Really nice place. 18 of us rented this out for a weekend birthday celebration and it worked great. Nice pool area, space to spread out, close to town. Would definitely recommend it. It’s quaint and like the other reviews said it could use a little maintenance. The pool needs some paint. Outdoors by the pool need some string lights and some cushions while ok could use some replacing. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Plus so gorgeous here in the valley.

Booked the entire spot for a wine event. Staff were great and then left us to our own devices. Good shower, decent parking, and a comfortable bed. Having a full kitchen, pool, and three patios made the trip, letting us make breakfast and dinner instead of haulong around town. Worth the booking whether doe a room or the entire thing

Google
So lucky to have found Chelsea and her amazing home away from home. She was so welcoming and the place was fantastic. We sat by the pool and sipped on wine and played cards by the pool. It was so close to downtown and got an amazing recommendation for dinner. The breakfast was to die for and can't wait to come back again and spend more time!

Google
Good location but house could use some updates. Furnitures are functional but are worn and dated. Plumbing and pool need significant maintenance. Room off the kitchen offers no privacy and shouldn't be used as a bedroom.

I didn't stay here overnight. I just babysat for a family that did, but I was there for three days and it's very cute inside. Very comfortable. A/C a must have during the heat wave. Quiet location.

Google
This space had a lot to offer in terms of location and accessibility. As a large group it was great because we each had our own space but had space to meet and spend time together. For the price however, I feel like it wasn't what we paid for. Certain things weren't as clean as I'd want, or were very outdated. Everything was functional for the most part but it may have taken some tweaking to make it that way.

Google
Pretty cozy place. 6 beds and 4 bathrooms, 3 of the bedrooms share one bathroom. Dishes are a bit problem, you have to wash most of the dishes on hand before placing in the dishwasher.

Booked the private cottage through Airbnb. It's a pretty good place to stay near Napa. expensive for one nights stay. Close to many wineries. No complimentary breakfast. Clean rooms. Quiet ambiance.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay at the Chelsea Garden Inn. The innkeeper and team were very kind and considerate as well as helpful to me during my stay. I enjoyed wine tasting in Calistoga while staying at the Inn, which provided me a warm and cozy environment to rest and relax. The Palisades room where I stayed was very spacious and comfortable. It has a living room with a day bed a hall way bathroom and a main bed room. The views of the green hills and garden were most pleasant.

Tera D.

Yelp
My group of 11 stayed at the Inn for a 3 night wine tasting trip. It was very spacious, with every couple having their own room, and no more than 2 couples to a bathroom. The layout is a bit strange, in that you have to go outside to get from your bedroom to the communal area if you want to avoid walking through someone else's room. Not a deal breaker, just a bit odd. The kitchen was well equipped and we used it to cook breakfast each morning. It was a little too chilly to enjoy the yard, but if you're going to be there in warmer weather they have a great patio area with a large table. Best of all is the location. You are literally steps from a grocery store, coffee shops and all of downtown Calistoga. If you are looking for a place that can fit a ton of people, this is your spot!

Yelp
Seriously wanted to cry when we had to check out and finally go home. We stayed in the "Chinon" cottage and it was so peaceful and quaint. The cottage has a living room/ dining room with couch, dining table and flat screen tv with DirectTV and Wi-Fi. There is also a front patio area to enjoy your morning coffee or to dine al fresco! The full kitchen is stocked with all the cookware and appliances you'll need for your vacation. There's also even a washer and dryer in the unit! The bedroom is furnished modernly, as is the rest of the house, and has a comfy king sized bed. There is a built-in vanity area with a seat and magnified mirror and blow-dryer to use. Restroom, like rest of the cottage, freshly painted and spotless clean. I enjoyed a relaxing bath. There's also a little water fountain outside of the game room that is pleasant to hear. There is a billiards table and other merriments to partake in. We checked in after hours and were left a note with instructions on entering our cottage and I briefly met the office staffer before leaving and she was nice. We loved how the place is on a residential street, very quiet and able to walk to nearby grocery store, as well as the center of town. Can't wait to return to Calistoga and stay here again! P.S. only issue was that the kitchen window doesn't lock, it needs to be repaired

Yelp
The most adorable place: the flowers/gardens outside, the decor and vibe inside, the care that is put in every detail!!! Found it on expedia last minute at a very reasonable (and reduced) price. Jennifer working there greeted us as we checked in (Lavender Room - so beautiful!), gave us freshly made cookies and answered all of our questions. She was also the breakfast cook, and made the most delicious breakfast the next morning. The building itself appears to be old (in a charming way), and the wooden floors creek at times, which is funny when you're trying to quietly go pee in the middle of the night :) The location is great too - just a block away from the main street in Calistoga gives you a perfect opportunity to explore this historic town without worrying about parking. Everything at this place was just lovely, I hope to return!! Extra thanks to Jennifer for making our stay so nice!

Yelp
We reserved Chelsea Garden Inn, 1443 2nd St, Calistoga, CA 94515 on Oct. 07-Oct. 08, 2015; But when we checked in 6:00PM they assigned us to Wayside Inn at 1523 Foothill Blvd, Calistoga, CA. We met another customer at the property at Wayside Inn who complained the same thing; he reserved to Chelsea Garden Inn but got in to Wayside Inn. A manager at Chelsea Inn actually called us the day before my check-in day asking credit card information saying she need to have as a record even though we made reservation thtu Expedia; later I guessed that many people cancelled the reservation after finding out they were mis-leaded(cheated). A Manager complained saying Expedia takes too much commission (30%) on the reservation. The room was converted from garage and looks clean, though. I believe that Chelsea should advertise the this B&B as Wayside Inn not Chelsea Garden so that we do not feel "cheated". This type of business behavior should be banned at least by Expedia which has a good name.

Yelp
I've been visiting Calistoga for over 7 years and this is my first negative review for a local B&B, or hotel, in this town. :( First: Prepare yourself for one of the most difficult and drawn out reservation experiences imaginable. I completely understand the need for a head count of guests, but needing to know exact ages of children/newborns, seems a bit excessive. It was also very difficult to get basic information, and communication required numerous email exchanges to even gather information such as pricing, space availability etc. [...this should have been our first clue...] Second: After our initial check-in, the owner essentially refused to make any human contact with us, choosing to communicate via emails when they were only a few feet from our door. Third: If you know anyone in town, don't expect to have them over for dinner...or even pre-dinner drinks, without being peppered with long emails for doing. This B&B manager sees the customer as an inconvenience, and is sure to not hide their feelings about it. The lodging WAS quaint and clean, but I can think of at least 7 other cottages or rooms in Calistoga where you can find a similar quality stay for the same price or better without all the harassment. In conclusion, if you want a real wine country experience there are so many OTHER incredibly tremendous B&B's, Hotels, and cottages in the area.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this B&B while perusing Craigslist for a weekend getaway. I called them to ask about booking, price and such. They were prompt to return my call. (Points for that already!) We booked a stand alone cottage, facing the street - a patio leads one into an area made to look like a kitchen - a fridge, a book case etc, and then the two rooms with a bath. Clean sheets - points again! Clean floor - points again! Clean, ventilated bathroom - points, points, points! Fireplace in the front bedroom - romantic!! The one thing that got us to think for a bit - the windows are old, so there's cold draft that seeps in. About the common area: Good breakfast; owner is thoughtful and polite. He made it a point to ask about food preferences - million points there! That was one perfect weekend, even though the perfection doesn't exist (relatively....) - enjoyed our stay, enjoyed the spa experience the 1st night, enjoyed the good Italian food at Bosko's, and then biked the next day to heart's content.

Kelly D.

Yelp
This place is absolutely darling! It was so quaint and felt like home~ we couldn't have been happier with this inn. Chelsea was so helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back to Chelsea Garden Inn on future trips to wine country.

Jill M.

Yelp
This place is lovely and small which I like when you want to go to a bed and breakfast. The staff was accommodating and friendly giving us direction around Calistoga and the wineries. However, I didn't like how old the facility was. You can hear everything with the neighbor next door and the floors were loud and old. Antiques are everywhere and nice, but too old. It took forever to get hot water. The location is also interesting; sort of run down and a bit scary. But you can walk to Main Street and find lovely restaurants to eat at.

Gregg R.

Yelp
Stayed here and rented out the entire place for a group event. Great Location in Yountville about one block from the Yountville downtown area near wine tasting and shops. The rooms are quaint and place is Clean. Private pool area, and parking is no problem on street or in private driveway. Each room is decorated differently, and most have private access to the front or street. We did not partake on the breakfast option as we rented the place which menat we were on out own for meals which was fine given that we had full access to the kitchen area to prepare our own meals

Misha T.

Yelp
Wonderful staff and they accommodated my super late reservation! I would totally recommend them to folks.

Ben N.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere and great location. The owner was very nice and enthusiastic. It was suppose to be a bed and breakfast, but due to a glitch the kitchen was closed the night we checked in. To make it up to us the owner upgraded our room to a bungalow and supplied us with everything we needed to make breakfast in the kitchen in the room. And what a room, wow! It has its own washer and dryer and a lot of room to spread out. The property has a separate game room was also very impressive and would be great for a family to use. My wife and I biked to the Inn and arrived a bit late for check in tired and hungry. She was quick at getting us to our room and gave us a perfect recommendation on a place nearby to eat and listen to live music (Calistoga Inn Restaurant). We would definitely stay here again if we were ever in Calistoga and I am sure would give it a five star rating after trying their homemade breakfast.

Yelp
My wife rented the entire inn and threw me a retirement party. It was excellent. Chelsea Garden Inn is well decorated, furnished, and maintained. The innkeeper, Judy, was very friendly and helpful, and the location was quite convenient to downtown. Highly recommended.

Sandra G.

Yelp
This inn was chosen by my husband as a getaway to celebrate my birthday. We were lucky enough to stay in the Garden Room. This delightful room filled with white wicker furniture and soft pastel colors has the added bonus of a private bricked patio looking out on the garden walkways & swimming pools. The breasfasts are not to be missed! We would definitely stay there again.

Judy S.

Yelp
I booked this Inn after looking online for places to stay in Napa Valley. All of my family (there were eight of us) came here to celebrate my 75th birthday and we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were cozy, quiet and clean and our host, Judy, was friendly and attentive and made a delicious breakfast. We hope to return one day!

Brian S.

Yelp
The bungalow was great! We were very comfortable and it had everything we could want. It was close to town and some great wine tasting. Chelsea was a huge help and gave us a great dinner recommendation at Evangeline. We plan on going again and were very happy. Thanks again Chelsea!

Yelp
My friend and I live a distance away. For her birthday, we decided to meet in Calistoga at the Chelsea Garden Inn. We had a lovely stay and we will be back. It is the sweetest place EVER. A gem, really. You get the feeling of being in a little English garden inn, right in the heart of Calistoga. Jennifer is the onsite manager and hostess. She could not have been more welcoming. She toured us around and settled us into our "Palm Cottage". She is ever so gracious and such a had worker. In addition to everything else, the breakfast she prepared was top notch, prepared on the spot, in the great room kitchen, and served to order. This quiet oasis, "far from the madding crowd', is just the place for a weekend R and R. It has a home away from home feel, and ever so inviting. I recommend this spot to anyone going to Calistoga, And the manger will give you all the information you want on restaurants, spa locations, and local attractions. I will be back for sure! Thanks to the owners and Jennifer for a perfect stay. ~~Rosemary

Yelp
Awesome awesome stay. Will def go back when I visit again. My 3 friends and I stayed here for a girls trip (it was my girl bday). We stayed in the first room toward the front. Each suite has a name but it escapes me at the moment. I absolutely love how friendly the staff was. They called me before we got their to get our names and see if we had any food allergies for breakfast. Upon arrival there was a welcome letter with details about the room and area. There were some cookies on the table for the bday girl. Rooms were great. Loved the fireplace. Shower was amazing!...Breakfas was from about 7-9am or so. We had different food and drink options which was great. After staying at a B&B, I will def look at those first before the typical chain hotels. Such a wonderful experience!

Yelp
I can only assume people seem to be happy with this place overall because not too many reviews mention the Palisades suite. I'm a fan of kitschy, vintage decor and this room was not that at all. It was simply random crap from different decades (mainly odd knick knacks) collecting dust in a non-cohesive manner. There was nothing charming about this room at all, especially the bathroom which looks like a converted closet. I've never seen a bathroom door made of two rickety wooden doors that barely stay together. The "bathroom" consisted of a toilet crowded next to an extremely outdated shower that was an eyesore to say the least. Not one shelf in the shower, by the way. The sink was outside the bathroom and was just a basin, no countertop at all, which made it extremely difficult to get ready in the morning The internet connection never worked the entire time, so I wouldn't bother factoring "free wifi" into the cost. I'm thankful we only stayed here a night, and it was extremely close to restaurants and vineyards. Oh and the pool looked like something out of an 80s horror movie. It was absolutely filthy, like it had been neglected for years (see photos). So cross that off the list of amenities as well. I allowed for 2 stars because the place wasn't dirty (kind of dusty though) or full of bugs. But my boyfriend and I found the cost of a night there to be absurd compared to what we got for it. The outside of the inn has a nice charm but the inside is just unacceptable, including the also extremely outdated and randomly designed common area. Breakfast was fine. Decent french toast and the coffee was actually very good. They did have an extensive VHS collection in the room, if that's your thing.

Yelp
UPDATE - I am increasing my review to 4 stars for a few reasons. 1) The owner followed up with me based on my review within 2 days and was very gracious. 2) She did tell me there was not a traditional stove, I just had forgotten. 3) The traffic may have been busier than normal due to the holiday week. _____________________________________________ I would give the private cottage 4 stars, however the location was not ideal. Yes, it is in the heart of Calistoga, but what you don't see when arriving after dark is that it is right next to a main street which people drive up and down all night long playing extremely loud music. By the time tides down, it starts up again with the work traffic. I made the reservation the week before with the owner. She was very nice and professional. She been gave us $50 off since they weren't really serving breakfast the week Christmas. Nice discount for 1 night. Two disadvantages; 1) the small kitchenette did not have a traditional stovetop (in fairness it didn't say that it - I am just used to that when you rent a cottage). It did have a convection oven so I was able to improvise. 2). They knew in advance we had 5 people staying in the cottage but yet they only left 2 regular bath towels.

Chris G.

Yelp
Super cute cottages in town and walking distance to everything in Calistoga. We were able to check into our room early which was super helpful. It's nice to have more space than just a single room. The kitchen was reserved for a large group so we ventured out for breakfast.

Alison S.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed here on our anniversary and loved it. The rooms were cute and super cozy. We stayed in the lavender room which had a cute little fire place and an awesome claw foot tub (eeee!!) Breakfast was good and the ladies were very helpful and welcoming. Minus one star for the thin walls. The people next to us were watching a movie and we could hear every word. If we heard that, I don't even want to think about what they heard from our side ;)

Derek I.

Yelp
All, If there were ten stars, Chelsea Garden Inn would be getting them all. Chelsea, Jennifer and their team were phenomenal. As a former Inn owner, you couldn't do better. I brought my Mother to Calistoga for her 65th B-Day, Retirement and Spa extravaganza. The experience at CGI was second to none. I will be back and refer to any and everyone. Ciao, Derek.

Shane C.

Yelp
Great place and service was amazing! They had a nice warm fire and great breakfast every morning. Very friendly cat named Cabernet!

Yelp
Horrible, sewage smell from bathroom. Dirty room. Rude innkeeper, a dog that barked all night... My husband and I stayed there a week ago. We were escorted to our room by Jennifer, the innkeeper. We walked into this granny attic room with pillows, draperies, lace everywhere. And very dirty carpet. I get the whole charming B and B thing but there is no possible way that room can be cleaned properly. The thought of what was on all those pillows made me want to faint. Rooms don't have to be dark and cluttered to be charming and warm. We kind of just sat there in shock over the dirty rug and well, just stuff everywhere. Then we looked in the bathroom. It smelled like a port-a-potty in August. We were pretty much horrified. I went downstairs and told Jennifer about the smell of human waste coming from our bathroom. She looked surprised and told me she had just been up there... really??? REALLY??? After sniffing in the bathroom she obviously agreed there was something wrong with the plumbing. She quickly took us to another room and it seemed clean, not a lot of "stuff" around. Our new bungalow had a small outside porch, which was nice. We spent the afternoon in town and returned to our room after dinner. Oh, can't forget to mention the dog in the next house that barked ALL night long. Thank goodness for earplugs, which we both needed to wear to mask the noise. The next morning we tried to get into the main house area and found it locked until breakfast, which I believe was 8:30. I thought I could maybe get a coffee before breakfast. The meal was prepared and served to us, begrudgingly by Jennifer. It was a pleasant meal, french toast, sausage and fruit. She chatted with another couple, I'm sure their bathroom didn't smell like a truck stop. When it came to us it was a curt, thank you or two and I'm glad you liked it and that was it. She never even asked about our new accommodations. Nice stuff, huh? I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Terrible experience. Gross

Yelp
We stayed at the Chelsea Garden INN in October for the first time and we really enjoyed our 4 night stay and felt very comfortable. As several of the reviews state, the INN has is very "homely" feeling and the Inn Keeper (Judy) was just wonderful. She gave us loads of information about the town, wineries and restaurants! Judy's morning breakfast is a great start to the day! She loaded us up with fresh fruit, granola and a Hot entree every morning. Since we are vegetarians she even cooked us a special Vegetarian Breakfast :) We were traveling with another couple and we stayed in the Palisades Room which is on the second floor of the main house and it was very private and spacious! Our friends stayed in the Lavender Room and the Garden Room and the both their rooms were great. The INN is walking distance from the main street in Calistoga and it was very easy to walk home after a delicious meal and even some wineries. We are getting married in Calistoga next year and definitely plan on returning to the INN. We live on the east coast as do majority of our guests and therefore the INN's location is very central. The spacious rooms and common areas are perfect for our wedding party and family. We're really looking forward to going back. Thank you Judy and Susan with being so helpful and accommodating.

KD T.

Yelp
My boss treated us to a night at Chelsea Garden Inn as a Christmas gift, and we had such a wonderful time. Judy was super nice, it's located walking distance from the downtown area of Calistoga so we walked to our massage appointment and wine tastings, and the room itself was lovely, quiet and so comfortable. Breakfast the next morning (french toast, chicken apple sausage, fruit and nice strong coffee) was delish, and if you're a cat lover you will love the resident feline. I wish we were able to stay longer. We will definitely return someday.

Christina A.

Yelp
In early February, my boyfriend took me to Napa on a little weekend getaway for my birthday. He booked a room at the Chelsea Garden Inn. I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast before and was excited for the experience, but skeptical of the anticipated tight quarters. To much of my surprise, my boyfriend and I had a lot of privacy. Although we shared a wall, our room was actually apart from the entire house. Additionally, our room was actually two rooms (a bedroom and a sitting room), which included a cute private bathroom. Every morning we would go to the main house from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. where Judy (the Inn Keeper) would make a delicious breakfast! This cute little bed and breakfast is only two blocks from downtown Calistoga and only a short drive to all of your favorite wineries! We will definitely be going back to visit!

ishtar a.

Yelp
We loved everything about the inn. Judy was such a great host! I wanted to take cabby home with me. The pool was amazing as well we will definitely be back. I have already recommended it to several friends and family.

Brian T.

Yelp
We just stayed for a single night -- but were quite pleased. Everything was clean, nicely decorated, and friendly. Good breakfast in the morning... internet wasn't working (good thing I brought my 3G ipad...). A very nice place to stay, I would do it again.

Hein T.

Yelp
If you know what to expect, you can't go wrong. We really enjoyed our stay! Pros: - excellent location, close to Main Street with nice restaurants - spacious rooms (lavender suite) - very nice breakfast, lots of fruit, cereals and every day changing hot items (we had fresh French toast and sausages) - affordable Cons: - interior is bit outdated, but adds to the charm - don't expect a boutique b&b with nice amenities and staff that's constantly running for you If we go back to Calistoga, for sure we will stay here

Ksen L.

Yelp
The most charming place, with very attentive staff and cute rooms. There is a very friendly cat on the premises. The breakfast is great - lots of berries and fruit! It is conveniently located. Would definitely visit again.

Kendall Austin S.

Yelp
Food was great, and the location was very convenient to downtown and to many wineries. Yes, the decor needs to be upgraded, but it's kind of what I expect in a B&B. It's a very quiet place, too, with a sweet kitty lounging around.

Andrea M.

Yelp
Beautiful, comfortable and incredibly convenient property located only one street away from the restaurants and shops of downtown Calistoga, yet it was peaceful and quiet. We rented the entire Inn as well as sveral cottages on the property to accommodate our large business group of 12. It was perfect. And the owners were incredible accommodating and gracious. We will most definitely return!

Raghavi R.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days and it was so quite and great. We stayed in one of the bungalows and the room was very big. We had a great claw foot tub in the bathroom and cute sitting room. The room had really great touches. There were great antique pieces that gave the room a great old world feel. Judy was really great with helping us find places to go to in town as well as shipping our wines home for us.

Dee O.

Yelp
Our son gave us a gift to stay at Chelsea Garden Inn for Christmas and what a great place it is. Sweet, comfy, quiet, and Judy, the Innkeeper was wonderful. She went out of her way to make us happy. She fixed us a wonderful french toast breakfast with lots of goodies on the side. We stayed in the Palm Room which was delightful, but all the rooms looked great. The location was excellent, good restaurants, wine tasting and an adorable downtown to stroll in, all just around the corner. Would definitely recommend this Inn as a great romantic get away for all ages! Thanks, Judy, your the best.

Amy G.

Yelp
Our vacation was absolutely amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the Chelsea Garden Inn. The casual atmosphere at the Inn, the cozy rooms and the breakfasts were wonderful! We loved being a short walk from the main strip where we had several very good meals. Judy was a terrific help with shipping our wine purchases home which eliminated a whole morning of running around. Don't expect high end accommodations, this isn't that kind place which you can probably tell from the photos and from the moderate prices. However, it's comfortable and very relaxed. Our room felt a bit cluttered but it & the bathroom were clean. Some of the common areas could benefit from more frequent cleaning, such as the tables out by the pool. The resident cat, Cabernet, was very friendly and helped us to not miss our own pets quite so much.

Kathleen R.

Yelp
This is a place I definitely would go back to. Attractive in a cozy way, charming, and comfortable. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool after a day out exploring. Our room was the Palm Suite, which consisted of a very nice bedroom, a main room with a bed in it, and a bathroom. It also had chairs and a small table on our own front porch. It was designed well for a party of 3, which we were, with an extra sink/mirror area in the hallway outside the bathroom. As someone else said, it is not a new, immaculate-looking place, but it is clean and inviting, with the character of an older home. The breakfast was delicious. The hot meal that day was chili rellenos. It was an easy walk to the main drag for dinner.

Judith B.

Yelp
We stayed here for my daughter's wedding in Calistoga. We rented the entire inn between all my family members, as vacation style. The place met our needs really well. The photos don't really do it justice. The main house is charming and spacious common areas were helpful at giving everyone room to spread out. Kitchen had everything I needed. The garden suite was separated from the main house and was the perfect place for my parents so they could have a quieter, more private space. The gardens were lush and green. Jennifer was delightful and quite helpful. The quick walk to Cal Mart and downtown was so convenient. I am hoping to go back some time and rent a suite "inn style".

Samantha k.

Yelp
Beautiful getaway for my family! We highly recommend this place! Amazing breakfast, great service and amenities. Planning to come back again!

Mark R.

Yelp
We stayed at the inn for the second time September 15 - 20, 2012. The rooms at this B&B have a very home like and private feel to them. We stayed in the Garden room this time and loved it - clean, quiet, comfortable bed. We especially enjoyed the private patio facing the pool. Innkeepers were extremely gracious providing all sorts of information about the area including good recommendations for area wineries and restaurants. The inn is located on a quiet side street about a block and a half from the center of Calistoga. Breakfast consisted many types of fruits, berries and granola with a different hot entree each day. On the day we had to leave we had a family emergency and had to return to Michigan instead of heading to San Francisco for another leg of our trip. The assistant innkeeper, Samantha was on duty and made every accommodation to make sure we got on the road fast to catch our plane; much appreciated. This is our absolute first choice of where to stay in Napa Valley!

Rachael K.

Yelp
This place is just fanastic. My Girlfriend and I came for a Girls' getaway while I took a CIA seminar. The customer service here is wonderful. Samantha checked us in and she was very sweet. She also cooked up some yummy french toast. Judy is the Manager and she was very patient wth us. My friend and I were wine tasting all day and immediately locked ourselves out of our room. Judy happily let us in. Five minutes later we had a problem lighting our fireplace and once again Judy came to our rescue. Mind you we were bothering her at dnner time on Halloween so the amount of patience was surprising and made us feel at home. The suite was very cozy. The resident Kitty was very sweet as well. We left some stuff in our room after checkout and Judy again demonstrated great hospitality by searching for and returning our possesions. All in all I would definately come back, and recommend Chelsea Garden.

Bryan M.

Yelp
My best friend's family rented out the whole Chelsea Garden Inn to accommodate the groomsmen for his wedding. Judy, the innskeeper, was incredibly welcoming and helpful during our stay. My mother is in a wheelchair and, despite not having full ADA accessibility, Judy took every effort to make sure that she was able to access her room, the dining area and the pool. The breakfast was fantastic every morning, homemade and creative. It was so much fun to be in a large housing area with a group of friends and to be so well taken care of. Another benefit: the Inn is very close to downtown Calistoga and pretty much any business is in short walking distance. I had a great time here and will recommend it to any friend visiting Napa.

Yelp
So lucky to have found Chelsea and her amazing home away from home. She was so welcoming and the place was fantastic. We sat by the pool and sipped on wine and played cards by the pool. It was so close to downtown and got an amazing recommendation for dinner. The breakfast was to die for and can't wait to come back again and spend more time!

Yelp
Clean, quiet, friendly, and cookies waiting for us! Beautiful rooms and grounds too.

Yelp
We had a great time at the Chelsea Garden Inn in February. I never know what to expect with a Yelp deal, but I was happily surprised this time. I took my parents who were visiting from Toronto to Napa, and we stayed here one night. My daughter and I were in one suite, and my parents were in the adjoining suit. The rooms were super quiet and peaceful, and breakfast was super delicious! The Staff were very friendly, and ready to help us with anything we needed.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I called very last minute for a reservation as our other plans were "rained out" and Chelsea Garden Inn was more than happy to make accommodations for us. Our Innkeeper Judy was so kind and sweet on the phone (felt like I spoke to a family member), and even was able to upgrade us to a private location (The Garden Room-with private patio facing pool) free of charge because it was my birthday!!! The location is quaint and absolutely adorable with lush plants and cobblestone, and the rooms were clean and stocked with everything you might need for a weekend stay! We didn't get the chance to enjoy the breakfast, but were able to walk to many great restaurants downtown within just a few minutes. We will definitely be coming back and might rent the entire place out with a few of our loved ones sometime! Thank you for the lovely memories!!!

Yelp
This year, my husband and I stayed for the Napa Valley Marathon. Last year we had stayed at the Marriott; race headquarters. First the pasta dinner that the b&b's put on was really nice. I enjoyed the small atmosphere and the company of the other b&b guests. It was also nice not to have to get up at the crack of dawn to catch the bus to the start of the race. The Chelsea Garden Inn is just a quarter mile from the starting point- and I got to sleep in and have a leisurely cup of coffee- which Judy had ready! Coming back to the b&b after the race to soak in the nice big claw foot tub was a nice treat, too! In addition to the marathon, we spent a few days enjoying the wine tastings and breakfast with Judy and her wonderful Cabbie! Definitely recommend if you want a nice, homey place to cuddle up!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend in March. The accommodations and location were wonderful. Judy made us feel right at home from the time we checked in. The breakfasts were great and the rooms had all amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. The grounds are beautifully decorated with flowers and plants. Loved the Chelsea Garden Inn would stay here again.
