Chefe Branco

We had a great dinner there yesterday. The people were very friendly, and the service great. The food was really nice, we enjoyed it a lot. We didn't have a reservation, but we were lucky to get one of the two available tables. Deserts were okay, but not their strongest point. We would definitely recommend it. A bit on the expensive side for us, but definitely nice.

The atmosphere was good. But maybe the chef was not in the mood to cook, the food is extremely salty. We finished as much as we could bc we work hard to make money so don't wanna waste. But i wouldn't recommend their monkfish rice. The service was alright. I think the service in Faro is good in general. But i don't think the server could understand English very well. And the way he says no was very assertive. As a customer i would expect having more polite treatment if the restaurant is not very busy. But well they were not too bad. The highlight is their napkin. Christmas napkin! So cute! Okay here is my disclaimer: i don't think my review was aggressive at all. I was just sharing my true experience. But the owner's reply is very very arrogant and salty (same as his food). So i will do the same to him as below: : it was a 3 star review before the owner replied to me. After seeing how arrogant the owner is, i decide to change it to 1 star. People from other countries, don't come here if you can only say some very basic Portuguese (well at least i learned Portuguese on Doulingo for 2 years but not good enough to ask some slight complicated questions), they don't welcome you. All other Faro restaurants are very friendly, why coming here to have their salty food and having the owner's salty attitude? If u don't know how to run a restaurant, I'm in a good mood today, so even my suggestion is quite expensive in general, i can deliver a free lecture to you: if the servers can't understand, just request the customer to use Google translation. As yourself said: “simples assim”. Second advice: don't gaslight ur customer. By minimizing the issue and shifting responsibility onto the customer, the response becomes manipulative and dismissive — a form of gaslighting. Also, u have so much time to be passive aggressive to even a 3 star review, why don't you try to have more of your own salty food and do some health check. One last free advice: long-term high salt intake increases the risk of hypertension, heart disease, and stroke. Good luck x

The food was amazing, especially their seafood. The waiter was very nice. I would definitely recommend it to other people if they visit Faro. 10/10🤩

Decided to eat here given positive reviews that I read. We were not disappointed. We had croquettes for starter which was ham and cheese. These were like sausage meat and cheese coated in bread crumbs. They were very tasty. It was served with some dijon mustard. It was cooked to perfection. We had the grilled Seabream. It was served with garlic flavoured rice. steamed cabbage, broccoli and carrots. It came with boiled potatoes. It was absolutely delicious. Definitely gets 5 stars. It was very good value for money. The croquettes were €4 for starters, €17 for sea cream. €8.50 for litre of house white wine. I would highly recommend this to anyone that loves wholesome food cooked and seasoned to perfection. 5 stars all round.

We had an excellent meal. My son had the Black Angus (no relation!) steak and said it was the best steak he’d ever had. My daughter had the steak with chips, ham, and egg. I had the traditional Algarve style tuna steak which is cooked with sauted onions and was a brand-new dish that I’d never eaten before and it was very well cooked. All of us left completely empty plates. The service was efficient and the atmosphere was good with a mix of locals and tourists. I would definitely go back again. This is a well run Restaurant with excellent choices of traditional Portuguese and Algarve dishes.

Unbelievable!. My daughter and myself ordered the monk fish cataplana and I have to say it was amazing so much food as well for 2 people and all though it sounds expensive when you see what you get it would cost double for the same meal in the uk. Great job guys well impressed keep up the good work.

We had a great meal here. We all had fresh fish and the white wine that was recommended was also very good. They were able to do a lot of items gluten free which was great.

This was my first stop in Faro, and it was amazing. Rodringo was an excellent server fast and well-spoken.I had a grilled squid (amazing!!)with a salad and fresh vegetables. I highly recommend this clean and special restaurant.

We passed by the restaurant on nights where it seemed very busy and popular. We decided to walk in for dinner and got seated immediately. There was another event in town, so they had available tables. They have the menu in multiple languages. I got the monkfish stew, and it was one of my favorite dishes of the trip. The rice was soft and soaked in the delicious broth. Their white sangria was also nice and sweet. They accepted card. Staff knew some English but speaking a little Portuguese would be helpful.

I ate here three times in five nights in Faro I always asked for the fresh fish of the day they grilled it and it was amazing It is a very short walk from the center of Faro and very much worthwhile coming here It is a very warm and cozy restaurant and you can just sit outside and spend a few hours and enjoy a fantastic meal I highly recommend Chefe Branco Richard (Miami)

AMAZING!! My wife and I came across this place when we were looking for a nice seafood restaurant in Faro. After reading about the Cataplana dishes from the area we decided to try the fish Cataplana. Outside of choosing to marry my wife it may have been the best decision I've ever made. This dish had so much flavor and was packed with such an enormous amount of seafood we just could not believe it. It was hands down the best thing we have eaten in Portugal thus far. We also got a lovely clam appetizer along with some bread and cheese starters and a bottle of wine and spent under €45. If anyone is traveling to Faro I would say this is an absolute must try!

The service is terrible, me and my friend waited for our food for 40 minutes, maybe more. We tried to get the waitress' attention but no one approached us for the whole time. They kept ignoring us as we got up to leave. Needless to say we never got our order, nor an apology.

Amazing! We had the red sangria, barbecued cod, & prawns and garlic. Philip, our driver and a local, recommended it. Faro is an absolutely enchanted place. The food and people at Chefe Branco are the absolute best!

Walked in for early lunch by Portugese standards and the place was empty, but quickly filled up completely. Lot of locals coming it seems. The fish is great here. Tried grilled sea bass and barbeque mackerel. Sea bass was very tasty, comes with a few steamed/boiled vegetables and potatoes. Tasting very fresh and seasoned with right amount of sea salt. Mackerel gives you four fish for 6.5 EUR. Veggie lasagna wasn't too bad either, but half the plate was filled with lettuce. Good espresso style coffee here.

This was the best food we have eaten in the past 3 weeks travelling across spain and portugal. I was amazed. I highly recommend the grilled salmon. We also had a cream puff on chocolate cake dessert and it was fabulous. I whole heartedly recommend!

A wild range of fish dishes and meats. Only one waiter speaks a little English, but at these prices and value. It matters little. Great food, cheap yet quality wine and beers this is an amazing place.
