🍟Loaded Fries: the waffle fries elevated this dish and the diced chicken on top was yummy. The cheese sauce however, took this down a notch. It was clumpy and not too appetizing after having barely cooled down. 🥪🍗🌶️ Nashville hot chicken sandwich: the bun, sauce, coleslaw, and chicken breading were all standard. What was off-putting was the color of the chicken - a dark grey on the inside. I didn’t get sick, but it wasn’t too appetizing as I bit into it. This could just be a dark meat thing, but it did affect my experience. 🍗🥢Szechuan chicken tenders: the sauce was delicious and sweet. The chicken itself looked much less gray then the chicken sandwich. If I were to order again from Chen Chen’s, I would just order this item. There isn’t much seating. I’d recommend this place for takeout or delivery only. Overall, a budget option and nice to try if you’re in the area. I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to purchase this meal again, though.

Google
I had the Lil’ Nashville Hot Chicken and the Lil’ Szechuan — both were spicy, crispy, and packed with flavour. The buns were soft, the toppings were fresh, and the waffle fries hit the spot. The vibe is super chill, with a cute patio that’s perfect for a casual bite. Love that it’s a mom & pop spot using halal chicken — you can really tell they care about quality.

Google
We ordered for takeout and the food service was great and amazingly fast. We got the large mac and cheese without bacon, the elote, po’boy sandwich and the Szechuan poultrygeist extra hot. The food was good overall, the Szechuan chicken burger was great and the spice did not disappoint. What was underwhelming was the mac and cheese. It did pair well with the Szechuan sandwich however on its own, it was lacking in flavour. Overall, I would go back for the chicken sandwich but I do think its on the pricier side.

Google
Honestly best fried 🐔 burger in Toronto. The chicken burgers are always fried perfectly and with the right amount of spice. Get the medium spice (mild you will not taste anything). Fairly filling sandwich worth the distance. Washrooms have kinda been neglected.

Google
Found this cute little gem while walking, the owner was nice and attentive! The food was incredible especially the corn, the chicken was succulent, crispy and full of flavour. I didn't take a pic of the chicken, I was too hungry! Gobbled that right up!

Google
Sandwich was very small regarding the price and other chicken fries sandwiches, the piece of meat I could barely taste throughout eating it. Also overall it lacked flavour, coming from someone who choose Hot for the spice level .. that says a lot .. The reviews confuse me.

Google
As the competition for Nashville Hot Chicken spots quite literally heats up, it’s getting harder to find the best one in Toronto. I tried out Chen Chen’s Nashville Hot Chickenwhich serves your OG Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches but also a more unique type of sandwich known as their Szechuan Hot Chicken sandwich which had a sweet and spicy kick to it and I absolutely loved it!🤤 Their Mac and Cheese and Nashville Hot Elote (Corn) which were equally great! P.S: Inform the staff to not put bacon in your food if you eat Halal.

Google
Ordered Nashville hot chicken tenders (the spiciest version) and it was delicious. Even with the delivery the tenders were crisp and the meat was super tender. With that level of spice I was surprised, that the heat wasn’t the overwhelming part. The chicken was indeed delicious. The aioli wasn’t as great as the chicken, had better ones. But didn’t matter as I am not a dip guy. Still a five star for the chicken.

Yelp
Chen Chen's was the first stop on our three-stop fried chicken sandwich tour (PG Cluck's, Chen Chen's, and Tokyo Hot Fried Chicken), and it set the bar HIGH. We ordered the Szechuan and Classic Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches and were split 50/50 on which was better. The chicken was crispy yet tender with just the right amount of heat, and the bun was perfectly toasted. Easily one of the top hot chicken sandwich spots in the city. The only downside is that the space is pretty small, so seating was a bit tight--but the staff was very helpful and even brought out some extra chairs, which we really appreciated. I'd definitely come back for round two!

Yelp
Is the Szechuan Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich the best hot chicken sandwich in the city? I haven't tried ALL the hot chicken sandwiches in the city but this one has got to be near the top on anyone's list. Toasted bun, very nicely constructed, very tender perfectly cooked chicken. We had it spice level HOT the last time we were here and it was just spicy enough to get the lips warm but not enough to overwhelm. The Szechuan taste is a brilliant partner for this southern classic. You can eat in at the counter, or in the summer the patio is a nice place to enjoy your sandwich in peace and soak in the busy Queen West energy just up the street. Love this place, the staff give off a good vibe.

Yelp
I love this place, its a unique twist on the hot chicken sandwich especially if you try the Szechuan style. They also make a very traditionally hot chicken sandwich. Juicy and crispy. The sides are also very delicious. When the season is good, one can dine out on the patio and people watch. Staff is very nice, and it's pretty delicious. I have tried a bunch of fried chicken sandwiches in the city. This goes on my top 5 list

Yelp
This place is small, but has so much character. I love the art that they have as well as their lighting and they have to have the coolest bathrooms. I've seen in a long time for a quick serve. I can't believe I'm starting this review off talking about the bathroom. On what you really came for, the food is magic! We tried the Szechuan spicy chicken sandwich and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with the waffle fries and I'm still thinking about it days later. The crunch is so perfect in both of them. The flavour is nice and I like that you have a range of spiciness depending on what your tolerances. We did medium and that was perfect for me. Even the waffle fries are perfect crisp on the outside soft on the inside. Really looking forward to coming back here again.

Yelp
Chen Chen's hits that spot for fried chicken sandwiches. I did takeout since I went after work and wanted to enjoy in the comfort of my home. One concern was that the restaurant is about 30-40 minutes drive away from home so I wasn't sure if the sandwich would still be crispy by the time I got to eat it. I can confirm that this sandwich stays crispy even with that drive! I was amazed and the flavours all hit that spot. The chicken was also super moist and juicy. I can't handle a ton of spice so I got the mild level and it was the perfect balance of spicy but flavourful. I also ordered a side of waffle fries and they were deliciously seasoned with their house spice. Hint of spice, tons of flavour. The staff is super friendly and patiently answered all my questions. I had no issues ordering and deciding what flavour and spice level works for me. I also noticed the time the staff at the desk took to explain the different flavours to another customer. Super friendly and helpful. The space is limited here for seating so don't expect to have a huge group eat inside. However it looks like they have some outdoor seating ready to be setup for warmer weather. It's a casual place to grab a quick bite and drink. Overall had a great experience at Chen Chens and can't wait to head back for another great meal.

Yelp
Saw it being featured on social media, litterally places an order for pick up. I was easily able to place the order online. I got the Szechuan X Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich for $14.50 for the sandwich alone. It was tasty, spicy and tangy at the same time. I just wished there was more coleslaw to balance the meat, bread. The chicken was crispy. It was fairly greasy. Inside the place, there is limited seating, it was packed so on a busy night, expect to find a seat.

Yelp
Love their burgers- tender and juicy. Personally I like the Nashville burger more because it tastes spicy and savoury. I do have expectations on their Szechuan burger as I'm a fan of Szechuan food but turns out I was a little bit disappointed because I didn't expect it to be sweet. As a person growing up eating Chinese/Szechuan food, I can tell you this is not Szechuan style but rather close to the sweet and sour meat- a Guangdong dish (咕嚕肉). I wouldn't say the burger was bad or anything, but I just personally don't like sweet and sour chicken with burger. (Chen Chen don't take it personal, I still think your Nashville burgers are the best in town I would definitely go again, but I would only order the Nashville burger

Yelp
I've heard about this place on instagram and I tried a similar place called Chicas chicken, so I had to make a comparison. I got the Nashville hot chicken medium and the Szechuan Nashville hot chicken. Both of them were so good but the Szechuan one was my favourite, I think they put Szechuan peppercorn or something. But this place is like once a year type of place because it's very rich and fattening. The chicken was crispy but moist inside, and their sauce was awesome, service was excellent waited less than 10 minutes for the sandwich. The ambiance it was quite a small place like get in and get out they do have some seating where you could eat your sandwich. The sczechuan was my favourite because it had that perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and the chicken was so juicy and flavourful. There another place like Chens in new York which I also want to try but glad there's this place in Toronto. I like the Asian twist to fried chicken it's unique and this place is full of flavor great job

Yelp
Wow! Loved this Yelp experience! I've always walked by Chen Chen's without knowing it was there, so I'm glad I was introduced to this location. I ended up getting the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich (spice level hot) with a side of waffle fries. The order took approximately 10 minutes. When it arrived, it was very warm and fresh, and the spicy waffle fries were nothing short of amazing. I'm not usually a fan of waffle fries but these were the best I've ever had. The chicken sandwich was a perfect balance between spicy and savory. The coleslaw within the burger made it a refreshing experience. The interior is quite small but cozy. There's some spacing to sit, but I was pleasantly surprised but the constant traffic into the shop, most of which was Uber orders. Once again, this was probably the best Nashville hot chicken sandwich I've ever had, and I've had a few during my time!

Yelp
The burgers at this shop are the best burgers I've ever had in Toronto, without a doubt. The portion of the bun is substantial, and the meat is juicy and full of flavor. I highly recommend everyone to give it a try. 呢間舖頭嘅burger係我喺多倫多食過最好食嘅burger,沒有之一。個包份量好大,而且啲肉充滿肉汁。高度推薦大家嚟試吓

Yelp
When we randomly have that rare deep fried, crispy chicken burger craving, we always think of two locations (depending where we are), Yonge Burger (North York) and Chen Chen's (downtown). Downside is that it is very small and no dine -in for small groups. And with fried chicken, it's best when fresh and hot. But regardless these babies stay warm and crispy for quite some time and it is fried to perfection. Service is quick and friendly and I highly recommend if you're in the south-west end of downtown.

Yelp
Our current favourite for spicy chicken sandwiches in the GTA! Hubby got the Szechuan Nashville Hot Sandwich which was so juicy and definitely had a kick, while I got the Mac and Cheese with Hot Chicken bites which also had a kick but definitely less than the Szechuan. The vibes and service were also great, but seating is limited as it's a small space.
google avatar

Yelp
This unassuming little restaurant actually has one of the best Nashville hot chicken sandwiches I've ever had. We got the medium level spicy and it was a nice amount of heat. Staff is friendly, and there's plenty of seating inside and in the outdoor patio.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious! I'm not usually a fan of burgers but this was beyond what I expected. The buns were soft and moist, the chicken itself was thicc, juicy and flavourful! The slaw tied the burger together by providing a refreshing crunch. The spice level was perfect although I might go with the spiciest level the next time. The waffle fries were crunchy, and perfectly salted - not to mention pleasing to the eyes. The sweet chili cauliflower bites were delicious - big fresh cuts of cauliflowers and perfectly seasoned! I personally didn't enjoy the mc and cheese - I thought it was a bit dry. Good thing I didn't order that

Yelp
I was hoping to really love this place as I traveled over an hour to get here. However, Nashville hot sandwich was not flavorful. Even when I tried to eat the tender without the bread/bun, it still lacked flavor. The staff said that they get their halal meat from two different butchers who get their meat from Sergeant Farms which provides halal meat. I won't be returning.

Yelp
I finally got to try Chen's Chen's Chicken Sandwich recently, and it was absolutely delicious. From the moment I took my first bite, I was greeted with the perfect combination of flavors and textures that left me craving more. The fusion flavours of schzewan & Nashville combined just hits the spot! The chicken itself was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. I got the white meat option. The seasoning was just right, adding a wonderful depth of flavor without overpowering the dish. The bun was soft and fresh & the coleslaw goes well together. Service is good & efficient. Washrooms are clean. They have a couple of chairs and tables that allows you to sit in and eat.

Yelp
I stopped in and picked up some lunch today at Chen Chen's Hot Nashville Chicken (it's in my 'hood). I got a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with "Southern" heat (a tiny kick heat) and no slaw. What a sandwich! The chicken was tender with just the right amount of coating and heat. Yum! I also got a large mac 'n cheese so I can have leftovers. Chen Chen's recently made it into the top spot in Yelp's Canada's Top 100 Places to Eat in 2024 and I can see why.
google avatar

Jenny Z.

Yelp
I love that they have a Szechuan spicy chicken sandwich. It's so unique! I tried it and it was super juicy with the numbing spice that lingers after you have chewed and swallowed. It had just enough sauce flavor. Chen Chen's front is pretty small. I imagine people order to go in the neighborhood. There's a supermarket nearby if you're looking for any soda other than the drinks they have offered.

Yelp
I ordered the 3piece tenders (medium) with a side of creamy potato salad and had no regrets! The medium spice level (next is hot and then holy shit ) had a good kick to it, what I think most people would enjoy. You get to taste some heat, but also the chicken...I like spice, but not to the extent that you can't taste anything else. It takes about 10-12 minutes for the order to be ready as they cook it fresh. It comes to the table hot, juicy and crispy. It's definitely a flavour bomb. It comes with white bread, pickles (omg some of the best sweet pickles I've had) and an aioli sauce to dip your (tenders) heart away! Luckily it wasn't busy so we ordered and sat outside on this beautiful day! My friends also ordered the spicy fries and they were nice and crispy! The service was friendly, and I think the prices are fair, definitely a good option on Queen W.

Yelp
You can get a sense the second you step inside that the owner Chen puts a lot of passion and care in to his food. Stopped in twice during my time in Toronto after I'd been craving Nashville hot chicken. Had the chance to try both the Nashville and Szechuan versions of the chicken (all white meat for me please!) and both time got the "hot" version of each. I'm gonna be anticipating my return!

Yelp
This is must go place !! Yelp
Boy did these guys hit. I was recommended the schezwan chicken sandwich by the worker there and he helped me make the right choice. This sandwich is delicious! The spicy waffles fries are soooooo good too. Would come back again and again!
google avatar

Gabriel S.

Yelp
They get 3.5 stars. Got a Dirty South (loaded fries) & added chicken. It was a generous portion (of chicken too) with tasty sauces & real bacon bits. Sadly the fries had very little crispness; this really hurt the dish. The chicken was good: crispy, flavourful & juicy. Medium was a good spice level - some kick but not too much as to overwhelm the flavours.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered takeout from here several times for my brother and I. Without a doubt, this place is a must try if you are in the city. The chicken stays crispy even after a one hour commute home! The chicken is Halal too! Food: I mainly go for the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich - heat level medium (a good kick of heat). I tried mild before, but medium makes it a notch tastier. Every sandwich comes with a large piece of fried chicken thigh sandwiched between brioche buns. Each bite is accompanied by crunchy pickles and Southern slaw that balances out the fried-ness of the chicken. After enjoying my sandwich, my stomach felt full in a good way and did not feel heavy. I thought the mac and cheese was alright, it did not stand out to me. Service: The staff here are always friendly. They do offer walk-in specials on specific times/days, but the wait time could be long depending on the time. This shop gets real busy so I recommend ordering at least 30 minutes in advance on their website. Pricing: The incredible taste makes the price worth it every time.

Yelp
Big fan of this style of sandwich, these folks have an interesting take on it. First, kind of hidden away, pay attention or will miss it. Inside really geared for take out but have a few high stools and counter to eat in. Ordering easy, was told sandwich would take 12 minutes, it was ready in 12 minutes! Nicely packaged for take out. Napkins and wet wipe in the bag. Sandwich was very big. Fresh. Crispy. Tasty. Server at counter was very friendly. I liked it. I will come again.

Yelp
January 7, 2021: Kinda more like a "Lupper" then a lunch. This was a delicious fat & calorie laden Lupper. The chicken sandwich was amazingly tasty. Loaded up with sauce & fillings. The bacon Mac & Cheese was fabo to me as well. What really popped to was the cauliflower bites. They were delicious & are a must order item. We were served by a very nice & polite young lady. Lost a star for the lowbrow take out area. Lots could be done to improve that.

Yelp
Fire. Straight fire. I ordered delivery through Uber eats and actually couldn't decide between this or Dave's hot. Soooo glad I chose this, cuz wow. Even with delivery, the chicken came criiiisp. As if I was eating it straight out the shop, without burning my mouth lol. I ordered a mild and it was the perfect amount of heat for me. Not saying it was spicy but I like spice where it's not to the point where it's unenjoyable or you can't taste flavour. So mild was perfect. I could still taste the chicken with a little heat , which by the way was thick and juicy. And as you can also see, a great portion. The sauce, slaw and pickles all complimented each other to make a great all around sandwich. And those pickles were thiiick, which I actually liked. Bun also wasn't too soggy, even through delivery. Can't wait to try it again!! Believe the hype.

Yelp
I was in the area and decided to stop by for an early dinner on a Thursday night. They have a pick-up counter outside, but they also have about 6 counter seats to accommodate walk-ins. The cashier was kind and recommended I try their Szechuan Fried Chicken Sandwich (medium) since it's been popular lately (Total = $16.79). They make them fresh so I waited about 10min for the order. Even though it was sauced, the outer batter was crunchy and the sweet/spicy Szechuan flavour combined with the coleslaw and aioli were really good. As expected, eating it was pretty messy but they had hand sanitizer at every table and provided napkins. The medium isn't as spicy as I thought it would be, but I would say I have a pretty good spice tolerance so maybe I'll go hotter next time and bring some friends so I can try their other items.

Yelp
Chen Chen's Nashville Hot Chicken just might be one of the best chicken sandwich joint in Toronto. All their items are great, but the Szechuan X Nashville Hot Chicken deserves a special s/o. The chicken is always crispy, the sauce is savory with just the right sweetness, the coleslaw adds some nice creaminess and the spiciness (I always get "Hot") is ACTUALLY spicy (which is rarer than it should be in this city). Being actually from Sichuan in China, the sandwich really does have some Sichuanese tones while retaining its identity as a fried chicken sandwich. This spot definitely deserves a stop if you're in the neighborhood. Just make sure you can take the spice.

Yelp
Omggggg this has to be the best Nashville style hot chicken sandwich I have eaten in TO and let me tell you I have had them in Nashville. Went here on a Saturday late afternoon-ordered over the phone and the order was ready in 15 mins.It was late afternoon. I went with the hot sandwich with fries. The sandwich itself is huge with this huge piece of thigh meat perfectly battered, fried and seasoned to perfection tucked in a brioche bun you could order in the bread as well. The pickles used in it were so so delicious next time I might just request some on the side for ab extra charge. The hot itself is pretty spicy I don't think I can handle the super spicy level. I love spicy food but that extra extra spicy just takes away the taste for me. Price point is fair. The sandwiches are all meat and huge. The staff is friendly. If you are looking for a great fried chicken sandwich this the place. Next time I'm definitely trying their Mac and cheese and the potato salad. Kudos team Chen Chen for creating the epic sandwiches here to many more !!
google avatar

Helen T.

Yelp
I had high expectations from this place based on everyone's review. We ordered their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and Szechuan x Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. As someone who loves spicy food, this was not spicy. Therefore I did not enjoy it too much. The sandwich itself was priced at $12+ dollars and came with two pieces of chicken breast with no sides. I added some chips myself to make it a meal.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! It's got the best items from other restaurants all in one location! I've been here twice and each time I'm pleasantly surprised by the portions. Right off the bat, the chicken sandwich is HUGE and absolutely tasty. The biggest sandwich I have literally ever seen! We got it in mild spice, but it was still packing a punch without the bread, slaw, and pickle I'd be quick to grabbing some water. The mild tendies are in the same boat, absolutely giant and I did in fact need water. Their signature sauce is similar to that of Cane's but it's got its own goodness that pairs perfectly with the chicken and fries. Soy garlic wings remind me of bonchon, but the sauce is sweeter and the wings are larger, I definitely like it way better. Spicy soy garlic chicken nuggets (sorry forgot to take a pic of them) are slightly different in taste from the regular soy garlic, it wasn't spicy in my opinion but it was just as delicious! Everything from the portions, the music, take out box design, and the graphics in the restaurant are outstanding. 15/10 will absolutely recommend. Excited to try the loaded fries next!

Yelp
This is a covid delivery review! So many chicken sandwich restaurants in Toronto. This is a local joint with a decent offering. Food was tasty but what stood out from the rest was the exceptional buns! They tasted fresh and just baked and complimented the fried chicken well. The fried chicken itself was very soft to bite into even with the crust. Food was unexpectedly filling. I'd recommend it just so you can taste their buns!
google avatar

Tammy N.

Yelp
We got a Mild Nashville and Hot Szechaun sandwich. Portions were pretty small compared to other chicken sandwiches I've tried, and it fell apart fast while I was eating. Quality was great though, the chicken was big, thick, and juicy. Mild nashville: really crispy breading. Mild was enough to give a little zing. They kind of skimped out on the slaw though, so the sandwich left me feeling a bit greasy. Hot Szechuan: the spice builds up with each bite. You can taste the asian influence of flavours (seems like ginger, onion and soya sauce). They load up on the sauces. I was sweating because of how spicy it was, but it was delicious.

Yelp
Chen Chen's Nashville Hot Chicken was on my list to go to for the LONGEST TIME. Their chicken sandwiches were literally calling for me and I finally caved. I got their OG chicken with a side of Mac & cheese - I originally wanted their hot chicken sandwich, but ordered the wrong thing. BUT I was NOT disappointed! I honestly just wanted to try out their chicken and it was THE JUICIEST I ever had in so long. So flavourful & crispy, I can't imagine how good their hot chicken sandwich will be when I try that out. Waited only 10 minutes and service was great. WILL BE BACK!

Yelp
Great food, the Schezwan chicken is to die for. I usually do Uber eats and they pack it pretty well too

Yelp
Got the Szechuan which was really good and not too spicy . The waffle fries were also excellent. Was definitely full after the meal

Yelp
We got: - OG chicken sandwich (hot) with fries - Hot chicken x schezhuan sandwich (poultrygiest) with buffalo cauliflower - bang bang chicken po'boy Everything was 10/10. I love spice and I handled the poultrygiest well. If you can handle your spice go for it. It's has a great kick. Can't wait to go again. I wish I took more pics but I was rushed and everyone was hungry lol !!

Yelp
Chen Chen's Nashville Hot Chicken is located in kind of a hidden area within the Stackt Market, but it's definitely worth seeking out. I knew walking up to the counter I had to order - what else? - the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and I requested it hot (which prompted an "are you sure?" from the proprietor). It was ready just a few minutes later and it's an intimidating 'wich. It's also messy as heck, but good lord is it ever tasty. The perfectly-fried chicken is coated in a flavorful and super spicy sauce that's nothing short of addictive, while the coleslaw and pickles do an effective job of tempering some of the sandwich's crazy heat. I can confidently say that Chen Chen's is offering one of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the city, and I can't wait to eat another one.
google avatar

Tarrah L.

Yelp
The chicken sandwiches are really good, they're crunchy, crispy & a little greasy (which I love). They had an offer for a free Nashville hot elote (corn). They were pretty good, little slices of cobs of corn covered with some spice & Parmesan! The only thing I didn't really like and could have went without were the fries. They are VERY spicy! Woo! I just wanted some regular fries. My most favourite item over EVERYTHING was the Mac & Cheese w/bacon, it was ooey, gooey, cheesy & rich! I could have ate this all on it's own! Overall the food was awesome, will be ordering again in the future!

Yelp
Excellent tenders. Located just off queen St w. Done fresh, breading is not too much and chicken is moist, perfect

Yelp
Chen Chen's Nashville Hot Chicken Located in Toronto Do you ever crave fried chicken like we do?! This spot serves southern comfort food that is halal. We ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken (medium spice), Szechuan x Nashville Hot Chicken (hot spice), Mac n Cheese with Hot Chicken Bites (medium spice), Nashville Hot Elote & Slaw. The all of the chicken items were soo tender - they use chicken thighs We appreciate their crispy coating on the chicken as it was not too heavy and tossed in their signature spices. Their Nashville Hot Chicken was our favourite out of the two. A huge piece of chicken between a brioche bun stuffed with slaw and house sauces. This sandwich was delicious! We were a fan of their bun and how juiciness of the chicken. The Szechuan x Nashville Hot chicken was dress and paired the same as the regular Nashville Hot Chicken with a slightly sweeter taste. We also got this sandwich as hot spice which was pretty spicy for us, but it balanced nicely with the sweetness of the Szechuan seasoning. Their Mac n Cheese with Hot Chicken was a classic creamy dish. We love how they incorporated bacon bits and topped it with their signature chicken tenders. We really enjoyed this item! The Elote riblets were so fun and easy to eat! seasoned well just wish they tossed a bit more parmesan on them. Lastly, their slaw... We love everything we tried but the slaw didn't hit the spot. It was a bit basic, dress in some oil and vinegar. We wish it was more of a cream base or more saucy. Overall, We enjoyed this spot and would recommend if your craving for some quality Nashville hot chicken sandwiches. Their staff is friendly and quick. 8.5/10 . . . Nashville Hot Chicken - $12 (average price) Szechuan x Nashville Hot Chicken -$13 (average price) Mac n Cheese with Hot Chicken Bites -$14 (average price) Nashville Hot Elote -$7 (average) Slaw - $5 (average price)

Yelp
Their fried chicken sandwiches are DELICIOUS! The chicken is well seasoned, really juicy and perfectly crispy. Their sauces and aioli are very flavourful and not too salty. Everything worked very well together! The only improvement is that their mac and cheese could use more flavour, but the stars of the show are definitely their chicken sandwiches

Yelp
What a fun spot in the heart of Toronto ... located in an outside area at Stackt... it's the perfect little spot for a late lunch or afternoon snack. The service was so friendly and helpful - She took time to explain the whole menu and make recommendations on what we should try. We opted for the OG Nashville hot chicken... The crispiest spiciest tenderest piece of chicken served on a slice of white bread. She topped it with some pickles and coleslaw for us for a perfect taste in every bite. Definitely stop in and give it a try if you're in the area

Yelp
" Oh Not Another Chicken Sandwich " There's only oh soo much you can say about a piece of breaded chicken, that said .... Is the chicken juicy - yes Is the breading good - yes, not too greasy Is the bread good - brioche ain't cheap for a reason Is the slaw good - yes Is there a pickle - yes, never knew a slice of pickle would make so much of a difference Is the sauce good - yes Is there spice - yes, and its flavorful Is the Sandwich Good - 100% Are the sides worth it - meh, think buying another sandwich would be better Among local independent chicken sandwich shops, Chen Chen stands well and high. Simple and straightforward, +1 for packing the sandwiches in a box. Would recommend and would definitely try again when in the area. 5/5

Yelp
For me, this was one of those places that you can't wait to try because of the reviews and recommendations but end up being utterly disappointed. Their food looked great on Instagram and the reviews were also reassuring so I decided to give it a try. I ordered delivery (because of the lockdown) - I went with the Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Fries. The burger was OK, like it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. It was dry and had chewy texture (not in a good way). The fries tasted like they were drenched in spices - I am not sure if that's how they usually are or was it an accident, but I couldn't even have two pieces. If you want to order fries, I recommend just going with regular ones. Overall, I did not enjoy it and I will not be returning here. However, I would probably recommend this place for dine in - maybe their burgers are better when fresh.

Yelp
I have been looking at this place for a while and we finally ordered delivery for national fried chicken day (7/6). My friend got Szechuan x Nashville chicken sandwich with medium heat. The exterior is not the crispy type but the meat is extremely flavorful and tender. Medium heat does not pose any threat to my friend. I got Hot Chicken Tenders with aioli. This is the more traditional crispy fried chicken. The meat is tender but the seasoning is not as rich as the Szechuan x Nashville. I would try the Szechuan tender next time since it's their specialty to do this type of 'fusion' cuisine

Yelp
Delivery order: If you look st my reviews, you will always see even when I give 5 stars, I mention possible flaws. However, for Chen Chen, it is impossible to mention anything. I have been trying different chicken sandwiches and this one is THE BEST! ( June 2021, who knows it might be overthrown haha). Everything about this sandwich is spot on, the flavours, the chicken, the sauce. Well done Chen Chen!!

Yelp
Taste great!! I am from nashville, but I think Chen Chen's is much better than Nashville Hot Chicken in Nashville.
