for it to be wrapped in a lettuce leaf instead. Server said they didn't do that. Wife explained "just put the chicken between two leaves of lettuce or put it to the side". She said they didn't do that. After my wife's persistence she said "I can tell the cook but he's cranky so probably won't do it." She got her chicken and it was perfectly prepared as requested. I was drinking a beer an it was easy to tell when it was near empty. The server sat at her table and played with her phone. I had to ask the bartender for refills twice. I paid my bill and didn't tip the server. However, I went to the bartender and gave her cash and said "This is for you, not for her. She cranky." She paused, pursed her lips behind her mask and said, "Thank you.Sorry about that." She chose NOT to talk ill of her coworkers quite unlike our server. The bartender was white, female, late 40's and trim...nice lady. We'll be back as this was a fluke. Even though we've only been on the island 10 days we're stopped here 5 times for drinks. Zooka is very pleasant and Sam seemed nice too. This gal...she needs to adjust her 'tude.

Yelp
I had been dubious because of the name, but I am happy to be proved wrong. We ate at Cheeseburgers our first night back on the island and everyone came away happy. That night the Sprossling decided to eat nachos pretty much exclusively during his vacation. It wasn't as horrible a parenting decision as it seems, since the nachos came with plenty of green stuff (as did nearly all of the other orders he had during the week). I had a straight up bacon cheeseburger, medium. It came with everything a burger should have. I had slaw on the side. Our vegetarian had the veggie burger, which he was pleased with. I am blanking on the other two -- if I recall I will come back and amend this review. Staff was friendly, speedy, attentive, and competent. CIP has totally made our island roster!
google avatar

Theo R.

Yelp
I enjoy the food here. We used to hear a live musician- hopefully we will again soon. Food is always good and very reasonably priced. Great food and friendly vibe. You see regulars there all the time- it is like Cheers island style!
google avatar

Sadee X.

Yelp
This place was my last meal while in STX. We started with the chips with salsa and guacamole. Both the salsa and the guac seemed like they came out of a jar. Mediocre. Definitely not worth the price tag. I got the SMOB. Swiss, mushroom, onion, and bacon. The beef patty was large and cooked to my liking. However the mushrooms were green, as if they came from a can. The bacon seemed like the frozen, already cooked kind that was re-heated. Everything was OK. Edible, but I wouldn't come back.

Yelp
This was the 1st place my family ate at when arriving to the island. It's a nice place for a casual meal. We didn't want anything fancy and it was one of the few places open on a Sunday evening. The evening started off in the usual manner of being greeted and seated by a friendly waitress. She took our drink order, which the drinks were delicious (rum punches and pina coladas). From there the evening became very L O N G. It took about 45+mins for our food to arrive to the table, including the appetizer. The only saving grace is that the food was delicious, seasoned perfectly!! I don't know if we will visit again but that's because we have many other places to try.
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
Do not order the nachos! Just a plate of stale chips with melted cheese on top. Overall the food was overpriced for what we got and service was slow.
google avatar

Matthew F.

Yelp
This place has a great steak! The burgers aren't bad either. The bar staff are friendly and quick with the drinks. This place is awesome!

Justin G.

Yelp
This place is so good. The burgers are amazing, so thick and juicy. The fries though were just another level. They also had a great mahi sandwich. Other things for the whole family. I was very impressed.
google avatar

M H.

Yelp
Really good place for a burger! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere has a very authentic island feel! Just a cool place for a burger and a beer. Lots of folks there seem to know each other and live on the island. The owners/management knew lots of their customers.
google avatar

Jane C.

Yelp
Amazing the Bomb burger. Delicious and flavorful. Great roadside restaurant....a must!

Roger R.

Yelp
I have no idea why this place has such a low rating. I love Cheeseburgers in America's Paradise. You can't make a better Cheeseburger...unless you like your burgers tasteless fast food with sliver of frozen so-called meat. Those from Cheeseburger's in Paradise must be half a pound of fresh prime beef that tastes fabulous. If you don't like this burger then maybe you should stick with MacDonalds. I've been eating at Cheeseburgers in America's Paradise for many years. Big thick burgers cooked to your taste, choice of cheese and all the trimmings. It's the only place to go for a fabulous homemade cheese burger. Five Star all the way.
google avatar

Santhia R.

Yelp
Good burgers , rude service Been here many times and usually is an older lady that is a sweetheart today that wasn't the case
google avatar

Patrick R.

Yelp
It's not half bad, but it's not great. It's a solid hamburger that tastes like your dad grilled it out back. There's also good potato salad. However, for the one hour wait, I expected a lot more, and I definitely expected my burger medium rare as ordered, not well done as received. You could do worse as far as burgers go, but I think sampling the island's Crucian fare is a better bet.
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
Stopped here for a few burgers, fries, and adult beverages at this roadside restaurant. Service was phenomenal. I didn't get the blonde lady's name, but she made us feel so welcome and even got us to take a photo with our drinks hahaha We all have ordered cheeseburgers, fries/coleslaw, and customized them a bit to our liking. Mom and Dad had beers while I had a lime in da coconut and then a black cherry cosmo. Oh and water, because you gotta hydrate while in this heat! Burgers were great. Well cooked, lots of fresh toppings, and plenty of cheese! Plentiful side of crispy fries or coleslaw. You're not eating in a parking lot, contrary to the other review. You're under huge tents, with plenty of seating, and a small area for the kids to play. Definitely stop by for a burger and a beverage!
google avatar

Yelp
We ate here twice while staying in St. Croix. The service was exceptional and the food was really good. Brenda took great care of us the first time we came in. We had a burger with a side of chips and salsa (the salsa was smoky and delicious) and tried the Mahi Reuben, which initially sounded strange but was intriguing so I took the plunge. It was well worth it. The key lime pie for dessert was great and custardy as well. We were in town for the Ironman 70.3 and Brenda asked about that and offered much encouragement. I told her to look for me as I rode by the next day. After the race we had to go back in for another burger and some nachos. Brenda seemed very excited to see us again and was ecstatic when I told her about my race experience. Our meal the second time around was awesome as well. The nachos were really tasty and the portion was huge and my burger was out of this world. We will definitely be back the next time we are on the island!

Yelp
Just around the corner from our resort sits Cheeseburgers in America's Paradise. Everytime we drove by, the parking lot was consistently full with locals and tourists aching for their yummy burgers so we just knew we had to check it out for lunch one day. We arrived one hot and sunny (oh wait, when is it not hot and sunny here?) afternoon and sat at a table under the tent. The cool breeze certainly helped relieve the heat as well as the cold drinks we promptly received. I ordered a burger with bacon and blue cheese and the rest of my fam also ordered theirs with blue cheese. The burgers arrived - hot, thick and juicy, cooked to my preferred temperature. The meat itself kind of reminded me more of meatloaf than a burger so I wasn't necessarily blown away by the burger here but if you come expecting decent burgers, fries and sandwiches, you'll leave happy. The atmosphere is a big draw here; as I mentioned before it's an outdoor area, big airy tents/canopies, picnic bench style tables as well as round tables with huge umbrellas. There is a stage for live music and the service is really friendly. Yes, it's a little bit of paradise with a side of cheeseburger...:happy sigh:.

Yelp
We've been a few times but this last time was most memorable. We decided to build our own burgers with lots of cheese, toppings, and even an extra burger patty or 2! They were delivered exactly as ordered and satisfied our need for grease. Check out the pictures I posted of 2 of the burgers. The atmosphere was laid back as always. The bugs stayed away thanks to the ample amount of Off we all used. Although we didn't have any room for dessert they brought us a couple to share anyway and boy were they delicious! A big thank you to the nicest staff ever! Overall, yet another good time at Cheeseburgers in America's Paradise!

Yelp
This place was ok, but overpriced for the quality. Now, I don't eat beef so this might be a total different story when it comes to their burgers. My mom and I both got the mahi reuben and a margarita. The mahi reuben was good and filled me up, but not something I would tell someone they had to try. The fries were warm, but definitely needed a little salt. I got the banana margarita and my Mom got the mango margarita. As far as the drinks are concerned, the fruit flavor wasn't very distinct and just kinda bland lacking sugar. The bill with tip was close to $50. I feel we could have chosen somewhere else, and got a better meal for that kind of money.

Myles C.

Yelp
This was a great surprise. It was raining when we got there. You eat outside under canopy tents things. So when you get caught in the rain in the Caribbean, of course you have pina coladas. They were simple, and gooooood. The hamburgers are huge. I like mine medium rare but most places over cook it. Not here. Perfect. The Bomb burger is delicious. Such a great way to spend a rainy afternoon

Yelp
This restaurant was super close to our Villa. Making it an easy go to for meals. My wife doesn't eat fish or chicken, so anything with cheeseburger in the name is an easy fix. Although I never ate a single cheeseburger here, everyone else did. I did try a bite of one and it was amazing their name doesn't lie. I did eat their seafood chowder on every visit. The small bowl I got to try on my first visit won me over. They put just about everything you could think of that comes from the sea in this delicious chowder. Our waiter said it was one of their signature items. Being a huge fan of Rubens and seeing a Mahi Mahi Ruben on the menu I was intrigued. Fish and sauerkraut? How could this even taste good, first bite tasted amazing. So I ate the whole thing. I would never in a million years think of this combination, but it works. If you love Rubens this one is with it. I also tried their fried snapper sandwich. I don't think I've ever had a more tender juicy cooked piece of fresh snapper. This restaurant relies on fresh ingredients so check the specials board on your way in they're sure to have those items. If it didn't make it on the boat that morning they may not have it. ***Spoiler alert and the reason 4 of 5 stars..... On our last visit one of my dining companions found a small roach in her coleslaw, had that been found on our first visit I don't think we would have returned, per the wife.

Yelp
Friendly staff and decent food. My burger was very good. My wife had a fish sandwich and the fish was chewy. Daughter had meatloaf that was good. Small place that was nothing special. Live music was nice and the drinks were good. Would go back, just wouldn't order the fish again.

Andrew S.

Yelp
We had THE BEST sandwiches here! Painkillers were strong and delightful, beer selection quite delicious, but most importantly, the Mahi option for every burger is just amazing. If you want delicious fresh fish, this is a grand way to go. Fries are crispy and crave-worthy. Would highly recommend.
google avatar

Niki G.

Yelp
This place is exactly what you would expect it to be. The drinks, service and food were all ok. Nothing bad, but nothing special either. I may have given this place 4 stars because I did like the vibe and the prices were good, but my cheeseburger was way too thick to the point it was difficult to eat. The patty should have been pressed down a bit more. It's still a good place to stop on the way back from the beach though!
