Chen Sea Resort & Spa Phu Quoc

We had a wonderful time staying at Chen Sea Resort and Spa. We stayed in a pool villa which was absolutely stunning. Staff were so friendly and polite. Prior to check-in, we were greeted with welcoming drinks and fruits upon arrival. Swimming pool was clean and overlook to the sea. Very quiet, peaceful resort and worth every penny. We felt like home away from home. Thank you Chen Sea.

The Vietnamese Island of Phu Quoc is rapidly developing. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and just want to relax – consider coming to the Chen Sea Resort. The main town is about 20 min away if you want to go to the night market or do some shopping. The Chen Sea is a lovely well set out small resort with its own private beach, infinity pool, water sports equipment, massage facilities and spacious grounds. Transfers to and from the Airport and the hotel were part of our deal and very convenient. The staff are friendly and attentive. We stayed in a beach fronting sea view villa. It was private, spacious, well-appointed and homely. We enjoyed some snorkelling directly in front of the beach and there are plenty of small fish and crabs to look at. Unfortunately, like much of the oceans and waterways in the region, there is a lot of soft plastic waste floating around in the water. The hotel had staff dedicated to constantly removing as much as they could. We also went out for a paddle on a 2 person kayak which was fun. Our package included breakfast. The buffet had a lovely selection of local fruits, pastries, fresh pressed juices, and a large variety of warm and cold western and Asian foods. We had no space for lunch after the delicious breakfast and Vietnamese coffee. The Italian restaurant provided the inhouse lunch and dinner options which we did not try. However, if you want to eat authentic Vietnamese local food in a very relaxed beach front environment on the sand, there is a little hidden gem. Just a short walk down the beach is the Bamboo Restaurant. It’s hard to find if you go inland but it’s a straight 2 minute stroll on the beach from the hotel. The Bamboo is not a fancy place, is run by a hard working family who dish up some amazing freshly cooked food at very good prices. Their fruit smoothies, spring rolls and fresh seafood are great. If you love tuna, they have a signature dish that you need to order in advance. The Chen Sea resort is ideal for couples or families with older kids who just want to take it easy and de-stress in a quiet location – away from the mass tourism and mega hotels and attractions found on the other parts of Phu Quoc.

The hotel was absolutely amazing! The service was exceptional – the staff went above and beyond in every possible way, always with a smile and a genuine desire to help. They assisted us with everything, from booking tours outside the hotel to contacting the airline – we truly felt cared for at every moment. The hotel restaurant was excellent, with delicious and varied food that could be ordered directly to the pool, the beach, or the room – ultimate comfort without compromising on quality. The entire property is spotless and beautifully maintained, with attention to every detail. The rooms are large, spacious, and comfortable, offering a real sense of peace and privacy. The beach is gorgeous – clean, calm, and well-equipped. Guests can use snorkeling gear, kayaks, SUP boards, and more, all in a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. This is truly one of those hotels where the service and overall quality exceed expectations. Every request was handled quickly and kindly. A truly outstanding experience – highly recommended!

Amazing hotel. Located on a private beach, actually. Accessible and beautiful. Great pool. The suite we booked was very large, beautiful and comfortable and included a private pool. Every morning the room was cleaned and in the evening they arranged and turned on air fresheners and put a tray of fresh fruits and chocolates on the beds. Breakfast is good. The staff is nice and helpful. Highly recommend. The only thing I would improve is to have staff present at the pool all the time who could take orders from the bar and not have to ask. Other than that it was perfect

We stayed in a beach view villa which was beautifully designed - pure luxury. The resort has beautiful gardens which are extremely well kept - all the staff go above and beyond for the guests. There is a free local bus service which runs regularly from the main road. |Breakfast was superb - we ate dinner in the restaurant one night which was ok, but a mainly western menu. We ventured out and tried a couple of local family-run restaurants which were brilliant, and much cheaper!|We didnt see Phu Quoc at it's best (monsoon season) but we enjoyed staying at this beautiful resort

What a lovely stay we had here! Everything was perfect. Except for the weather , we did travel during rainy season but nonetheless the sun did come out to play so that was very nice. ||Room was comfortable, our private jacuzzi was good. We didn’t realise our lunch packages included appetizer and desserts so we ate a lot. And it was great food. Very happy about that. And also the whatsapp chat we had with the hotel. Very quick to reply and accommodating. ||Will come back again one day.

We had the most wonderful week at this beautiful hotel. Myself and my husband travelled from England with our 14 month old. From the moment we arrived at the resort we knew it was somewhere special. Having lived in Malaysia for two years and stayed in some amazing places, Chen Sea definitely is up there with the very best! ||||Food- the food was incredible. We went all inclusive and it was fantastic. Although all inclusive, you choose off the menu and the food is cooked fresh for you. I am gluten free and the chef went above and beyond to ensure I could eat most of the menu with a few tweaks. Our 14 month old still needed quite soft food and again, they made sure she had steamed vegetables etc. ||||Dinner- Every night (weather dependent) you can have dinner on the jetty at the waters edge with a lovely view. We also enjoyed a seafood bbq one night (not included on the all inclusive but very reasonable priced!) with fire dancer! ||||Staff- the staff are a fantastic asset to this wonderful place. They couldn’t do enough for you and made sure you had the best time! Every single person in the bar and restaurant was helpful, kind and professional. Special thank you to Trang who our daughter loved! ||||Pool- the pool was beautiful and there were always free sunbeds anytime of day-what a luxury! You could also WhatsApp the bar from your sunbed with your drinks order and it was delivered to your sunbed! Perfect service. ||||Rooms- we had a room on the sea front with a lovely bath and sunbeds outside. The view was great and the rooms were clean and very big! ||||Spa- I had a couple of massages whilst staying here and they were very relaxing and the place where you had them was beautiful. ||||Overall, this hotel was fantastic and if you want a luxury, relaxing hotel this is the place to go!

We have stayed at Chensea Phu Quoc many times since it was still called Chen La more than 14 years ago, and every trip adds a new memory we truly treasure. It’s the place we choose whenever we want to be close to the sea and leave all the busyness behind.|Our first stay here was for our honeymoon. Back then, Phu Quoc was still so peaceful and quiet. I still remember riding a motorbike from the town back to the resort at night, the road was pitch dark, there were no lights, no people, just us and the sounds of nature. We had to drive slowly to find the small turn into the resort. It felt scary but so exciting at the same time. That first trip made Chen Sea a special place for us ever since.|What makes us return again and again is how Chen Sea lets you stay right next to the beach. The rooms are just steps from the beach, every morning we open the door and the waves greet us. At night, we sit on the terrace and listen to the sea and the wind in the trees. Even in summer, when the sea here is rough and the rain comes, It’s amazing to stay warm inside with family, hearing the heavy rain and the sound of big waves crashing outside. It feels wild but peaceful at the same time.|I have my favorite little table by the window in the restaurant. It’s my spot every time, breakfast with coffee ice, looking out at the waves, never gets old.|The staff here are a big reason why we keep coming back. Many remember our family and our son. This year, our son secretly asked Mr. Hung, the head chef, to help him make a Father’s Day cake with his pocket money. Mr. Hung surprised him by gifting the cake instead and even let him visit the kitchen, it made our son so happy!|Another sweet memory: every night, housekeeping leaves chocolate on the bed for guests. Our son loves this so much that last year he saved them up in the minibar but forgot to pack them when we checked out. This year, the housekeeping lady - Ms Kim Chi - remembered and gave him a big bag of chocolates on our first night. Small gestures like this make you feel more than just a guest.|All our stays have been during the summer, which is not really the best season for Phu Quoc, the sea can be rough and the weather unpredictable. But we still love everything here. I believe if we can come back in the perfect season one day, it will be even more beautiful.|Booking is always easy for us because we’re familiar with the resort now, and they have a flexible, warm policy for loyal guests. Ms. Loan, who often handles our bookings and welcomes us at reception, is always so kind and helpful too. It always feels nice to be remembered.|If you want a place that feels quiet, with the sea always right at your door, and people who really care, Chen Sea is worth trying. It’s not about fancy luxury, but about warmth, peaceful moments, and memories that make you want to come back.
