"Toronto's sprawling food hall—with communal seating, occasional DJs, and stalls from well-known chefs—feels so very London . Inside the space, which opened in early 2018, a night on the town can be shared among even the pickiest and diverse diners: You'll find vegan grub, fried chicken, coffee, barbecue, Mexican food, and even new Canadian cuisine. Highlights include Tachi, a sushi place from chef Jackie Lin where, as in a Tokyo train station sushi joint, only a few diners can squeeze in for a quick and satisfying omakase meal. Elsewhere in the hall, chef Nick Liu of Dailo (recently seen on Iron Chef Canada ) turns out fare like the bao burger—a tasty riff on the classic McDonald's Big Mac, complete with pickles and a house-made special sauce."

Had to work in the city, and just wanted something to eat and drink after. Found this gem food court downtown! They had a few varied food options and went for a poke bowl - it was fairly expensive (from what I'm used to at my usual place) and only alright. It had Macaroni salad(?) which was a bit weird. Next time I'll try the tacos! The bar staff were awesome and took orders quickly. They made a few cocktails for other customers and they looked nice. My creemore was refreshing after a long day! Unfortunately the bar and patio area (I think) were closed for a private function, as I would have loved to sit outside instead. It was a bit confusing how it all worked.

2025 April 3.5★ A nice food hall, well decorated, well designed and great feel when you come in. There are 14 Food Vendor booths at Chefs Hall. Depending on the time, some were closed. I don't expect this to be the case during weekdays. Saturday's no. Certainly Sunday's as it's aimed at office workers. There will always be at least one Bar open for service for tasty cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholilc drinks. This was a cool option. We are a fully counter-service venue, Grab your meals & drinks, find an open table and enjoy. Lots of open tables.

My friend and I visited Chefs Hall, and it exceeded our expectations. There's a wide variety of cuisines; Japanese, Mexican, Indian, Greek, etc. We started with a veggie tempura from Tempura Keisuke. It was fried to perfection—not greasy, with a nice crunch. However, I was not thrilled about the price. For our main, we got a chicken souvlaki plate with cucumber dill tzatziki and a veggie souvlaki plate with smoked eggplant & basil tzatziki. Everything was delicious—the rice and potatoes had so much flavour, the salad was super fresh (it had a lot of feta & olives), and the chicken and veggie skewers were nicely grilled. It's food court style, but viby. You pay and take your food, then find somewhere to sit. There's a lot of seating. Overall, it was a great experience. We would definitely come back.

Google
A big food court style space! Went on a Monday night and it wasn’t busy, so it didn’t take long to get food. There was a good variety of restaurants and it was fun to try a bunch of stuff. 1. Iwami - fish of the day 2. Osteria Scossa - Rigatoni Ragu 3. Ramen Takao - can’t remember but it came with side of tempura 4. Tecolote - Baja Fish Burrito B-Owl 5. Palgong Tea - Taro Milk Tea and Strawberry Cheesecake Milk Tea Everything was a bit pricey given the size of the dishes. I found the pasta at Osteria Scossa undercooked and harder than I would like, but everything else tasted good. There was ample seating when I went and also a station where you can get glasses of water.

Google
Black garlic Ramen was one of the best I've ever had. Nice thing about Chefs Hall, there's 14 different places to eat, something for everyone!

Google
I like chefs hall! A great recommendation for groups of people- you can all get different things like a food court, but it’s elevated. I do wish it was cheaper, but it’s a small complaint. They even have free trivia on Tuesdays! The trivia was a mix of actual questions and song questions. It was super fun! Although the songs were quite millennial so it was a bit hard for my group haha.

Google
Food was great! Atmosphere was fun and chill. We didn’t expect all that from a “food court”. Biryani was from Charcoal Biryani, Tempura Udon from Tempura Keisuke and Nachos from Tecolote. Hands down one of the best nachos and biryani I’ve ever had.

Google
Chefs Hall is a great conglomeration of multiple food stalls that vary in their offerings. Sushi, ramen, Greek, burgers, fried chicken, Shwarma, chocolate, poke bowls, boba tea, etc. a great place to meet up with friends, colleagues, etc. and fast service. Can get it to go or seated. Perfect spot to warm up when cold outside, and right outside of the Sheraton centre hotel.

Yelp
I've heard this place being described as a "high-end" food court, and I think it's pretty apt. The facilities are clean and have a lot to offer at a relatively convenient location. It's a cute space with ample seating and has a lot to offer in terms of food options. I got a chicken sandwich from Grateful Chicken and keisuke tendon from Tempura Keisuke. Definitely get the tempura. The scallop was out of this world!! It may be one of the best tempura bites I've had. The chicken was also so crispy and full of flavor. Highly recommend :)

Yelp
Food 3.5/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 3/5 I think I've been spoiled for other food halls since going to The Well's food hall. I wasn't wowed by this place. For someone who is claustrophobic like me the space felt cramped. Ceilings were low & the dark woods for decor made it feel dark & enclosed as well. It only opens up a bit when you get towards the back where there are windows & doors to the outdoor patio. Food: Pokito: I ordered the 420 bowl without edamame. It was okay, pretty ordinary for the price which was over $20. The guy assembling the food was nice & friendly. He made my order pretty quickly considering there were several orders before mine to prepare. The Red Eye: I ordered the banquet burger with fries. The fries tasted good when they were hot. There's some sort of seasoning on it that's different than other burger & fries places. But once the fries got cold they were hard & didn't taste as great. The burger was okay. Again pretty ordinary according to my tastebuds. I've had better burgers & fries elsewhere. Oswald's Pizza: Hubby got pepperoni pizza with a salad. He said it was really good & he enjoyed it. He didn't end up eating the salad as he got too full. He said their service was great. Grandma loves you: Hubby got a hot dog. He asked for only a little mustard but they put a lot on it. He said the hot dog was okay. They were busy but their service was good too. Mary's Brigadeiros: Dessert was 4 different flavours of their cookies: Pistachio, Caramel, chocolate chip & double chocolate. All the flavours were good. We especially liked the pistachio because the flavour combo was unexpected. Pistachio & the filling inside (I can't identify it) was so delicious. The caramel was so smooth & if my tastebuds aren't mistaken there was condensed milk in it. The double chocolate had some white bits in it that I think were marshmallow. Their service was great. Washrooms were okay. They were clean-ish. Not immaculate as there was pieces of toilet paper on the floor. But it also wasn't dirty. There were 2 out of order stalls in the ladies washroom. I confess to not counting how many stalls there were. I think there was 8 stalls. Hubby says the men's washroom was clean but that the stalls are small. There were 5 urinals according to hubby & 5 stalls. It was an okay visit to come to chef's hall. Food-wise nothing really blew my mind. We don't live or work nearby so it was a trek for us to come here. So far, I prefer The Well's food hall. The next food hall we're going to visit is Waterworks. If their videos are any indication, it looks like a nice open space. We shall see what we think of their food offerings!

Yelp
I've been to Chef's hall a few times with my friends and its a really good vibe. There are a lot of tables where you can seat yourself. You can describe it like an elevated food hall. The restaurants there provide great quality, variety and menu of foods. You'll find mains, drinks as well as desserts there. Definitely a great location if you just need a place to hangout with friends.

Yelp
I'd describe Chefs Hall as a high end food court in downtown Toronto. I met up with a friend here for an early lunch and it was quite empty. There were plenty of food options, ranging from ramen to Italian to burgers, etc. I went to Tecolote, a Mexican spot and ordered a chicken enchilada. I found the portion of the meal a little bit small and a little bit pricey for what it was, but it wasn't bad. I believe the main draw of Chefs Hall is the ambiance. I could see how it would be a place that would be packed during regular lunch hours. There's a patio on one side of it as well, which would be perfect on a hot summer day.

Yelp
Italian Night at Osteria scossa in Chefs Hall, a fancy food court with multiple food vendors in downtown. We went on Thursday night and there was a difference between day and night. There was live music, creating a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after work. We loved the Rigatoni Ragu and Gnocchi. Nothing can beat freshly made pasta. It was soft and chewy. Both of them tasted so good and complemented perfectly by the sauce. The Italian Salumi board with three types of salumi was also a perfect starter.

Yelp
Way too busy at lunch time to the point of no waking space. Went to order some lunch at Charcoal Biryani for my team of 4 arriving at around 12:10. They had already run out of the lamb, goat, and tandoori chicken. Our order seemed to have overwhelmed them and took 35 minutes to prepare. I had the chicken kebab meal which came in a large tray but had such little amounts of everything. I would like to return someday to try another steal but hopefully arrive earlier to beat the rush.

Yelp
I have been to multiple events at Chef's Hall and have enjoyed all of them. It offers great variety of food stations from drinks, coffee, Indian Cuisine, Chineses Cuisine, Mexican Cuisine, Pizza, Bubble Tea, Fried Chicken, Poke, Grandma Loves You Sandwiches, etc. There's plenty of space between the food stations and on the patio to sit down and enjoy your food or have events that even include dancing. Finding parking is a bit tricky though. Well, isn't that the case in Downtown? Lol If you're lucky, you can find street parking, if not, you need to use underground parking which is expensive. Best option is taking TTC there if you can.

Yelp
Prawn tempura & zucchini, eggplant, lotus root, tempura were lightly battered & marinated beef was nicely seasoned over rice. Miso soup was nice a balance. $21 was reasonable for lunch

Yelp
Chefs Hall used to be called Assembly Chef's Hall. I had heard great things about coming to this hall with lots of food stalls to choose food and drinks from. I dig Upper East Food Club and The Annex. Give me quality eateries where I can get a drink from one and a sandwich from another, and I am a happy camper. * start of aside * What confuses me here is the name change. You still see welcome mats in this hall that say Assembly. Yet, the word, Assembly, has formally disappeared in the name, along with the apostrophe. My confusion is the change from having the apostrophe removed from the name. Why? Perhaps it was misleading that it was a hall that belonged to a specific chef? It's kind of the same debate with farmers' market versus farmers market. With the former, multiple farmers run each market, so a plural possessive noun makes sense. Chefs' hall. Do multiple chefs run each hall? I don't know. With the latter, farmers market implies that markets may be supplied by multiple farmers, but they are not necessarily owned by those farmers. Chefs Hall. Chefs may not own the hall. Do they? I don't know, either. Conclusion: The name of this hall needs help. I'd call it Hall of Yumminess. * end of aside * I live under a rock. For years, when I am attending a concert or some event at Scotiabank Arena, or I'm in the vicinity as a tourist, I park at Richmond Adelaide Centre. I didn't realize that I was always a three-minute walk away from Chefs Hall. It's probably because I'm never hungry going to Scotiabank Arena. After the event is over, I want to walk back to fetch my car and head home. It was straightforward walking over to Chefs Hall from this parking lot. There were signs that guided me over. Chefs Hall is divided into three halls: - Beer Hall (it's closest to Adelaide, with a bar and a stage) - Vendor Hall (it's where all the food stalls are) - Main Hall (there's a larger bar and a patio area) I liked how I felt walking through the Beer Hall. It was cozy with plants everywhere. There were lots of places to sit down, have a drink, and eat either with a group or by yourself. I needed the woman's washroom when I got here. I found it almost immediately when I walked up the stairs to the Vendor Hall. I was thrilled. It was clean and nicely maintained. There are steps up to all food stalls. As far as accessibility goes, there are a couple of accessibility lifts in the Beer Hall and Main Hall. They look like cubes. I have been here for an event in the Main Hall. If you have an event, you can rent a hall. It gets blocked off, so others will know that they can't crash your event. This hall was roomy and fabulous. I have also dropped by Oswald's Pizza to grab some Detroit-style pizza. I loved my food. When I was there, I got a glimpse of these food vendors: - Oswald's Pizza - Grandma Loves You - Charcoal Biriyani - Hawaiian Poke Bar - The Red Eye Should I be downtown for a concert and haven't eaten, I'd come here to grab a bite beforehand. Chefs Hall is open Mondays and Tuesdays from 11 am till 9 pm. Wednesdays through Saturdays, hours are from 11 am till 10 pm. It's closed on Sundays. There is free wifi. What was weird was that it prompted for my e-mail address and birthdate, including year of birth. No free wifi needs that personal information to connect, so I declined using it. I look forward to returning to try other food stalls. It's a cool place and concept. (163)

Yelp
If you want some quality pasta - this is a quick and easy option downtown Toronto. It's priced above average and portions weren't huge, but it tasted great and the staff was friendly. Would recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised with the fish sandwich from Grateful Chicken, good ratio of sauce & the fish was cooked perfectly not too dry. Sadly the pilot combo from Red Eye was a little disappointing, it was quite oily and lacked flavour. We were curious to try the gravy, but it wasn't what we were expecting. Overall would go again and try another spot & maybe some drinks too! Was a good vibe on a Friday night.

Yelp
Chef's Hall is a nice food court with lots of different types of food to choose from, including fried chicken, Greek, Japanese, Indian, American classics, and more. I decided on Iwami for sushi. I only read the small menu posted on one of the walls and ordered one each of the cucumber maki and avocado maki; I wish I had looked at the full menu on the table(s) because they had other small and large plates to choose from. I probably would've gotten only one roll and a Beef Yaki-Udon instead. Regardless of my misunderstanding of the full menu offerings, I really enjoyed my sushi. I went with two veggie rolls because I was hungry but didn't want to feel too weighed down or full, and these were the right choice. Really fresh ingredients and friendly service. It wasn't too crowded when I visited (a Saturday afternoon during the Christmas season) and there were plenty of places to sit. I'm going to make it a point to come back in the future to try other offerings.

Yelp
This place is pretty rad. I found it on Yelp after looking for coffee shops in the area to work from with a few coworkers. Lost Coffee was what popped up and when I realized it was attached to this hall, I was overjoyed. I'm a sucker for a good market or food hall and love to explore them when I travel, so this was perfect. After working inside Lost Coffee for a few hours, my small group needed lunch. We strolled around and at the time they had everything from sushi, ramen, and tacos to burgers, pasta, and baked goods. All three of us went with ramen (another thing I like to try while traveling). We found seats outside on their giant patio. This place is honestly huge. I'll definitely be back the next time I find myself in Toronto!

Yelp
Interesting place. A simulation of a market with a variety of food vendors under one roof. Pricey and kind of loud, but it could accommodate a few dozen board game creators & publishers. The pos was down so I didn't get the pizza I wanted. I may come back.

Autum R.

Yelp
The hall itself is filled with so many food options that it could satisfy any heart's desire. I settled for Oswald's pizza after scoping out all of the eateries. Pros: The pizza was made to order with fresh ingredients and tasted delicious when paired with the garlic sauce. The combo came with a salad and a drink for about $30.00 Cons: Although made fresh, the wait for the pizza was far too long because it seemed that staff did not know what they were doing. The pizza sauce lacked flavor so the side of garlic sauce almost felt necessary to elevate the flavors. For a small, personal, pizza and a drink $30.00 was far too pricey.

Yelp
I checked out Chef's Hall for lunch in downtown Toronto and decided to try Charcoal Biryani. The menu includes an intriguing blend of Turkish and Indian dishes, and I ordered the ginger chicken kebab with salad. Once I placed my order, I waited over 15 minutes for my food, even though there was only one person in line ahead of me. In terms of taste, the chicken was well seasoned and spicy, although it had a strange texture. The salad, which consisted of iceberg and a handful olives and feta cubes, was on the bland side. It could have been improved with sauce or dressing to add flavor and offset some of the spice from the chicken. On the positive side, everything tasted extremely fresh.

Yelp
Chefs Hall (previously called Assembly Chef's Hall) is a large food hall located in downtown Toronto, and walking distance from the financial district. I've come here on a couple of different occasions: weekday lunches with teammates, evening drinks and dinner with friends after work, and weekend brunch / lunch as well as dinner. It operates like a food court, where there are different vendors selling different menu items, and you order from each vendor individually. The difference is that the vendors are more up-scale, some with renowned chefs and have actual dine-in restaurants in other locations (e.g. Mira Mira, Pokito, Tachi, Grandma Loves You). Food and drinks selection includes high-end sushi tasting, ramen, Latin American foods (such as tacos and fusion dishes), poke, biryani, gourmet coffee and bar. Over the years, some of the vendors have changed, but the concept and ambience remain the same. It's a nice place to get together with friends or work colleagues, in a very spacious environment with lots of food to choose from.

Yelp
I like the concept of Chefs Hall, as it is an upscale food court providing dining options from restaurant level vendors. Recently came for dinner, and tried two of the restaurants. At Grateful Chicken, we ordered the classic fried chicken sandwich combo with buttermilk onion rings and a cream soda. The sandwich was good, freshly fried crunchy chicken in a soft potato bun. The onion rings were thick and crispy but lacking in salt, so it was not as good as could be. At Charcoal Biryani, we ordered the spicy lamb biryani bowl on the recommendation of the vendor. The lamb itself was super tender, and the bowl had plenty of rice, cashews, and seasoning. However, this was also lacking salt so it was bland and definitely not spicy I don't know why every dish was lacking flavor or salt. Maybe catering to the general crowd? Not for me.

Yelp
Cool gathering of different eateries, variety of foods, and all things delicious! The pizza was unique. The disco fries were tasty. The Indian street food was scrumptious. We enjoyed the community seating, weekly specials, and event options such as trivia Tuesdays, etc.

Yelp
I only found out how hard it was to find a coffee shop to work from in the Downtown Core during weekday work hours. I usually prefer working from home for that reason. A food hall is not one that first comes to mind. However, Lost Coffee inside Chef's Hall has plenty of seating and quiet before it hits lunch hour on the weekdays. So if you need a place to work, this is a great spot. During lunch they do turn up the music. I've already been to Chef's Hall quite a few times for events and dining. They have a great space with a spacious patio during the warmer months. I'm usually craving noodles, and Ramen Isshin delivers. Lots of other great restaurants to check out here too.

Yelp
Great spot where I also happened to have my first date with my now wife (so holds and extra spot in my heart). Have loved this spot for years. Great variety of food and drink options. Love the concept. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Interesting concept of a higher-end food court. it's mostly self-served with a decent varieties of vendors. Mostly self-served and you pick up the food at the counter. The Texas BBQ was much better than I expected from a food court place like this. Interior place was really warm and cozy. Had a great time with my work friends there.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Chef's Hall is a really cool concept with a number of different restaurants that you can order from all at once. The restaurants within may not be open on every given day so there's some variety with that. The different restaurants may also have their own specials so that's another layer on top of that. I definitely took advantage of the ability to order from multiple restaurants. What's not to love about a ramen and taco combo?! When you enter they do seat you. This place is almost made for gatherings as there are a lot of picnic type benches and high tops with lots of stools. There is more intimate seating with a few double tables as well. At each table there is a QR code that brings you to the website. The site lists which restaurants are open and the menus for each. It is full service at Chef's Hall. If the restaurants have any features, that gets explained. The service can be a little slow sometimes. I think it's just the logistics of ordering from a few different places. Each time I've gone though, everyone was really friendly.

Yelp
Piano Piano review: Accidentally discovered Piano Piano (which mainly offers Neo-style pies) had a stall at Chef's Hall (111 Richmond St. West) and that they offered 18" pies (all their other locations only offered 10"). I also learned that the next day was their last day at this location. Apparently, the Chef's Hall menu lists 16" pies' prices in the late-20s range, but the stall only lists 18" pies in the early-30s range. Impressively for a small stall, they are (were?) open 11 AM until 10 PM every day except Sundays. So I ordered their "Margherita Pizza" pie which came with 3 different cheeses (Mozz', Fior di Latte, Parmesan). And decided to also add Soppressata (note: avoid deli meats on well-done pies). Asked for "quite thin," and "nearly well done." Price was about $32 before taxes and tip. The dough was the best version of the Badiali and Maker style I've had, where the dough almost seems like it is fried. Here, the dough was crispy outside, and almost flaky inside, with minimal char. It could have been more well done, respectfully. The dough also could have been thinner, but was not overwhelmingly "bready" but the thickness was useful in holding the impressively generous amount of toppings they applied. Ordering soppressata was a mistake on my part, as it was too salty and got quite rigid in texture after being cooked at my request of "well done," (it is actually only used with their "hot honey" for their "Raging Hot Pizza.") so I do not reccomend anyone order a "well done" pie with deli-cut meats. Tomato sauce was great and could have been enjoyed on it's own, but could have been thicker in texture. Not too savoury or sweet. Perhaps over-powered by the soppressata (which I requested extra) and cheeses. Cheese was great and was not skimped on. The variety of the 3 cheeses really shone through, as the triple combination created a solid, dense, yet thin, layer of cheese, which added great flavour and savouriness, of varying textures and flavour profiles. The picture has a lot of shiny liquid, which was my generous application of olive oil, and the pictures also show the generous addition of chili flakes I added from the ramiken of chili flakes they included. They also included a free ramiken of their "spicy mayonnaise" dip which I didn't use, but tasted "alright." Overall, I'm hugely disappointed Piano Piano chose to shutter here, as it was a unique addition to the area and this location was the only one offering 18" versions of their pies. Piano Piano did not advertise the location at the bottom of their page amongst all their other locations (instead, the location was listed in the middle of a paragraph in their "take-out" section, which itself is listed amongst a long horizontal list of other sections, namely, between "Frozen Pizza" and "Gift Cards" on the list). Hopefully they will offer 16" (as Libretto once did) or 18" pies at one of their other locations...

Yelp
Osteria Scossa was a total disappointment. They are not prepared to be open. For starters they could not figure out how to properly charge for our meal. Second they don't know the difference between pastas. You can't state "this is how we do our pastas". If you dare say that then you have to make it clear on your menu...State that you are overcharging and under delivering Italian food. We had to return the pasta and the second time around was equally bad. The farmers salad was ok but again they mix flavors to overcompensate. Cappers with pear is a first for me. Contrast of flavors and it's not necessary. Keep it simple and with fresh ingredients. I would recommend an Italian cooking class for the team and better customer service.

M E.

Yelp
I'm not sure of the high ratings...tried a few different places and did not enjoy. Will not be back.

Yelp
This is a review of Grateful Chicken from Chef's Hall. I got the 5 piece Fried Chicken Bucket through Ubereats. The coating on the chicken was too thick, hard, and not particularly flavorful. The dill they use on the coating didn't particularly complement the flavor at all. The chicken meat inside tasted good. I just didn't love this chicken and sad to say I much prefer the chain restaurants - Mary Browns, KFC, and Popeye's.

Yelp
Interesting concept. Went there after work. The bar worked great, the beer was cold, the table tennis was a plus & the great variety of food to chose from was great! I'd recommend the fried chicken; it was insanely good!

Yelp
This is for the Charcoal Biryani and Turkish Kebab restaurant in Chef's Hall. Wow, what delicious biryani. Really impressed by this place. Tried both the lamb and the chicken biryani and both were great as were the samosas. They ever went lit of their way to rectify and issue with another dish. Very highly recommended alongside plenty of other good options.

Yelp
Was super excited to try this fancy food court based on a tip from a coworker. We were afraid that the lines would be long at lunchtime, so we came early to beat the noontime rush. Unfortunately, we came a bit too early, because several of the stands were just starting to get set up or weren't even open for business yet. Out of what was available, everything looked kind of heavy and greasy and pricy. I finally settled on the Reyna combo for $16.99. It seemed to give me the best variety of different dishes: Lebanese taco with chicken (can also choose falafel), side Reyna salad, and lamb baklava. The food was plated beautifully and tasted pretty good. It was fun for a decadent splurge, but definitely not something I would eat for a regular meal.

Yelp
Let the record show: If I lived in Toronto or the greater Toronto area, I would have eaten at every establishment in here inside of a month! I've been to Love Chix and Little Khao so far, both of which were great. There is a fair amount (~17) of varied options which are moderately priced. Having the challenge of decided what I want most is a great challenge to have. What's even more awesome is that these places seem to be run by chefs who are passionate about what they do, and that certainly know how to bring the yum! Calling this a food court could technically be correct, but considering how elevated it is, it's almost an insult! They also have booze, though I couldn't tell you to what extent other than beer. Location itself is clean, well lit, and has a cool vibe, even hip (maybe)? There are plenty of places to sit down to eat your meal. There's also (in September, anyway) a pretty awesome outdoor patio! it can get a wee bit loud at times, but nothing too extreme. Just something to keep in mind if you're bringing a friend or a date. Definitely a place to return when I find myself in Toronto.

Yelp
Amazing food and good service. Our waiter was very nice and definitely pushed the promo and made good suggestions. My friend and I had the chicken app, Takoyoki, and Isshin fries and chickens shio ramen. It was amazing. Not a large selection of wine but good rose.

Yelp
I love the vibe of this place and the fact that it has so many options! I think I've had one of the best sandwiches here- the jerk chicken Bahn MI!!! I'm a fan of Bahn MI and I also love carribean flavors! What better than having them both together?!!! I must warn you it's a hit sandwich but so totally worth it! I definitely want to try the other options here. Shall update this review as I try them on!

Yelp
--The Down Low-- Food: 2.5/5 Service: 3/5 Quality vs. Price: 2.5/5 Vibe: 4/5 I came here for dinner and drinks with a group of friends on a Thursday evening. Seating was prompt, as we had a reservation. The patio is well decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere. We all started with some drinks. I ordered the Fresh Ginger Ale (~$5) and it was great, but I can't say the same for the food. The waiter had to come back to the table at least 3 or 4 times (from what I remember) to apologize and ask my friends and I to choose something else from the menu because the kitchen didn't have what we originally ordered. With only two restaurants operating, it didn't leave many options and it was disappointing. I would have to say that the waiter handled these issues the best that they could and did their best to help our group find other food options. I ended up ordering the Chicken Karaage Don rice bowl in the Regular size (~$8). It ended up being served to me in a pint-size plastic takeout tub and we were all given single-use plastic utensils to eat with. The chicken was pretty dry and the flavour in the dish completely banked itself on the spicy mayo that was drizzled on top. As a result, I would have to say that I found the presentation and food quality for the price paid to be disappointing. The kitchen also got one of my friend's orders wrong, on top of not having what they ordered the first time around. This definitely made the Chef's Hall service rating lower in my books. Overall, until more restaurants return to the food court and the establishment re-gains its footing, I would recommend that you come for the drinks and the patio vibe - but skip the food!

Yelp
Assembly Chef's Hall is a massive food hall located in the same building as Google's Toronto Office in the Financial District. It's a food court but a bit fancier than a regular one. It's filled with the best chefs and gourmet restaurants so their prices are on the higher side. You might call it as a high end Food Hall. It has been open since 2017 (if I'm not wrong). I've been here several times. However, they had to closed down the dine-in service during the pandemic. But now, their patio is open! Have you been to their patio yet? I went there a week ago with my husband and a friend for their patio. The patio is spacious and pretty. They are as concerned about customers' safety as they claimed. You can see that all staff wear face masks at all times and all tables are 6 feet apart. Their washrooms are cleaned regularly and you can find sanitizer station at all the entrances. When you come in, you need to check in through a QR code for contact-tracing purpose. You can check their menu via QR code as well (here https://qrcodes.pro/YGpprG ) We ordered some sandwiches from MIRA MIRA. They were Jerk Chicken Banh mi and Haddock Sandwich. They came with a choice of Crinkle Cut Potato Rounds, Onion Rings or Sweet Potato Fries AND a choice of Kale Caesar Salad or House Coleslaw. I loved my Jerk Chicken with mango sauce and green jerk aioli. It was so good. And of course, my husband enjoyed his Haddock Sandwich! We would definitely come back again! FEATURED PICS - Jerk Chicken Banh mi, MIRA MIRA - Haddock Sandwich, MIRA MIRA - Tromba Margarita - Old Fashioned

Yelp
Food hall with lots of different vendors and restaurants inside. Looks like a great space to try a lot of different types of cuisines. We came to try Tochi this time with the standing omakase. I believe the hall has been open for 5 years now but several of the places had to close down due to the struggles of covid. Recently they've been slowly picking up again and I think more stalls are opening up again and/or changing to new vendors. Reminds me of Urban Spaces in NYC and the like. If you're visiting, definitely check them out on the weekend. They have a great beer hall at the end for drinks and what not too. Summary: Great place to come with some friends or family and try a lot of different kinds of cuisines out. Also, just a great place to catch a drink or cocktail at. Awesome vibe and interior design and aesthetics are on point and more of an urban-modern style vibe! The spacing isn't too crammed and there is ample seating everywhere.

Yelp
How many times has this happened to you? You: "Hey, what do you want to eat?" Bf/gf/friend/dog: "I don't know." No longer do you have to play 20 questions to get an answer. Take them right to Assembly Chef's Hall! It's the answer to all of your "I don't know" hassles. There's representation of cuisines from all over the world, there's bound to be something for everyone. Tacos, pizza, burgers, American BBQ, Thai, Chinese, ramen, sushi...If Toronto is all about diversity, then Assembly Chef's Hall should be its official headquarters. For your beer-swilling, meat-eater, "salads are the devil" bro: brisket at Cherry Street BBQ, fried chicken at Love Chix, and multiple drafts on tap. For your hipster, vegan, latte art loving buddy: matcha chia pudding at Mira Mira, avocado toast at Nutbar, and caffeinated beverages in all different shapes and sizes. The hall itself is very trendy. It's like a high-end food court with restaurant style quality and prices. Even during the lunch rush with hundreds of suits, we found spaces to sit no problem. My dining companion and I had the privilege of trying the $14 "42 Ingredient Salad" from Hibiscus and the $30 truffle mushroom gnocchi from Boemo. The salad was really good, for a salad. It was filling and bursting with different colours, textures, and tastes. But it couldn't hold a candle to the gnocchi, which was decadent, marvelous, and had me shamelessly trying to scoop up tiny bits of sauce from my companion's plate to savour that flavour. Washing all that down, we had $5 handmade ginger ales from Ramen Isshin. Very gingery, not very sweet, and perfectly refreshing. Assembly Chef's Hall might be expensive but as a frequent "I don't know" answerer, I think I've found my place in this world. (25/100) - 2018

Yelp
What a fantastic space! Two beautiful dining areas with different types of seating, and a patio. That. PATIO. Last Saturday, I came here for my first visit, with 2 other friends. We made purchases at two vendors: palettas/popcicles from PalettAmerica, the stand-up omakase at Tachi. Both were great experiences. For Tachi's review, please visit their page: https://www.yelp.ca/biz/tachi-toronto-2?hrid=RQYZ3QUiql6ytGF_QU4sVA&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) As for PalettAmerica: we had wonderful service, the treats looks so captivating and tastes great! We had the pina colada & strawberry cheesecake palettas. The pina colada was VERY soft - which we were warned about. But the flavour was spot-on, delish and refreshing. Highly recommended - but yes, be warned that it melts faster than other flavours there. The strawberry cheesecake holds up better. It's beautiful and tastes exactly as you'd expect. Creamy, with gram cracker bits reminiscent of a crust, and strawberry flavour throughout. Definitely a fantastic place for summer treat! Perfect for this current heat wave. ;) Can't wait to come back to Assembly to try all the other vendors!

Yelp
Love Assembly Chef's Hall Concept of having some of the best restaurants in TO to open up a stall in a "food court" like setting. The offerings are quite versatile and with a good selection of dish that represent the individual business. Great for groups and even individuals. We tried the Spicy Sopressata Pizza from The Good Son ($18), Bara Chirashi from Shari ($19.50) and Pad Gra Prao from Little Khao ($17). They were all really tasty and really similar to what one would get in the perspective restaurants. One might argue that they are more pricier from regular food court. But moving forward the price might be adjusted based on the market situation since they just opened for business last week. Music was pretty loud at the Bulldog/Cherry BBQ area. If you want some quiet and piece, there are also plenty of seating in the area near Tokyo Smoke/Nut Bar.

Yelp
Assembly Chef's Hall is a not a food court, but a Centralized location offers great food from Toronto's great chefs. You don't need to have long wait or pay a lot in their regular restaurants and allow you to have some of the best dishes on their menu. The best way to experience ACH is to call a group of friends and share the dishes together. Most of the seatings are communion style and able to fit big groups. My Yelp friends shared a few dishes together: Bara Chirashi from Shari - sushi rice is prepared perfectly and the seafood is very fresh. pad gra prao from Little Khao - the meat is flavourful and love the spices they used. Spicy Sopressata Pizza from Good Son - the pizza is made to order. They are all nicely done and taste very delicious. I have to admit the price point is higher than regular "food court", but definitely worth it.

Yelp
It's like a crazy awesome collection of all your favorite foods in one place! Very trendy vibes with a seat yourself type environment. Like an upscale food court is how I think I would best describe it! We had a friend from out of town (like way out) visiting and with no ideas what she likes to eat, we figured why not visit a bunch of restaurants offering their best dishes all in one place? Turned out to be a fantastic choice! We got the brussel sprouts from the fried chicken location. We weren't feeling for fried chicken, but those brussel sprouts were so good!! I could eat them all day! Lightly seasoned with parmesan and fried. Mmmm I got a ramen from the cute looking ramen shop and they had fresh ginger ale. I am not one known to resist fresh Ginger drinks so obviously I was sold. It was so delicious!!! Fresh ginger juice, lime and lemon juice, some Maple syrup, and soda. So fresh, so good! I could drink this all day! The ramen was also fantastic. Great noodle texture and nice broth, but just slightly too salty. Saving best for last, we got the Pigs Finders Frites which are truffle parmesan fries. Witty name and delicious! We got their famous creamy mushroom truffle gnocchi. If you're there, you gotta try it!! Delicious!!!! Gnocchi were very nicely made. Very light. Not as fluffy as I've tried at other Italian places but definitely amazing anyway! The staff are all incredible, energetic people and they are just so excited by their food! It's definitely a bit pricier, but you're getting some quality food. Where else can I have vegan desserts, fried Brussel sprouts, ramen, and Italian gnocchi in one sitting?? Bring a friend and have a great time!

Yelp
This place is like a foodie heaven. As you enter, it can get a little overwhelming trying to decide what to eat. But the best part is, you can walk right up to the bar and ask "Hi, can you please recommend what white or bubbly will go well with my black sesame tan tan ramen? Then after you place you glass on a table, you can decide if you want lobster, fried chicken, truffle fried rice from Dailo. It's just a great evening even coming here by myself! The tables are first come first serve. So coming alone, I used my Mackage jacket and scarf to save a two seater as the seats are taken quickly. From ramen Isshin, I asked the staff which one is most popular and she recommended the black sesame tan tan, so I ordered that. Broth was tasty. Noodles were chewy, just a little smaller portion for $16 compared to the other ramen places that I normally go to. I've also ordered a CHIRASHIZUSHI (small) $18.50 from Shari, chef is the same owner as Shoushin. It was okay. The tobiko was fresh, I find the sushi rice a little sour, maybe too much vinegar? Definitely worth checking it out this new venue!

Yelp
Built like an indoor fine-dining night market, Assembly Chef's Hall has a variety of food stalls featuring mouthwatering finger foods, meals, and desserts. I was here at the U of T Alumni Shaker (800 guests) so there was a lot of waiting involved. Hopefully its not that busy on a regular visit.. At 25$, each of us got one drink ticket and 9 food tickets. There are 14 food stalls so we had to choose wisely. Since the pricing is different from the usual, I'll only post my reviews of the food and atmosphere~ (but i heard its $$$) A map is handed out at the door which highlighted details of all 14 food vendors. Instead of following the trail, I started with the shortest line and moved on from there. Boemo Resto: Truffle fries and Mac n' Cheese "The Boho Truffle Gnoc" The fries are freshly made and has a nice crunch on the outside, with a generous splash of truffle oil. Smelled so good too! Normally I don't like Mac n' Cheese but Boemo added something special :) Short & Sweet Bake shop: cupcakes and cookies I had a vanilla icing cupcake with a caramel drizzle. The icing isn't too sweet and the size was just right to pair with the fluffy cake without having leftovers. When you take a bite, there is a secret caramel filling inside! The Good Son: Mushroom Parmagiano pizza the crust was very thin - too thin. The fatty oils combined with the mushroom umami-ness was an overkill and I desperately needed something light and tart to cut down its richness. 42 Ingredient Salad "Quinoa, sweet potato, broccoli, lentils, tofu, kale, carrot, beet, kelp + 33 other wholesome, organically grown and delicious ingredients." I think it also had sunflower seeds and beans. I think that the phrase everything in moderation really applies here because the abundance of ingredients allowed for little flavour and I didn't know what I was eating. I understand it is a healthy meal, but food has gotta taste good too. Less is more, maybe? There is also a sushi stand where you have Omakase meals (chef's table) while standing, and the place only holds under 10 people. The line was way too long though. Overall, wasn't too wowed, maybe because I had higher expectations from all the hype about this place. Would get the truffle fries again, but other than that...i dont really see a point in revisiting. I think food courts are meant for quick, cheap, and tasty sitmedowns, and things here are certainly neither quick nor cheap. It may be cool to visit with friends, but then again, that'd be a lot of money to put down. Maybe its the fact that there are too many options... For me, I prefer one style of food with a pitcher of beer - that kind of night out, whereas Assembly's Chef's Hall might be a good instagram foodie exploration night instead.

Yelp
I've been here a few times but actually dined in only twice. The first time was about a month or two after it opened two years ago and the second time was last weekend. The main thing that sticks out in my mind is how packed it was on that weekend the first time I went (I remember that we had to wait for seats) compared to how there was barely anyone there during the lunch hour last Saturday. My husband told me that it still gets busy during lunch on weekdays though, which I can imagine since it's like a one stop food shop. That's probably the best part about this place - that there are many different places to choose from all in one large space. It's like an elevated version of a food court without any fast food chains. Many of these places are already established restaurants on their own so it's a bonus that there are several of them under one roof. I like how there are different types of food to choose from - Italian, Mexican, Thai, Japanese, coffee bar, desserts etc. There's something for everyone. On this particular visit, I had truffle gnocchi from Resto Boemo and ramen from Ramen Isshin - both dishes were delicious. The ramen was slightly smaller than expected but the broth was flavorful and it satisfied my ramen craving for the price of about $13. The gnocchi was so creamy and rich - a pretty good portion for about $18. On a previous visit, we ordered takoyaki from Ramen Isshin and the chorizo gnocchi from Resto Boeme, which were also good choices. Aesthetically, you can tell a good amount of money was put into creating this food hall. It has a modern but eclectic vibe to it. I like how there are fun photo ops throughout as well. There are plenty of seats to enjoy the atmosphere - some near the main entrance but majority of these areas are near the back of the assembly hall. The only con that I can think of is that the prices are higher at some of the vendors considering the smaller portions and less offerings at each individual vendor compared to dining at the stand alone restaurants. That being said, that's understandable considering these are smaller stands. Overall, there's still a good amount of food from different vendors to choose from - kind of like doing a food crawl of sorts, where you can try a dish from a bunch of different places all in one space. Happy to have one of these awesome food halls in Toronto - great alternative to the usual food court!

Yelp
Toronto finally gets this highly anticipated upscale food court located in the Google building across from the Sheraton. Even though it's not completely open yet, what is currently there is very intriguing and is setting a high bar for expectations. This place will be in the millennial's yelp bookmark for sure. It's got ample space, quality food, and some booze to boot. But be prepared to make in rain with some $20s like you're going to your BFF's bachelor or bachelorette party. Lots of potential here. You're getting restaurant quality food at restaurant prices for a self serve/quick serve environment. I think Assembly Hall fills a gap needed in Toronto while we wait with great expectations of Eataly coming to the city. But we're going to have to see if they can overcome the food price sensitivity of the locals here. Hopefully Google employees will bring their wallets. The restaurateurs are shelling out the same for rent here as owning an entire restaurant, so it's going to take regular traffic to keep this place here. They're almost ready for you yelp freaks to get your freak on here. Release the hounds. To the top of the Yelp front page you go...Good luck Chef's.

Yelp
Gourmet food court is one way to describe Assembly Chef's Hall but it's more than that. Several of Toronto's popular restaurants (and chefs) are represented here, with smaller versions of their main locations. These include Reyna (Bar Reyna), DaiLo, Ramen Isshin, The Good Son, Little Khao (Khao San Road), Cherry Street Bar-B-Que, and more. There are enough food choices to satisfy any palette, whether it's a healthy salad, pizza, Asian, BBQ, seafood, dessert, coffee, alcohol, or so much more. In fact, it took about 20 minutes for my companions and me to decide what we wanted to try. We ended up with a warm lobster roll from Bluenose Lobster, ribs and brisket from Cherry Street Bar-B-Que, and parm fries and gnocchi from Resto Boemo. The food was pretty good (see individual reviews) but, depending on what time you arrive, seating could be an issue, despite the whole place being quite spacious. I understand there will also be outdoor seating over the summer. We arrived shortly after 6:00pm, in the middle of the after-office crowd and it was very busy. It took a bit of walking around and waiting to find a table (that we shared). The ambiance was kinda trendy warehouse-chic, with dimmer lighting in the seating and bar areas. There's a live DJ playing music that gave the place a little bit of a club vibe. I like this place. Even with friends willing to share, there were too many choices for just one visit. I'll be back. Who's joining me?

Yelp
I came here twice now for lunch. It's a food hall with many vendors and gets extremely busy during the noon-hour rush. At 1pm, it isn't as busy and finding a table was simple. Good luck trying to get a table at noon. There is a DJ playing music at noon, so it gets loud on both sides of the hall. My friends and I tried the Bara Chirashi from Shari, which was beautifully presented in a wooden box. The fish was fresh and rice was perfect. I don't know where it comes from, but there was a bit of sweetness in the dish. We also tried the Pad Gra Prao from Little Khao. It was just as good as the Pad Gra Prao from Khao San Road and Pai. There was plenty of savory pork and I found the egg undercooked. We tried the Spicy Sopressata Pizza from Good Son. I'm not a fan of olives, but the olives on this pizza wasn't bad. I enjoyed the flavor of the cheese, sauce, and toastiness of the bread. It's definitely spicy, though. Overall, an excellent place to have lunch, but only when it's not busy.
